Beautiful, tasty, crunchy - this is what lizards think about when they see Saffron. No one knows exactly what kind of slugcat he is, but for some reason he attracts more predators than any other ones. Bad for him on one hand, but good for everyone else on the other. That’s why he is always ready to take the hit and lead the danger as far away from colony as possible. Even if it means he might need to be saved afterwards😅
He didn’t have any sort of special abilities or poisons like many other slugshrooms. So he can only rely on his strength and agility. And after years of training, he really became a good guard, although his work still sometimes leaves scars on his body

I don't know how it is in your countries, but here it's very popular to go hunt mushrooms in autumn.
There are many different kinds of mushrooms and many ways to cook them. But if you wish you could still enjoy them after the season ends, here's how to preserve them.
This recipe uses the saffron milk cap, also called red pine mushroom (Lactarius deliciosus), which is one of the commonly used mushrooms in Catalan cuisine. You can also follow this same recipe with pinkmottle woodwax, also called false russula or russula-like waxy cap (Hygrophorus russula).
(Translating the names of mushrooms is tricky. If you want to know which mushroom that is in your language other than English, you can look them up on the English Wikipedia and from there change the page language to yours.)

I went over to a friends place to slaughter & process some of her domestic geese, the deal being that if I do the unpleasant work I get to take one home. It is fine now but it did smack me across the face surpisingly hard with its wing & people think I got in a legitimate fight. I am a little sad since I was planning on doing a version of thanksgiving yesterday where I make a dinner for my friends & housemates out of recipes from the middle ages with mostly period accurate ingredients. I went and bought saffron and 100% rye bread and sheeps milk cheese and I was gonna make the goose and also some eel pie & design the crust with little eels all over. If the power comes back tomorrow I should be able to salvage most of it I hope

How to prepare Supangle: Turkish chocolate dessert

Heat the milk in a suitable container and first add corn starch and sugar along with cocoa powder and mix until the corn starch dissolves in it.

Add the egg yolk and vanilla to the ingredients and stir until it thickens a little and add the chocolate to the ingredients until it melts. If you like the taste of the dessert bitter, you can use dark chocolate, or if you want it to be sweet, use sweet chocolate.
Step 3

So in commemoration of finishing my jacket, I also custom mixed an FellSans themed tea, since I’m a tea person, and will share the recipe in case anyone wants to try it.
The taste is something like a chai with a real hot and spicy kick at the end note. It tastes best when mixed with sugar, and becomes a pretty classic milk tea if you add milk to that.
The base should be an Assam tea. Mine happened to have blue corn flower mixed in, but that doesn’t change the flavors really.
The accents are rose buds, saffron, pumpkin spice seasoning, cardamom powder, and red pepper flakes.
The ratio should look like the first picture, with the bulk being tea and rose, and the rest being between a pinch to a couple shakes. Go light on pepper flakes. You want a warm after kick, not a hotpot broth.
Brew in boiling water for three minutes. Can be steeped up to three times.

I think it’s safe to say that every Jewish grandmother who has proclaimed, “You should eat more!” has a mean recipe for chicken soup in her arsenal. For generations, colds and flus have gone to battle with bowls and bowls of Jewish penicillin made by these bubbes, and my abuela was no exception.
I come from a family of strong women, so it is fitting that our recipe for chicken soup isn’t the clear-broth version with a lonely floating carrot slice. Ours is a stick-to-your-bones and prepare-for-war kind of soup, chock-full of nutrient-rich vegetables and flavors that awaken the senses. My favorite part of this soup is how the kabocha squash disintegrates into the broth, giving it a wholesome creamy texture without the heaviness of added butter or milk. Plus, the crunch of the bok choy and zucchini packs a solid punch of vitamin c, and makes it easy for me to eat my greens. Couple all of this with my mother-in-law’s recipe for the fluffiest, most light-as-air matzoh balls, and you’ve got yourself the better part of a seder.
This recipe may be a mish mosh of the traditions of my husband’s family and mine, but it is certainly one I would be proud to share at any Passover table or year-round.
Some of the ingredients may be hard to find. Here is a list of acceptable substitutions: Malangas – yuca or potatoes Bijol powder – saffron powder, achiote powder, or omit from recipe, as it is optional. Cilantro leaves – 1 bundle of cilantro, secured in cheesecloth, so that it won’t dissolve into the soup and can easily be removed.
