Chapter 5-14
Haruka: Dig in, everyone—teriyaki salmon donburi!
Akihiro: Wow, this is... This looks amazing, Haruka-san!
Zemimon: It’s definitely the first time such a feast graced our humble little abode. Perhaps this could be motivation for you to improve your culinary skills, Akihiro?
Akihiro: Y-you don’t have to put it that way, Zemimon...! I’m fine with making simple meals...but I admit, seeing this makes it hard to go back.
Dedemon: Ohh, this looks wonderful! I never would’ve imagined you could cook, Haruka!
Haruka: Huh? Why not? I don’t look that unreliable, do I?
Dedemon: N-no, it’s not that, just... Comparing today’s meal with yesterday’s veggies is like comparing heaven and ear-
Haruka: *glare*
Dedemon: Uwawaahh!! Forget I said anything!!
Natsumi: Hehe... Really, thank you so much, both of you! This looks absolutely amazing, I can’t wait to dig in!
Dedemon: Yes, let’s eat!! I’m starving! After some food and a good night’s rest, I’ll be ready to bring all of you back underwater.
(Natsumi: I wish Fuyu-chan were here with us to enjoy this dinner, but...all the more I need to see her again. And I won’t run anymore... I’ll find out the truth. Together with Dedemon, and everyone here.)
Haruka: Pangorumon... Hey. I know you like veggies too, so I added extra in your portion. Help yourself...okay?
Pangorumon: ...
Pangorumon: *nod* Thanks, Haruka.

@rakkirrrowch said (inbox):
' kento-san, kento-san! ' he rushes up to the other as fast as a little wrapped dog can, tail wagging and ears flapping and a wagon rattling behind him, a number of fish within. ' happy toy day! merry holidays! hey, d'ya want a salmon?! i caught a whole bunch today! see, i'm real good at fishing, but i'm not so great at cooking ... so i thought, maybe i could bring a few to someone like you, and we could eat a whole bunch together! um, if you're not busy, a-and don't mind and stuff. ' he'd understand if the other had something else they had to do. ' my dad always says, days like these are the best to appreciate everybody around you, so i'm trying to do just that! i'll even give you a fish or two extra! then you can share with anybody else who's important to you too, rrr-owch! '
NANAMI’S FEATURES INSTANTLY SOFTENED upon hearing those tiny little feet ruffling through grass even before he had turned to look upon a certain small, bandaged dog. There was a faint upturn of his lips into a smile, the hard lines upon his features no longer present as he bent down so that he was no longer towering over the other. ❝Going around giving your friends gifts today, hm? Honestly, there was no need to go through the trouble for me.❞ If anything, he hadn’t expected to get anything at all; and so to be met with this was…surprising. A pleasant, wonderful surprise, but surprising nonetheless. His gaze switched from Lucky to the fish piled up on their little cart, a brow rising just a little. At first, he was confused as to what he was meant to do with this (did Lucky want him to eat it raw…?), but further explanation chased away any doubts he might have had. ❝You know…there is a lot I could do with fish, especially considering how fresh it is.❞
Nanami often didn’t have much time for cooking himself; however, he hadn’t been run ragged lately with missions, and so he could spare some of his time to do something for Lucky too – to give his OWN gift in return for what they brought him. Meals, after all, were best enjoyed with someone else too. ❝Your father is a wise dog,❞ he replied, somewhat amused by his own words and how ridiculous they sounded leaving his lips. ❝Since it is ‘Toy Day,’ how about I cook that salmon for you and me? I will get to enjoy what you brought, and you too get to enjoy it as well. I will prepare some teriyaki donburi with fried tempura vegetables that will have your mouth watering and stomach content at the end of it all.❞ Considering Nanami was a foodie, no doubt he would really bring out that maximum flavor without too much effort. Now all he needed was the vegetables and ingredients… Reaching out, he gently pat the other’s bandaged head.
❝Thank you for thinking of me, Lucky.❞

Thanks for the tag @rose-wine-selfships!!!! ♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎ I love doing these a ton!!! )^o^( (doing here instead of my main though aaaa I hope that’s good!)
Relationship Status: Single, lol. Always have been- I needed to better myself first before I thought about that kind of thing!
Favourite Colour: Red, honestly, but I have a soft spot for light blue, lavender and soft shades of pink.
Three Favourite Foods: Anything with sugar Sushi, cheesecake, and strawberries!!!! But I also really love oranges and chocolate;;;;;
Song Stuck in My Head: …Nawatobi XD it’s a song from Love Live, sung by Hanayo. I can actually sing most of it myself too, which I’m really proud of! Even if my singing sucks
Last Song I Listened to: “Free” from The Princess and The Pauper (yes, the Barbie movie, yes, I’m one of those hgvghvhgvhv)
Time: 3:07 PM!
Dream Trip: Japan… just, Japan. As much of it as I can see in a trip. It’s such a beautiful country, and I’d love to either go in spring when the sakura trees are in bloom or in winter when it’s all snowy. There’s just so much beautiful culture there, but I want to go only after I’m fairly fluent in Japanese- which is the main reason why I want to learn! After all, it’s a beautiful language, and it’s easier for everyone if I speak the language. And I just love learning about it even if kanji repeatedly stabs me in the gut Also, I’d just love to try the different foods, visit the landmarks, all of that stuff. Plus the stories my Japanese teacher told me of visits they took there are just ♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎♥︎ It makes me wanna go EXTRA bad;;;;
Also Tokyo has a Disneyland and I’m certified complete garbage for Disney parks. I have had phases where I research so obsessively I would forget to eat or sleep sometimes and one was for Disney parks so;;;;; yeah. D R E A M…
Anything I want: AAAAAA I’ll give four fun facts about me because why not!
-I have a few consoles that I paid for all by myself!!! It took a lot of saving, but after chores and all that I actually bought some of my gaming consoles myself. My Wii U and Nintendo Switch are 100% mine and bought with my money! (I’m still proud of young me for that one)
-I used to be insanely picky when I was little, and hated sushi back when I was a smol. I only realized that “hey, this stuff the best actually” around the middle of high school when my parents suggested I give it a try again. I didn’t actually go for sushi at first when we went to the restaurant, I got donburi (beef teriyaki to be exact) and my parents got actual sushi with fish and such. But when I basically fell in love with the donburi, I asked to try some sashimi and I basically wondered what baby me was on saying she hated that stuff. Ever since it’s been a big favourite! I especially love salmon :D (sockeye though, Atlantic salmon doesn’t taste quite right to me)
-Long, long ago, before I had a tablet, as a Smol I wrote self insert and self ship fanfiction on coloured construction paper and set them up like storybooks. Yes- I did that. I stapled them together and read them like books. Unfortunately they are lost to time, but that was the original way I wrote my bad fanfiction. Now I just post it on the internet
-I don’t actually know much about my family history, like, at all. It’s always been a rough thing for me, but it’s hard to get information. I only have one book that talks about a bit on one side of the family, but that’s all. I hope to know more one day though!!!!
AAAAAA I’m a bit too shy to tag today, but if you see this and want to do it consider yourself tagged!!! (yes, that does mean you, I see you)

Teriyaki Salmon Donburi
Serves 2 1 cup uncooked short-grain white rice 1 water to cook rice 2.5 oz soy sauce 2 oz mirin 2 tbsp sugar half an onion, finely chopped 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced ~1/2 lb salmon, or enough for two people 1 green onion, thinly sliced finely grated nori
Get the rice cooking, either on the stove or in a rice cooker. Combine ingredients for the marinade and soak the salmon fillets until the rice is done. When you turn off the heat of the rice, start frying the salmon with roughly 1/3 of the marinade on medium heat. When edges of the salmon turn brown, flip the fillets and add the rest of the marinade. Cook until done. Serve the salmon over white rice and garnish with the green onion and nori. **Need to figure out better liquid measurements.**
