I was wrong lol there were more than two more pages of Krennic.

Turns out I can not, in fact, no-life a game.
It's too exhausting.
But I did get a good 7 hours in with Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail.
It was mostly just spent exploring Viper (so stop reading here if you don't want to know anything about the job), but it was a compelling time because this is the first occasion I've been able to pick up a job before all of the guides and optimization has been fully figured out (as far as I know).
I think it's fun mostly because it *feels* fast and you get a gap closer (with which you can target players as well as enemies) fairly early on (level 40). So even earlier content is a lil bit better movement-wise.
It's a class that has one-button combos as a building block, which I think is pretty interesting, but it also has your buttons almost always light up, which kind of just tells you what to do, potentially taking away most thinking or maybe any thinking at all?
Which could end up becoming boring?
I actually am curious about the "best way" to play because there are several combo strings and buffs and debuffs to consider and the detail of those specifics and using the right combo at the right time could potentially give the class a pretty neat identity. Sort of like a physical melee Bard.
Time with the class will tell how much I end up liking it in terms of gameplay.
What I can say for certain is that I love the aesthetic of Viper. I knew this the moment it was revealed, but picking it up and looking at it, I even like the starting gear for it.
So I will stick with it just for it being my style visually.
I love the aesthetic of dual-wielding swords and (double-bladed) staffs and Viper is both combined.
A potential criticism of Viper is that it is "too similar" to Ninja. I can't comment on the actual job design because I haven't played Ninja and ultimately comparatively little of Viper while not understanding it fully, but I think the fact that Viper's weapons combine into a staff and the focus is on kind of switching between heavier and lighter attacks between two weapon styles makes it distinct enough aesthetically, at least.
Ninja also more specifically has "daggers" as weapons rather than "swords".
Both very clearly share very obvious similar characteristics, but end up still being distinct enough because well, a ninja is very different from a hunter even if they share similarities.
And the very specific Ninja aesthetic isn't my style.
I think if Viper didn't happen, I eventually would've picked up Ninja and tried to make a rogueish glamour for it because ever since I saw the class, I wished it was possible to stay a Rogue post level 30.
And I think Viper is basically that, which is also kind of one of my favourite aesthetics in media in general.
Tl; dr So far, Viper is my jam.

The Ultimate Guide to Mobile Windscreen Repair Solutions
Introduction to Windscreen Damage Woes
Picture this: you're cruising down the highway, the wind in your hair, music blaring, when suddenly a rogue pebble catapults into your windscreen, leaving an unsightly chip. It’s a scenario all too familiar for drivers everywhere. Windscreen damage, whether a small chip or a sprawling crack, is more than just a cosmetic flaw—it’s a safety hazard that demands attention. Fortunately, advancements in automotive care have given rise to a convenient solution:  mobile windscreen repair.  This innovative service brings the fix to you, saving time and hassle while ensuring your vehicle remains roadworthy. In this article, we’ll explore the ins and outs of mobile windscreen repair, why it’s a game-changer, and how it addresses common issues like chip repair.
Understanding Windscreen Chips and Cracks
Windscreen damage comes in many forms, but chips are among the most common culprits. A chip might seem insignificant at first glance—a tiny divot caused by gravel or debris—but it can quickly escalate. Temperature changes, road vibrations, and even a bumpy pothole can turn a minor imperfection into a full-blown crack. That’s where chip repair comes into play. This process targets small damages, typically less than the size of a coin, sealing them before they spread. Unlike cracks that often require a full replacement, chip repair is a cost-effective and efficient fix. The beauty of mobile windscreen repair lies in its ability to tackle these issues on the spot, preventing further deterioration without the need to visit a garage.
The Rise of Mobile Windscreen Repair Services
In today’s fast-paced world, convenience is king. Enter mobile windscreen repair, a service designed to meet drivers where they are—be it at home, work, or even stranded on the roadside. Gone are the days of scheduling a shop visit and rearranging your day around it. Technicians equipped with specialized tools and resins arrive at your location, ready to restore your windscreen to its former glory. This service isn’t just about ease; it’s about efficiency. Most chip repairs take less than an hour, meaning you’re back on the road with minimal disruption. The mobility factor also appeals to those in rural areas or busy urban centers where traditional repair shops might be out of reach or overcrowded.
How Chip Repair Works Its Magic
The process of chip repair is a blend of science and skill. When a technician arrives for a mobile windscreen repair, they begin by assessing the damage. If the chip is small and hasn’t spread, they clean the area to remove dirt and moisture. Next, a special resin is injected into the chip under pressure, filling the void and bonding with the glass. This resin hardens—often with the help of UV light—creating a seamless seal that restores structural integrity and clarity. The result? A windscreen that’s not only safe but also visually improved, with the chip barely noticeable. This quick, precise method underscores why mobile windscreen repair is a go-to for minor damages.
Benefits Beyond Convenience
While the on-the-go nature of mobile windscreen repair is a major draw, the advantages don’t stop there. For one, addressing a chip early through chip repair can save you from the hefty cost of a full windscreen replacement down the line. It’s also an environmentally friendly choice—repairing rather than replacing reduces waste and the demand for new glass production. Safety is another key perk. A compromised windscreen weakens your vehicle’s structural support and impairs visibility, especially in harsh weather. By opting for mobile windscreen repair, you’re proactively protecting yourself and others on the road. Plus, many insurance policies cover chip repairs with little to no out-of-pocket expense, making it a financially savvy move.
When to Call for Mobile Windscreen Repair
Timing is critical when it comes to windscreen damage. The moment you spot a chip, it’s wise to arrange for mobile windscreen repair. Delaying can allow the damage to worsen, turning a simple chip repair into a more complex—and costly—problem. Look out for chips near the edges of the windscreen, as these are more prone to spreading due to stress points. Likewise, if the damage obstructs your line of sight, don’t hesitate to act. Mobile services are designed for urgency, often offering same-day appointments to nip the issue in the bud. The sooner you address it, the better your chances of a successful repair.
The Future of Windscreen Maintenance
As technology evolves, so does the world of  chip repair  and mobile windscreen repair. Innovations like advanced resins and automated tools are making repairs faster and more durable. Some experts even predict a future where mobile units could use AI to assess damage on-site, ensuring pinpoint accuracy. For now, the human touch remains essential, with skilled technicians leading the charge. What’s clear is that mobile windscreen repair is here to stay, offering a blend of practicality and performance that resonates with modern drivers. Whether you’re dealing with a pesky chip or simply want peace of mind, this service delivers a solution tailored to your needs.

Jyn Erso Appreciation Week - Free day
Liana Hallik. Tanith Ponta. Kestrel Dawn. A cloud of aliases surrounds Jyn Erso, to the extent that hearing her true name for the first time in years gives her pause. She has spent half her life burying a past of grief and abandonment, paving it over with a steely resilience and recklessness. She has little purpose other than surviving. Doing so often puts the Empire on the receiving end of her violence, but her attacks are not political.

hi again, lumi!
i’m interested in learning about about other force traditions (both in current canon and eu/legends), the history of the nightsisters/dathomir, and any magic/abilities outside of or antithetical to the force in eu/legends/etc.
i know this is technically three big questions rolled into one, so don’t feel obligated to answer haha, but any guidance you have is appreciated!
Hi again! Ohhhh, I fear this is going to be the most unsatisfying answer ever. Because there is--simultaneously--both a ton of information about other Force traditions and almost nothing about other Force traditions. For a long time, other Force-traditions were only kind of hinted in the canon.  I have a post here that collected together what we knew up until about three years ago, but aside from groups like the Sith or the Nightsisters (neither of which had much worldbuilding to them beyond bits and pieces), they were mostly just mentioned as existing or we’re shown flashy lights without any true explanation like the Lasats from Rebels showing the way to Lira San or that we know the Bardottens connected to the Force passively, but we don’t really see much beyond that. There are some books that touch on Sith traditions--like Secrets of the Sith (2021 by Marc Sumerak)--but even they’re fairly thin.  The Nightsisters you’re probably better off reading the Wookieepedia article (as always, take any secondhand sources with a grain of salt, including my own posting about things! we try to be accurate in our retellings, but it’s never the same as reading the source material for yourself) than asking me, because I’ve never delved into them much. THAT SAID, the High Republic is actually starting to really get into it with Phase II and expanding on that part of the galaxy.  None of them delve terribly deeply into what the Force-traditions are, but you’re introduced to a great many groups, especially those that gather on Jedha, including the Convocation of the Force which was a council that gathered to promote connections between various Force traditions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During the time of the High Republic, they don’t exactly get along very well, there’s a lot of tension and fighting, but we’ll see where all of this is going. There’s also the group the Path of the Open Hand, which first appeared in the novel Path of Deceit and they’ll play a major (antagonistic) role across the bigger arc of this phase, and they’ll show up in more books and comics, though, basically their belief is:  The Force does not want to be used, anyone who uses it, even to help someone, is taking it away from somewhere else, so if you save one person here, another person dies somewhere else to balance it.  So they’re not exactly going to get along great with the Jedi. My best suggestions for Force-traditions to look into would be: - Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide which has an entire section on the various religions that are connected to Jedha - Path of Deceit which is where we first meet the Path of the Open Hand and is a really interesting contrast of what a Force cult actually looks like versus the Jedi who very much are not a cult - Star Wars: The High Republic (2022) ongoing comic which is where the above panels are from.  It’s only four issues right now and only lightly describes each group, but you’ll get a sense of how the various Force religions interact with each other at the time. - The High Republic: The Battle of Jedha which is an audiodrama (possibly best listened to after Convergence? idk, I haven’t read it yet, but if you want the best experience Path of Deceit --> Convergence --> Battle of Jedha seems to be the way to go) about the Festival of Balance on Jedha, including many varied Force religions.

He is surprised, though, when that stranger starts jumping up and down and waving and screaming back. Usually if Dirk attracts someone’s attention, they stare at him like a crazy person, unless he asks if they’ve experienced accelerated strangeness or maybe their goat has gone missing, or maybe if they’re gained a goat, and then they’re usually a surprise client.
(Dirk and the Doctor excitably run into each other on the street.)

Hmmmm, has anywhere in the movies/shows confirmed his age? Feels like the show isn't trying to say he's 21ish specifically
he was 26 in rogue one its not really rogue one's fault that diego luna is in his 40s lol (source: Rogue One Ultimate Visual Guide, and also the Star Wars Encyclopedia says he was born in 26 BBY)
but i will say i think the show is being kind of inconsistent with his age lol this is something im going to handwave away or i can age jyn up, her being 21 in rogue one is weird af since iirc felicity was like late 20s at the minimum and diego was 36 or 37 i can't remember
anyway please films and tv shows let heroes be in their 30s we're very hot and cool and nice people at this age

Rewachting Rogue One, I feel like the star wars movies have so much more depth to them than the TV shows. But I don't think it's just because even a prestige TV show budget means you can't put as much into costuming extras. Since I've already seen the movie/read the novelization so many times, I spent a lot of the movie watching the extras instead. Movies get visual dictionaries, that's how you get the star wars thing of random extras having names and backstories. They also get novelizations, which add more nuance to character motivation.
The TV shows get nothing like that, and I think there's actually a memorandum against any media that would expand upon the shows so that the showrunners don't have to play nice with others (which is better than them being contradicted). There was going to be a Mandalorian ultimate guide and a tie in novel, but they both got canceled. But without stuff like that, for people like me, the TV shows lack the depth I love about the movies.
