Need to start taking the critical thinking questions bit away from people who clearly did not have to answer critical thinking questions in high school
#obligatory mention that ap english langauge was fucking horseshit and i learned nothing all year (got a 5/5)#meanwhile everybody else in my class also learned nothing all year they just also failed the class#i mean to be honest i just think critical thinking is something that needs to be taught way before 11th grade#anyway the annoying with lang was the overly formulaic essay structure actively making me a worse writer#and that if you were familiar with the literature covered + capable of reading comprehension#the answers were often pretty arbitrary and subjective. As is most of literary interpretation!!#like it's way way more about what is the most /popular/ interpretation- for example is frankenstein scifi or horror (its both)#or what the test writers would want you to answer which is often the same thing#Sorry guys i had to read a lot of reagan speeches and some awful frankenstein commentary and i never really recovered#actually the speeches were really fun i loved the entire class coming together in our intense hatred of ole ronnie

{ONE} RONNIE HAWKINS, THE LAST WALTZ | “COME ON ROBBIE, LET’S TAKE A LITTLE WALK…”Robbie still has to count Ronnie in … but the sound of his newly-bronzed Stratocaster summons up the rowdy rockabilly that Ronnie Hawkins traded in. “I didn’t know whether it would be a bad idea, but I decided to have the Stratocaster bronzed. It was a bit tricky, you know, finding somebody to do that. One of the…

Storia Di Musica #342 - The Corrs, Home, 2005

A Mads poll with a difference!
A poll of Mads Mikkelsen movies where the selection is based on range of factors, including but not limited to: genre, writer/director, country of release, date of release and 🎉vibes 🎉
Some of the movies may fit in more than one category, so vibes have mostly informed those decisions.
Round One:
Choose your fave!
Mads on home turf (mostly)...
Blomsterfangen (The Glass House Prisoner) is a 1996 Danish short about an aging prisoner who believes his son is doing well but may be mistaken. Mads plays Max, the prisoner's son.
Nattens Engel (Angel of the Night) is a 1998 Danish horror-comedy about Rebecca, who inherits a gothic mansion and sets out to explore it with her best friend and boyfriend. Unfortunately - vampires. Mads plays Ronnie, one of the vampire henchmen.
Vildspor (Wildside) is a 1998 Danish-Icelandic drama about self-destruction, romance and friendship. Focused on the friendship between Jimmy and Ossy who had previously had a wild time in Thailand. Years later, their reunion threatens to unearth past secrets. Mads plays Jimmy alongside Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Ossy.
En kort en lang (Shake It All About) is a 2001 Danish comedy-romance about couple Jørgen and Jacob whose lives change after Jacob proposes to Jørgen, and then promptly falls in love with a woman. Mads plays Jacob, the idiot who will be lucky if Jørgen takes him back!
Ponder carefully, choose wisely.

On August 12th 1990 Roy Williamson, the Scottish folk musician and songwriter, died.
Williamson was one of the famous duo, the Corries, along with Ronnie Browne. It was Williamson who penned the song “Flower of Scotland”, now used by Scottish sporting teams as an anthem.
I did a full bio on his birth date in June so will let the music speak this time. This is one of the songs I listen to regularly wandering about with my headphones on, so if you ever see a daft auld guy with an eye patch on singing this, or any other song, it'll be me!

Ginagawa at pinamumukha silang sinungaling, traydor, at kriminal.
// nina KC Dela Cruz at Eda White

Turen går til Tasmanien part 2/3
Tirsdag (Launceston - Strahan):
The Ship that Never Was.

Sobrang linis at bango pa.
at napaka the best talaga takoyaki nila dito. Sarap nila gumawa.
