It was a delightfully ordinary, Wednesday evening at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The typical mist lay heavy on the stone foundations of the castle, seeping through the cracks of doors and rotten window frames, like a chilling, wet breeze. The Gryffindor common room was set south of the grand building, thick but lively layers of dust coating the picture frames, the books and embedded in the regal rugs. Despite the vast number of students that had passed to and from these walls, it, like its location, seemed to stay recognisably untouched. Wine red curtains draped over the clouded, antique windows, like they had always been, the decor-orientated fireplace roared invitingly, as it had always done. It was nearly a guarantee that every child of the lion house would look upon the common room just as every other had done, and would do so forth. So similar in fact that those who occupied the creaky beds in the dorms just a staircase above or below, could enthuse about it's appearance, it's welcome and it's sense of home, to any other Gryffindor, whether them be from two, or ten years ago.

It was this familiarity, and this warmth, that created the brave camaraderie of the Gryffindors.

Currently inhabiting this exact setting, there resided a certain batch of fascinating students, one draped across the velvet settee, one fidgeting, bouncing his leg, staring into the fireplace, one lay covering the musty, worn floorboards, and lastly, one rushing down the echoing staircase with a pitter patter.

"Guys, guys!", she bellowed into the homely room, scurrying as she descended, until finally reaching the middle of the gathered group.

The boy lounging on the soft furnishings reluctantly sat up with a groan, his hands propping himself up behind him, one leg stretched out, the other bent over the armrest. His dark blue eyes now on the girl, his face as beautifully pale and freckly as ever. This was Ron, commonly recognised due to his outstandingly red hair, his Weasley last name, and of course his vintage-looking robes.

"Hff, what you shouting for?", Ron retorted at the dramatic entrance.

The girl, y/n, ignored him, stretching her sight over to the others, whom one of which had only just broken his gaze from the dancing flames.

"Hmm?", the other boy questioned, only acknowledging her arrival thanks to Ron's lazy words. This was Harry, though who didn't know that? The one thing Harry Potter was not, was unestablished, everyone and anyone knew him. His leg had ceased to bounce now, sat civily next to the red head, hands clasped in his lap, not before chewing his nails in thought. A somewhat handsome boy he was, piercing, green eyes, thick, dark eyebrows outlining them, and most definitely his circular glasses that framed them both.

"Hermione!", y/n urged hurriedly to the girl still lay across the floor, scattered in leather-bound books, the last of the group to give her their attention. Her full, wavy hair flowing down her back characteristically, it's caramel colour melting into the rouge rug harmoniously. Casting her natural beauty over her shoulder, she begrudgingly removed her eyes from the tea stained pages and landed them on y/n, brows furrowed.

"Yes?", Hermione answered proceeding an irritated sigh.

Now that she'd successfully gained their observation, she continued, "You'll never guess what I just heard", elongating the latter in a bothersome, high pitched song.

"What is it now? More gossip I suppose", noted Harry, looking as uninterested as the other two. It wasn't typical that her friends were this well, unfriendly, but having been a long day, they were pleased to let it come to an end, gasping for sleep. Y/n however felt differently,

"Look, it's not my fault if I happen to... overhear a few things, is it!?", she asserted, rolling her eyes.

"It is highly inappropriate to be listening in on a private conversation, and especially so, if you're then going to go telling everyo-", Hermione's lecture was cut off.

"Ugh, it's not even a big deal, I just heard Lavender chatting to Romilda, about... you", she spun round and pointed straight at Ron, trying to conceal a grin. Failing this, she burst out laughing, much to Ron's panic, Harry's interest, and Hermione's displeasure.

"W-what? What was she saying...", he trailed off, his voice shaking with concern and a hint of annoyance.

"Oh what does it matter anyway? You broke up months ago!", Hermione announced, still sat on the floor, but now crosslegged facing the messenger.

Harry just watched, mildly entertained and somewhat distracted, turning his head left to right, to left again, like watching a game of tennis, but with words.

"Well... let's just say don't go accepting a box of chocolates off Lavender-"

There was a collective gasp, Ron looked done in and Hermione was struggling to camouflage her indignation.

"What the bloody hell is she doing that for?"

"She simply cannot!"

Ron and Hermione both stated.

"Yep... the old love potion, seems like she's still not over you.", affirmed Y/n, not fretting about this information in the slightest.

"Yeah... yeah I guess, I mean it's understandable though isn't it? No one else likes her do they", Ron sympathetically shrugged.

"What do you mean, 'No one else likes her'?", Y/n questioned, her carefree facade transforming into something more hostile.

"Oh come off it, you know what I meant, the girl's barmy!", he exclaimed.

"Didn't stop you from dating her though, did it", she scoffed.

"Will you two shut up! You've only been dating a month or two yourselves and you're already arguing like an old married couple!", Hermione argued, gathering her books and heading to her dorm with rapid speed.

There was a split second silence as they all watched her leave.

"I uh- ...Ron? You coming?", Harry whispered, following Hermione's lead.

"Er yeah, I'll be up in a minute, mate", he replied softly.

Harry tip toed up the stone staircase, to his dorm, leaving the couple to it.

The common room was empty besides them, everyone else in their dorms chatting quietly if not already asleep. Y/n and Ron sat together on the vermilion sofa, both staring at the floor, neither speaking.

"I'm sorry", she began, "I know you're not interested in her anymore"

"It's fine, I know how you feel, her not being able to leave us alone. But you know that I only want you", he uttered gently, now facing her, his big eyes on hers. He lifted his hand from the worn fabric of the seat, bringing it up to her face, swiping his thumb across her cheek dearly. She smiled warmly, as he leaned down to plant a loving kiss on the top of her head before he clambered up to his dorm.

"Goodnight love", he managed to say before leaving.

"Goodnight", she replied, now staring into the burning but dying flames.

It happens while he’s having a long-overdue visit with Ginny. After a night of good food and alcohol and catching up, she digs her fingers right into the bruise that is his loneliness.

“So, seeing anyone?”

The short answer is no. The long answer is, frankly, depressing. 

It’s a no, but not for lack of recent effort. He retired from professional football nearly five years ago, and he hasn’t had any luck finding a partner despite going on several dates. He’s tried to meet people; his friends keep subtly (and then not-at-all subtly) pushing him in the direction of single acquaintances or friends-of-friends, but he’s been out of the game long enough that it all feels foreign to him. He hasn’t felt a spark or connection with anyone. And if one more person mentions Tinder or Grindr to him, he might stuff his phone down their throat.

Hell, his last real relationship was… Ginny. Christ, that was almost twenty years ago. No wonder his friends think he needs to be set up. But after he and Gin broke up, he was so focused on playing better, keeping his team in the Premier League, or playing in Euro Cups or World Cups. The long hours spent training and playing and travelling didn’t exactly allow for much time to meet people or date, and a lot of the people he’d meet through club events or at the bars and parties his teammates frequented weren’t exactly looking for a committed relationship. From a couple disastrous attempts, he's well aware he doesn’t do well with one-night stands.

By the time his retirement loomed, he was more excited to spend time with his friends and family – to watch his honorary nieces and nephews grow up. He’d done his best to maintain those relationships when he could, and now he’s going to enjoy the results of that effort. 

But he’s always wanted a partner – a love like he’d heard his parents had. He’s sure there’s someone out there for him; he just wishes they’d stop hiding.

“I’m going to take that as a no,” Ginny says after an embarrassingly long pause. “Oh no, don’t get all mopey on me–”

“I’m not mopey,” Harry grumbles into his beer. Ginny gives him a look. “I’m not! I just. Maybe I’m a bit frustrated. Trying to find someone is exhausting. And demoralising.”

“If you can’t find someone, what chance do mere mortals have?” she teases.

“Oh, ha ha,” he snarks. “I know you’re taking the piss, but… I think that might actually be part of the problem? Most of them want Harry Potter, but I’m just Harry. Once you take away the sports stuff, I’m really quite boring.”

“Harry.”

“What?”

“You are not, and could never be, boring. You, my friend, are a chaos magnet. Even now that you’re not one of the highest paid football players, or on the cover of Sports Illustrated, or modelling underwear, or whatever ridiculous thing, you are plenty interesting on your own.”

“Gin,” he says, feeling a bit choked up.

“There, there.” She pats his hand before leaning back in her chair, lost in thought. “So, dating isn’t working…”

“To put it lightly.”

Ginny gives him a considering look. “Have you ever thought of finding a sugar baby?”

“A wh–” He chokes on his spit and coughs. “Sugar baby?! I’m not some creepy old letch, Gin!”

She waves off his pearl-clutching. “No, but you are rich and desperate.”

“Oi!”

“Oh, hush. Why not give it a shot? One of my rugby mates used this matchmaking service and had great luck.”

“I’m not paying someone to have sex with me,” he says flatly.

“Then don’t. Pay someone to keep your lonely arse company.”

He sighs, running a hand through his unruly hair and wincing when it snags on a knot. “That just seems so pathetic…”

“Harry,” Ginny says, looking him in the eye. “You have money you don’t need, and want someone to care about. There are many people out there who would love to have that money and someone to care about them.”

And that’s a little more enticing.

“But, since I know you, I will add: Do not try to be a hero. It should be mutually beneficial,” she stresses sternly.

“You say that like I’m going to do this, but I haven’t agreed–”

“We’re going to create a profile right now.”

“Ginnyyyyyyy,” he groans. “Noooooo–”

“None of that,” she says, grabbing his laptop. “You need to build up some relationship confidence, and since the old-fashioned way isn’t working, you’re going to give this a shot.”

He finishes his drink and goes to flop on the sofa in protest.

After a fair bit of typing, Ginny calls from across the room, “Ay, Harry – birds or blokes?”

He lifts his face from where it’s wedged into a pillow enough to shout back a bleary “Both!”

Foggy memories flicker in and out of them shouting questions and answers back and forth, with Ginny eventually migrating to the sofa and asking him to look at photos.

The next morning, Harry wakes up with a nasty hangover and a message on the sugar baby matchmaking app saying he has a date that weekend.

Hi, Gt! 🍵 Curious: what character's POV in Lionheart universe you'd enjoy writing the most in regards of showing an outside perpective of Draco/Hermione? Or imagining, that is. And also! What character would be your favorite to write besides D and H in terms of explaining their inner thoughs/actions? 🪻🌺

I always thought it'd be fun to do a "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" ripoff with Lavender, Parvati, and Romilda, where the through line is a gambling ring they've had since third year about when and how Hermione's Friendcest Love Triangle/Five-Year Situationship From Hell is going to resolve. I think that'd be the funniest to write.

As for an actual serious character piece, I would love to do something in Pansy's head. She's so nasty and clever and hypocritical, and I get excited whenever I get to put her in a scene with Theo. Writing the two of them together feels like shining a flashlight down a well and going "hey, you good down there?" and all you hear back is growling.

Of course, the real choice is obviously Narcissa. But I've dabbled with her already, and without spoilers, we'll have a bit more dabbling before we're through.

Operation Panville

The Hogwarts Beauty Club wants to ensure that their member, Pansy, has a romantic date with Neville on Hogsmeade weekend. They run interference for them.

Written for the HPFF discord Masquerade Ball.

The brass plaque titled ‘Hogwarts Beauty Club’ rattled on the door as Lavender closed it behind her. Parvati looked up from where she had been enchanting jewelry. Lavender slipped off her necklace, took out her earrings and placed them on the table next to the others.

“We’re all here now and Hogsmeade weekend is tomorrow. Are we all ready for Operation Panville?” Parvati looked each of them in the eye in turn.

Romilda nodded, as did Padma and Daphne.

Lavender was the last to nod and she added, “I let Neville know about the really romantic glade near Hogsmeade that overlooks the brook that flows into the Black Lake and he said that sounded like a good place to take Pansy. I told him Ron had taken me there one day and we’d snogged the day away.”

Parvati finished her enchantments, and handed the jewelry back to their owners. They all put their pieces back on.

“Testing…” Parvati smiled as her voice faintly echoed from the earrings and the others tested their enchanted jewelry in turn.

The next day, Romilda loitered near the castle doors. Pansy gave Romilda a wink as she left hand in hand with Neville, who talked excitedly about a new plant specimen. Romilda stepped into line next. She’d ‘misplaced’ her slip and Professor Flitwick had to recall it from his office. She smiled as she knew it gave Pansy a good head start.

Further down the path, Padma waited, pretending to have to tie her shoe. She had just seen Pansy and Neville walk by. Pansy blew her a kiss as they went down a side path toward the brook.

Suddenly, Romilda’s voice whispered urgently in her ear.

“Mayday! Red Moon!”

Padma stood just in time to see Ginny and Luna hustling down the path.

“I’m telling you, I saw Neville with Parkinson!” Ginny almost spat. Luna smiled serenely.

“What if you did?” she said, but let herself be dragged along.

“She betrayed Harry; she might be doing the same to Neville.” Ginny sounded frantic.

“But he told me that he liked her and she was different now.” Luna saw Padma and waved.

“I saw them. They were heading toward Madame Puddifoot’s.” Padma pointed toward Hogsmeade.

“What were they doing?” Ginny asked.

“Well, Neville was talking about Mandrakes and Pansy was stroking his arm as they walked. They looked happy.” Padma smiled.

“I don’t trust her,” Ginny groused and pulled Luna after her again toward Hogsmeade.

Daphne and Lavender were sitting on a blanket in the glade, but on the far side. A fifth-year couple was also there and already busy snogging under an umbrella. Daphne watched the path and Lavender watched the other couple. When Daphne nudged her, Lavender released her jar of gnats with a whispered instruction. The swarm flew toward the fifth-years and soon they packed up and left. When she turned back, she saw that Neville and Pansy had set up close to the overlook of the brook. She poured tea for Daphne, who drank it, but kept one eye on Neville and Pansy, while Lavender watched the path.

“There’s a lull in the conversation, but it looks like Pansy’s taking the lead to restart it,” Daphne whispered in Lavender’s ear, who shivered at her breath.

“Good.” Lavender whispered back and felt gratified when Daphne’s neck goose-pimpled.

“Oh, she just pulled the ‘I’m cold’ and he tried to give her his jacket, but she used the ‘just open it’ and snuggled up to his chest inside it.” Daphne reported. This time her lip brushed Lavender’s ear and Lav knew it had to be deliberate.

“Shit.” Lavender whispered back and Daphne turned to see what Lavender had seen.

Ron, Harry and Hermione started to come into the glade, the two men were in their Silver Auror uniforms. Lavender stood and rushed over to them.

“What do you want?” she whispered to Harry, who tried to push by her. Daphne blocked him.

“We heard that Neville was in danger.” Harry said.

“Heard it from Ginny most likely.” Lavender sighed and Hermione blushed.

“No, it was me,” Hermione said.

“Neville is fine. The Hogwarts Beauty Club is watching out for him and supporting our member, Pansy. They’re doing fine and if they’re dating, that’s none of your business.” Daphne pushed Ron. He started to pull his wand, but Harry put a hand on his arm.

“Look,” Harry said and pointed.

They all turned and followed his gaze.

Pansy straddled Neville’s lap, facing him. Their heads and hands moved both over and under their robes. Pansy whispered something to Neville, who broke the embrace and turned toward them. He lifted a hand and waved them away like shooing a fly.

“Yeah, he’s okay,” Harry laughed.

“Neville can handle himself. You three weren’t here to see how different he is now.” Daphne’s voice was frigid. Lavender took her hand. Daphne squeezed it almost painfully.

“I’m sorry,” Hermione said and blushed even deeper.

“Right, as long as I’m here and you’re here, want to grab a bite?” Ron grabbed Hermione’s hand and she nodded. They Disapparated.

“I’m off to find Ginny. I’ve got a few hours to spare.” He hugged Lavender, who returned it stiffly, surprised at first.

“She’s in Hogsmeade; we misdirected her. Please don’t let her interfere; they’ve faced so much hate from both the Gryffindors and the Slytherins already and we’re trying to calm it down.” Lavender patted Harry on the arm awkwardly.

Harry jutted his chin at the couple, who were now laying under the blanket, which moved sinuously.

He walked away, whistling to himself. Daphne and Lavender went back to their blanket and soon they were under it also. They lost track of what Neville and Pansy were up to, but Lavender hoped it was as nice as what she and Daphne were doing.

Why do you feel like Harry is so unliked? I thought it showed in OotP how much everyone looked up to him. The way everyone looked up to him for guidance as a leader, showed how likeable he was. Ya some people thought he was attention seekers but not all of them. Lots of people looked up to Harry and liked him. I don’t think he’s as unpopular as you think he is. I think a lot of people saw a different side of him in OotP and I don’t think only certain people got to see the nice side to him. The kid wasn’t rude to you unless you deserved it. He strikes me as polite and kind unless you hurt or insult someone he cares about. I do think Harry was more popular than Ron and although Ron is hilarious he didn’t really have very many friends either. The reason Harry didn’t hang out with Dean and Seamus in GoF was because Ron was with them first, plus Seamus was always a little jealous over Harry so I wouldn’t be surprised if that was something Ron and him bonded over during that time.

Because he really wasn’t.

He was ostracized in second year, fourth year, AND fifth year. People thought the worst of him for three entire years. Not just over small stuff. They legit thought he was petrifying students, cheated to enter a tournament for attention, and that he was a big fat liar. Each time, very few people actually believed Harry. Why? Because nobody really knew him.

I bet, though never stated, quite a few people were just exasperated with Harry in POA because now they had Dementors and Sirius Black breaking into the castle with a knife. Any normal person would be annoyed and bitter that they had to fear for their life because of Harry. Because it’s always something with Harry!

So if he’s on the outs with pretty much the entire school 3/6 years (potentially 4/6 years if you count POA though there’s no solid evidence), how did he become popular? Respecting him in the DA doesn’t mean he’s popular. Believing him in HBP and thinking he really is the chosen one doesn’t mean he’d popular.

And I don’t think it was a case in GOF that Ron got to Dean and Seamus first. I think Ron is more social and likable than Harry in initial meetings. I don’t even recall Harry trying to make new friends in GOF. He just stuck to Hermione. But, you know, I don’t blame him when everyone is wearing Potter stinks badges and calling him a cheat and an attention seeker. Yeah, that screams Mr Popularity.

Seamus thought Harry was a liar in OOTP. He wasn’t a close friend of Harry’s. If he was, he never would have jumped on the “Harry is a liar” bandwagon. Furthermore, he LIVES with Harry. He would have saw a very traumatized Harry in a more intimate way than others after the final task. Yet, he still believed Harry was a liar.

While people may have come to respect Harry in OOTP through the DA, it’s not like everyone was going out of their way to talk to him. He still stuck to Ron and Hermione. It wasn’t until HBP that we saw people taking an interest in Harry (mostly girls) because he was dubbed the chosen one. Romilda Vane didn’t like Harry for Harry. She liked him because he was dubbed as special again. As a bulk of other girls did. Plus, I think, Harry has blossomed from 15 to 16 to being taller and coming into his own. So girls probably legit thought he was cute too.

Harry wasn’t popular with the girls before. He struggled hardcore to get a date to the Yule Ball. It wasn’t like girls were flirting with him and trying to get an invite. He legit asked Parvati, someone he wasn’t close with but knew him enough to know he wasn’t a jerk. But I’m sure after that an abysmal date, she had a slight change of opinion. Parvati and Lavender were gossips. You know that got around the school.

Everyone and their Muggle cousin knew Ron was pissy at the Yule Ball because of Hermione and Krum. While it doesn’t excuse his behavior, it doesn’t linger like a cloud over him either after Lavender sucked his face off in HBP. Meanwhile, Harry had no reason to be a grump. He was a grump to be a grump.

When Ron and Hermione were prefects, Harry had no idea where to sit on the train in OOTP. He chose to sit with Ginny, Neville, and Luna. He probably chose it because of Ginny because he knows Ginny better than the others. It’s no secret that Harry loves all things Weasley. Harry hates sitting there with Neville and Luna. If Harry was friends with Neville, he wouldn’t have been so embarrassed to sit with him when Cho came around. (Though his opinions of Luna and Neville do change after the DOM debacle and he probably considered them friends).

So, if Harry wasn’t close with Neville or Seamus by OOTP (people in his own dorm), what makes you think he was popular in general? He wasn’t even popular amongst the boys in his own year. Furthermore, we can assume even in HBP that Seamus AND Dean weren’t close to Harry or really his friends because they made fun of him enough for falling off his broom that Ginny laid into them. I don’t think Ginny would have laid into them if they were Harry’s friends and taking the mickey.

So maybe you could say that Harry was “popular” in first year. Maybe he did talk to more people than we saw. But nobody stuck by his side in COS besides Romione, the Weasleys, and possibly the Quidditch team since they’d know him better than most. I can’t remember if the Quidditch team was salty against him or not. But if you believe your friend is petrifying students, well, they weren’t really your friend to begin with.

I think if anything, you could say Harry was popular in the sense that everyone knew his name, who he was, and things that he did. I do not think you can claim he was traditionally socially popular. He stuck with the same friends. You never really saw him interacting with very many people outside of Romione, the Weasleys, and the Quidditch team.

Harry is never surrounded by a bunch of people like Cho and Ginny who are described as popular. I look it as who are Harry’s friends and how does he interact with his peers to determine if he was popular. And, well, that’s lacking. Harry doesn’t have a lot of friends and he doesn’t interact with a ton of people all the time. The closest he came to that was the DA but, again, respect does not equal popularity.

That’s okay! I personally like that Harry wasn’t popular. I think it makes him more relatable and human. Given his childhood, it makes more sense that he has a tight-knit group of friends he trusts more than anyone else. I don’t think Harry would want a big group of friends. He likes the intimacy of a small group, knowing they are tight and he can count on them.

Between Harry and Ron, who would you say is worse with dating?(both DSMSG and canon)

That's one loaded question but as a quick answer off the top of my head, probably Harry. Ron's only actual relationships in canon were with Hermione and Lavender and as far as I can recall, his breakup with Lavender was not really his fault? Something about the love potion with Romilda, I think? And his problems with Hermione in 7th when they were kinda in between was more about his worrying about his family which is, y'know, pretty valid on his side. Canon Harry's got 1) jealousy issues, and 2) savior complex so he's somehow both going to keep close and push away his partner, which I imagine is pretty damn unproductive for a healthy and reciprocating relationship.

Then again, who knows how Ron would react if he was in Harry's place. That's probably why I had him crushing on Cho in the old version of DMSMG lol. I think older Ron would actually be a pretty good partner in general (at the very least, he wouldn't name his kids like...that). He has his parents to model off of, and all that. Harry on the other hand...besides his main reference being the Dursleys, his own idea of romantic relationships must be super skewed, especially after knowing how Lily hated James at first. DMSMG Harry will have Remus and Sirius to model off of I suppose? (not that they're much better, with the whole "would leave his pregnant partner alone in a war" and "literally spent the last decade going insane in prison" thing, but yknow what, they have time to get therapy now so...). It's hard to say who would be worse in DMSMG when Harry's only interested in Draco, which requires an entirely different approach to romance.

i mean... it's canon, isn't it. i just think there's something so beautiful about these lovely lasses, giggling and being undeniable hotties and jointly fancying a horse. i love that parvati canonically doesn't have a date for the yule ball for far longer than a woman of her calibre should have [because she was raging lavender was going with seamus, change my mind], which allows her to finesse going with harry but also allows her to ditch him as soon as humanly possible without having to risk a midnight kiss. i love that parvati is demonstrably unimpressed when lavender starts going out with ron, because she knows her bestie can do better, with her.

and - of course - i love both the inherent tragedy of their relationship being cut short before it's ever really begun by lavender dying of her wounds in the battle of hogwarts and the inherent beauty of them building a life together across the course of a long and healing post-war love if lavender survives. lovely.

im going to be real with you anon as much as I do like thinking of f/f and write it occasionally I don't actually read fics much at all

typically when i really want a wlw story I actually jump to anime/manga, VN's or webcomics dsjfasdl

like I've fallen head over for Lavender yeah but unlike Percy where when i first jumped in i would read anything in sight and only in the last few months have grown picky on how he's portrayed

with Lavender i was picky from the very start and my thoughts on her don't seem to line up well with what i have seen from others fsadjfljsd so i think about her far more then i actually seek out fics involving her

Thats not to say i don't have any but just a warning ig

most are short and most are from the rare pair servers flash comps

Also secondary warning make sure to check tags and such

Though I will say something that's worked for me in the past when fic hunting when you don't have a specific ship you want is

Going to a character tag you like (or you know just the fandom page itself i normally do this to have less to look at so i tend to do characters i want to read)

filtering out everything except the couple type you want (so in this case everything but F/F though if you don't want gen fic make sure to click F/F in include as well)

and then excluding every popular character

(this is to get to the really fun rare stuff as well as cut out a lot of the people who are annoying and over tag characters

it makes it more likely to pull up fic actually related to the character you want but its a double edged sword since if you do like those popular characters they wont appear)

But overall it really cuts down the list fast and makes the search easier

then you can just add more or exclude more like normal

Like I just did this with Luna

cutting down a selection of 8k where most of the first page didn't even seem to be f/f focused to around 400 with all of the first page being what I was looking for and after sorting by length I got these three at the top

you do have to tweak what character you use as your meat shields depending on who you've looking for and you'll always miss things but I just think that means you have more to discover later

Small Introduction:

Hey there! I have done many iterations of this and honestly I just miss it! I hope you all will take the time to read this over as i spent a lot of time on this and it's not fun when people don't read everything.

Plot:

This does go chronologically through Harry Potter's years at Hogwarts and the struggles he deals with as well as his friends and enemies at school. But not only will we be following Harry Potter but some other characters.

My main character, Catalina Thorne, has gone through quite a lot. Not by any means as much as Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived. But she has dealt with things her classmates and friends could scarcely ever go through. She had to watch her life unfold as a lie and had to lie about the true death of her family. She has to keep a secret of the family safe. The one person she shouldn't trust her secret to is the son of a death eater. But Catalina, the shy sweet innocent girl that she plays, goes and gets a crush on the worst person she can, Draco Malfoy. Can she manage to keep her family secret when her boyfriend's family is one of the darkest wizarding families? Find out!

Rules:

1. Please make sure you know Wizarding World lore and background. I will make a channel for information if anyone has any questions.

2. Sexual activities must happen in a private channel and with the proper procedures. The students can only do this if you are in year 5. Younger years are allowed to do hand holding and kissing and the like.

3. You are allowed to play as many characters as you can control. Just please don't play too many that it's a burden for you.

4. Any ocs are allowed. Just please provide a bio and picture and let it be approved beforehand.

5. Please no fighting for ships. I have set some but if you want to create one, let me know

6. I will need help to make this group as making groups isn't my forte. I'm not great at creating a bots channel. So if you want to help me, please inform me immediately.

7. I would like you all to be semi literate to literate and speak in full sentences. The more details, the better!
