Progetto: parole ed immagini per la salvaguardia del dialetto romagnolo.

Finalmente vede la luce un progetto di collaborazione con il pescatore-poeta dialettale romagnolo Renato Gasperoni (detto Ghinin) per la salvaguardia del dialetto romagnolo attraverso la sinergia di parole ed immagini.

Renato Gasperoni, molto conosciuto e stimato a Bellaria Igea Marina, comune della provincia di Rimini (area locale di appartenenza), è da sempre attivo nella divulgazione e nella tutela del dialetto romagnolo, oltre che nella pratica delle tradizioni locali.

Nel dialetto indigeno con il termine “palǽda” s’intende comunemente l’ultimo tratto del porto verso il mare; l’origine probabilmente deriva dal significato di “palata” come <riparo fatto con pali, in particolare una palizzata che un tempo nei fiumi sosteneva funi o catene poste a impedire il passaggio di imbarcazioni che non avessero pagato la tassa detta palatico> [ https://www.treccani.it/vocabolario/palata2/ ]

Si specifica: quella che si indica localmente come “palǽda” di Bellaria in realtà si trova sul lato destro del fiume Uso, nel territorio di Igea Marina.

Project: words and photos for the protection of the Romagna dialect. Finally, a collaborative project with the Romagna fisherman-dialect poet Renato Gasperoni (known as Ghinin) for the preservation of the Romagna dialect through the synergy of words and images, sees the light.

Mr. Renato Gasperoni, well known and respected in Bellaria Igea Marina, a municipality in the province of Rimini (where he lives), has always been active in the dissemination and protection of the Romagna dialect, as well as in the practice of local traditions.

In the indigenous dialect, the term "palǽda" commonly means the last stretch of the port towards the sea; the origin probably derives from the meaning of "palata" as <shelter made with poles, in particular a palisade that once supported ropes or chains in rivers placed to prevent the passage of boats that had not paid the palatico tax> [ https://www.treccani.it/vocabolario/palata2/ ]

Let's specify: what we locally refer to as "palǽda" of Bellaria is actually located on the right side of the Uso river, in the territory of Igea Marina.

the breeding of doodles is not ethical— point blank.

the argument that doodle breeding should/shouldn’t exist has been a fairly recent one only coming to light as of the early 2000s, with the American Kennel Club (AKC) officially blacklisting such a breed from existing on record— rightfully so

the breeding of doodles has been, and continues to be, ethically questionable and often shady in nature. the industry itself comes from a background of backyard breeding, puppy mills, and often incessant interbreeding. unsurprisingly, the harm that has been done to these dogs has not only exposed them to have numerous physical problems (progressive retinal atrophy, otitis media, epilepsy, etc..) but long histories of mental ones as well. the term “doodle mania” describing the often zoochosis level psychopathy doodles may experience later in life.

by continuing to buy and breed such dogs, investors are unknowingly contributing to a problem that results in their dogs living a life of pain and confusion, often cutting their lifespan short when compared to other mid-sized breeds.

while many individuals in defense of this ‘breed’ may argue that owning such a dog provides a family with a hypoallergenic solution to potential health issues, this statement completely disregards other breeds that are both hypoallergenic and ethically bred such as the poodle (pictured above). additionally, those looking for a dog of similar characteristics to doodles, have no excuse in not investing in ethically bred dogs of a similar physical standard (briard, old english sheepdog, golden retriever, lagotto romagnolo pictured above).

owning a specific dog breed should never be a trend, or some sort of statement. it requires knowledge and an understanding for all aspects of the animal one intends on buying. by looking for alternative breeds to buy instead of doodles, not only are you supporting ethically bred dogs, but potentially saving another from a life of turmoil.
