I've been making good headway on the Avoid/Confront path, my goal is to have it finished, or close to it, by the end of next week.

Once that's done, we get into the real meat of the chapter. And, oh boy, am I excited for what's to come. Might be my favorite part of the story thus far. 😉

That's my girl!

For those wondering: Episode Aigis is indeed a straight remake of The Answer with quality of life improvements and a little new character content. The gameplay loop is dungeon crawl -> sad flashback -> rinse and repeat. If you fundamentally did not enjoy playing the original, I would be surprised if you much enjoyed the remake.

That said, the quality of life stuff is nice! And they've added special items you can pick up to trigger events with party members in the dorm, which does a little bit to break up the grind. The two I've gotten so far featured two party members each (Junpei and Akihiko, then Akihiko and Ken), and it's neat to see those dynamics explored.

Elizabeth has quests for Aigis now, which I'm almost certain is new? Getting outfits for Metis as quest rewards is definitely new. It looks like they're specifically only rewards for the "fuse me an X with Y" requests, so I must sigh and squint at fusion grids again.

I only have the Winter Uniform so far. Further fashion updates as events warrant.

Also, like The Answer, Episode Aigis ships Yukamitsu:

Mitsuru, Yukari, and Koromaru will be locked in as my party of choice for as much of the game as possible, so I am eager to see what other gay little convos I get.

What's on that CRT monitor in the background?

The Persona universe having a search engine called "Sagasoh!" with a logo mimicking the old Google one is SO good to me. I love this. Incorporating it into my world-building immediately

So the "down" arrow hasn't worked on my computer since September, but I've been too busy to be able to spare my computer for several days while being fixed, so I've just been working around it. Until this morning, when I discovered that the program that I now need to use for my research (....because the old version of it relies on a program that's been discontinued) requires that I scroll through options with the arrow keys, and I can't just scroll up and loop around. Which... is lovely.

My advisor's solution, while I'm trying to find a place that will do a fast repair: connect an extra keyboard to my laptop. Pretty sure I can hear my remote sensing prof (who has already criticized my laptop for being old, my external hard drive for being outdated and slow technology, and my mouse for randomly turning off) screaming in the distance.

They need to make a physical media release of DHMIS,,,because I love DHMIS really but it's a pain to have to set up my computer to the HDMI and the E4 app to watch it because I like watching stuff on my TV but like..aughh. I have a PS3 I can play DVD's and Blu-Ray's it's so much easier!

#i got windows 7 running on a vm and the startup noise nearly brought tears to my eyes #i don't even know what i'm gonna do with it i was just feeling nostalgic LOL. i have one for vista too #this is all because my dad found a bunch of my old pc games and i had to rescue them bc he was gonna throw them out #he was sorting through old cds and just had the game disks tossed on the living room floor )^: they don't have cases #i installed windows xp on a vm after failing to get most of the games running on windows 10 because they're from like 98-03 #and most of them work that way (^: i made some drawings on kidpix and it fixed me a little bit #but then i was like man i miss vista and 7.. i've been consumed by this for the past 3 days #i also need 95 apparently because one of my games only has that os listed on it (????)#i think that one used to be my cousin's because i was -3 years old in 1995 LOL #anyway.

I randomly fell into a bit of nostalgia from the time I was like 12-14 years old and now I'm thinking about my old Sims 2 & 3 families that are probably lost forever😔

#actually re-downloading Sims 3 as we speak #I'm wondering (and secretly hoping) that maybe they're still saved somehow because the game is connected to my EA account #I used to have both games on my dad's old PC which he gave to me for playing games when I was 12 after he got himself a better one #it was still running on Windows XP and was already slow compared to my first laptop that I got for school stuff when I started high school #we moved it out of my room years ago already bc it was just taking up space and I wasn't using it anymore anyway #but when it came to playing Sims or Minecraft it served me very well for a few years🫡#selnia talks
