💁🏿‍♂️The Flash has SO much more mythos to explore beside Flashpoint. Plenty of speedsters & allies, plenty of Rogues & other antagonists.
Tumblr media
Whether y'all know / respect them or not, they are there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their family
-could easily sustain multiple simultaneous, continuing comic titles (even if its just a main Flash title & a slice-of-life, like a speedster version of Batman: Wayne Family Adventures)
-should have multiple seasons of an animated TV show
-should have a movie trilogy by now 🤷🏿‍♂️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like...give them more! Around the world, across time, throughout the multiverse! It'd surely mean coming up w/ new Rogues & other threats beside the ones we're familiar with, but that works for me; they (and we, their fans) deserve more! 🤩

𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐔𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐖𝐍- Prologue
pairing: Cassian Andor × OC, Master!Darth Vader× Apprentice!reader, slightly Obi Wan Kenobi × reader (platonic)

Tumblr media
"It’s beautiful isn’t it?”
The words were merely a whisper, soundless awe of the horrifically beatific sight before her. The melodic whistling and singing of the gushing wind are deemed similar to the hymns sung and shared when bidding farewell, a final goodbye to the one bounded by a cold casket. And the woman took it nothing but as an act of pure mockery. An ultimate laugh from the makers above for the situation that was Scariff. The sentiments brooded until a familiar voice softened out, causing her to only turn.
"It sure is." Glimmering he kept his eyes trained on her, like how he had for the past few hours and the past many lifetimes, and how he would for many more even if it means that it would all end in a destined downfall like this. He kept his eyes trained on her, with its edges softened with the utmost adoration and love that no one could have for anyone except him for her.
Leisurely he placed his soot-covered hand atop her very own, which had pressed itself stoically upon the beachy sand. The woman wanted to laugh at the irony, the one who had created her and made her what she was today, was now going to be the one who would take it away from her. The dawn was only getting brighter, and brighter with each passing second.
But what was this dawn if not a harbinger of an eternal light that would connect paradises, but she knew. She always knew that the path to paradise always begins in hell. And Dawn's hell for her upcoming paradise began a decade back or so.
"Let go Dawn!" the Jedi's desperate calls echoed through the crumbling and smoky opening of the Cavern. But all the teen could see was a dusty and distant silhouette of the sizzling lightsaber, and the equally distant tensed stature of her friends, the Jedi, and the kid.
She could hear the cluttering and heaving of her breath throughout her ears' entirety. It all seemed so distant. Seemed so distant. The audio of her breath cascaded with that of a now forming shrilled ringing, which only tunneled all sorts of auditory senses furthermore. The Jedi and her friend had kept calling, yelling for her, but she couldn't move, the bend of her covered knees had glued itself to the debauched mixture of plasma and sand that covered most of the hardened floor, and her heart was pounding with a rhythmic beat, which seemed eerily similar to the rhythmic and rather mechanical hisses which breath from the Sith's mask.
Fury had engulfed him whole. Not only did they underestimate his former master, but they had also left him with a lightsaber and now he was gone. His cloak swished with the vigor of his metallic steps and in no time, he force opened the exit, which caused a domino effect on the next one too.
Pure wrath flooded the flowing blood and mechanic bolts of the sith lord, as without wasting any time he forwarded his hand to the flying cruiser, and without wasting any more further time the transport froze haltingly in the muck-tainted atmosphere.
Continuing his rhythmic mechanical hisses, once what was the living being of Anakin Skywalker, forwarded a leg to regain more power and at the same time, get a more grounded stance on the cracked ground.
The cruiser was almost down, succumbing to its merciless controller until it wasn't.
There was a change of force.
There faltered a dramatic stop in Vader's breath. He could feel an equivalent powerful life force nearby, only it was that of pure light, the one that contradicted his to a high extent, but the force and strength were equivalent to his nonetheless. Utterly stunned, the dark lord turned his head behind him.
Only for it to fall upon a kid, a mere teenager with a beskar-kyber blended necklet. A mere teenager whose wild brown mane flew outwards due to the sheer pressure the freighter was blowing. A mere teenager with ominous pair of brown eyes, who had her hand extended towards the ship, trying to bring it down.
She let out a loudened shriek, the pitch and pure rawness of her tone could shatter any glasses nearby.
He almost let go, wanting to know to what extent the kid's power might go, but at the same time he wanted the head of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Keeping his amused gaze trained on the girl, with a simple falling of his hand, the freighter thudded down to the ground, and the kid remained unfazed, stoic, and even a little bit threatening.
Vader didn't care how the transport he just brought down was a decoy, or the fact that the actual, passenger-filled ship was now fleeing through the bay doors, his attention and pure amusement being towards the teen.
"Lord Vader." One of the generals rushed, his hand clutching his shoulder, three to four stormtroopers on either of his sides. Having caught and noticed that the force-sensitive child they had picked up from Lahmu was force-sensitive, the general didn't waste his time in signaling his troopers to kill the said child.
Whatever confidence or fury Dawn had soon started dying down when she saw the numerous blasters being pointed in her direction. Unknitting the angered crease of her eyebrows, Dawn faltered a step back. The contorted features of her face smoothening to that of a fearful worried one. All the breath from her lungs seemed to be punched out as she soon became a panting mess, each ounce of air that she took in felt far too precious seeing that she was facing her inevitable death, at the hands of the Empire, because she showed off the one thing her father had begged her to never show anyone, an Imp nonetheless.
Accepting the dreary fate of death that now felt carved in her life, Dawn closed her eyes, bending her head down to not see what they were to do with her.
A blaster went off.
But as if on cue, at the same time, there sizzled the commotion of a lightsaber igniting. And the red hues of the blaster shot soon were blocked by the equally reddened laser of the kyber.
With furrowed brows, Dawn squint her eyes open, only for them to catch the view of the sith-lord right in front of her, with his back faced to her, as he deflected and reflected all the shots, protecting her nonetheless.
Still bearing a protective stance, Darth Vader turned to Dawn—who was currently fearfully glancing at the troopers who were now writhing on the ground.
Taking a few necessary steps towards the child, he forwarded a hand, "Come with me, more will be here soon."

How do you feel about "character joins bloodclan" aus? Im curious about ur thoughts since youre really in tune with the themes of the series but personally i just hate them bc its ALWAYS aimed at 'unfortunate' characters and always ALWAYS ignores the fact that bloodclan is a horrible place in-canon and that they're just reflavoring the abuse and trauma the characters qent through to be more emo or goth themed.
Ravenpaw is ALWAYS a prime target for this and its like. Great. You took the character being abused by their mentor figure and is being harmed from the violent culture the clan has generated... and giving them an EMO mentor figure who will inevitably abuse them and harm them as a result of the violent culture the emo clan has generated. Sasha is another one I've noticed- you've put the woman who lost her kit and is struggling to survive with the others while being controlled and abused by someone who sees her as an outsider (aka alone and easy to isolate), and are gonna put her in a faction who specifically separates kin from one another to easily control them and who have canonically tried murdering those who stick with their family. What was gained here.
Like i know bloodclan is revamped in ur au (thank god for it) but in canon bloodclan is HORRIBLE. People ignore that in favor of putting their favs into bloodclan bc bloodclan is cool and killed tigerstar that one time bc of revenge. Ravenpaw becomes Scourge AUS are SO SO SO much worse bc of this too- sure you manage to point out how scourge and raven has roughly similar stories in their youth but you could also do something interesting and make an au where raven and scourge are FOILS and do a firestar/scourge thing, while pointing this comparison out!! Instead you just went "Ravenpaw emo now and is sad about beating up Firestar his friend" and basically kept everything the same.
Sorry im basically venting here but i just dont like how people forget that scourge in canon does NOT look out for the 'little guy', he's a murderer and abuser who wants to keep his subjects afraid and separated so that he alone has power over them. Bloodclan is not the cool strong goth group, its the group where two cats slaughter eachother over a piece of twoleg scraps, only for the survivor to die bc the food was poisonous to cats and no one knew bc theres no cohesive group that can pass that knowledge around. its a fucking horrible place to live. Im not saying that you cant do interesting "character in bloodclan" aus (a Rusty who lives in bloodclan who STILL wants to do good but is shaped by the horrid reality of bloodclan would be fun imo) but its so often used with already traumatized characters as a 'solution' or 'fix-it with some emotional issues involved' that i just foam at the mouth and howl like a rabid animal on principle at this point.
Hmm... I think for me, it doesn't tend to read that way for me when the fandom makes AUs for it. I'm coming at BloodClan from a point of really deep critique and frustration.
BloodClan's not a REAL place, and what that means is, every speck of how horrible it was is a choice the writers made to justify its treatment. It was something they actively decided, because, BloodClan was a tool to suddenly invalidate the previous 5 books of TPB so that the series could comfortably conclude there was no need to upset the status quo.
If you haven't read it before, I recommend this post I made on how Darkest Hour Is A Personal Disappointment, but anyway;
We spend a whole series on how Fireheart challenges a broken society, because he is different. Their xenophobia, how isolationism and glory get people killed, the way that Tigerstar's greatest asset is how respected he is... these are bad things. They're things that Fireheart fights for several books.
But then, in the LAST book, in the 11th inning, they introduce BloodClan. They're just evil. They have no nuance. The narrative bends over backwards to stress that this group of evil foreigners LOVES murder, hates friendship, and doesn't believe in our good god.
Suddenly, the Clan cats have to be EXTRA xenophobic and glorious to kill these filthy, murderous foreign hordes. Clan cat belief in their good god makes them stronger than the bloodthirsty barbarians. Firestar kills Scourge and we can feel happy and triumphant about it, when Tigerstar was killed a few chapters ago and given a tragic sendoff.
So, I encourage you to step back from an emotional response to how Filthy and Murderous this group was portrayed, and look at it as a writing choice.
When Tigerstar, known cat-racist and murderer of mixed-race people, is killed by Scourge in self-defense, he is grieved by Firestar and commended for his "good qualities". (and then they retconned in that it was actually secretly revenge all along, not just self defense, so this killing is extra evil)
When Scourge is killed, Firestar just thinks about how it's cool he's not going to heaven, and how all of the previously ferocious BloodClan warriors look so inferior to the forest Clans.
And so, with all that said,
I'm 100% in favor of how the fandom widely looks at this, says, "fuck that" and just makes them the Cool Goth Group. I'd argue pretty strongly that the least nuanced idea of that is still infinitely better than canon.
There was nothing there. It was literally just Xenophobia-Is-JustifiedClan. They literally hated love and friendship and banned families so that Clan cats would look good in comparison. Banned families. You don't get this level of stupid evil from anything else but an 80s cartoon.
Maybe I just don't see the AUs you tend to see (I curate my Tumblr experience very well and generally hang out in more adult-oriented spaces, I can imagine a place like Amino being mostly kids who tend to be immature. Edgelord Angstpiddle is just a normal part of growing up), but every project I see that gives me a glimpse of BloodClan Ravenpaws and Sashas come with such tweaks already assumed.
Like, these are examples I've seen,
They'll have Raven be involved with the formation of BloodClan
Scourge will actually be a character with some pity and mercy, like how he was in Rise of Scourge when his abusive siblings begged him for food, and he fed them before sending them away.
no ban on love and friendship. Lol. Lmao, even.
More of the social structure will be based around acquiring food for people in a 'harsh' environment, leading to that battle, instead of just Evil Foreign Greed (which canon!scourge only had after being almost killed by tigerstar, because he said "actually, in light of new information that you are a murderer, i need to reconsider our deal.")
BloodClan will be overhauled completely. I've seen this a few ways. Connecting them to SkyClan, or the Oakstar raids on Chelford, or even as a positive entity; a surprise ally. (VERY common with BloodClan Ravenpaw AUs I've seen).
Anyways... (Shrug), I dunno dude, it doesn't bother me that much.

Hi, I started playing Rogue Trader after getting into the Warhammer setting with Space Marine. I knew it from before, but not in an involved way, but through memes and general nerdy knowledge and stuff. I played Space Marine to decide if I could handle the edginess of the setting and I found gold: a no though only slaughter hack n slash with a nice story and really fun. I got interested in knowing more, so I got Rogue Trader. And Dawn of War, because I missed some strategy games in my life.
I've been sleeping poorly the last week and I have 58 hours since I bought it the next to last day of summer sales in Steam (and 15 in Dawn of War), while still in chapter 2. I also started reading Mark of Faith, one of the Adepta Sororitas novels, downloaded the rest and the whole bunch of Primarch and Horus Heresy novels.
I've found a new special interest near my scheduled middle age crisis ;o; help me
Now I'm seriously considering checking the wargame. And I started reading the core books for Warhammer Fantasy and Imperium Maledictum, to run campaigns in the Old World and the Imperium ;-; what have I done

The Starr Siblings: Shadow of a Father (TUGS AU)
Tumblr media
I've seen a lot of new TUGS OC posts on Tumblr recently, which inspired me to make this post.
For anyone new to the Tugs portion of my AU, I should add the following catch-up:
Ten Cents, Warrior, Hercules, Sunshine, and his twin sister (my OC inspired by Salty's Lighthouse) Aurora are the five grandchildren of Captain Starr. They are the children of Captain Starr's adopted daughters: Silver Penny (Hercules Warrior and Ten Cents' mother) and Bright Dawn (Sunshine and Aurora's mother). This would make the twins the cousins of the older three, were it not for the fact that all five have the same father - Theseus Oleander.
I want to give Theseus a proper introduction once I have gotten through the other characters in my AU, as he is set to be the 'Big Bad' for the entire story, above the Z-Stacks, Bluenose, Burke & Blair, and even Johnny Cuba. But his presence is still very much felt within Bigg City, particularly by his five children, none of whom share his surname.
WARNING: MENTIONS OF PARENTAL ABUSE/NEGLECT, AND CHILDHOOD TRAUMAS UNDER THE CUT
Hercules:
As the oldest, Hercules was eleven when his father disappeared out of his life. Since then, he has witnessed the aftermath of his father's actions, from his mother's breakdown, to his younger brother being sent to live with his godparents for a year, to seeing the long-term impact his father's second disappearance had on his aunt and half-siblings/cousins.
The impact on Hercules, however, has been far from insignificant. For reasons known only to himself, Theseus found his eldest son to be a disappointment (read: I haven't completely decided why yet) and was emotionally abusive as a result. Hercules suffers from very severe self-esteem issues, which he hides from all but a few people, and even unwittingly handed out the same kind of abuses to Warrior as a teenager. In recent years, he has been working on these and has made amends with Warrior, but some scars can not heal, and he still struggles with becoming over-attached to his remaining and new male role models. He remembers his father with a toxic mixture of hatred and a strange kind of desire for the father he always wanted.
Ajax/Warrior:
Born eight years after Hercules, Warrior - then called Ajax - was only three when his father left and, as such, has rather fuzzy memories of him. But his initial memories of his father were much happier than Hercules', as Theseus favoured his second son heavily and turned him into a spoiled brat. But little Ajax's world was turned upside down when his father left, leaving him helpless as the image of his father and his teachings were torn apart before his eyes. Luckily, Ajax's godparents - Big Mac and Top Hat - did a lot of work to correct his behaviours and provided him with a vital source of stability that set him right, but he still suffered from the emotional abuse that his older brother unknowingly subjected him to throughout his teens. Ajax - who now goes by his middle name of Warrior - suffers from his own self-esteem issues and a deep-seated fear of being rejected by his remaining family. However, he is probably the most open, accepting, and kindest of the siblings.
Having grown up witnessing the aftermath of his father's presence and learning of the pain his mother, aunt, and two of his brothers experienced as a result of his father, Warrior feels a raw and implacable hatred for his father and has struggled to find any peace or forgiveness for the man.
Ten Cents:
Conceived days before his father's disappearance, Ten Cents is the only sibling whose life is directly untouched by Theseus' influences and was given the surname Starr at birth. Though he grew up without a father, Ten Cents was never short of strong male influences: his grandfather, O.J, Big Mac, Top Hat (though Ten Cents will jokingly deny this one) and later his older brothers and Uncle Patch (Sea Rogue). Therefore, he has always claimed that he never felt the need for a father.
But Ten Cents' largely happy childhood came with the price of his ignorance. Despite their fractured relationship, Hercules and Warrior shielded their baby brother from the worst of it, and his family never told him about his father. So Ten Cents grew up in a protected little bubble under the careful gaze of his family and fleet. Frequently, he has wondered about his father and how it would be to meet him. This would make him the most vulnerable if Theseus would ever return, although Theseus - despite having a paid pair of 'eyes' in the port - has no idea that Silver Penny gave him a third son.
Sunshine and Aurora:
The twins are the result of an affair between Theseus Oleander and his sister-in-law, Bright Dawn Starr. After tricking her with lies and convincing her to run away with him to Newcastle, Bright Dawn fell pregnant with and gave birth to the twins. Despite finally having a long-awaited daughter, Theseus disappeared from the twins' lives when they were less than a week old. But unlike Ten Cents, Sunshine and Aurora didn't have an extended family to protect them and were raised by their mother alone. But Bright Dawn, whose mental health had been deteriorating long before Theseus got to her, was far from a competent mother and would punish the twins for any transgressions (real or imagined) with violence. Aggravated by bullying and abuse for being fatherless outside the home, the twins learned that they only had one another for support and grew up overly dependent on one another, appearing more hardened and older than they should have been.
The twins lot improved when a series of incidents and misfortunes led them to the Starr fleet, eventually reuniting them with their family and finally being able to have a relationship with their mother when she got some help. They even got a new father figure when Bright Dawn reunited with and married her childhood sweetheart, Patrick "Sea Rogue" Teach. They quickly decided to take their stepfathers name once he proved to be the father they needed.
The twins, much like Warrior, hold their biological father in contempt for what he did to their mother and for willingly abandoning them to a childhood of misery and abuse. Sunshine, in particular, holds the most resentment, as the years of abuse he suffered while trying to protect his sister left physical, mental, and emotional scars that only became fully apparent once they were settled and happy. For this, Aurora will throw the blame squarely at Theseus' absent feet.
