I have a scenario in my head

That Hermione (perhaps because she is an only child or just because she is) would have her moments of being quiet, without having to go up and down or leave the house

Just quiet at home, you know? But Ron, having grown up in the house with several brothers (note: the twins) doesn't think it's normal to stay silent or relaxed for long periods of time

Maybe when they started living together and then they got out of that honeymoon phase, Hermione have this moment (they as a couple have) and he starts to get worried so he goes to talk to the most agitated people, and relatively good with women, that he knows

George and Fred

Ron yells across the house to get her opinion on something and she snaps that she doesn’t appreciate being yelled at. Ron is so confused because that’s just how him and his family talk to each other.

Ron thinking she’s angry with him because the house is so quiet, brings home the new books she had been wanting to make her happy. She’s so happy, but confused why he’s trying to make amends when he hasn’t done anything wrong.

George and Fred trying to help Ron out, but being equally stumped. Percy and Harry ends up giving Ron the best advice out of anyone.

Aside from Luna, Ron is the hardest HP character to capture in fic. Anyone can be intelligent (that's why so many writers gravitate to Hermione) but genuinely funny people are much rarer. Book smarts is plastic, it's everywhere; wit, on the other hand, is a precious metal. Even Ron stans struggle with getting his voice right. I could write Hermione in my sleep, but nailing Ron's quips and comebacks often requires careful thought and precision.

QED Ron bashers are just jelly they ain't as funny as The Weasel King.
