Lie awake a night thinking about how Ed has no idea about Stede’s dad or what school was like for him or his arranged marriage or his crippling guilt over leaving his children or the fact that he apparently used to regularly go off by himself to cry or the fact that he spent a significant chunk of time actively hallucinating after killing his childhood bully 

I need a reverse bathtub scene so fucking bad you guys. I need to see Ed realize all the ways in which Stede is Very Much Not OK. The fancy man needs a hug & a blanket, stat!
