Because it is.#And let me just say. I think it is the perfect adaptation. Somehow this film manages to be one of the best dystopia satires out there #While also being a genuine critique of capitalism and burocracy.#Plus the practical effects and set design were outstanding.#The 'romance' in this movie was definitely also a satire.#It is unbelievably wacky. I'm dead serious when I say this comic is beat for beat something that happens in the film #Guy who told this women *nothing* about the peril she's in form the government tells her he (legally) killed her.#She responds by saying “Care for a little necrophilia?” with NO ROMANTIC LEAD UP.#THE MUSIC SWELLS. HE TEARS OFF HIS JACKET AND DIVES INTO THE BED. SCENE END.#Jill Leyton has incredible range as a hot butch and hot femme. Was the line bizarre? Yes. She can pull it off though.#We paused and watched it back a few times. I wasn't intending to make a crossover this obscure but honestly...#It's...it's too good of a fit to pass up. Jason's been pestering Danny about why he looks like a borderline walking corpse for ages and Danny has decided to put his lying skills to the test. (he has none)

rambling below cut

I've been playing w the idea that the more Danny transforms, the more his ghost form gets "lively" while his human form gets weaker and more sickly. He knows that if he keeps transforming like this then, one day, he's not going to have a livable body to go back to, but he really doesn't want to think about all that. He's more interested in the weird "totally dead but not dead" Wayne son who may or may not have a thing for his sister.

everytime i do one these im like "this time I'll keep it simple so I don't have to suffer through colouring bc I have zero foresight—it'll be greyscale at most" and then all of the sudden its 4am and i'm trying to finish a stupid comic but i decided to add "some" colour to spice it up and hide my shitty ink job and then SOME COLOUR ALWAYS BECOMES FULL COLOUR WHY CAN I NOT ESCAPE THIS STUPID CYCLE!!

(did this all stem from me not being able to decide between a super pale character design and one w a vibrant tan bc I love white hair + tan but I also love extremely pale albino so I forced myself to find a way to make both work? never! that's absurd!)

Congratulations My Hero Academia for providing, possibly, the biggest and longest legit straightbaiting yet in shonen history.

Bonus points that their final chapter was released on yaoi day.

#first of all absolutely no hate to izuocha #i actually really like them together romantically or not. i love their dynamic so much #but you must know just how hilarious and absurd it is #that this series started with them crushing on each other #and then ochako's attraction to deku became an important part of her character #BUT they completely turn it around and made it about #deku's meaning as a hero and being saved #and ochakos expression of love and understanding others #like. that is legit very compelling and a beautiful relationship #but they did not become A Couple. at least- nothing confirms nor denies it #just like how a queerbait relationship would be #absolutely hilarious. i honestly love how it ended like this #doesnt mean i love the ending tho. oh boy its weird and legit bad in many areas #But this?
