I would like to offer the possibility of a Ron x Harry x Hermoine ship where Ron is the voice of reason, Harry is either the goodest or the most feral boy (or both; what's stopping him exactly?), and Hermoine IS still the brain, but she needs to be reminded to have self-control.
They can be in any house, because they will make it work.

The Tri-Wizard Tournament was just around the corner, a prestigious, dangerous tradition between the Wizarding Schools.
As one of the top students at Ilvermorny, the Northern American school of witchcraft and wizardry, you were among the delegation of students observing the tournament at Hogwarts this year.
Upon arriving, you immediately noticed the differences between the schools. Hogwarts buzzed with liveliness and laughter in stark contrast to Ilvermorny's rigorous focus and silence.
As Dumbledore began introducing each school, you listened eagerly behind the Beauxbaton girls until you heard your cue.
"Welcome Ilvermoney, from Northern America!"
The hall erupted into applause and cheers as your delegation burst into the hall, performing impressive charm work to showcase Ilvermorney's magical prowess.
Among the first students to enter, you cast your charms and glided across the floor effortlessly, following suit of your Headmistress as you made your way to the front of the hall. Simultaneously, you took in the sight of all the Hogwarts students, their colors blending in seamlessly as many curious looks were directed your way.
Just then, your gaze locked with a striking pair of grey eyes–a warmth beginning to spread within you.
A boy in yellow, with a charming smile adorning his face, stared at you intensely, his pupils seemingly getting brighter the longer he held eye contact with you. His silky brown hair was slightly tousled, contrasting his neatly put-together robes.
Seeing this mysterious boy made your heart skip a beat, and seeing you, so did his. But you quickly refocused to avoid messing up the routine and infuriating your Headmistress, completing your part with precision.
Still, as the applause of the Great Hall filled the air after your entrance ended, you couldn't help but glance back in the boy's direction.
To your surprise, he was still staring at you.
The announcements for the Tri-Wizard Champions were approaching fast. Everyone was on edge, placing bets on who they thought would be chosen.
You quickly learned that the boy staring at you was none other than Cedric Diggory, a well-liked boy at Hogwarts with a rather enthusiastic fan club.
Most bets were placed on him, Angelina Johnson–a talented quidditch player you've talked to once–and a few others whose names you couldn't quite recall. Many students, however, were bummed out by the age limit, including some of your new friends: the 'Golden Trio' and the ever-mischievous Weasley twins.
"Come on, Cedric. Put it in!" a student shouted, pushing him forward toward the age line where the goblet of fire was placed. You were sitting beside Hermoine chatting idly when his group of supporters practically shoved him into the circle.
Cedric smirked as the crowd eagerly watched him, not yet noticing your presence before turning to face the goblet. But as he approached, he caught your eye.
Cedric's steps faltered for a moment, his gaze lingering on your face before flashing you a flirtatious smile and dropping his name into the flames, attempting to impress you with his courageousness.
And to no surprise, it worked.
You were so distracted by Cedric's lingering stare and his dashing smile that you hadn't noticed Fred and George Weasley preparing their scheme to outsmart the age line.
“It’s not going to work,” Hermione muttered with a knowing sigh, rolling her eyes as the twins popped into view with their usual shenanigans.
"Oh, yeah?" George grinned.
"And why is that Granger?" Fred added, finishing each other's thoughts.
The brunette huffed before pointing at a faint white ring surrounding the goblet.
"You see that? That is an age line. Dumbledore drew it himself", she said as if that alone explained the futility of their plan.
"You really think you could fool Dumbledore?"
You nodded in agreement, amused by their determination. But despite Hermione’s warning, the twins proceeded to act out their plan: drinking an unknown potion and crossing the line anyway, only to be flung back spectacularly. The entire hall roared with laughter as not only did their botched potion leave them with beards, but the two brothers began scrambling to blame each other.
Hours later, after dinner had wrapped up, the time finally came for the selection of the champions.
As expected, Cedric, Fleur, and Krum were chosen by the goblet and called to represent their respective schools. But just as you thought it was over, two more names shot out of the Goblet. To your shock, one of them was your own, and the other, Harry Potter.
Your mind reeled. How did your name end up in the Goblet? You were only supposed to be observing, not competing. All eyes turned toward you and Harry as you nervously made your way toward the other champions. Cedric included as he too couldn't fathom how your name was entered into the goblet.
As you walked forward, you met your headmistress’s gaze. She looked at you with an expression of confusion and disapproval, but there was no turning back now.
Though you hadn't expected this, the competitive spirit that Ilvermorny had fostered in you began to surface. You weren’t one to back down from a challenge, and whatever lay ahead, you would face it head-on.
The day after the selection, things were beginning to get more hectic. Ron and Harry were arguing, the Weasley twins kept pestering you about how you got your name entered, and some of your classmates began making snide comments–calling you "cheater" and "show-off".
It was getting to you. You just needed a break away from everyone.
But, as you were making your way back to your room, trying to figure out your next steps now that the first task was being kept a closely guarded secret, a warm voice called out behind you.
"Hey, you!"
You turned around, instantly meeting those familiar grey eyes. A smile tugged at your lips.
"Cedric."
The boy’s lips curled into a smile–at the fact that you knew his name–as he jogged up to you, slightly out of breath.
"I've got something you might find useful for the first task," he said, a playful gleam in his eyes. Suddenly feeling bold, you stepped closer. Your face now inches from his, teasing him slightly.
"Oh? And what's that, Diggory?" you asked, your curiosity peaked.
He leaned in, voice dropping to a whisper. "The first task. It's dragons."
You noticed the way his eyes flickered across your face, a nervous swallow betraying his calm demeanor as he quickly glanced away and stepped back to regain his composure.
"Hagrid showed Harry earlier, and he ended up telling me. Thought I’d give you a heads-up... since out of all the champions, I’m rooting for you to make it through," he added with a wink before turning to leave.
You smiled as you watched him walk away, your heart racing with both excitement and anticipation–not just because of the tournament, but because you knew you were going to start liking Cedric, more than you cared to admit.
Unknowingly to you, he also began to feel the exact same way.
You were grateful Cedric had warned you about the first task. Normally you were confident in everything you did, but as your turn approached your anxiety spiked. To top it off, you were finding it difficult to face the reality that you were up against the Hungarian Horntail—the most dangerous of all the dragons.
"It's almost your turn, [your name]" your Headmistress called, peeking through the curtains as she watched Fleur narrowly escape with the golden egg in her hands. The crowd's cheers confirmed her success.
"Three of our champions have now faced their dragon and so each one of them shall proceed to the next task! And now, our fourth contestant from Ilvermorny," Dumbledore's voice boomed, "[your name]!"
Taking a deep breath, you rose from your seat next to Harry, whispering, "Wish me luck, Potter," before stepping into the arena. Anxiety swirled your chest as you got closer, but you kept your composure as the large applause to your appearance washed over you. You spotted some of your classmates cheering in the stands–Hermoine and Ron smiling with thumbs up and of course, Cedric clapping in the front row, cheering your name. But sat next to him was a girl in blue who looked at you with cold indifference.
It was unsettling–just the realization that strangers who didn't know you had already fostered a sense of hatred towards you. But, you pushed it aside, refocusing on the task. The golden egg gleamed a few feet ahead of you, but before you could move any closer, a thunderous roar echoed from behind sending chills down your spine. There it was: the Hungarian Horntail flaring its nostrils and preparing to lunge in your direction. Before it could pounce on you, you veered to the left, casting weak spells as you ran; Most missed, and those that landed only inflicted minimal damage.
Panic proceeded to bubble up inside you as the scent of smoke began to fill the air—the dragon was preparing to unleash its deadly flames. Quickly, you bolted and hid behind a large rock.
But then you had an idea. A risky one, but if successful would stun the dragon.
From your cover, you sprang out, shouting, "Glacius!" Ice formed in the dragon's throat, cutting off its fiery breath. The crowd roared seeing the dragon struggle and thrash its neck around. Seizing the moment, you then cast "Depulso!" sending rocks and debris hurtling toward the creature, knocking it backward and creating more distance between you two.
This gave you a critical opening.
With the dragon momentarily dazed, you sprinted full speed toward the golden egg.
Though its flames were silenced, the beast still swung at you, its massive claws just missing as it gained on you. Casting a few more spells to slow it down, you found yourself just a few feet from your goal. Simultaneously in the stands, Cedric watched with clenched fists, his expression torn between admiration and worry, as he watched the dragon attempt to take hits at you.
He had only just begun to like you, and seeing you in such danger made his heart pound like crazy.
Luckily for you though, with a final burst of energy, you lunged forward and were able to snatch the golden egg, narrowly dodging the dragon’s sweeping tail. The crowd erupted into thunderous applause and Cedric shot to his feet, cheering louder than anyone– oblivious to the jealous glares from the girl beside him and the confused glances from his fan club.
But as he stood there, his heart pounding, Cedric couldn't shake the feeling of relief that washed over him. You two were supposed to be competing against each other, yet all he cared about was knowing you were safe. Why did he feel so much lighter, so much happier, just watching you succeed?
Perhaps it wasn’t about competition anymore. Somewhere between his stolen glances and quiet admiration, you had already begun to charm your way into his heart. And now, knowing he’d have more time in your presence, that thought alone was enough to make him forget the tournament, the rivalries, and the jealous stares around him.
All that mattered was you.

Let Me Protect You - Prologue
Summary - Theo always gets into trouble and fights for your attention. Hoping that if he protects you, you will notice him. You hold a grudge against him for it. Theo hopes that one day you let him protect you without any Deficiencies.
Theodore Nott x Hufflepuff Reader
Tumblr media
Warnings (Series content included) - Dark content; Angst such as fighting physically + verbally, blood, bruises, swearing, bullying, violence, mentions of temptations of sexual harassment, reader getting stalked (Not by Theo), Sexual content such as hot make out scenes, sex, oral sex, marking, praise.
Note - I am making a series, hopefully it be will long. This does contain a lot of angst however there will be fluff, happy ending of course. Feel free to comment your thoughts on the prologue of my series.
Tumblr media
The great hall was bursting with chatter, laughter without letting you think. Y/N sees Mattheo and Draco playing the ridiculous game, who can make the person cower more to them. Blaise as usual being the judge. Pansy was in deep consideration with Lorenzo’s face going all red, poor lad couldn’t keep up with that witch.
And then there was Theo, wandering his eyes out of space until he met yours across the hall. You weren’t the one for much communication between even your so called friends, preferring your own company most of the time.
You find that most people are not reliable, they make you feel small by stepping on you in the wrong directions. You overthink, you are restless coming to a conclusion that you are better off alone, not too close with anyone.
What’s the point? You always get left out somehow.. “Friends” seem to care for a min or two with them getting something out of you. Until they realise that you do not fit in therefore abandoning you.
You may have cried over their lack of effort towards you, their harsh words after the friendship is over but what they didn’t know.. is that you came through stronger.
Digging your nose through books, always studying to meet good grades and even so the best expectations for yourself.
When you felt Theodore’s gaze towards you, your breath hitch. You close your eyes, pretending that it is not real. You are only being fooled. It’s a restless game he will not give up, not only because of his ability to charm that halfhearted spirited grin but because of his pride, his ego, his determination.
Everyone knows not to play or to begin to think entertaining Theo’s flute as it leads to ruin. Girls do ignore this from time to time, all they get is to be left behind on the sidelines.
You however, will not be another victim of one of his many little games.
Theodore on the other hand, he finds himself full of curiosity with you and your little Hufflepuff status.
As they say curiosity kills the cat!

Content Warnings: angst, hurt/comfort, implied character death, cannon divergence | Female!reader (she/her) | wc: 6k
Premise:
When the dust clears at Hogwarts, Harry searchers for the one person who can relate to him, now that all close to his parents were dead. She was the last remanence of the family he could have had, if life had treated them well. Now they were two lost souls, carrying the weight of reality on their shoulders. But while Harry would one day greet death as an old friend, she was bound to the Earth forever.
-----------
Harry found his Godmother in the Astronomy Tower. Or what was left of it really. Seated on the edge with feet hanging off, the cool breeze blowing through her hair. As he got closer, he saw the blank look in her eye, staring out to the distance at the river and trees. Smoke from the fires sizzling out until disappearing forever.
He announced himself as he approached, although Harry knew she was aware of his presence. “Thought I might find you here.” Coming beside her, Harry crouched and swung his legs off the ledge to sit next to her.
“This used to be my favorite spot in the castle,” She replied without looking at him, but Harry heard the small smile in her voice. The tone one has when recalling happy memories. “I loved coming up here after hours to admire the stars. It was the one place I found solace in, and what I missed most after….”
Harry understood what she referred to, tilting his head down. The question left his lips without thinking, “Did you ever hate them? Dumbledore, Sirius….Remus. At any point?” He glanced up with curious eyes, “For what happened that night.” The boy received a sigh, emanating the exhaustion she felt after the long, devastating battle. It was laced with grief and sorrow. Making Harry regret asking. He went to apologize but she cut him off.
“To say I didn’t want to would be a lie,” the confession hung in the air, a tightening in her chest despite the weightlifting off her shoulders. “Especially in the beginning, Harry. It’s why many years passed before I returned home. I was enraged.” Turning to him, she pressed her lips together, “I feared what I’d do, and it didn’t help that my emotions were not only all over the place, but heightened and made me uncontrollable.”
A shiver migrated down her spine, the memory of her early years after the transformation resurfacing. Along with the fear, guilt, and despair. Sniffing, she panned back to the river, “But you must know, I do not-- did not, ” she corrected with a crack, “hate Remus. Nor did I harbor any blame for what he did. He wasn’t in his right mind, as you’ve witnessed when there’s a full moon.”
Harry shuddered, thinking back to his third year. The night of many revelations. Sirius’ innocence, Peter’s betrayal, Remus’s lycanthropy…and Y/n’s vampirism.
“But Sirius and Dumbledore…..”
He heard her sharp intake of breath, her voice growing lower, “It pains me to admit it, Harry, but…..I wanted to kill them. ” Of course that feeling disappeared a long time ago. After a long journey of reflection, acceptance, and resilience. Y/n forgiving Sirius for his actions that led to her nearly dying at the hands of Remus when she saved Snape from falling into Sirius’ trap. Their reunion in 1993 was a bittersweet moment. Filled with apologies and hope for the future.
As for Dumbledore, part of her--especially now after everything that’s happened, after everything she’s lost, deep down Y/n wishes he had let her succumb to the injuries.
“What do we do, Albus!” Madam Pomprey shouted, on the verge of hyperventilating as she attempted to aid the girl in front of her. Blood poured from multiple parts of her body as she laid on the bed. Withering, shivering, turning paler by the second.
James and Sirius stood frozen in the corner, covered in Y/n’s blood from hauling her to the infirmary, watching the scene unfold with horror. Snape, laying in his own bed, mirrored their expressions as Professor McGonnagal tried to block his view. The older woman had a hand covering her mouth, “God be with us.”
Y/n groaned, face becoming drowsy as her body desired sleep. Madam Pomprey’s dress painted deep red, pleading to the headmaster with her eyes. “This is beyond my reach, headmaster. We must take her to St. Mungos.”
Albus refused, “She’s in no condition to apparate, nor travel by Floo. She’ll die before we’d set foot inside.” He thought deeply, glancing between the girl and his colleagues with an unreadable expression. Then, as though fighting the thoughts in his head, Albus sighed in defeat. “There’s only one way to save the girl.” As he reached into his pocket, retrieving the vial he’d grabbed on his way out of his office in case of the worst possible outcome, Albus motioned for Filch. “Send an owl to the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Tell them they must send a representative to Hogwarts before the sun rises--it is a matter of the highest urgency.”
With a nod, Filch makes haste out of the infirmary towards the owlery. Leaving the remaining members of the group confused and worried. Minerva approaches the man, “The Department of Magical Creatures? What in Heaven's name are you thinking, Dumbledore? Remus didn’t bite Y/n--.” She then notices the vial in his hand, face dropping, “What is that?”
Albus briefly glances at the boys before focusing back on Y/n. Preparing himself for the negative reaction he was sure to receive. “ Vampire venom .” Air catches in all their throats, Sirius looking like he wants to throw up. The women gasp, Minerva absolutely appalled.
“Are you suggesting turning the girl into a vampire?!” her voice carries with an unfamiliar tone no one had ever seen from the professor. It was like she didn’t recognize the man in front of her. In disbelief he even possessed the venom when only three known vampires were alive and located away from England.
“It’s the only way to save the girl, Minerva.”
“That is illegal!” She shouted, making even Pompfrey flinch. James and Sirius felt their stomachs drop, hearts pounding against their chest. Seeing their head of House look genuinely frightened on top of their best friend dying ignited a fury of anxiety. Minerva stepped closer to Albus, voice stern, “If the Ministry doesn’t see fit to kill her they will surely send her away. They will remove her from Hogwarts--and her family! To be alone for all eternity,” Minerva’s heart already broke for the girl. Her favorite student and protegee. “If you do this you are sentencing her to a fate worse than death, Albus.”
He was quiet for a moment, as if debating what to do. But then brushed past the woman to move beside Y/n, uncorking the vial. “Likely so. But it is a risk worth taking.”
Minerva had to turn away, squeezing her eyes shut to not watch the man do the unthinkable. Meanwhile James steps forward, sweat still beading his forehead and yells, “You can’t do that, headmaster!” Albus’ hand pauses in the air before it could pour the liquid in Y/n’s mouth. Glancing up to find James’s horrified face. The young Potter had read a bit on vampires along with the stories his father told him.
The most notable details being vampires were hunted all over the globe to the point only three were known to be alive. Living off the grid and nomadic. And that not every human bit survives the transformation. More often they die before the venom reaches the heart depending on their state.
Knowing this, James feared for his friend. “What if she doesn’t survive the change?” Albus simply looked at him and replied, “And what if she does?” James said nothing, gulping as he took his place back beside Sirius.
They watched intently as the headmaster leaned over Y/n, gently parting her lips to open her mouth. “I am truly sorry about this, my dear.” Pausing, he glanced up to Pompfrey, “Clear the room. Anyone with open wounds and covered in blood will be her target.” With urgency, Pompfrey had the boys help her lift Snape out of the infirmary. Leaving only Minerva and Albus with Y/n, who was moments away from death.
“Are you sure about this, Albus?” Minerva asked one last time. Her eyes glossed over, saying a mental prayer for Y/n and for herself in the case the transformation works and Y/n attacks them in a bloodlust.
Though sure of himself, Albus felt his heart skip a beat the moment he let the venom fall into Y/n’s mouth, “Regardless if I am sure…there’s no turning back now.”
“I hated them,” she voiced with emotion, picturing the moment she awoke to a new reality, Harry noticing the way her eyes glossed over. “Dumbledore especially. Sirius I forgave because at the end of the day he was just being a stupid kid who didn’t think his actions had consequences. But Dumbledore…I never looked at him the same again. After all, he was the one who made the choice. Yes, he saved my life, and you’d think I’d be grateful,” she shook her head, turning back to Harry with sorrow filled eyes, “but how can I, when he sentenced me to walk the Earth for all eternity. Stuck with the same face I had at eighteen. Never to grow old while those around me live their lives until death comes to greet them.”
And now she was the last Marauder. All of her friends were dead, leaving her alone in the world.
Harry’s heart broke for his Godmother. With his parents, Sirius, Remus--and even Snape--gone, Y/n was the last person close to his parents living. The only family he had left--save for his muggle aunt and uncle who really could care less about whether he lived or died in the war.
It was just him and Y/n. The Boy Who Lived and the Lone Vampire.
Harry thought back to the first day of his third year. The day he and his friends met Lupin. Enjoying their dinner with their house in the Great Hall and how curious everyone became at the mention of another guest roaming the halls.
The Frog choir had just finished their song, the room erupting into applause as Dumbledore took to his podium.
“Welcome, welcome to another year at Hogwarts!” He announced with raised arms, “Now I’d like to say a few words before we all become too befuddled by our excellent feast. First, I’m pleased to welcome Professor R.J. Lupin, who’d kindly consented to fill the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.” He motions to the man, who stands from his chair to smile and wave to the crowd. “Good luck, professor.”
Beside Lupin, Snape offers three simple claps while remaining stoic, while the other teachers beam at the newest edition to their faculty.
Dumbledore continues, “Our Care of Magical Creatures teacher for many years has decided to retire, in order to spend more time with his remaining limbs. Fortunately, I’m delighted to announce that his place will be taken by none other than our own Rubeus Hagrid.” As the half-giant stands, shaking the table as he does, the Gryffindor table erupted into cheers. Some whistling and shouting with glee.
“Finally,” The headmaster quiets the crowd, “on a more describing note. At the request of the Ministry of Magic, Hogwarts will until further notice play host to the Dementors of Azkaban until such a time Sirius Black is captured.” Murmurs echo against the walls, students whispering in hushed voices. Faces painted with concern. Most notably Harry, who turns to his friends, also visibly worried.
“The Dementors will be stationed at every entrance to the grounds. Now, whilst I’ve been assured that their presence will not disrupt our day-to-day activities…,” he pauses slightly, eyes catching a figure walking past the entrance of the Great Hall. Dressed head-to-toe in black leather, heels barely clicking against the pavement with how light her footsteps were. Behind Dumbledore, the demeanor of the entire faculty shifted. Lupin and Snape tensing, while Minerva visibly paled.
The students, particularly the Golden Trio, took the change in behavior in regard to the Dementors & Sirius Black. Who could blame them really. Sirius Black was the talk of the town. Then there was the incident on the train with the Dementors. None were aware of the mysterious woman disappearing from sight as she passed the entrance to continue her journey throughout the castle.
Dumbledore cleared his throat, “A word of caution. Dementors are vicious creatures. They will not distinguish between the one they hunt and the one who gets in their way. Therefore, I must warn each and every one of you to give them no reason to harm you. It is not in the nature of a Dementor to be forgiving,” he pauses once more, lifting a finger, “but you know, happiness to be found even in the darkest of times.” His hand waves over a candle, distinguishing the flame, “One only remembers to turn on the light.” waving his hand again, the flame returns.
“With that being said, we’ve taken the necessary precaution to further ensure your safety in the castle.” Albus glances over his shoulder and meets Minerva’s eyes, then quickly does the same to Remus and Severus before returning his attention to the crowds. All three appear nervous. Deep down, Albus feels the same, but puts on a fake smile. “We are pleased to welcome another guest to Hogwarts.”
This piques the interest of everyone, and Harry straightens in his seat to look around the faculty for an unfamiliar face. However he falls up short, narrowing his brows in confusion.
“A fellow alum, who’s recently returned to England after many years abroad. Miss. Y/n L/n…” murmurs once again fill the room, mostly laced with wonder when they notice Dumbledore had not motioned toward a woman to provide face to a name, like he did Lupin. Harry frowns, looking at Hermione who just shrugs in response. “Has graciously accepted the position of taking over nightly surveillance from Mr. Filch. She’ll be roaming the halls after curfew and is expected to report any and all suspicious activity. Including any students out of bed. Therefore, I advise you all to not leave your dormitories after hours,” Dumbledore’s voice suddenly turns serious, “unless you wish to receive the proper punishment.”
Off to the side Harry overheard the twins, Fred and George, mumble something along the lines of, “That’s rubbish. How are we supposed to see if she’s fit if she’s only in the castle at night?” A statement which had all the girls in proximity roll their eyes and glare.
Ron leaned over to Harry, whispering loud enough for Hermione to hear, “that must suck. Imagine being the only one awake the entire night while everyone else is asleep. Quite a boring job if you ask me.”
Dumbledore ended the announcement, expression slightly troubled, “Miss. L/n will not be joining us for day-to-day activities, her duty is required at night.
While Ron and Hermoine fell into conversation as the feast began, Harry’s attention was rather occupied. Noticing something strange those around him failed to see.
The guilty faces of his teachers. Including Dumbledore and Snape.
It would be a few months into the term that Harry would first meet Y/n. Dumbledore wasn’t joking about her reporting all activity after hours. Several students had breached curfew. Some go to House parties, others to get a glimpse of Hogwarts mysterious security guard. Each was met with detention that week, and all were shocked having never spotted the woman lurking about the castle.
It was as if she were a ghost. But even the ghosts of Hogwarts were lively.
She was all but a mystery.
It was a bad idea. He knew better than to sneak out of the dorms after hours. But seeing the name Peter Pettigrew, a man known to be dead on the Marauder’s map, Harry had to investigate. So, with his wand leading the light in front of him, he made his way into the halls toward ‘Pettigrew’s’ location.
“Put that light out!”
“Sorry,” he apologized to the portrait, bringing the light in front of the map. There it showed Peter moving towards him. Harry paused, staying in his position while flicking his wand outward, but caught nothing in the darkness.
His heart pumped faster, breathing heavily as he felt the anxiety rise. What was he supposed to do? Peter Pettigrew was supposed to be dead. What would it mean if he was alive? What did it mean for Sirius Black?
The footsteps on the map closed in on Harry, until they were right in front of him. Then Harry turned, lifting his gaze expecting to see the culprit but scared himself as he met his own reflection in a mirror. Confused, Harry looked back at the map to find Peter’s name scurrying away, turning the corner moving away from Harry.
Then another name appeared.
Severus Snape approached the intersection of the opposite corridor, Harry mentally cursing as he waved his wand over the map, “Mischief managed. Nox,” the light went off, plunging him into darkness.
Unfortunately he was a second too late. Severus non-verbally casts ‘Lumos’ and flashes the light in his face. “Potter,” he snarled. “What are you doing wandering the corridors at night?”
“I was sleepwalking,” was the first thing that popped into Harry's mind. A horrible excuse he was sure Snape wouldn’t believe but tried anyway.
“Extraordinary like your father you are, Potter,” Snape muttered, tone laced with displeasure. “He, too, was exceedingly arrogant. Strutting about the castle.”
“My dad didn’t strut,” Harry sassed, “and nor do I.” Matching Snape’s hard stare, Harry never lost eye contact, “Now if you don’t mind, I would appreciate it if you lowered your wand.”
Almost like he was impressed with Harry’s attitude, Snape made a face, pointing his hand downward so his wand was directed at the floor. “Turn out your pockets.” When Harry didn’t move, Snape repeated the order sternly, “Turn out. Your pockets.”
Sighing through his nose, Harry removed the map from his hoodie, but did not offer it to Snape.
“What’s this?”
“A bare bit of parchment.”
“Really,” Snape didn’t believe him. “Open it.” A second paused before Harry complied. Then Snape placed his wand directly over the parchment. “Reveal your secrets.” They watched as lettering appeared, revealing the names Harry already became familiar with but instead of a map, there was a message. “Read it.”
“Messrs. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, Prongs,” Harry began, briefly flicking his eyes up , “and Missus. Hops, offer their compliments to Professor Snape and--.” Harry cut himself off, unsure to continue as his eyes scanned over the next sentence.
“Go on,” Snape drawled, and Harry lifted his head to look at him.
“And request that he keep his abnormally large nose out of other people’s business.”
Snape saw red, “Why you insolent little--.”
“Professor,” Remus announced himself, Snape turning so fast Harry thought he ought to have whiplash. Black hair pretty much covers his eyes.
“Well, well. Lupin . Out for a little walk….in the moonlight. Are we?”
Remus ignored Snape, offering only a smirk as he approached the two. “Harry. You alright?”
“That remains to be seen.” Snape, again, turned hastily and snatched the parchment out of Harry’s hands. Leaving the boy stunned. “I have just confiscated a rather curious artifact from Mr. Potter. Take a look, Lupin,” he extends his hand, allowing Remus to take it. “It’s supposed to be your area of expertise. Clearly, it is full of dark magic.”
Remus rolls his eyes at the accusation. “I seriously doubt it, Severus. It looks to me as though it’s merely a parchment designed to insult anyone who tries to read it.” His chuckle echoes. “I suspect it’s a Zonko product. Nevertheless,” he moves his hands away when Snape attempts to retrieve the parchment. “I should investigate any hidden qualities it may possess. “‘Tis after all, as you say, my area of expertise.”
As Remus goes to have Harry follow him out, they are interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching, causing all three of them to freeze. Severus points his wand out, light emitting into the darkness. They follow the light as he points it in the opposite direction, where they see nothing. Then, as they turn back to the original direction they were facing, the three men stagger back when they’re greeted with the sight of a woman standing directly in front of them.
She was dressed in all black. Beneath her long trench coat, she wore a turtleneck, gloves, and heeled boots. Striking facial features. So youthful; skin clear and smooth like fine China, a jawline and cheekbones that could cut through wood and eyes void of color. They were a bright gray, nearly white. And the moment she spoke Harry noticed how white her teeth were. Reflecting against the light from Snape’s wand.
“Gentlemen.” Her voice was feathery. Almost a whisper with a slight echo. Unlike anything Harry ever heard. She sounded far away despite being so close.
Harry saw the way the men reacted to the arrival of their guest. Relaxed, but somewhat uneasy. Remus’s head slightly tipped down, “ Y/n.” Harry’s face contorted to shock, despite assuming the moment he saw the woman that it was Y/n. But what made the boy think otherwise was how young she appeared. As though she were a student and not faculty. Physically looking like she belonged with the seventh years. “Apologies for disturbing you this evening.”
Y/n’s expression was stoic, “Your apology should be directed to those hanging on the wall trying to sleep. Something you all should be doing as well.” Eyes flickered over to Snape, then to Harry, causing the boy to tense under her gaze. It lingered on him for a moment before returning to Remus, “It is not safe to be out at this hour.”
“Agreed,” Snape drawled, glaring at Lupin slightly. “We were all just leaving. Isn’t that right, Lupin?”
“Yes,” the DADA professor cleared his throat. “That’s right. I was actually going to request Harry’s company back to my office to answer a few questions regarding this item he came into possession of,” he waved the map in his hands. Casting a knowing look to Y/n, who merely raised a brow at the parchment. Then her lips curled up while lifting her hand.
“Might I?”
At first he was hesitant, but then Remus slowly lowered the parchment into her palm, her delicate fingers taking grasp before analyzing the piece up close. “Well, well,” she hummed, a glint in her eyes. “What a peculiar thing. With a sense of humor.” She ignored the annoyed reaction from Snape, making Harry hold back a snicker.
“Yes,” Remus murmurs with a small smile, but it’s filled with emotion as he looks down at her. When she met his eyes, the man straightened, clearing his throat. “Again, our apologies for the disturbance.”
Y/n hands the map back, nodding sharply, “Quite alright. At least it was you all responsible for the noise.” She smirks, “I’d hate to report the Weasley twins again for the third time this week.” Remus chuckles and Harry smiles while Snape just rolls his eyes.
“Been having your hands full, I take it?”
A scoff escapes her, “Like you wouldn’t believe. These students are more rebellious than I imagined. Though I have to give it to them. They’ve become rather creative in their ways of sneaking out after curfew.”
Remus tilts his head, “More so than how we were,” he whispers so Harry doesn’t catch it, but knowing she would. Her nod confirms so, and Remus shakes his head with a chuckle. “Well I can only assume Filch is pleased to have the nights off now.”
“Oh, he makes it well known when we trade off at dusk.” They share another laugh, but she cuts it off when she spots Harry watching them with curious eyes. “I’ll leave you gentlemen to it then.” Her eyes traveled to Harry, making his breath catch as they lingered on him. Pinning him to his spot as he caught the way they softened. “It’s a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance, Harry Potter.”
The boy stuttered out a response, “It--it’s nice to meet you too, Miss. L/n.”
“Please, call me Y/n.” She approaches him, stopping short and before anyone could react, she was lifting a gloved hand to his face. Gently brushing a finger over his cheek, causing Harry’s heart to skip a beat. Even with gloves on, her touch was chilling.
Behind her Harry saw the professors stiffen, meekly sharing a glance. Then Y/n’s voice echoed once more against the silent, almost a kiss of a whisper. “My, don’t you look like your father.” Harry swallowed, processing her words which were nothing but a shock to him that the woman knew his father. Then again as she, with a pained tone, added, “But those eyes… those eyes are all Lily .”
Harry wanted to know more about Y/n after that night. About her relationship with his parents. How she knew Lupin. And Snape when she appeared no older than Percy Weasley. Why was she confined to patrol the halls of Hogwarts at night and could not join them during the day. He tried asking Lupin questions when they got to his office but the man was reluctant to answer.
Harry had told Hermione and Ron of his interaction with the woman the next day. Igniting surprise in friends as well as curiosity. Hermione particularly found Y/n’s predicament quite questionable. And all the more suspicious when Harry mentioned her youthful appearance.
“I’m telling you she knew my parents,” He said, placing the goblet on the table. Glancing up he was met with her penetrating stare, brows furrowed.
“That’s impossible, Harry,” she leaned over after checking to see if anyone was listening. “If what you’re saying is true, she’d have to be the same age as Lupin--in her thirties. The only other thing I can think of is she was a child whose parents were friends with yours. Are you sure it wasn’t just your eyes playing tricks on you?”
He shook his head, crossing his arms over the table as he thought back to the night’s events. “No. The way she and Lupin interacted…it was friendly, but tense at the same time. Same with Snape--like they were old acquaintances.” He sighs, scratching the back of his neck. “Whatever, you’re probably right. She must’ve graduated the year before we came here--that would make sense why Snape knew her too.”
Hermione felt like something was still off, “but…you said she didn’t look older than Percy.”
“So?” Ron cuts in.
“So,” Hermione repeats with an edge to her voice, “It doesn’t make sense for her to be the same age as Percy, but graduated three years ago and knew Harry’s parents the way he’s implying she did.”
“Then she might be twenty or something,” Ron swallows a mouthful of food. At their expressions he lifts his hands with a shrug, “Look all I’m saying is some people age differently. There’ve been times where I can’t tell if someone is eighteen or twenty-five.”
Hermione slumped in her seat, no longer feeling the energy to argue. Ron did have a point, but her intuition was screaming at her there was more to the story. She’d have to do some digging.
The Golden trio discovered many revelations the night Sirius Black came to Hogwarts. After Sirius dragged Ron into the Shrieking Shack, where Hermione and Harry followed them too, they were stunned to their core upon the arrival of Remus and Y/n. Hermione nauseated at being in the same room as Y/n once more. Having met her the night after Harry when she snuck out of the dorms to the library. It led her to investigate the years Harry’s parents were at Hogwarts, at the same time Snape assigned an essay on werewolves . Resulting in Hermione to uncover two shocking discoveries.
And seeing the two with Sirius brought an overwhelming fear to consume her.
“No!” She shouted, still blocking Harry from the three. “I trusted you! He’s a werewolf!” She points to him, glancing over her shoulder to her friends. “That’s why he’s been missing classes.” She gulps, moving her gaze to the woman beside Lupin. Her voice went lower, “And she….she’s a vampire .” The boys’ stomach plummeted, shudders running up their spines as their mouths went agape.
Lupin was a werewolf. And Y/n was a vampire.
Lupin creeps closer, removing his hand from Sirius shoulder while Y/n stays put. “How long have you known?”
“Since Professor Snape sent the essay,” she pauses again, a cold chill upon her by the way Y/n was staring at her. Intimidating her with those blank eyes. “And when I found the yearbook from when you were all at school. She’s looked the same for fifteen years!” Hermione took a step back as Y/n moved beside Lupin. “Minus the eyes. It’s why she only walks the castle at night. And why Dumbledore’s been having blood from blood banks donated to madam Pomprey.”
The adults are impressed, Y/n holding back a laugh as she mutters, “Clever girl.”
Remus smirks, “Well, well, well Hermione, you really are the brightest witch of your age I’ve ever met.” From behind, Sirius loses his patience.
“Enough talk, Remus, c’mon. Let’s kill him!”
“Wait--!”
“I did my waiting!” The words echo off the walls, bursting out of Sirius's chest like an explosion. “Twelve years of it! In Azkaban!”
The night had been full of so much chaos. Not only was their professor a werewolf and nightguard a vampire, but Peter Pettigrew was alive and Sirius was innocent. Then Sirius revealed to Harry once they left the Shack that Y/n had actually been named Harry’s Godmother. Filling in the blanks Harry conjured as he tried to piece together the relationship she had with his parents.
Sirius didn’t want to talk about the night she turned, but informed Harry that she’d left England by order of the Ministry. They put her on their record of living vampires and told her she’d have to request permission to return each time she wanted to visit. Sentencing her to a nomadic life across the globe. The one time she did come home was shortly after Harry’s birth when Lily managed to track her down. Three years after becoming a vampire, her self-control had improved.
Their conversation was interrupted when the group had the horrifying realization it was the night of a full moon. Lighting up the sky as it broke through the clouds. Casting down its curse on the man bound to it.
Harry will never forget the image of watching Remus in full transformation going toe-to-toe with Y/n’s true form. The black veins under her bloodshot, blackened eyes. The gray disappeared from the dilation of her pupils. Fangs protruding from her gums, jaw practically dislocated and hissing like a wild animal out for the blood she craved. The two ripping at each other’s flesh, their strength inhuman. Y/n obviously holding back to not kill Remus by accident, who was fighting her with the intent to kill given his mind was lost to the moon. If either of them bit the other it would end in tragedy.
And while at the time Y/n had 15 years of self-control under her belt, there was always the risk she could lose it.
Even Snape was terrified. Seeing the creature in replace of the girl who saved his life all those years prior. A painful reminder of what could have been his reality. In the years following the incident Snape felt guilt and remorse for Y/n--who’d been the only one in James Potter’s friend group to show him kindness. Often scolding the others for their behavior. She was close to Lily and even sat with her and Snape in class or the Great Hall.
After the clouds cleared and the sun replaced the moon, Harry found himself in Remus’s office, alongside Y/n. It was the first time she’d been out in the daylight, though her body was covered head-to-toe, and sunglasses masked her eyes. Staying along the walls where the shadows seek shelter from the sun.
“What happened?” Harry asked her when Remus left the room, but not before giving Y/n a friendly hug with the promise to write to her. She would be returning to Hogwarts, continuing her position as night guard. The Golden trio added to the small list of people aware of her condition. “How did you…” he bit his lip, unsure of the right words. “Become what you are?”
If she was bothered by the question, she was good at hiding it. Face never wavering from its expression. “It’s not a pleasant story to the ears, Harry. And I don’t,” she gave a sad smile. “I don’t want to ruin the image you have of your Godfather and Dumbledore--and even Remus.” That had him confused.
Why would it ruin his image of them? Especially Dumbledore?
“You’re my Godmother,” Harry defended, still reeling in the happiness of knowing he had some family besides his abusive aunt and uncle. People who cared for him. “I want us to not have secrets with each other. I want to understand you--and know how to help you.”
Y/n chuckled, bringing a cold hand to push some hair from Harry’s face that fell between his eyes. Gently stroking the scar on his forehead as she did so. “I’d expect nothing less from a Gryffindor. You were very brave last night. Saving Sirius and coming between Remus and I.” He flushed, rosy cheeks painting his face. Y/n sighed, removing her glasses so Harry could see her gray eyes. “What I’m going to tell you is not a story for the faint of heart, Harry. Remus, Sirius, Snape, your father….” her sharp inhale lingered a moment. “Life did not treat us well. And we’re still dealing with the consequences.”
By the end of the tragic story, Harry was at a loss for words. Disbelieved by the truth of Y/n’s origins of becoming a vampire. Initially he thought the group had stumbled upon a rogue one and it targeted her. No, it was deeper and more personal.
Sirius tried pranking Snape during a full moon. Snape took the bait. His father and Y/n went to save Snape from being killed and Remus attacked her. Leaving her half-dead by the time they reached the infirmary. And Dumbledore made the life-changing decision to transform her into a vampire rather than let her die.
Sentencing her to a life of eternity, feeding off the blood of humans and to watch her loved ones die while she remained. The same face of an eighteen-year-old girl walking the Earth forever.
Harry’s heart shattered.
“What now?” came the question minutes later. Wondering how Y/n managed to stay at Hogwarts, working for the man she clearly loathed by the way she talked about him. Still angry by his decision. “Why are you staying when Sirius is free? Don’t you want to get away from here?”
‘Away from the painful memories?’ He wanted to add.
All he got was a shrug and a small smile. “And leave you?” His chest burst with emotion. A statement so simple, but worth a thousand words. “You’re my Godson are you not? Other forces are a threat to you, Harry. And I will not let your parents down.”
And she didn’t.
Four years later after that fateful night and here the two were sitting on the edge of the half-destroyed Astronomy tower. Overlooking the river while a lone Phoenix flew across the sky. Embarking on the silence, honoring their loved ones.
Unsure of what future laid ahead of them, but one thing was for sure. Life may not have treated them well, but the best they could do was move forward. Not let the deaths be for nothing. Make sure the peace withstood to prevent another war.
The history books would go on to write about the Boy Who Lived and his Godmother, the Lone Vampire. Her name and face, however, are hidden from the public eye. And as the decades pass more and more of her friends join the souls lost in the castle. Leaving only those lucky enough to cross paths to have a glimpse in their memory.
For she would forever be a mystery, with the moon and stars as her companion.

Harry was excited when he was told that he received mail from his aunt Yankee. He’s been corresponding mail to all three, Sirius, Remus and you after having dinner. Harry wrote to you the most since he felt like he had more of a connection with you. You had suffered the same way as he did, in school and at home. He read of the stories you have written to him about how you dealt with bullies when you were at school. Most of it involved your fists since you were new to magic but as you kept learning, you used spells to get back.
Opening the letter, he was smiling when he read the invitation to Remus’ surprise birthday party that you were throwing for him. You had written to Harry to bring his friends if they wished to come and celebrate. Ron was so excited when Harry told him that he screamed about it in the great hall.
“Oi Harry! It’s Professor Lupin’s birthday soon?” Fred asked Harry as his brother George came behind him. Even though Remus stopped working at Hogwarts, the students kept calling Remus, Professor Lupin.
The name of Professor Lupin gathered the attention of many other students who quickly walked towards the Gryffindor's table. Many were asking Harry, they all wanted to know about their favorite teacher who left. They all missed him and his fun teaching. You received a letter soon from Harry telling you the amount of people wanting to come. You smiled to yourself as you read the letter in secret, away from Remus. Tearing up at the kind words the students were saying about Remus and how they wanted to see their favorite teacher on his birthday. Calling Sirius, you knew you had your work cut out for you.
March 10th, came and you woke Remus up with your body under the covers and your head between his legs. Remus moans with a hand on your head as you swallow his cock whole. He was about to cum when the door of the bedroom opened and you shouted in surprise when Sirius came running into the room, jumping onto the bed.
“PADFOOT!” Remus shouts as he covers his privates behind his pillow. You are on your knees with the blanket over you and your hand over your mouth to muffled your laughter.
“Happy Birthday Moony!” Sirius said kissing Remus’ cheek as a large tray of food came floating into the bedroom.
“Thanks, Padfoot.” Remus said as you took the tray and set it in front of him. Remus gives you a look and you wink at him. Sirius had made a large amount of chocolate chip pancakes with eggs and thick slices of bacon and toast. A variety of jam and jelly laid out around the tray for the slices of toast. Tea was already served in cups, steaming hot and Sirius had even made hot chocolate for Remus.
Remus brings a slice of toast with jelly to Padfoot’s mouth and some pancakes to your mouth. The three of you talked and ate in bed.
Remus told you he didn’t want anything done for his birthday as he got dressed for the day. You were sitting on edge of the bed, nodding as you looked down at your nails. He always said this every year. He didn’t want anything big, a simple dinner was sufficient for him but you wanted to do more since you came back for good. Sirius had come up with the idea to tell Remus there was a new bookstore a few miles away. Remus comes out of the bathroom and you look up to see him nicely dressed with some clothes that Sirius had gifted him. Dark pants and a white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up and the top button of his shirt were undone showing a bit of his chest. His hair was damp and he combed it to the side.
“I might have to finish what I started this morning?” You say as you push yourself up from the bed and walk towards him. Remus blushes as you eye him, up and down. He wraps an arm around your shoulder kissing you sweetly.
You hugged him before patting his back and walking him to the door, ignoring Remus’ shock reaction. As much you wanted to suck his cock, you had a party to get ready.
“I thought-.” You shake your head. “Tonight! I need to start preparing for dinner.”
It was Remus’ turn to shake his head. "You just got back, please rest. We can order something when I come back." Your heart wants to explode from how kind and thoughtful your husband is.
“Enjoy the bookstore, baby.” You go on your tippy toes to kiss him one more time. Sirius calls out for him downstairs and he kisses your forehead then walks down the stairs to leave with Sirius. The moment you heard the door close, you ran downstairs to grab the bags of decorations hidden in the closet near the kitchen.
The floo in the living room was heard and you heard footsteps. “Aunt Yankee?”
You smiled at Harry’s voice and you walked to the living room. You were surprised by the amount of children in the living room. Harry said there were people coming but you didn’t know they were coming all at the same time.
“We thought you might want some help.” Hermione said with a smile when she noticed your shocked reaction.
“Guys, this is my aunt.” Harry introduced the other students to you, proudly. You greeted them and they were quick to ask you what needs to be done. Hermione and a group of younger kids were making dessert and little treats while Fred and George hung up decorations on the wall.
The younger kids that came with Harry were surprised when you started to use magic without your wand. Hermione just stared at you when you helped her with the cake. When you needed a spatula that was hung up across the room without a word, or a glance at the object. You brought your hand out in the spatula just flew towards your hand.
“How did…”Hermione was told about you by Harry. She was very intrigued and curious about you. Harry said your magic was strong, she wanted to know how since you were muggle born and it gave her confidence that one day she can be strong as well.
“You okay, dear?” You asked her looking up from the chocolate batter. Hermione nods and tells you she hopes Professor Lupin likes the cake.
The clock strikes three on the dot as you place the chocolate cake in the middle of the table. You took a look around and was happy with how everything looked. The food was done cooking, the chips and treats you got from the states were laid out. The children were looking at the food, wanting to try the food you brought over.
You heard laughter from outside and knew that was the sign.
“Quick quick!” You told the children as you hit the light off and hid behind the couch while the others hid behind the table and chairs.
“You honestly found that funny, padfoot?” You heard your husband ask as the door opened.
“Why is your hair-?” Remus was cut off when he walked into the living room and the lights came on.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!”
Remus froze when he saw the children, Harry and you jump up. He looks over and sees the decoration around the living room. He pats on the younger students’ shoulders who ran up to him wishing him a good day and a happy birthday.
“Uncle Moony!” Harry calls out and hugs him. Remus hugs him back then looks at you with tears in his eyes. Harry had remembered what you told him when you dropped him off at school.
“You shouldn’t have.” Remus said after thanking Ron and Hermione when they wished him a good birthday.
“I know but I wanted to. It’s your birthday, a day to celebrate you.” Remus kisses you gently before one of the kids asks who’s that man by the food table.
Sirius looks over his shoulder with a plate of sandwiches and cookies. His dark curls were now a strawberry blonde color and wore a pair of thin metal glasses. Hermione and Ron giggle because they knew it was Sirius.
Sirius wanted to wear a disguise to not scare the younger students because of his wanted posters that were everywhere. He didn’t mind it, that’s what he told you. You were the one to tell him that he would look good with blonde hair too. Harry and Sirius were talking amongst themselves soon after Sirius said he was cousins with Remus. Light music was playing in the background and everyone enjoyed the treats from America and were asking Remus how they met you. Remus and you spoke together, both of you not noticing the older students looking.
“Do they always look at each other like that?” Ginny asked Harry and Ron. George and Fred stood behind Hermione as they looked at Remus laughing at something you said. His eyes shined so brightly that everyone could see how much Remus loves you.
“Yeah.” Harry answered with a smile as you looked up at Remus with a grin.
Remus wanted to cry when Sirius made him sit on the head of the table as everyone surrounded him was singing happy birthday. Remus looks up at you as you place your hands on his shoulders behind him. You kissed his cheek as the chocolate cake came floating right in front of him. It sat on the table and Remus blew the candles when you told him to make a wish.
Remus looks around for a moment and his heart feels like it might burst out of his chest. He grabs your hand and kisses your hand before you ask one of the children to pass you the plates.
He thanked the students one by one as he stood next to the floo. Each of them said how much they missed him and hoped he would come back to teach. Harry was the last to leave, he hugged Sirius and you goodbye. He walks to Remus who was waiting by the floo for him.
“Thank you for coming, Harry.” Remus said, placing a hand on his shoulder. Remus was surprised when Harry gave him another hug, he took it. He wraps his arm around him and leans down to place his chin on top of Harry’s head. It meant everything to Remus. Like you told Harry before, Remus and you thought of Harry as their own. Remus watches as Harry leaves and he turns around with a small smile.
Sirius, who had too many sweets, was experiencing a sugar rush but it soon came down making him crash. He was sleeping on the couch with chocolate frosting on his beard. Remus wiped off the frosting for him, his hair was now back to normal. Laying out a blanket on top of him, he makes his way to the kitchen. The broom is moving itself as well as the dishes were being washed with magic. You were humming to yourself as you covered the uneaten food and placed it in the fridge.
He’s about to say something when Kreacher pops in the middle of the kitchen. Kreacher just glared at you for a moment, Sirius had told him it was Remus’ birthday party and the elf had deemed it to be a disrespect to the Black family for celebrating a half blood birthday in the house.
“Still not talking to me?” You asked Kreacher as you grabbed a paper plate from the counter and walked towards the elf. Kreacher refused to speak to you, you didn’t mind that he thought you were scum of the Earth.
“Saved you a piece of cake.” You placed the plate on the corner of the table near Kreacher. He looks away from it and crosses his boney arms over his chest.
You catch Remus’ looking at you. You bid a good night to Kreacher as you walked to Remus. About to follow you up the stairs to the bedroom, Remus cast one last glance into the kitchen and saw Kreacher sitting on the table with a spoon in his hand. The elf made a soft hum as he ate the cake. Remus smiles and makes his way into the bedroom.
Remus walks into the bedroom and comes to a halt at the doorway when he sees you sitting on the bed with your back against the headboard. You’re wearing lingerie, a scarlet and golden color. It fits your body just right. The cups on the bra are sheer gold lace. You had the idea to wear his house color for him. Remus licks his bottom lip at the sight of you. He knew Salazar Slytherin would be rolling over in his grave if he knew, one of his graduated students of House Slytherin was wearing Gryffindor's colors.
“Are you ready for your gift, birthday boy?” You ask him. Remus nods as he walks inside. The door shuts behind him and the sound of your giggling is heard.

That Dang Snake
Pairing: Hermione Granger
Summary: Hermione starts to get the attention of an unlikely Slytherin girl
Word Count: ~1k
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6
Tumblr media
(Not my GIF)
Hermione walks into the Gryffindor common room smiling thinking about the encounter she had with Y/N. Ginny is sitting on the couch and sees Hermione walking past.
“What got are you smiling so hard Hermione ?” Ginny says putting down her book and wiggling her eyebrows.
“Did my brother finally ask you out on a date?” Ginny says a little excited. Hermione looks around to see if anyone is around, and there is no one around. Hermione takes a seat next to Ginny.
“No, Ron did not ask me out. You know Ron and I aren’t anything” Hermione says.
“I know but that boy is so in love with you and I thought you were feeling him a little too,” Ginny says shrugging her shoulders.
“I don’t know what is going on with Ron and me, but something crazy happened in the library today,” Hermione says and Ginny sits up straight wondering what news Hermione has to give.
“I would have never thought that someone would use crazy and library in the same sentence,” Ginny says and they both laugh.
“Anyways, I was in the library trying to study to stay ahead and Malfoy’s gang was in there making too much noise. I told them to quiet and  Malfoy called me a mudblood,” Hermione says and Ginny gets mad.
“I swear I am going to find him and punch him in the face like you did last year,” Ginny says balling up her fist and Hermione puts her hands on Ginny’s.
“Calm down, the surprising thing is that Y/N stepped in and stop him from going any further. She even made them leave the library since they were making so much noise” Hermione says and Ginny looks in shock.
“You are telling me that Y/N Y/L/N stop them from picking on you. The same girl that never stops them from picking on you, my brother, and Harry. I am shocked. I know everyone says she is nice and all, but she never did anything like that before. What made her do it this time?” Ginny questioned.
“So we talked a little bit afterward and she said that she was trying to get on my good side,” Hermione says and Ginnys screams excitedly
“Oh my gosh, she is trying to get with you. You know I heard that she is great in bed” Ginny says and Hermione shushes Ginny.
“Don’t be so loud about it. I don’t want the whole house to know” Hermione says quieting Ginny.
“I get it, but it still is strange. Normally she goes after girls who are…..” Ginny stops herself before she says anything bad.
“What are you trying to say, Ginny?” Hermione says looking at Ginny to continue her sentence and Ginny sighs.
“Y/N goes after the really pretty girls who are easy and you aren’t that girl,” Ginny says defeated.
“I know that type of girl that Y/N goes for and I didn’t say I was even going to go after her. I don’t even know if I like girls” Hermione says.
“Yeah I understand that, but you have to admit that Y/N is so hot thought” Ginny laughs and Hermione joins.
“So how do you really feel about Y/N?” Ginny questions.
“I mean she is a pure-blood Slytherin who is arrogant and cocky, but she has the right to because she is so good at what she does. She hangs out with Malfoy and his gang so her choice of friends is bad and never defends us when Malfoy picks on us. The thing is she is so nice to everyone else though. She is smart and athletic with a great body…… gosh do I have a crush on Y/N?” Hermione says and Ginny starts to laugh again.
“It’s okay you, me, and the rest of the school are all in the same boat,” Ginny says and Hermione looks surprised.
“You are into girls? I thought you had a crush on Harry” Hermione says.
“I do have a crush on Harry but he is too dense to see that now. I have to have my opinions open. I do find girls attractive too. I mean look at Y/N, she is so fine. She is even finer when she plays” Ginny says and they both start to laugh.
Then Ron and Harry enter the common room and sit down with the girls. Harry sits next to Ginny and Ron sits next to Hermione. Ron awkwardly puts his arm around Hermione. Hermione and Ginny are just staring at each other when this happens.
“So what are you ladies laughing at,” Ron asks.
“Nothing Ron, just some girl stuff you wouldn’t understand,” Ginny says.
“Actually we were wondering if you guys were going to the Slytherin/Hufflepuff match tomorrow?” Hermione questions and everyone looks at her strangely even Ginny.
“You want to go to a quidditch game that isn’t our house?” Harry questions.
“Yeah, I am trying to get more into quidditch since both of my boys are playing this year. I want to be able to support you guys and that means going to more games” Hermione says trying to cover up the true reasons why she is going, to see Y/N.
“Well yeah, we are going to the game. We are scouting out Slytherin so we can make sure that we are going to crush them this year” Harry says then Ron and Harry give each other high fives.
“Yeah, we can all go together! It can be a date right Hermione?” Ron asks Hermione and Hermione freezes for a second. She doesn’t know how to respond because she has always been unsure about her feeling toward Ron. She never knew if the feelings were there because they spent so much time together and the platonic feelings are getting mixed up with romantic feelings. Now they are even more confused with the whole Y/N situation now.
“S-sure” Hermione stutters out unsure about her answer. Ginny and even Harry felt that it was being forced out.
“Perfect, I can’t wait,” Ron says and Hermione moves Ron’s arm from around her.

Guys James and Reggie are married and yes they are Harry’s dads. But, hear me out. Mary and Lily are also Harry’s mums and he would rather go and ask his mums about how to get Ginny because WHAT DOES JEGULUS KNOW ABT GETTING GIRLS?
Side note: I really like the idea that Harry had to stay with the Dursleys for whatever reason (for the first few years of his life). I think it helps me to keep Harry’s canon defence mechanisms and personality.
Ps. I also really love golden trio meeting on the train. Idk its just so cute. Idl the idea that Harry was childhood friends with Ron cause it kind of takes away from the generosity he showed Ron on the train. Idk

*Blaise flirting with Ron and Ron just thinking it is what Blaise does*
Harry has not noticed that Cedric has been flirting with him for the past 2 years: Merlin, when will Ron notice that Blaise flirts with him in wanting to get a point across. Like he does it completely differently than his normal interactions. Ron is just so oblivous right Hermoine?
Hermoine who has noticed both of her friends but doesn't have the right to say anything because she has not seen Luna for the past 4 years: Yeah right Harry, he is obvious.

Overprotective Ron and Hermoine
Thinking of Ron and Hermoine being so overprotective over Harry after the war. No one even dares to crowd around Harry, not when the two other part of the golden trio started brandishing their wands around as if they were knives that they could just use to stab someone.
(They could, and they would. No one really dared to know because they've seen the two fight in the war; Harry has morals stopping him from doing things, but the two? They seemed to lost it after watching their Harry trying to fight to live and to save their world.)
Once, someone tried ambusing Harry to talk to him (when others say that he was so protected, it was not a lie). It was someone (coughFudgecough) who wants Harry to support him in his political agenda. Unfortunately, when the emerald-eyed boy denied the man, he started shouting at him and even dared to cast a spell towards his direction.
Very furious about what the man tried to do, both Ron and Hermoine started casting every (legal and borderline illegal) curses and spells that they could think of. A few of the witnesses even swore that they saw Hermoine cast a crucio towards the foolish man, but they aren't really willing to do so in court.
(They believe that the man coughFudgecough deserves it.)

Ready to return to the life she once had, ready to once again be a traitor. authors note: hi, hi! thank you for reading :)

"Explain, then." Sirius stared her down, wand now tucked away in his leather jacked. He pushed his dark hair from his eyes with a quick motion. Just a moment later Hecate felt the urge to do the same.
She placed the cup full of firewhiskey down on the table in front of her and took a breath. "Explain what?" He squinted his eyes at her, as if to ask her to throw and insult in his direction. To give him a reason.
"Your sister one of'em too-"She's dead" her voice cut him off.
The room stilled, even Moody's mad eye stopped moving for a moment. "The Dark Lord killed her after i freed the Longbottoms." Her eyes wandered to Sirius' again. His face had softened, even if just a tiny bit.
Her hand fumbled inside her dress pants for the pack of cigarettes she had tucked inside just before she came here. With the flick of her wand she had lit the stick and filled her lungs with the smoke.
"I didn't know that her mission was to kill them." Hecate pauses, taking a generous sip from her cup. "He was already in a pissy mood and decided that someone had to pay the price." She took a drag of her cigarette before she wiped a tear off her cheek. "I was never fond of the whole Death Eater thing. I did it for her."
She stomped her cigarette just as the mark on her forearm began to burn. She sighed and stood, downing the last of her firewhiskey. "He's calling." Albus was quick to pat her on the shoulder. "Go, don't let him wait." Hecate was quick to apperate, but just for a moment it seemed as that the resentful look on Sirius' face had vanished, just for a moment.
She must've imagined it. She was sure of it.

Harry was curious. How could he not be. There was once a woman, a woman who was his godmother and as he believed, someone Sirius had cared about. He wanted to know more about her. Why did no one speak of her? Who was Hecate?
"MUDBLOODS, FILTHY MUDBLOODS IN MY HOUSE!" The dark portrait of Sirius' mother shrieked as he walked past it. "OH, SHUT IT YOU OLD HAG!" Sirius yelled right back as he walked past the bottom of the stairs. He wanted to ask Sirius about his godmother but as he thought back at his reaction this morning, he hesitated and decided against it. He didn't want him to break another thing in this house. Though it wouldn't be a great loss.
He decided to ask Remus instead, he seemed more collected than Sirius. Harry made his way down the hallway to Remus' room, with a soft knock to the door he waited for the man in question to open it. "Oh, Harry." He spoke. "Did you need something?" Harry nodded and stepped inside Remus' room after he opened the door further.
"Yes, it's about..about-"Hecate, right?" Remus sat down on his bed as he waved his hand towards the tiny chair opposite the bed. Harry was quick to seat himself and nodded. "Yes." Lupin heaved a sigh before he closed the book which had laid open on his bed. "I understand." He gave Harry a sad smile before continuing.
"Sirius didn't mean it." He tried, fumbling with his fingers in his lap. Harry watched him intensely. "You see, Hecate and Sirius were deeply in love." He paused. "She was a member of the Order and gave her life to protect us." He sighed and finally looked at Harry. "It's a sensitive matter for him. Somehow-" he paused to clear his throat, tears on the brim of his waterline visible. "Somehow it broke us all when she died, i think she took a part of him with her that night."
Harry gulped and everted his gaze to the dark rug on the floor. "He'll tell you eventually, there're so many great stories of her, greater than her death." He shook his head as a tear escaped his eyes and he sniffed. "We all cared for her a lot, she was a dear friend." Harry nodded. "I understand." He stood and stalked toward the door, he halted to look back at Remus. "Thank you for telling me."
Moony waved him off. "No need, she was your godmother after all."
Harry could see it. See it in the way Remus spoke of her. See the love and the pain. Hecate must've been a big part of them. She must've been a great woman.

Her black coat swooshed behind her as she almost sprinted, her slender legs carried her as fast as possible down the corridors of the big old castle. Hogwarts was empty, apart from some students she didn't know. She hadn't seen any teachers yet, to her relief.
Albus had asked her to visit him, the time had come, he had said. Fourteen years ago she had gone into hiding. Of course she knew, she knew that two of her most loved friends had died, left a boy behind. She had held Harry, fed him when he was hungry and cared for him like he was her own. She even agreed to be his godmother.

"We want you to be his godmother, Cat."
Lily spoke as he watched Hecate hold their son. Sirius loved the nickname they've given her. Cat felt like it fit. She was strangely similar to a feline, the way she loved them dearly even though she'd never say it out loud.
He couldn't help but put his hand on her shoulder, a wide smile on his lips.
Godric, how he loved this woman.
"Godmother?" She spoke, barely a whisper. He watched as Cat raised her hand to the boys cheek and quickly engulfed the baby in a hug, his little hands grasping away at her hair. She didn't care as she wiped a stray tear away.
"I'd love to."
Merlin, he'd fall to his knees right now and beg to see her smile like that every day of his life.

He stared at the ceiling, muggle bands like queen and the scorpions staring back at him. He had hung them up there in hopes of angering his parents. The frame of them clasped tightly in his hands as another sob left his mouth. He lifted the frame and stared at it again, with a finger of his he traced her face.
He would give everything in the world to feel her smooth warm skin under his lips once again.
To see her pitch black hair shimmer under the evening sun.
To hold her in his arms once again.
To tell her how much he loved her.
To stay by her side when the mark stung that night.
To not let her push them towards the portal key.
To wipe her tears as she smiled at him like she knew it would be the last time.
To not let her die.

Theodore Nott x reader
Catagory: Angst, fluff
Warnings: Mentions of wounds and blood. Booth of them are complete dumbasses. Reader is a tiny bit sensitive, but rightfully so.
Summary: Theodore is lonelier than ever, especially after receiving the dark mark. So he tries to find peace in new things. Like Choirs.
Words: 7.2 k
OBS! I gave reader a last name. Oak, but her first name is still your own but just so everyone knows
A/N: Uh, it's long. I don't know if I love it or hate it, but I'm also really tired so I don't have the energy to think. But also, what writers like what they write? So here you go.
Tumblr media
(I'm not religious, but god seriously has his favorites)

His room couldn't contain the warmth that it used to hold during the summer. The fire from his fireplace couldn't keep up with the autumn's chill breezes and cold rains. The heat easily simmered out through the cracks of the old windows, leaving Theodore with stale fingers and cold toes.
On a normal day, he might've complained. When he was younger, he used to despise the cold, always missing the summer rays during the quiet winter. But now? He wasn't sure that he disliked it anymore. The chill air became the only thing that understood the echoing emptiness in his chest.
"I'm joining the Choir." He said absentmindedly. A quick decision he took during the dark hours layered itself with pity and sadness.
"That's rash. I thought you hated Choirs." Blaise mumbled from his seat on the carpeted floor.
Theodore shifted in his soft duvets." I don't hate them, I just don't understand the point of it."
Blaze's face scrunched in confusion and he looked away from his book to watch the other young man mindlessly play with the corners of his sheets." Then why are you joining one?"
Theodore only sighed. He didn't intend to answer Blaise. He wouldn't understand. Blaise had yet to receive the itching curse on his wrist and therefore hadn't been tied to bad things for the rest of his life. Or perhaps, Theodore had become selfish during the quiet days of his suffering.
"Well, I don't care if join or not, but maybe keep it quiet from Draco... and the others." Theodore hummed absentmindedly. If Malfoy would ever find out about Theodore joining something so 'muggly' as a choir, he would stuff Theo in a box and send him straight to the doorstep of Voldermort.
"I know."
Blaize looked at Theodore for any reaction but turned his attention to the book in his lap when Theo only continued to stare at the ceiling.
"Have you packed? We're leaving in two days." He easily rerouted the conversation.
--
The smell of food made Theodore sick to his stomach. Before he left, he hoped that his appetite would return when the warm food that the elves of Hogwarts made entered his nostrils, but his hopes were all in despair.
Classes had been going on for six days and focusing had already been proven to be a task.
Professor Flitwick stopped him in the corridor the earlier day to speak to him about the request for joining his 'Frog choir', as it was called. Professor Flitwick had thought that it was a mere prank. So Theodore stood in the corridor for 10 minutes explaining to the professor that he didn't pull a prank on him.
And now, he sat by the lunch table, idly waiting for the clock to tick to its designated hour. The choir lesson. He had been asked by Blaise at the beginning of the lunch if he were alright, and he had lied with a clump of nerves stuck in his throat.
He wished to believe his nerves only existed to tease him. But his nerves seemed to be right, for it seemed that wherever he went, eyes followed him. Whether it was Draco, who always appeared to be in the same room as Theodore. Or Professor Snape, that read over his shoulder whenever they had positions class.
Theodore shook his head, a small pain making its way into his head. He stood up, and curious glances was thrown his way.
"Why haven't you eaten? You always eat?" Lorenzo asked with his arms tied behind his head. Only for a second, Theodore stiffen.
"Must've eaten something bad yesterday." He barely mumbled before quietly gliding out of the grand Hall.
--
Her eyes shot up from her note page when the door slammed open. The murmur carried throughout the dark and dusty classroom came to halt, and (Name) eyed Theodore Nott suspiciously when he strode into the room. Professor Flitwick tapped his wand against the podium he stood by, effectively gaining everyone's attention again.
"Oh!" Professor Flitwick exclaimed when he saw the tall boy standing by the entrance. "I seem to have forgotten to inform you. This term, Mr. Nott here will join us."
She didn't feel good about a new person joining the choir. Especially not him. The boys from Slytherin had never been nice, and in her luck, she hadn't been the object of their harassment. Which is probably something that she should thank Harry Potter for. But didn't mean that she was entirely safe from their harassment.
If he decided she were to be his next target, it made sense. Not many people knew about her. The students didn't blink an eye when she walked by, and the teachers barely knew her name.
She never believed herself to be quiet or shy. But the lack of attention she received left her believing that she needed to be more interesting to speak to for them to enjoy her company. They thought she didn't want to go with them, so they excluded her from their plans.
It made her think, maybe being interesting didn't belong in her nature.
"Have you ever been in a choir before Mr. Nott?" The professor asked.
He timidly shook his head, and briefly wondered where his old, confident self went. "No Professor."
Professor Flitwick gave him a nod before taking a glance over his small class.
"Well then, grab your notes from the table, and then Miss Oak will help you."
Theodore looked around after this 'Miss Oak', and he believed the young lady looking at Professor Flitwick with eyes popping out of her skull would be the girl that the Professor inquired about.
The old paper felt scratchy in his hand when he grabbed the note-filled sheets, and his body heavily trudged to stand by Miss Oak. She didn't say anything, nor did she look at him when he placed himself beside her.
She tried to not pay attention to the boy on her side, but it became a problem since he radiated off his body heat by how close he stood. Perhaps, she should have offered him her help with the notes. But after a while, it seemed he figured it out and she relaxed at the thought of not needing to interact with him.
The lesson came to an end and she wasted no time packing her things so she could catch the Professor before he turned to the next class to teach.
The rest of the students filed out quickly, and to her luck, the professor didn't.
"Professor Flitwick?" She asked.
He turned around and smiled. "Yes dear, what can I help you with?" He answered, before once again turning back to collect the remaining papers.
"I was wondering if you maybe could have someone else help Mr. Nott with his notes." She stood tall and spoke calmly when the professor turned his full attention to the girl. But inside her, a turmoil of emotion rolled around, making her dizzy and anxious.
"Why is that?" She swallowed when his calculated gaze met hers and tried her best not to tear eye contact.
"Well, because I'm afraid that helping him might disturb the focus on my studies." A small humorous scoff sounded through the room, and Professor Flitwick continued to track down the classroom with (name) hot on his tail.
"I must say that I believe that you are wrong." He started, and (name)'s eyebrows scurried together." I think that you need to socialize yourself, to meet new people. Mr. Nott is a kind young man, who I think will get along great with you."
A sigh of descent escaped her, and she trudged out of the classroom in defeat, beginning the lonely track toward her next class. Which unfortunately for her would be divination.
--
Theodore is an utterly and completely helpless man. He'd met the girl once, one smell, one touch, and he dared never stop thinking about her. The realization had almost knocked him off his chair, for wherever he went, his brain lost control over his eyes and they began to wander, searching after the girl.
For the next Choir class, he made sure to be late again, only so that he could guarantee a second of attention from her. Flitwick had come to warn him about bad habits, but why care? Theodore didn't know. For her eyes flickered to his, and only for a second, the mark on his arm didn't burn his skin.
He slowly walked towards his self-chosen place by her side and didn't let his eyes leave her once. She radiated with caution and apprehension, but Theodore didn't incline to stop staring. At least not until she showed signs of being even mildly uncomfortable.
Her eyes scanned the notes of the Christmas Carol more than she could count as an attempt to not give in to his staring. Because even though she felt tempted to stare at his angel-like face, a fear still presented itself in the back of her mind.
She winced as the floorboards creaked at her nervous shuffle, and once again, felt herself becoming the attention of Theodore's eyes. He opened his mouth, and she made herself ready for anything that could leave his mouth.
"Oh, buggers. I seemed to have forgotten my papers." (Name) watched carefully when the professor rummages through his bag, hoping that his papers are there so he doesn't leave the classroom, risking that someone with dark hair and brown eyes will start a conversation with her.
But to her downfall, Professor Flitwick quickly announced that he would be back soon, and no one had the time to blink before he walked away.
She swallowed the anxious lump in her throat and took a breath through her nose.
"Nervous?" He asked, fully aware that she had been shuffling around and taking unnecessarily deep breaths ever since he situated himself on her side.
"No." She answered, too fast for her liking, before quickly focusing on her paper again.
Theodore wanted to sigh in disappointment when she wasn't up for a conversation, and at the same time felt a stream of pettiness run through his fingertips.
He clenched his pale fist in frustration and looked away. A gust of air passed his lips in a desperate attempt to not let his hopes sink. To be so obsessed with a person in such a so short time felt strange. So strange he started to suspect that a love potion had been involved. But the way she shut herself away from him, he supposed that it would be strange for her to pour a love potion into his drink.
Professor Flitwick's footsteps were loud before he came in sight, and Theodore cursed his chance when it faded into nothing.
But on the other hand, it could turn out to be for the best. He knew that the capability of making a fool out of himself lingered.
Professor seemed to have noticed the shift of emotions on Theodore's face.
"Are you alright, Mr. Nott, you seem to be a bit pale over there?" He wanted to laugh at the coincidence.
"I'm alright, Professor." He answered politely, gently clearing his throat as he tried to brush off the awkwardness of the professor's notice.
But oh to be held, he took notice of a small, inconvenient, soft laugh. His head snapped towards her when he heard who it came from, and she quickly covered it up with a cough and a small apology.
He scoffed quietly, and she pursed her lips as he looked away.
"Everyone ready?" Professor Flitwick asked, and a chorus of positive answers echoed in the hall. And with four flicks of his wand, the choir let their voices out. At first, Theodore believed that no one in this room had sung in a choir. The different voices jumbled together, but it seemed that after just a countable second, the different voices blended into an angel melody.
He could hear her voice perfectly, and he never wanted to have no one else singing in his ear, quite literally. And he let himself bask in the warmth of her tone until a crack reaches the surface. He cringe at the miss of a note in (Name)'s voice, and she did the same.
Theodore struggled to cover up the small chuckles that escaped his mouth, and he blushed in shame to be laughing at her. She didn't seem to mind or hear him. Her face bore a confused scowl, making a wrinkle appear between her eyebrows. Suddenly he felt himself wanting to reach out, to smooth the area out with his thumb. But it would've been ridiculous if he did, possibly ruining all his chances with her in the world.
The harmonious tune took an end, and a murmur broke out, asking each other for the right notes and laughing at each other's wrongs. Theodore listened in curiosity as she hummed the same part over and over again, still getting the same note wrong even though she tries.
"It's an f-sharp, not f." He instructed, and she paused. Patiently waiting for her answer, Theodore hummed the tune for her, showing the correct way. Before the tune ended, he looked towards her to make sure that she was listening, and met her eyes. Theodore felt his heart drum against his sensitive ribs when she watched him with idle eyes.
When it once again took to an end, Theodore masked his madness with raised eyebrows and a look in his eyes, that asked her if she understood.
The eye contact broke as she looked away.
"I knew that, I'd just forgotten." She explained, and the left corner of his mouth rose.
"Sure you did." Sarcasm dripped from his voice, and he feared he'd taken it too far, for he didn't know her limits, how much she would be able to take nor how sensitive she might be.
But his fear easily melted away when he saw the slightest twitch of her lips.
--
For the first time in a long time, she left the classroom with a content look on her face. The conversation that appeared, is something that she had missed happening. Like an old conversation with the rain.
And she almost wished that her next Choir lesson would be today so that she had someone to talk to again. But it was albeit a bit intimidating. She is afraid that if she spoke too much, or shares too many feelings, he would get bored of talking with her. And she wouldn't have a potential friend anymore.
She sighed at her overcalculating thoughts and decided that she would keep basking in his attention as long as it would last.
Until her Transfiguration class with professor McGonagall the next day. Usually, she was fully aware of where everyone was so she could sit alone and not risk getting a desk friend. As said, except for today. Maybe it was to blame on the bad night's sleep, but she hadn't given a second thought about where she sat down.
And once again, Theodore stormed into the class, ten minutes late. He didn't apologize for being late, instead, he took the closest empty seat he could find and sat down.
(Name) could feel the looks from the rest of the Slytherins when Theodore sat beside her and she straightened her spine and directed her eyes forwards again, not wanting to pay attention to them.
"Fashionably late, as usual, Mr. Nott?" McGonagall questioned, amusement in her tone, but stone-set face.
"Sorry, Professor." He mumbled, and McGonagall nodded, intending to start the lesson again.
Theodore could feel the burning gazes of his friends as he opened up his book. At first, he didn't intend to give the bloodsuckers their craved attention, because he knew what it would an about, and he was also well aware of who he was sitting next to.
But he could hear Blaise whispering his name, and he still didn't want to seem rude, so he turned in his chair, and was met by the eyes of his Slytherin classmates. Draco raised an eyebrow at him, before nodding his head towards (Name).
Theodore knew exactly what he enclined and shrugged. His friends didn't need to know everything, and he didn't need to be around them every minute of the day.
A warm feeling, but strange occupied her chest when Theodore turned back, a half smile on his pink lips and relaxed eyes looking upon her.
And she wanted to beat the butterflies in her stomach with a stick.
During the lesson, there were not many words exchanged between them, and at first, it was a maladroit pressure on (Name)s chest to say something or to make him, anything of the sort. But she realized quite soon that she didn't need to speak, for it was both comforting and nice to have him sitting beside her, carefree of what was around him as he wrote on his parchments.
She hoped and prayed to merlin that it would stay like this and that it wasn't just a fortunate stroke of serendipity.
--
Something changed with him. She could both see and feel it, and never had she doubted her senses when she felt as if something was wrong.
In their choir lesson, he acted differently against his usual sarcastic but nice persona, which would help her if she was wrong, or speak to her about professor Flitwick's ridiculous beard.
But today he acted strange, only chuckling at her when she did wrong, and when helping her, he sounded up stuck.
He was almost being competitive.
And it was onerous, and burdensome to have such an enthralling person seeing you as a competition. Especially when she was aware that he was more sharp-minded, wittier, and more ambitious than she could ever wish to be.
So therefore she tried to ignore it, playing it off as if had a bed day instead so that she could protect her feelings.
But it only continued and got worse too.
She was slouching in a chair, wand in hand as she tried the same spell over and over again, but the pair of dice weren't even close to becoming chocolate pralines with passion fruit filling. Theodore had gotten it multiple times and embarrassment was beginning to crawl over her cheeks in the form of warmth.
She flicks her wand once more, and when she finally thinks that she has succeeded, she is disappointed to only see a small patch of melted chocolate. A deflected sigh left her lips, and her body slouched even more in her seat.
A chuckle rang out from the side of her, and she bit the inside of her cheek in anticipation of what he was going to say.
"It's going well I see." He remarked, and (Name) felt her ears getting hot from his sudden attention.
"No, obviously not." She mumbled.
"What am I doing wrong?" The question wasn't directed to anyone in particular, but Theodore answered it anyway.
"That, you have to figure out yourself Oak." He scoffed, moving out of his wooden seat and gently picking the pralines up to place them in his palm.
"Because, unlike others, I do have pralines instead of..." he looked quizzically, but in amusement at the chocolate mush on her table. "... that."
(Name)'s face scrunched as she listened to his almost berating words that were thrown, and was about to say something but he had already started walking up to McGonagall with his paper and sweets. She took a long, calculating glance at them, and then nodded, permitting him to leave the classroom.
And he did just so, collecting his books and taking a last glance at the frustrated witch before making his way.
It left (Name) in hassle. The way that Theodore's behavior changed so quickly, and so out of context. But perhaps she's the one to blame. The hope in her heart maybe made her think that he was the nicest out of them all, that he wanted to be her friend. Perhaps -one day- to be even more. She realized that it is her younger self talking through, the child that didn't wish for anything but true love.
She decided that it was a naive thought, and hastily closed her book before walking away from the class.
The next time it happened, it was during choir. (Name) did try her best to stay civil and rational, but how could she do that when Theodore was somehow effectively getting on her last nerves? And she was usually a calm, down-to-earth person.
"What do you mean I'm doing it wrong, I sing it exactly like everyone else." She argued exasperated as she glared at monstrous holes in the side of Theodore's head. She found it strange that he could get on her nerves so easily, even if his presence were able to make her knees weak.
"You're not singing it like like everyone else, sweety." The nickname threw her off immediately, and she felt ashamed as she spluttered out excuses and arguments against it, trying to act as repulsive as possible.
"Mr. Nott and Ms. Oak, interested in sharing your conversation with the class." Professor Flitwick interrupted, and both Theodore and (Name) realized that the room was almost completely quiet, and cringed in embarrassment.
"Sorry, Professor. But I just have a question." Theodore started, holding one of his fingers in the air as he threw a side glance towards the girl on his side, who was watching him with a curiously raised eyebrow.
"But could you just tell me how this part goes one more time?" He asked, with patronize dripping from his voice like sweet, sticky honey.
The sour face that Flitwick carried quickly morphed into a lighter one.
"Why of course." His older voice rang out the words perfectly, and (Name) shrank into herself as the realization hit her that she did indeed sing wrong. Shame crept up on her from behind, and it was humbling when it came to her that Theodore, who had only been participating for two weeks, already seemed to be more intelligent and cunning than her.
"I won." (Name) didn't look at him, didn't say anything back as a strange, unknown emotion buried itself in her mind. She couldn't decide if it was jealousy, or if she was being hurt by his actions. It didn't make sense for her as to why he would need to be so right, and to mortify her like that, just to illustrate a point. Or maybe she was just being sensitive.
But right now, she didn't believe that he ever wanted to be her friend. That this was just an act to maybe relieve himself of stress, to have someone that he could compete against, knowing that he would win. It could also have something to do with power, that he felt out of control and needed something that he could manipulate. It would make sense, she supposed. (But did it though. Why would he pick her of all people to mess with? She hadn't done anything to him.)
As every single afternoon after choir, she trudged towards her house, lining up for the common rooms, more specifically, the comfort and consoling of her bed.
When she entered, it was pleasing to find that it was only one person present in the dormitory, and she hopefully could rest peacefully during the entire evening and night, and for once wake up with a good night's sleep and possibly a better mood.
Though she would be missing dinner, sacrifices were made and if it would guarantee sleep, she felt confident in taking that risk.
And with the last thought that maybe, she would just have to ignore Theodore if he continued with his confusing advances. Even if it meant that he wouldn't become her friend. And she fell asleep. A deep, undisturbed, peaceful sleep.
The next morning, she felt as fresh as the morning dew on her favorite flower. Nothing could ruin her mood was the famous words, but she truly felt it today. The day began with Magic of the Dark Arts, which she sure wasn't the brightest when it came to that class. But after that, she would practice quidditch, and then she would be able to find a dark corner in the library and bury her nose in a book, possibly one about the magical creatures of the north. It sounded interesting enough. (And who would she be to say no to new information and facts?)
--
As usual, dark arts sucked all the energy out of her eyes and brain but were lucky enough when the energy returned after the intense quidditch practice. The shower she took softened her stiff and sore limbs, and the grime and dirt watched down the drain slowly as she massaged her body with her flower-scented soap bar. It was almost a luxurious feeling.
Her robes had also been washed, which ended up with her smelling like a spring field and newly washed linen. It was something that oddly enough boosted her confidence.
The corridors were fairly empty as she began her quite a long walk towards the library. It was nice, the only thing echoing in the corridors bring the whining wind that carried new crystalizing snowflakes to the ground.
She turned corner after corner, walking by the great hall and resuming towards the moving stairs. But as she turned a corner, she stopped. Not voluntarily, but her body seemed to have control over her mind.
Lit by the flames of the corridor, was Theodore, sitting on the dusty stone floor and leaning against the wall with one of his legs stretched out before him, and the other bent towards his stomach. He didn't see her, for his head rested against the knee of his bent leg, and one of his arms clutched the side of his stomach. Almost as if he felt pain. She stood awkwardly and silently, waiting for him to notice her.
It went against what she promised yesterday night, that she wouldn't interact with, nor acknowledge his actuality. But her promises seemed to become empty every time they circled the Brunett.
So she gently cleared her throat and that seemed to do it for Theodore's head snapped towards her, his face showing that he became startled. But that wasn't the only thing that his face showed.
(Name)'s brows gently furrowed as she scanned his face. His left eye was bruised, along with his sharp cheekbone, and blood continued to drip from his nose, messily running down his lips and over his jaw.
"My my, what do we have here?" The surprised face that he carried slowly turned into a teasing smirk, but she found it easy to look past his confidence to know that it was all a mask, a trick to not let her see him in a state of weakness.
"By Merlin's beard, who did this to you?" she knelt by him to get a closer look at his face.
Theodore hoped that it didn't show, but his face had begun to heat up as her big, concerned eyes stretched over his face.
His heart beat faster, and his own brown eyes got stuck on her face, more exactly on her lips. He didn't want to stare, he didn't want to make it obvious but he had no power over his brain at all.
"Malfoy and Crabe. Maybe Goyle too. Don't remember." He said, shaking his head as he smiled with tired eyes. It was a wonder that he was still sitting up, especially after the hard kick that Crabe had delivered to his stomach.
"Why would they beat you? I thought you were friends?" She questioned, staring intently at a particular wound by his eye that looked like it surely needed medical attention sooner or later.
"I wouldn't say friends, merely acquaintances." He chuckled lightly before he shifted and turned serious." And they were saying impolite things, about someone-someone that I-" He stopped himself and pursed his lips." someone that I guess I care for." He forced that part out as if he had trouble saying it out loud. It probably contributed to the vulnerability, and it had probably torn on his ego to get beaten.
And that's why (Name) didn't ask any more questions. She wasn't usually someone to care about someone's ego, but she didn't want to make him uncomfortable.
She pursed her lips and stretched her legs which created an obnoxious sound in her knees before she stretched her hand towards him.
"What?" He asked skeptically.
"If you want, I can help with your wounds and the swelling." Theodore still looked doubtful, so she sighed and lightly rolled her eyes at his mistrust. "Don't worry, my mother used to work as a doctor back in a muggle hospital and has taught me much, so you can trust me."
Theodore seemed to relax at that and slowly grabbed her hand with a steady grip. It was an odd feeling, to have his hand in hers. It felt different than she thought it would. Instead of the cold, rough skin that she expected, it became a surprise when a warm hand with soft skin latched onto hers instead.
With a strong arm, she pulled Theodore up to his feet and she could hear a small groan leave him as he used his power and might to get up.
His face twisted in pain for a second and (Name) stretched her arm forwards when he almost fell against the wall again. Bit Theodore seemed to collect his strength with a big breath before standing straight, wincing slightly as his probably bruised ribcage stretched.
He must've felt her nervous gaze because he looked down at her with a reassuring face and said "I'm alright."
They began to track down the corridors.
They choose to walk to Theodore's room instead of (Name)'s, since he had a single room all by himself, and also because the girls wouldn't be too fond of finding Theodore in the girl's dormitory. They slowly descended the marble stairs that led to the dungeons, both of them walking much slower than before because of the pain in Theodore's stomach.
"Are you sure that we shouldn't go to madame Pomfrey instead?" (Name) asked for the third time as she heard the heavy breathing that came from Theodore, but he once again shook his head in denial.
"I'm fine, promise." He tried to persuade her, but she didn't feel fooled.
"No, I don't believe that you're fine." She argued and stopped in the middle of the stairs in protest of his hardheadedness. And when he noticed that she wasn't by his side, he stopped too and leaned against the wooden stair railing
"Please." His face showed only pleading, and the foreign display of emotion made her desire to fall to her knees for him right then and there, to take him in her arms and baby him for the rest of his life. It scared her to know that the smallest display of weakness that Theodore showed could manipulate her into doing anything. But it would be inevitable to avoid him because of such a -what she thought was- unimportant cause.
"Alright, but at least let me help you walk." She requested almost timidly, afraid that he would protest. But to her delight he nodded, so she walked to him and took his arm over her shoulder before circling her own around his slim waist, and then with all her power, she took a part of his weight onto her shoulders before they began to move, slowly limping to the edge of the old stairs before they walked down the dark dungeon to the entrance of the Slytherin house.
When they stopped in front of the dark wooden door, (Name) turned to look at Theodore for him to understand that she couldn't say the password since she didn't know it.
His cheeks pinked as he realized and he cleared his throat. "Pureblood." She would be flattered by the fact that he dared to say it loud in front of her, apparently trusting her with the password, if it weren't for the fact that her face scrunched in dislike at the password. She didn't say anything about it.
Theodore seemed to gather strength and nearly pulled her with him as he tried to cross the common room as fast as he could, like his injuries suddenly didn't hurt anymore.
(Name) wanted to stop and gape at the Slytherin common room. The first thing that stood out was the large windows on the opposite side, which allowed a view into the depths of the dark lake that you couldn't get anywhere else. There were also small desks placed against the walls and two round tables on the stone floor. And in the middle two black leathered couches took place in front of a hefty fireplace in the wall. By the thought of walls, (Name) turned her eyes up, and there she saw the stone decorations that had been carved into fetching eye-catching glamors.
Theodore pulled harsher at her arm when she slowed down, and she grumbled as he stressed her towards a high-roof corridor, that had another big window by the end that was framed by long green curtains. She believed it to be strange since the corridor wasn't parted into girls or boys as it was in hers. And there were also arguably more than two doors on the walls.
She counted every door they walked past, and ended up with the number 16 when they stopped between the last pair of doors. The door they were facing had two familiar letters engraved on them. T.N, and had been filled in with silver which she believed fitted him well.
Her free hand grabbed the handle and twisted, opening the door into his dark room. Then she stumbled inside. Her body had become tired from carrying Theodore the length of the stairs and corridors, so she walked towards his made bed and gently sat him down before closing the door. And then rolled her shoulders to leverage the pain.
She tried to look around for some kind of lighter or anything that she could use to gain sight. But it turned out to not be needed when all the candles lit up by the flick of Theodore's hand. And also a small fireplace in the corner that cast a warm hue over the room.
"Medical kit is in the top drawer." Theodore's voice was pained, and it made her hurry to the place he pointed so she could get working on his wounds. It was scary to have him sitting there in pain, labored breathing and his expression tight as he attempted not to show his discomfort. A particularly loud groan made her turn around from the desk where the medical things lay.
Theodore was now leaning against the wall with his eyes closed and teeth clenched. And she wondered how he persuaded her into keeping him away from Madame Pomfrey. She also regretted offering her help to heal him in the first place, since the injuries now seemed to be beyond her expertise. His face showed nothing but discomfort and (Name) started to feel nervous. Her medical skills were good but by how Theodore looked at the moment, she seriously started to doubt her skills.
But she didn't say anything and took a cotton pad soaked in anti-bacterial and plasters to cover the wounds with.
When she stood by the edge of the bed she concluded that she would not be able to reach him when he leaned back as he did, and gently poked at his arm to gain his attention." I can't reach you, you need to sit up."
He hummed lowly, (Name) almost missing the sound before he slowly dragged himself to the edge of the bed, his legs dangling off the side.
She didn't hesitate then and positioned herself between his legs before slowly cleaning both around in the open cuts on his temple and lip that she discovered after wiping away the blood that dripped from his nose.
The position they were in made (Name) almost dizzy with nerves, and she longed to get closer. But it was only longing and she didn't dare to do anything about it and therefore stayed at an arm's length. The new feelings made her weak. Made her feel vulnerable, and that too was scary. Extremely scary.
He suddenly hissed as she slipped with her hands. It didn't take a second before an unusual amount of guilt in her chest.
"I'm sorry, I lost focus."
He nodded. A way of showing that it is okay. But his jaw still clenched when she proceeded with the plasters.
"I need to look at your stomach too." There was quiet as she stood in front of him, waiting for him to raise his shirt. But he didn't seem to be compliant. "I only need to check for anything broken."
He seemed to let down his guard when she added the reason, and her body warmed in shame when she understood that Theodore thought she wanted to see his bare skin.
Also because Theodore had started to lift his shirt, revealing his bare skin to her. She felt almost flattered that he trusted her enough to undress like this. But she knew he didn't have much of a choice.
"Lay down please." He once again did as she said, and slowly leaned into his bed, stretching his upper body when his back hit the mattress. It was quiet in the room, the only thing that you could hear being Theodore's uneven breathing and (Name)'s airy gasp when her eyes landed on his bruised ribs.
"By Merlin, what did they do to you?" she asked him while she took a closer look. The left side of his ribcage had been beaten to the point where the bruises turned yellow and green instead of blue and purple.
"What? What is it?" he moved his hand toward the bruises, trying to feel after the thing that had gotten her stunned but she quickly grabbed his wrist so that he wouldn't cause himself any unnecessary pain. Especially not when she had already made him feel enough pain for the rest of her life.
She swallowed and rested Theodore's hand by his side. He stared at her tensely as she brought her hand up, letting it float over his ribcage. This time, his entire body unknowingly tensed as he waited for the pain that would come when she laid her hand on him. But she never did. Instead, she closed her eyes.
Warmth flowed in waves from the palm of her hand and Theodore's body began to slowly un-tense.
Theodore would trust her with his own worthless life if it came to it, and it wasn't why he felt so on edge. To have her fingers, her flesh so close to his own given his heart something to work for and his brain something to think of. And if he weren't in such agony, he would've begged her to touch him. To lay her warm palm upon his beaten skin, to kiss it, to caress it.
His pathetic thoughts were happily interrupted as the pads of her finger accidentally made contact with his sternum, and a delighted shiver crawled its way over his body.
"Sorry." She apologized, thinking that she had caused him pain.
"It didn't hurt." She looked at him with an unbelieving frown, a frown that made his tongue twist when he tried to stutter an answer.
"Or it does hurt, but your touch... doesn't hurt." She barely heard the last part. Barely, but she still did. Her body heat skyrocketed, and she bit the inside of her cheek to hide her flustered expression, and also to stop the dancing butterflies that made their way up her throat.
He didn't know what came over him at that moment, but a sudden urge to tell her everything limped its way into his mind. It was a long time since he felt this vulnerable and was okay with it. An old memory of him as a child in his mother's arms flashed before his eyes, but he quickly locked it away once more.
But he bit his tongue.
He was sure that she thought he looked pathetic. Here he lay, half-naked, beaten bloodied with tears in his eyes and a frown on his face. He didn't know if he enjoyed the thought or not, because while he enjoyed being vulnerable for you, he still didn't want you to think he was weak because of the touch of the woman he had been obsessing over.
"You must care for this person, hm?" She awkwardly laughed as she smoothly changed the subject. She didn't want to know who he fought for, nor why he did it. But it started getting harder and harder for her to keep to the promise she made herself. To keep him at a distance. Both physically and emotionally.
Theodore didn't have time to answer, both because he was overthrown by the complete change of conversation, but also because she spoke again before he even opened his mouth.
"Who is it anyway. I honestly didn't know you could care about someone that much." She joked harmlessly, but the comment made his mouth feel like paper.
"You."
She stopped her magic, fingers retracting into her palm and her head snapped up to meet his eyes, to see if he lied. But she saw only honesty. No side smirk, no crinkle by his eyes, no pursing lips as a way to hide a mischievous smile.
His eyes were peering at her through his lashes, innocent, brown eyes.
"What- What do you mean?"She carefully asked, knowing exactly what he meant. But she needed confirmation.
"It was you who they spoke ill about." He murmured, staring into the abyss of her eyes. Her body burned like it was on fire because of the nerves that he created within her. And she wanted to look away so that she could catch her breath but she deemed it impossible.
A glaze was cast over his eyes, a glaze containing something akin to admiration.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" The question slipped before she could think about stopping it.
Once more, he didn't say anything. But she could feel how he moved. His arm slowly encircled her and the other hand, he raised to her cheek. His fingers danced along her cheekbone, spreading a fire on her skin that she didn't know to be possible until now.
But the moment changed, as did the energy in the room as he carefully leaned closer with big, hopeful eyes. She stood frozen, one part not believing what was about to happen and the other knowing that if she valued herself, she would have to remove herself right now.
Before he took the next step, she pulled her face away.
Deep in her gut, there was a sour scorching feeling that began to spread like poisoning, killing all happiness that was present before and taking the form of angry tears in her eyes. It was unfair, how he could treat her however he liked, be as awful as he wished. And still have her here, sitting in his sheets and bandaging him with gentle hands.
It was unfair.
"You are so contradicting Theodore." Tears were stuck in her voice and she quickly raised from the bed. She didn't want him to see that she was hurting.
"What?" There was a pang in her heart. He sounded small, like a wounded animal.
"You are mean Theodore." She started, turning around to look at him." At first, you treated me like an equal, like a friend. Until you didn't."
He couldn't meet her eyes anymore, regret eating its way from his heart to his skin. She sniffled and cleared her throat when it became harder to keep her tears at bay.
"I thought that I'd done something to make you hate me, and I was sure you did. But then you kept insisting to sit by me, or to be around me and I couldn't understand." Her voice became small, and her tears became uncontrollable. The embarrassment of sobbing in front of him made her stomach churn, and all she wanted was to shrink into herself. She wanted him to laugh at her, to mock her so that she could get over it and move on.
But that wasn't what Theodore wanted at all. He made her feel hated by him when all he wanted was to be loved by her. And he now felt adamant to change that.
However, it's hard when he slowly crumbles as her tears continue to fall.
"I'm sorry."
And he needs to go to her. So he raises himself off the soft bed and limps toward her. But before he gets too close she turns her back on him, hiding from his fierce gaze. He sighed, saddened by her shyness, the one that had worked hard to get through, only to mess it up either way.
She wrapped her arms around herself and bowed her head to the floor when her sobbing turned into hulking and gasps for air. That was when she felt something different. Theodore had enclosed his hands on her upper arms from behind, giving them gentle caresses with his thumbs. And once more, the caresses spread the wildfire. Her body warmed and her breathing calmed as if the comfort worked.
She didn't know why she doubted that his comfort would work in the first place. Maybe because she wanted to think that he wasn't anything special to her. That love didn't do any difference when it came to a person. But he was, and it did.
Suddenly, before she could blink he turned her around and gently tugged her into his bare chest, enclosing his arms around her in an embrace. The hug didn't last long, but it didn't have to because it brought comfort either way. When he pulled away his hands immediately reached for her cheeks.
When his hands cup both sides of her face, she flinches back. But she doesn't get anywhere for his grip is unmoving. His thumb suddenly touched the space between her eyebrows and began slowly stroking the space, evening out the frown on her face.
She swallows hard. "It was never my intention to make you feel this way." He sighed. A deep heartfelt sigh." I just wanted your attention. And your laughs and your love. But my so thought to be efficacious methods didn't seem to be as efficacious as I believed them to be."
A humorous chuckle rumbles through his chest when a tiny, watery smile tugs at the corner of her lips. And then (Name) feels the aftermath of her sobbing catching up to her body, and a headache grows in her skull. And that's why she lets her forehead rest on the space in between his collarbones.
"Can you ever forgive me?" He asks while letting his fingers push her back from her tear-stained face. She makes a sound in the back of her throat.
"How can I not."
Her voice still had a watery touch to it but sounded more optimistic than she had the entire day. And Theodore tightened his arms around her. But the action sent a jolt of pain through his stomach, and therefore staggered into as he tried to lean some of his body weight on her. But since she wasn't ready, she stumbled against the wall.
"Sorry." He mumbled and pulled away from the embrace.
She chuckled while looking towards the floor, before slowly dragging her eyes up to his face. And then, out of pure instinct, she kissed his cheek and his entire body flared up. "You don't have to apologize."
She hoped he realized the double meaning behind her words. And that she truly did forgive him. Perhaps it would be a stupid decision she would come to regret. But it would be a future problem.
A gentle smile licked her features when he once again cupped her cheeks in his warm palms, and she was on top of the world when he slowly leaned closer.
But he moved so slow, and (Name) wanted to feel him and therefore rose to her toes to gently connect the kiss. It was only a peck, and also short-lived. But it was also her first kiss which meant that it still felt like a thousand suns burned in her chest.
But Theodore seemed to think differently, and with a breath, connected their lips into another sweet, blissful kiss. Although this one not only was deeper but also felt like it was. Her heart beat inside her ribs, more alive than ever when Theodore continued to angle her to meet his lips as he wished. As of the moment, he was pushing her into the wall with his chest, trying to feel as much of her as possible. But since he pressed into her, she had to angle her head up so that he would reach her lips.
Her lungs were burning, and her head spun and she had no choice but to pull away. When she did, Theodore quickly tried to connect their lips again, but she didn't let him. It wasn't that she didn't want to kiss him because she did. But she also wanted to look at him. To see his brown eyes, his pink kissed lips, and rosy cheeks.
"You look pretty." She whispered, and lightly kissed his nose. It was out of her character, but it felt right to do so. Especially when she saw the surprised face that he wore.
And at that moment, Theodore felt at peace. There was no itching on his arm, no pain and she was officially his known addiction. He would never let her go now.
