I recently wore my Wavemother’s Robe cosplay to Fan Expo Chicago!

There was this lovely area in a hallway that I managed to take photos in. It was a busy crossing point, so we had 30 seconds to get the shot.

Wavemother’s Robe cosplay from Baldur’s Gate 3

I spent wayyyyyy longer on this costume than I planned, but I’m so happy with how it turned out! I patterned and made every piece myself, except for the sandals. I also styled the wig (adding beachy waves and braids.)

Hey I was wondering if it was okay for me to ask about how you sewed the torso part of the Carja Stalker Elite Cosplay you did a while back. I'm working on mine and it's coming along nicely. The problem is that I had to do the long-sleeved purple undershirt again because I couldn't get the pattern right when it came to sewing around the stomach area.

If it's okay, could I get maybe a tip on how you did it?

P.S I have no deadline for this cosplay as there are no cons in my area to go to. Plus I just really want to wear it because it looks cozy!

Of course! I’m totally happy to answer any questions about how I make my costumes.

I actually had someone ask me about the chevron seams a while ago and drew up some instructions. There are two possible ways to do this:

The first is to “wing it” (but with a plan). This is the way I made my shirt. It worked for me, but is imprecise. I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re using a fabric with little to no stretch.

The second way is to plan it in your initial pattern. This wastes less fabric and will likely create a more precisely fitting shirt.

Oblivion has the weirdest aesthetic choices going on. Everything is super bright and saturated, the characters look silly and almost bordering on cartoonish, and the voice acting and delivery tends to be pretty silly. The whole things has such a strong classic fantasy vibe compared to the other tes games, but also there's a bunch of realistic gore and rotting corpses and really dark questlines with gross visuals (for the quality of those visuals). it's such a weird game.

I spent the past week and a half working on this little gal and I love her so much 🥹 Here’s my Stuffed Owlbear Toy from Baldur’s Gate 3!

I wanted to be as accurate as possible (within reason) so this became a very mixed-media project. Materials include:

• Acrylic yarn

• Cotton stuffing

• Plush knit fabric

• Leather scraps

• Blue cotton thread

• Various polyester thread

• Brass screw-back studs

• Worbla

• PlaidFX acrylic paints

• ‘Complicated Knots’ crochet pattern

I haven’t picked a name yet, but she is already one of my favorite cosplay projects ever ❤️ I carried the in-game item with me throughout half my first playthrough and now I can in real life too 😂

I am so so excited 😭 This weekend I competed in the Fan Expo Chicago Craftsmanship Cup and ended up winning Best Masters!

Aloy is one of my absolute favorite characters and I love wearing this costume <3 The eye makeup ended up being kinda creepy but in a good way! This is the stalker outfit after all.

Berserker Hunter Bow from Horizon Forbidden West

Ahhhh!!! It’s done! I love how much this looks like a creepy spine. The Quen armor and weapons are SO GOOD ✨ 

I learned so many new skills for this and honestly it’s some of my best work ever. It may not look that complex but I spent a good 78 hours building it 🥲 Working with acrylic pipe, resin casting, foam, 3D modeling, fabric manipulation, and magnets!

This is also the first time I made a prop that breaks down into smaller pieces even though I planned to do it in the past multiple times 😂 Over time I’ve gained a lot of patience and foresight into planning my builds.

This weekend I got to be part of the Crown Championships of Cosplay competition at C2E2 and it's one of the absolute coolest experiences I've ever had!

Wearing my Carja Stalker Elite Aloy cosplay here was a dream. So many hours of work and it was so worth it!
