It is with the UTMOST pride and joy that I announce to you, the project is finally finished!!! The past four months have been VERY worth the wait. I would like to thank everyone who helped make this a reality, as you are all some of the most talented people on Earth, and I would also like to thank Team Starkid for having the amazing characters who brought it together.

haven’t posted a hatchedfield head canon in a hot minute but so here’s some (spoiler alert: it’s mostly Jon Matteson characters)

-Daniel Stopwatch absolutely wears light up sketchers

-Gary Goldstein tells you the time by saying shit like “it’s a quarter past eight.”

-Gary Goldstein flips people off by pushing his glasses up with his middle finger.

-The first anime Richie ever watched was robotech

-Grace Chastity’s bike has a pink basket on the front and streamers on the handle bars.

-Paul’s favourite video game is VR Job Simulator.

-Max and Steph the type of people to troll kids on roblox (the nerdy prudes are too but just Max and Steph specifically would I feel)

-Charlotte Sweetly 100% listens to Laufey while drinking wine and staring out the window

-Ruth would absolutely love Chappell Roan’s music

-Trevor and Rudolph dates mostly just involve them walking around talking about stupid stuff and then getting lost in a forest for about an hour

-As a kid I remember playing this one “kid’s bible game” where you had to like spot the difference or find something in the background or something and I feel like that’s the only video game Grace would ever play.

-Miss Holloway would also absolutely love Chappell Roan

-Richie’s favourite Pokémon is Evee just because of the vast multitude of ways Evee can evolve and stuff like that character metaphor blah blah blah

-Richie hates the ultra violet monster energy but drinks a shit ton of it cause the cans are his favourite colour and he likes collecting them.

in universe I would imagine each actor playing a dozen people is just somewhere in the realm of similarity or family resemblance and not intended for them to all actually be identical. but I think Rudolph and max genuinely being near identical is very funny. you turn a corner and see max jagerman and think you're about to get your ass beaten then realize it's just the gay swede on his way to improv

Rudolph / Swedish Barbecue shit

I'm Swedish. I love Trevor Lipschitz. By extension, I have to love his Swedish exchange student boyfriend, Rudolph (Will Branner's character at homecoming, for those unaware). By another extension, I was then required to make a bunch of Swedish headcanons about Rudolph. At 1 AM today, I wrote down a bunch of random headcanons about them, and now here they are!

Rudolph's full name is Rudolph Svensson.

Rudolph's already a quite uncommon name in Sweden, but it's made even rarer by the fact that it's spelled Rudolph instead of Rudolf. So, simple explanation, Rudolph is trans and he chose to spell his name like that to make it look better in English.

He's fluent in English, but has a noticeable accent. It's not so strong it's distracting and hard to decipher, but it's strong enough to provoke "where are you from?" questions.

Schools in Sweden don't have sports teams and afterschool clubs, so when Rudolph first came to Hatchetfield High, he joined like seven different clubs just because he could.

It took Rudolph a solid two weeks after meeting Trevor to realize/find out Trev has an identical twin brother. He waved and smiled at Richie in the hallways several times, thinking it was Trevor. Richie was very confused.

No one knows when Trevor and Rudolph started dating. Not even them. They were just suddenly kissing and calling each other boyfriends.

Rudolph's mother taught him how to make fucking AMAZING Swedish cinnamon rolls, so Rudolph once made them for all his Hatchetfield friends. Now Trevor thinks Swedish cinnamon rolls are far superior to American ones. Picture below so you can see the pure glory.

In Sweden, barbecues aren't as big a thing as a good ol' traditional kräftskiva is (literal translation = crawfish slice). A kräftskiva is basically just when families/friends come together and eat a bunch of crawfish. Rudolph hasn't explained what a kräftskiva is, but he keeps making "The Kräftskive Monologues" jokes that no one understands, and he keeps laughing his ass off about them.

Trevor will always introduce Rudolph as, "This is my Swedish boyfriend. I found him at IKEA."

Rudolph taught Trevor the Swedish word 'lagom', which doesn't have an English translation, but basically means that something is good enough. It's not perfect or anything, but it's not too little or too much. Now Trevor uses that word on a regular basis.

Whoever came up with the ship name 'Swedish Barbeque,' I think you're really neat

I may or may not have started a story for them back when we were calling Rudolph Steven.

Trevor calls Rudolph an array of nicknames the same way Richie Tozier does with Eddie Kaspbrak.

AU I have involving the BBQ Monologues Cast!

When rehearsing at the Starlight Theatre, one of the stage's floorboards accidentally break, causing Rudolph to fall and die. He comes back as a ghost, but unlike Max he doesn't want vengeance on his fellow cast mates, so now the Drama Club has a ghost hanging around them.

Hatchetfield High Yearbook Project Signups

Welcome to the signups for the Hatchetfield High Yearbook Project

Rules:

Individual Character artists will pick the name (or only last name) for their character if their character doesn’t have one, and writers will go along with it for their articles/interviews. (unless an actor or the Langs reveal the canon names of a previously unnamed character during the process of this project)

All art and writing must be original, not AI-generated or made by anyone else (commission, picrew, etc.) 

All art and writing must be digital, it just looks more uniform. (If you need help digitalizing a traditional sketch, I can help with that!) 

Each artist will draw the characters in their piece as they normally draw them, I will clarify which characters are which along with crediting each artist in captions below the photo) 

No infighting, be respectful and agree to disagree in the discord server if an argument arises over fandom stuff. It’s not that big of a deal </3 (Note - If enough trouble is caused, you may be removed from the project and your piece may be replaced)

For now, the due date for all art and writing is March 20th. (Note: This is subject to change. If you are unable to submit your piece at the deadline, contact me, or one of the moderators if I am unreachable, as soon as possible)

A little bit about the Project:

It will be free, both to participate in and consume!

We'll have a discord server for project organization, with other general and fandom related channels for fun in the meantime.

When it is finished, I will roll it out as both a flipbook AND a slideshow, as the slide show will be of a higher/clearer quality than the flipbook program I use.

it will be modeled similarly to the Ride the Cyclone yearbook project, but without all the little info per character, as Hatchetfield High is a much bigger school than St. Cassian. There will still, however, be senior quotes!

For signature pages, everyone who participates will sign a transparent image with their name and/or a little quote/doodle, just like you would sign an actual yearbook in high school. Individual character artists will also sign a separate transparent image as their character, unless their character is an alumni, and I will arrange them on their own pages just like the signature pages of the Ride the Cyclone yearbook project linked above.

You may apply to be both an artist and a writer, but please tell me which you would prefer to be in the forms.

- regressed to around 6-7 (4-6 on a bad day, 7-9 on a good day)

- rudolph buys oversized hoodies on purpose so he can give them to trevor because he likes feeling small (trevor is sadly pretty tall)

- rudolph is good at baking and always bakes cookies for him (and makes sure trevor doesnt eat too many and gets a suger rush)
