The game steadily progressed until it was clear she was going to lose. The machine was tauntingly watching her pull the last card from the pile. He had thirty two to her eighteen.

After wandering these endless caverns, you had found yourself before a black screen. After letting your fingers drag across the smooth surface, you're startled when it flickers to life.

Brilliant blue, with a logo combining the letters A and M.

"What do we have here, hm?"

The voice is cold. Not just in tone, no...it makes you feel like you've stepped into a freezer. Deep, bone-chilling, cold.

"You're not where you're meant to be...lost, perhaps?"

I went to a flower show in august 2023, where I bought saffron bulbs. Since they are autumn flowering plants, I planted them in a pot, but only 3 blooms appeared, all other bulbs developed just foliage.

I kept them in an unheated greenhouse, then planted them outide in late spring.

Now it's a beginning of october 2024 and there was no visible growth, so I thought they all drowned and rotted? So I wanted to plant spring ornamental bulbs for cut flowers in the same bed, which tolerate our climate well.

But while digging I found these idiots!?

It's october? It's been raining for 2 weeks, and after this sunny sunday, it will rain for an additional week at least. Aren't you a little late to start growing, you bastards?

Frost is a few weeks away, they will definitely not survive the cold and the damp if I leave them outside.

Maybe I should pot them up again?
