Howâd they react to you calling them bro or dude whilst in a pre-established relationshipâŚ(platonic/romantic)
Dick: heâs insulted.
Gutted.
He will try to give you the silent treatment for such a shameful thing but ultimately fails as he ends up being the one pawing at you for attention.
âDo you still like me? Or did you just run out of cute nicknames to call me?â Heâd say one night as your both cuddling in bed together. âIf itâs the later then I can help you find something, just please spare me and donât call me dude or bro anymore.â
Heâd rather you call him Richard-wait, no he hates that even more because to him youâre not meant to use his fully name, only cutesy nicknames thatâd make a grown man sick to his stomach. Nothing else would suffice other than Dickie bird, handsome, babe, hunk, honeybun or anything that wasnât his name.
Heâs go mad or would act delusional and say that everything was fine when everyone could tell that it wasnât. People who know him have personally came to you and begged you to stop calling him dude/bro because he kept talking their ears off about how his beloved partner is torturing him, which ends up torturing them even more upon hearing about his relationship issues.
Dick would even consult Hayley on what he did wrong, only for Hayley to look at him with those big, big eyes of hers. This was not her level of expertise unfortunately. (Head empty, no thoughts. She canât do her abcâs guys itâs a real tragedy.)
Jason: âI just had my tongue down your throat just now and you had to go and ruin the mood by calling me bro. What the fuck.â - Jason at some point.
Itâs a whole mood killer for him to be honest.
Heâs calling you things like chipmunk or sweetheart but here you were calling him dude and bro. He knows for a fact that heâs well and truly out of the friend zone because the shit youâve done together isnât platonic in any sort of way.
Thinks Roy had set you up to call him dude or bro behind his back. (He hasnât)
Jason is petty and will get his own back by referring you as âjust a really good friendâ, âbuddy oâ mineâ or even worse than both of those; âchum.â đ
When you go low, Jason was more then willing to go to the depths of fucking hell to the point it had become a game to see whoâd call out just how stupid this all was, and at the both of you for ever thinking that this was an excellent idea in the first place.
Youâll probs get punishedâŚIâm just going to leave it there and let your minds guess what that âpunishmentâ was exactly.
Damian:
As much as Damian hates it when you call him Dami, he hates it when you call him dude or bro even more, if thatâs even possible.
Damian hates it when you call him dude or bro. Heâs not your dude or bro, heâs your partner and he expects no less then darling, my heart or my beloved.
So you calling him dude or bro is more than enough reason for him to give you the silent treatment.
âUntil you learn that I am your partner, I wonât want to be anywhere near you if youâre going to keep calling me your bro or dude. It is a disservice to who I actually am to you.â He says with a huff and beckons Titus to follow, only for the Great Dane to be left confused as to why his human parents were at a disagreement over something silly.
Also Titus, Ace, Jerry, Alfred the cat, Goliath and BatCow are children of divorce because I said so.
So itâs bests that you apologise while you still can because Damian can hold a grudge unlike any other. Even if you didnât, youâd still crack first before Damian and quickly put an end to calling him dude/bro.
He just thinks being called a dude/bro when in a pre-established relationship is an insult.
He can take a joke but not when itâs aimed at his relationship. Heâs well and truly devoted to his relationship -if weâre to completely ignore the whole being Robin thing- that it might as well be an insult towards him too at this point.

Triple Identity Crisis
Danny had a problem. If it was a big one, he couldn't tell yet but he was partially sure Clockwork was at fault for this. Or at least he wanted to blame his ghostly godparent who most likely just wanted to cause some chaos for entertainment with the pretext of helping Danny. Which was a very likely reason for why Danny had a problem right now.
As it was the former Fenton now Fenton-Wayne boy was pacing his room in the Manor trying to think what is next step should be, because as it was his 'new' family âDid new still apply if he was living with them for a little more than a year now? â knew him under three different Identities now. And to top it all off they were not aware that the three identities were all pretty much connected as one.
For one. His family, knew him as Danny, the space obsessed kid, who became a meta because of his ectobiology science obsessed parents and his teenager recklessness. A kid that was actually a genius if you gave him enough time for school and could make you anything out of a ancients be damed toaster. That was the Danny they mainly knew. The Kid they took in, let in on the family business and then chose, to the happiness of Alfred and dismay of some of his 'new' siblings, normal life over vigilante life.
Then they knew Phantom. A dead ghost hero that was helping the Justice League and Young Justice to help them deal with the aftermath of the huge fallout caused by the GIW, Guys in White or rather Ghost Investigation Ward. And while Danny didn't know he had apparently worked with nearly his entire family and that time he knew it now. Which was awkward because he had pretty much pestered one of his elder brothers about his condition until Red Hood, aka Jason, let Phantom help him. Ancient, things might get awkward if that secret is lifted. He had done a lot of things Batman, Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, Orphan and Robin had scowled him for. Thankfully they only thought of him as a dead teen hero and didn't know what a Halfa was. So they didn't make the connection, and he had yet to meet Signal, aka Duke as Phantom.
Now came the third identity, which totally did not happen by his choice. After all officially he hadn't accepted the throne yet and would only get it once he was dead dead not half dead. To bad ancient texts don't care about formalities. So when trouble hit the fan really hard the Justice League Dark had the bright Idea of getting some other worldly help. Which in other words was summoning the Ghost King. Oh boy, was it fun to learn that way that Danny could get summoned against his will. Clockwork did not give him that warning when he told him about the future of his afterlife. But best of all? Oh he doesn't get summoned as Phantom which would have made things maybe a bit easier, oh no. Life wasn't easy. He got someone's in some as a super weird black-green mass of a formless eltrich body with sharp teeth, claws and glowing green eyes with no pupils or irises. Hell Danny even scared himself when he saw his own reflection in a window and he didn't have a single idea how to change his form.
Let it be known that Danny acted then on purpose like he didn't know a single person in that room he had been summoned in right out of his bed and that he wasn't staring at his adoptive father like he needed help who interpreted his stare as the ghost king sizing him up. And Danny knows this because Dick had a good laugh about that at the dinner table with the rest of his siblings.
Now a smart person would probably come clean to his family and explain to them the three identities they knew him under and how they are connected.
To bad Danny wasn't 'smart' when it came to things like that. No in his panic and newfound awkwardness of the situation of what he had done on separate occasions with his identity as Phantom AND Ghost King, he decided to keep acting like he didn't knew them personally like the truely does. Really how hard could that be? Besides he liked the way his family treated him now. He didn't want to get treated differently because he was half dead, or a Ghost King. He liked that his family was treating him as plain old Danny who had an obsession with space and was their quirkily little brother with powers.
So that gave him even more incentive to keep the act up. Even if it was hard at times, especially if he got summoned out of nowhere. It would be easier if he could get a hang of the duplication power. He even had played with the thought of getting one of his ghost rogues to help but his family was perceptive. Maybe not perceptive enough to realise that all three identities were one and the same person but they would notice if Danny acted just slightly different or if Phantom was more of then usually. But somehow he still managed to keep it up.
But it was the hard way that he learned, Danny was bad at doing the 'talking' and realized that maybe Jazz was right and he was going to slip up one day causing huge misunderstandings like right now.
He stared down at Batman and Nightwing in his Ghost King form. Red Hood had his guns pulled on him, Wonder Woman and Superman looked like they where going to try to pull back Batman any second now while Nightwing, maybe at first was going to try to calm down the bat but Danny was pretty sure the eldest bat kid was now fiercely glaring at him too. He was also pretty sure the only reason he didn't see Red Robin or Robin threaten him too was because their super friends were somehow holding them back. For their own or his safety he doesn't know at the moment.
Because apparently the Bats did not fear fighting otherworldly beings to protect one of their own.
"What did you just say about Danny Fentons death?!" Batman grunted out and Danny just knew his adoptive father was glaring at him. Ancients Danny cursed his brain to mouth filter right now. As he had the collective hero scene before him staring at his Ghost King form. Would this be a good or bad moment to come completely clean or maybe he should find some kind of philosophical bullshit of 'All things death belong to him'....

fixer upper
A/N: IM ACTUALLY SO EMBARASSED TO ADMIT THIS IS BASED ON âFIXER UPPERâ FROM FROZEN đđđ does that mean it counts as a song ficâŚâŚ.. (gif creds: @buckysbarnes)
Pairing: Steve Harrington x Fem!Reader (Season 3)
Summary: The kids arenât saying you can change him, per se. Theyâre only saying that loveâs a force thatâs powerful and strange. 2.8k words
Warnings: fluff, babygirl steve, cursing, mentions of toxic (?) relationship, hopeless pining, pet names (sweetheart), shameless flirting
Steve can barely see through his rose-tinted daydream, but he's sure he recognizes your smile as soon as you enter the food court. And you lead a trail of whiny teenagers right to his register. This is the fourth time this week you've heard about Steve's lusturous hair and dazzling eyes. You have to hand it to them, they're not bad salesmen, just a tad young to elicit ethos. What the hell do they know about love anyway.
That's what happens when you're licensed and free on a Friday afternoon: babysitting duty. Now, in the event that Steve had been the one saddled with the party on his day off, he would've argued that they're not really babies and they should be self-sufficient. Knowing Dustin, however, this argument proves to be false almost every time.
But it wasn't Steve, it was you. Steve doesn't think he's heard you complain about one thing in your life.
Not even your deadbeat boyfriend called Brad. Who, as Dustin and Max and Robin love to remind him, is utterly replaceable and on thin ice every other week. Steve knows better than to get his hopes up after three months of having them crushed, though. He's learned to live with the strong sense of yearning he feels whenever you're within thirty feet of him.
Take now, for example: you're coralling half a dozen brats into a somewhat single-file line without even having to raise your voice. He should think it's impressive, but he's too distracted by your lip gloss and your voice and the way you did your hair today.
"I hope you give discounts to distressed young women," you tease, brows knitting when you look up at him. This is the part where he's supposed to respond with something charming. Sexy and charismatic, maybe.
"Oh, uh," he chuckles, "No, I mean, yeah. Sure"âOh, but you smile at him and all that pent up charisma flies out the neon-framed sliding doors. They chatter out their orders at lightning speed, and he can barely catch half of what they're saying when you look at him like that. You finally make it to the register and pay half price. And your cone is always on the house, of course.
"Isn't he such a gentleman?" Max says unenthusiastically. Lucas elbows her side before retreating with Dustin.
"He's also a great driver!" Will chirps, shuffling away to one of the booths with Mike and El who giggle the whole way there. You turn back to Steve who stares off at them incredulously.
"You see what I have to deal with?" you say with some degree of affection for the chaos.
"Aw, come on," Steve says, tilting his head with a shrug, "you love it."
"I think they keep forgetting I already have a boyfriend."
Not much of a boyfriend if you ask me, he thinks.
But what he says: "Ah, yes. The elusive Brad."
You roll your eyes and grin at him. You know Steve has a crush on you. Or else the kids and Robin wouldn't be so adamant on marketing him to you. It's sweet, really. And honestly, you don't think Steve's unfit to play boyfriend or anything, but you're also not disloyal.
Your scoop melts down the side of the cone between your fingers. Steve nearly hurls himself across the counter handing you a thick stack of napkins.
"Shit, thanks," you huff, lapping at the stream of sticky ice cream. His stomach churns as his face screws into a sickly smile.
"Yeah. No problem."
"No, really"âyou wrap a napkin around the cone, shoving the rest into your pocketâ"I don't know what I'd do if I had to pay the entire bill everytime one of them had a craving."
"Really, it's not a problem," he shrugs it off like it doesn't come out of his paycheck. "I like helping out pretty girls when I can."
You giggle and tilt your head. "Steve Harrington, you're my hero."
He's almost embarassed at how fast his face flushes red hot and frantic. He reaches for the back of his neck on impulse, and any attempt he makes at seeming suave is foiled by Robin patting him on the shoulder.
"If you think that's heroic, there was this one time he singlehandedly saved Hawkins with this sick baseball bat with nailsâ"
He huffs, "Robinâ"
"No, seriously! Don't be so modest, Steve, you're selling yourself short!"
"I'm not trying to sell myself at all!" he says, turning her around and guiding her towards the door to the back room.
"Great seeing you!" she hollers over her shoulder just before disappearing behind the swinging door. You wave with a chuckle. Steve tuts, fixing his sailor hat and shaking his head.
"Did you really do all that? Save Hawkins, I mean?" you ask. And you seem genuinely interested which is why it guts him. The one girl who actually gives a shit is coincidentally unavailable.
"Yeah," he says, shrugging, "but only to clear my conscience. It's like penance, or whatever."
You giggle, not sure if he's being truthful or playing it off. He meets your eyes and he's sure his heart stops dead in his chest for a beat. Nobody pulls off mall lighting like you.
The kids come skipping back to the counter, declaring they've all got different wants and needs around the mall for the next few hours.
"Okay, hold on, I promised I'd have you guys back before my date," you say, Steve overseeing the conversation from over your shoulder.
"Well," he interjects, "when's your date?" All the attention shifts to Steve, and he suddenly wishes he could swallow up the words and take them back for good.
"Two hours from now. Across town," you say, looking a little guilty knowing he's about to make the kindest offer of the year.
"I'm off at five, so I can just"âstop talkingâ"take them home after my shift."
"Steve, really, you don't have toâ"
El grins, eyes wide as she whispers in Max's ear.
Steve shakes his head, "Sweetheart, believe me, I want to. Besides, you've already been through enough with the rascals. Go have fun."
You turn to the kids, almost pleading with them to accept Steve's generosity.
"Is that okay with you guys? I don't wanna leave you stranded," you admit.
They nod in agreement, throwing out a couple yes's and sure's. They're bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as ever, but you still feel bad dumping them on Steve like this.
Dustin interrupts: "This really just goes to show how Steve is a great candidate for marriage and other domestic relations. He can be odd at times and he might care too much about his hair, but you can tell by his actions that he would be a very reliable husband, a generous life partner, andâ"
"And a great friend," you giggle, trying not to let Dustin get too carried away. You have sat through enough of his speeches for one day. "Now, quit trying to set us up!"
Steve rolls his eyes at the boy. "Seriously, at least wait 'til she's single. Then she can reject me for me."
You whip back to face him with a sour look on your face.
"Steven! That's notâthat's rude to yourself," you huff, "Say three nice things."
He chuckles, crossing his arms over his chest and squinting at you.
"You're pretty, I like your shoes, and you smell nice."
"About you!"
"Ohh," he feigns surprise, "No." But you reach across the counter to whack him on the arm with a shocking amount of force. The kids chuckle from behind you. Steve can't help but smile when you raise your brows proudly. "Fine! I am deserving of love, I am great company, and my hair looks particularly shiny today."
"Good," you nod, "I agree. And I have to go, see ya!"
"With which one?" he says, watching you jog out of the store waving. "Wait! Sweetheart? Agree with which one??"
Steve sighs sharply, hands perched decidedly on his hips as his gaze falls flat on the militia of pre teens staring him down.
"What do you want?" he says.
"You're hopeless," Max says, mouth pressed in a hard line before she wanders off, arm-in-arm with El.
"Yeah, dude. And kinda desperate," Mike shrugs.
"Hey," he grumbles. Who knew such harsh words could come from such little humans. You'd think they'd be harmless at this age. You'd be wrong.Â
"You're a total virgin," Dustin says, very matter-of-factly.
Steve cocks a brow, honestly trying not to laugh at the severity of Dustin's demeanor when he says it. "I don't even think you know what that means."
Dustin blinks. "Well, I think you haven't had sex in long enough that you qualify as one."
"Shit."
...
Much to Steveâs surprise, it only takes butthead Brad two more weeks to absolutely shatter your heart. No one knows the complete details other than it happened at a frat party and you had to walk back to the dorms alone. But Steve doesnât need complete details to know he wants to shatter Bradâs jaw with his fist.
But he also vowed to use means other than violence to get his point across. He should be awarded for the amount of restraint it took to see your bloodshot eyes and not speed immediately off towards Asshole University like a Brad-seeking atomic missile.
Of course, heâs thankful you felt comfortable enough to call him. In fact, he was the first one you rang. And he knows this fact because you told him while you were sniffling away tears a week and a half after the break up.
Now, youâre sitting in the passenger seat of his beemer, curled into your sweater, and listening to late night soft rock radio while he focuses on the dark highway ahead of him. You hadnât wanted to do anything else but sit in his car and think. His heart clenches everytime you wipe away a tear with your soggy sleeve.
He pulls off the highway during an ad break, finding a secluded diner surrounded by nothing but trees and gas stations. He pulls into a parking spot near the back of the lot where the overhead lights arenât blinding, but you arenât completely in the dark. He leaves the car on so the cold doesnât seep in, engine still purring softly from under the hood.
âWho needs âem,â he says in attempt to lighten the mood. âBeing single is way cooler. Take it from me. You get a bed all to yourself and you can fart whenever you want.â
Youâre frowning, but you know he means well. You just canât help the fat tears rolling down your cheeks.
âOh, come here,â he whispers, leaning over the center console and dipping his hands over your shoulder and around your waist. His arms feel so strong and so warm where they envelop you entirely. Steve always was the best hug you ever receieved.
You canât help but chuckle wetly into his collar after a moment.
âGod, he was such an asshole, wasnât he?â
âUh, duh! Doesnât take a genius toâŚâ Steve laughs, pausing and brushing the hair away from your damp cheeks. âI know, sweetheart, and you deserve heaps better. You were always way too cool for that loser.â
You blink up at him in the low light. Thereâs a kind of twinkle in your eye that makes the tips of his ears hot. This time, you reach for him, weaving your arms beneath his jacket with a deep sigh. Your breathing slows against his neck, and he rubs your back while your arms tighten a little around his waist.
He canât help but wonder what youâre thinking whenever you look at him with your doe eyes, seemingly sweet and far too inquisitive. He knows youâre probably just looking, maybe thinking of something else. But the hopeless romantic in him rattles his rib cage and shouts you might actually consider him this time.
âWanna go get shakes? On me,â he whispers. You sniffle, wiping your aching nose on the cuff of your sleeve.
âI can pay for myself,â you tease, popping open the car door when he cuts the engine.
âNope! Sorry, I donât let girls pay, remember? Super sexist, I know. Plus the whole pretty privilege thing. Honestly, I should just be paying you at this point,â he says, hooking his arm around your back and feeling yours reach for his shoulder as you march towards the diner.
âI agree, rich boy,â you chuckle, âReparations are in order for wrongdoings on behalf of your sex.â
He chuckles. Heâs absolutely head over heels.
The waitress seats you at a cozy booth in the corner and makes a casual comment about the cute couple, asking how long you two have been together. Steve flounders at the question, flustered and pink in the face.
âOh, weâre actually⌠not together,â you say, laughing awkwardly when she pouts and, again, remarks on how cute youâd be together. You order shakes for the both of you before perching your chin in your hand. Steveâs still reeling when the waitress walks away.
âFunny. We canât even escape the third-degree from complete strangers,â you tease, winking at him from just a few feet away. Jesus, heâd think you were trying to kill him if you didnât seem so lighthearted and playful.
âYeah, pretty funny,â he sighs. And heâs probably being so obvious. Or maybe thatâs how he is all of the time, so his heart eyes seem subtle. Or itâs obvious all of the time.
The waitress slides the shakes in front of you, and the bright red cherries sink further into the whipped cream.
âYou know,â you murmur between sips, âI always thought you were pretty cute.â
He nearly chokes on his mouthful of chocolate malt, clearing his throat and trying not to crumble in on himself.
âOh. Yeah, I get that a lot,â he huffs, âMostly from little old ladies, butâHey!â
You flick him and say, âReally! I know itâs not couth considering⌠Brad and all, butâŚâ
âYouâre being facetious,â Steve accuses.
âNoââ
âSarcastic!â
âSteveââ
âIronic?â
âTry serious!â you hum, âIâm just saying, youâre very handsome. I was shocked to learn you were single when we first met.â
Steveâs blushing and puffing trying to maintain eye contact.
âWhat can I say? Iâm just,â he huffs, âIâm not really worried about it.â
You tilt your head. âYouâre not?â
âNah. I know the right girl will find me in the end. Even if it takes a while. I donât mind waiting for the right one.â
You settle back in the padded seat, wincing when it squeals beneath you. It makes you feel a little dejected, but you suppose heâs right. Especially because he seems so confident. So sure. Itâs admirable. You want to be that sure of soulmates and love and the future.
âI feel the same way,â you whisper. He finishes off the rest of his glass with a smile.
âThough, it doesnât exactly help having a bunch of little shitheads telling you to go get laid all the time,â he laughs.
âOh, yeah, tell me about itâ you lean in, âJust break up with him, steve is so much nicer. Dump that loser. Steve has a big crush on you.â
âThey said that?â Steveâs not dumb, heâs sure you know by now, but he thought it was all conjecture. They will be hearing about this next time they want free ice cream.
âYeah, that was like their main point. But I know with all the love in my heart theyâre all full of shit.â
You shrug, and he chuckles dryly. He canât decide whether you knowing is for better or for worse.
âYeah,â he sighs.
Steve drives you home. You fall asleep in the car, and he keeps the radio low so as not to wake you. By the time he pulls into your driveway, he doesnât care about the time or the fact that he lives far. He does, however, care about the way you smile lazily and peck his cheek in thanks.
âAnytime, sweetheart.â
He says it but he wants to tell you what heâs feeling. He wants to ask if youâre over Brad. He knows youâre not and thatâs okay, but he wants to ask if he can hold your hand to keep it warm. He wants to ask what kind of flowers you like and if it would be okay for him to drop them off on your doorstep tomorrow. He has so much he wants to say and do, but he doesnât want to suffocate you.
He doesnât know that you wouldnât mind him asking.

Thinking of Steve with PTSD from the torture in Starcourt. (TW: explicit memories physical torture)
Steve, who wakes up feeling hands punch him. Steve, who sometimes gets his fingers caught on knots in his hair, tugs at them accidentally, and suddenly feels the needle against his neck again. Steve, who can't remember the last time it didn't feel like someone was touching him, even when there's no one there.
During the day, it's not so bad. It whispers over his skin, but sometimes it's like it goes completely silent, drowned by the chaos of the kids or Robin's antics. But nights, or any time he's alone in his house, are hard. His skin burns from being slapped, pinched, injected, and the walls waver and morph into the basement of Starcourt for hours.
Obviously, Robin get's it, she was there too, so the pair try to spend as much time as possible together. But on the night's she's working, or her parents force her in and Steve out, he struggles, avoiding his house like the plague.
It's on one of these nights he meets Eddie. Eddie, who's a little skeptical of him, but who saw his fall from grace, and can see the wild fear in Steve's eyes from a mile away. Eddie, who's always ready to adopt a stray sheep. Eddie, who's babbling brings him back to earth, even when he has no idea what he's on about. He learns Eddie's funny, and loud, and brings life to his sickeningly quiet home in a way no-one else can, and Eddie learns he's not a stuck-up bully of a jock, and it quickly becomes a routine for them to meet whenever Robin's busy. Overtime, Eddie learns Steve struggles because of what he went through in Starcourt, but not much else.
One night, he rocked up to Steve's for a movie night, and he can tell instantly it's a bad day. Steve looks haunted, there's no other word for it. He knows he's going to have to pull out the extra Munson Special to be able to get a real smile out of him tonight.
But it doesn't work. In fact, Steve just seems to be getting worse.
He keeps zoning out, knuckles wise where they grip his jeans, the sofa, anything. And not only is he shaking in general, he's also jolting. And... dodging. Like some invisible figure is hitting him.
Eddie's so worried, he actually stops talking, just watches for a little bit and. Steve doesn't notice. He just keeps breathing too fast. Keeps staring at some ghost in his past. Keeps flinching.
Saying Steve's name isn't enough to get his attention, so slowly, carefully, Eddie reaches for him, placing a hand on his arm, just lightly. But it's enough to make Steve reel back.
They're both apologising in seconds, Steve looking distraught as he assures Eddie it's fine, he's just being stupid, and Eddie saying he should have asked, it's no big deal. But Eddie doesn't miss the sheen in Steve's eyes as he nods, or the tremble to his lips.
He takes a deep breath. Asks, "Steve? what's going on?" Watches as Steve tenses impossibly more for one second. Two. Then crumbles.
"I- I can just f-feel- and-and it hurts, and I don't-"
"Okay, okay, what can I do?"
But Steve just whines, because he doesn't know, he just feels pain everywhere and he just needs to make it stop.
Cue Eddie wracking his brains, and asking where it hurts the worst. Cue Eddie asking if Steve trusts him (and of course he does). Cue Eddie talking Steve through what he's about to do. Cue Eddie gently reaching out to touch Steve's neck, rubbing his thumb over it gently, holding his breath as Steve goes rigid underneath his hand, only to let it out when a significant amount of the tension just bleeds out of him a few moments later.
Slowly, Eddie works his way around all the sore spots, murmuring soft assurances, gaining more confidence as Steve trembles less, breathes easier, and melts under his touch.
They end up with Steve's face buried in Eddie's shoulder, Eddie's arms around him firmly, but not tightly. And Steve doesn't have the words to explain why he needed this, what had caused this. But it doesn't matter. Because Eddie's got him.
From then on, Steve's always got someone to help him remember his body is his. Eddie doesn't hesitate to welcome Steve with a hug, run his hands over Steve's wrists, trail fingers over Steve's neck, or just wrap him up in a blanket and snuggle with him and watch a movie. It doesn't matter that Steve's not allowed to explain. He can piece enough together himself (and after Vecna, he learns anyway). It just matters that Steve is sleeping easier, and laughing more brightly. It just matters that Steve is his.

What if m/c had been accepted for a scholarship abroad and just ended up stayinv there becoming the resident hero ? They did keep in regular contact with Alfred tho, seeing as he was the only family member who didnt ignore them.
Ok that is interesting and for this (which is not in the storyline in part 4) I will add another hero or two instead of Superman since he's not THAT special.
Small disclaimer: I am not sure if Green Arrow lives in Central City and where I searched told me he lives there so don't come at me that it's wrong please (I changed it to Star City so if you see it changed here is the answer)
This is based two years before you entered highschool so when you were 13 and already in Bruce's Manor.
You were there for a year and after suffering so much from Damian's tormenting you and everyone just ignoring you made you so tired and you wanted, no, needed to leave the manor and city.
You knew it was drastic but you couldn't do it anymore, you missed your mother and being sent to a home where people detest you just for existing made you feel so bad you couldn't even leave your room without a panic attack at the thought of being hurt by Damian's words or weapons or being ignored by everyone when you tried to say anything.
You applied to a few scholarship far away from Gotham to enter some prestigious schools in different cities so you could spread your choices if you got accepted.
You didn't say anything to Alfred until you received many scholarships and you chose the one in Star City, wanting to be as far away as possible from Gotham and the Waynes.
The only problem was getting Alfred to accept to send you there since he was the boss in the house, not Bruce.
You knew Bruce wouldn't care if he sent you somewhere else but you didn't want him to know where you would be going but still needed his money since you were a thirteen year old with no job or an allowance.
Thankfully Bruce just signed it without looking when Alfred showed him some random papers and off you went to your new life in Star City.
As years passed you became more social since you weren't held down by the neglect of the Waynes and you were around people who actually sought you out and didn't completely ignore you.
You kept dancing and sent all of yours training practices, plus all your small and big dance recitals to Alfred so he could see you dance since he couldn't come to every single one of them and you didn't blame him.
When you turned 15 you found a part-time job at a science company where they allowed you to work on your experiments with the supervision of an another scientist.
Unfortunately (or fortunately) you got bit by a radioactive spider that escaped from the same scientist who was supposed to supervise you and gave you the spider abilities.
Which did worry you but you learned to control your newfound superhuman strenght and also your weird sticking to surfaces and walking on walls.
Did it take a while? Yes, but it was worth it.
You also decided to become a vigilante because why not? Why not put your life in danger every night just to not receive any money compensation from it?
You're not as active as your alterego in Gotham since you actually have friends here and you're not held down by years of neglect which pushed you to help people.
You helped people whenever you could and one night, during a patrol you accidentally bumped into Green Arrow and fought with him for a while before both of you realised neither of you two were villains.
You did apologise and after a few more encounters and you pulling some pranks on Oliver because he was an easy target to prank, like come on. The man wears green and has an arrow. You can't not prank that man and call him Robin Hood.
You became his little helper, got his phone number and helped him with some villains whenever you could and especially if he let you.
You also trained your fighting with him, which got you beat up and with so many black eyes that you had to beg him to not hit your face since you couldn't keep worrying your friends and dance instructor since they were starting to ask questions and you couldn't fool them forever.
You also met Roy, aka Speedy, while on a mission with Oliver and also got along with him despite his hatred for Oliver and gained a new older brother.
After a year of helping Oliver around and training to fight decently and not only use your superhuman strenght, he finally let you come to a Justice League meeting.
You met Batman and Damian there, along with Superman and Jon to which you tried to get along with but the two of them were extremely clingy and knew a bit too much about you which creeped you out.
During the meeting you stayed very close to Oliver to avoid the two teens and also hide from Batman and Superman since they kept staring at you even while talking.
After the meeting Batman did try to approach you and you avoided him, but while walking away he just said "(Y/N)", which made you stop before walking off.
You immediately knew that he knew who you were under the mask but you didn't care that he knew.
You just ignored him and his calls, plus his sons calls. You refused to even give him a bit of attention, especially since he didn't bother you for years but now they wanted your attention?
God no, you still had dignity and self respect. Giving them attention would be like forgiving them for all those years of not even knowing you existed.
Finally the calls stopped but they started to appear everywhere you went in Central City.
You went to school? You were called in the principal office where Bruce was and scolded you lightly about putting your mother's last name when it should have been his.
Your hand started to bleed from how hard you were gripping it so you wouldn't yell at the man in front of the principal.
What you hated more was the look of love Bruce had when he scolded you, gently patting your head as he talked.
You showered at least three times before you finally felt clean after feeling Bruce touch you so lovingly.
Everywhere you went as you or as Spider, you would be met by either Bruce or one of his kids, which got even more frustrating when they would try to coax you to come back home to Gotham.
Dick would try to coax you, too into his delusional idea that you were being forced to stay here with Green Arrow even though you told him many times that it wasn't true.
He would also manipulate you by fake crying whenever you yelled at him or ignored him, making you even more frustrated because he kept on caring about himself and didn't see how you were happy in Star City.
Jason would just follow you and talk like you never left, complaining about Bruce or Damian and offered to go to a cafĂŠ or restaurant to catch up and see what you were up to.
Even yelling at him that he didn't care when you left didn't budge him and made him give up. No, it made him even more persistent on trying to act like you two were close and a happy family.
You also had to slam the door in Tim's face so many times whenever he would knock at the door of your apartment, you had to replace the doorknob and locks too many times to count from Tim picking the locks and you destroying the doorknob from your strenght.
Plus, arriving home to relax and seeing both Tim and Bruce in your apartment with dinner made you sick but you had to endure since you couldn't afford to change apartments since it was in the best position in the city.
Oh but Damian was the worst. He would act like he never hurt you sometimes or other times used his own past as a way to show that he had it worse than you.
Did you throw him off a building when he said that? Yes but unfortunately for you, Jon was there to catch him which made you even more frustrated.
Clark? He was decent sometimes, you met him before when he talked with Oliver and you were around but you always got a creepy vibe from him.
Especially when he kept on staring at you or gave you things like small trinkets you saw but never bought. It was so creepy that he knew what you liked, plus he kept on calling you nicknames like a father would do to his child.
Jon wasn't that bad. He did leave you alone when you asked but he also helped you. The only problem was that he acted like you were his older brother/sister and talked about times you two were together when you distinctly remember being alone when you did those things.
You did call Alfred once, he was the only one you told that you were Spider since he kept on asking why you were always full of bruises on your face and arms and you couldn't lie to him.
The call did not go well, with you yelling at Alfred that he ruined it since now Bruce knew who you were and he ruined your once happy life just because he wanted you back home.
After a while of seeing Bruce and his kids and them trying to manipulate you into going back home, plus Clark and Jon, you decided to go to the only person you trusted the most in Star City.
You went to Green Arrow and confessed to everything, you told him about your mother's death and how you were suddenly sent to a family who couldn't care less about you.
You didn't hide that you were Bruce's biological child and also showed him your scars that Damian made in the year he tormented you.
At the end of the confession you were crying, the memories of Damian hurting you with all the neglect and blatant hatred towards you made you breakdown in an ugly cry.
You kept crying even when Oliver hugged you, hugging him back with all your might as you didn't want him to leave you.
You did admit that you thought many times on going back since they kept on insisting and you weren't that strong, you couldn't resist forever with all that pressure.
By saying that, you felt Oliver freeze for a second before hugging you back and holding you close, like you hugging him with your super strength didn't faze him one bit.
What you didn't feel was the tiny prick of a needle being inserted in your neck, the only thing you last heard before collapsing in Oliver's arms were "sorry kid, can't let you leave me"

How To Balance Your Daytime and Nighttime Activities So That You Don't Burn Yourself Out More Than You Already Have
A knock on the door was not what Danny was expecting that evening. In the two weeks of observation and one week of actually staying with the man, Danny had figured that Dick, for as friendly as he is, did not have many friends. And if he did, they didn't visit him a lot, if at all. So, a knock on the door exactly thirty minutes before Nightwing was set to go out was a suspicious surprise.
He answered it anyway.
On the other side of the door was a kid about his age, an inch or two taller. He had dark hair, pale skin, bright blue eyes, and eyebags dark enough to rival Danny's own. He also smelled faintly of coffee.
"Um," Danny started dumbly. "Hello?"
"I'm looking for Richard Grayson." The kid's accent was stronger than Dick's, putting him as a born and raised Gotham resident. There was also a hint of something that reminded Danny of Sam's parents. This kid comes from money.
"And you are?"
Obviously upset about being stalled, he huffed, "Timothy Drake. Are you going to let me in now?"
How does someone sound so rude and so polite at the same time? Obviously a skill Danny needs to learn. "Why-"
"Who's at the door, Danny?" Dick called from the hallway, making his way closer. He was in his Nightwing costume, minus the mask, but had covered it with a hoodie and sweatpants.
"Tim Drake," Tim introduced himself again, pushing Danny out of the way and entering the apartment to greet Dick with a handshake. "You're Bruce's Wayne's kid, Richard 'Dick' Grayson."
"Yeah, that's-"
"You need to come back and be Robin again."
There was a moment of silence as Danny closed the door softly. Then, "Excuse me?" Dick's smile was strained and his eyes narrowed slightly.
"You need to come back and be Batman's Robin again. You don't have to don the suit, but he needs you." There was a hint of desperation in Tim's voice now. "He's been spiraling since Jason died, and he's starting to hit harder. Most of the guys he beats up end up in the emergency room! Some of them have even died from their injuries! Batman needs your help! He needs a Robin."
Dick was quiet for a moment. "No."
"What?"
"I won't- I can't go back to being Robin. I can't go back to being in that house."
"Why not?"
"I just can't. Now, I don't know how you found me or how you found out who I was, but you need to go back to Gotham, Tim."
"But-"
"Now, Tim. You're parent's are probably freaking out about where you are right now."
Tim didn't say anything for a long moment, he feet rooted in place. Just as Dick turned around to go to the fire escape, he spoke, "My parents don't care where I am." Louder, he said, "Bruce is going to start directly killing people if you don't go back there and help him."
"Why should I help him?" Dick demanded. "He didn't even tell me that my little brother had died! I didn't even get to go to his funeral! And then Bruce had the audacity to punch me in the face and blame me for not being there! I'm not going back to Gotham, I'm not putting on the Robin suit again, and I sure as hell am not going to help Batman. he made it clear that he works alone, so let him." With his peace said, Dick took his hoodie and sweatpants off, donned his domino and escrima sticks, and left through the window fifteen minutes early.
Neither Tim nor Danny said anything for a long few minutes, neither bothering to move. Too many thoughts in each of their heads with no way to properly form words.
Finally, after nearly seven minutes, Danny's voice broke through the air. "I'm sorry he yelled at you."
Tim, having forgotten Danny was there, jumped and turned to face him. "What?"
"He hasn't been the same since Jason died, not that I know what he was like before."
"What do you mean?"
Danny moved into the kitchen, pulling down two cups, filling them with water before offering one to Tim and leading him to sit down on the couch.
"I don't know a lot about the situation, I've only been here for three weeks now, but I know that Dick is still hurting. Nightmares, hallucinations, the works. He's been more violent recently, too, but obviously not as much as Batman has been."
"You, uh, you know?"
"Yeah. Kinda hard not to figure it out while living here, and you coming in today didn't help that." Tim blushed and sipped his water. "Though, like you, I showed up on Dick's doorstep already knowing he's Nightwing."
"Oh? And how well did that pan out for you?"
Danny shrugged. "I offered him help and refused to leave until he accepted it."
Tim laughed. "That's what I did to Bruce!"
They shared a smile. Danny lifted his cup as if to toast. "Here's to a couple of goblins with hero complexes." Tim lifted his cup to join Danny's toast and they both took a drink.
Giggling, the two finished their water in relative quiet, the air around them comfortable.
"Say," Tim asked, putting his cup down on the coffee table, "How old are you?"
"Fourteen. You?"
"Same."
"Cool."
"You're parents know where you are?"
"Nope. I would ask if yours do, but you already answered that."
"Yeah, they aren't really around much. I did tell Alfred I'd be gone, though, so he knows I'm not home."
"Yeah, but does he know you're here?"
"No."
"Hm." A beat. "Who's Alfred?"
Another laugh startled out of Tim. "Bruce's butler. Did Dick tell you nothing?"
Danny shrugged again. "I haven't pushed for answers about anything; I'm not a therapist. I'm just here because he's going to end up killing himself at the rate he's been working himself."
"So is Bruce," Tim admitted softly, "But he's going to end up taking Gotham down with him if no one stops him."
"So what are you going to do?"
He thought for a long minute, weighing options in his mind before saying, "I guess I'll have to be the help he needs me to be."
Danny tilted his head sideways like a dog. "What do you mean?"
Tim squared his shoulders, though he was still hesitant. "Batman needs a Robin, and if Dick isn't going to be that for him, then I guess I'll have to be."
Another beat. "But do you want to be a vigilante?"
"Does it matter if I want to be?" Tim asks, "If I don't then no one will." He took a deep, steadying breath. "Gotham is my home. I can't let Bruce destroy it in his grief."
"I understand." Danny nodded, "But what you want does matter. I know I can't stop you, so I'm not going to try, but I'm going to make you promise me something." He made sure to hold Tim's gaze. "You ask for help when you need it." He held out his hand and waited.
"What?"
"You're phone. Give it to me." Reluctantly, he did so. As soon as the flip phone was in his hand, Danny put his number in it before giving it back. 'You don't have to do this alone, okay, Tim? Promise that you'll call me when you need help, okay? Any time of day, I'll answer."
Tim stared at his now closed phone, the weight grounding him for a moment. "Are you going to be a vigilante to help Nightwing?"
"I already am."
"Huh?"
"It's why I'm here, It's why I know I can't stop you and why I'm making sure you know I'll be here to help you."
Nothing else was said between the boys. Nothing else needed to be said.

Steveâs best relationship wasnât even a relationship. He could barely call it a fling, a flirt. They never even went on a date. They never kissed.
Steve still thinks of it as the best whatever-it-is he has ever had with someone.
At the beginning it was mostly infuriating, how quickly Eddie managed to win the kids over, compared to Steveâs months of work as babysitter/nailbat swinger/monster fighter. Steve had to literally bleed multiple times to get an ounce of respect, Eddie only had to run a nerdy club about fictional bleeding and monster-fighting.
Then somehow, and Steve still has trouble pinpointing when and how it happened, everything changed.
Taking the kids back home from hellfire became something he impatiently waited for.
He and Eddie would barely talk for a few minutes and he would find himself replaying the conversation in his head for days. Anything he could say to get a reaction out of Eddie became fundamental, and if he started by picking subjects to piss him off, he ended learning about Eddieâs favorites, because few minutes after hellfire were never enough and Steve needed Eddie to talk as much as possible, until the kids were begging to drop it and go home.
Steve never questioned the change, most likely out of fear. He doesnât think he ever was clueless, just really scared about what would potentially mean to be staring at another dudeâs eyelashes as he goes on a rant about why Ozzy Osbourne is the best artist of his generation. Or blush whenever said dude would call him âbabyâ, or âsweetheartâ.
Steve convinced himself that the thing he and Eddie were having was as good as it was going to get, nothing more.
Then Chrissy Cunningham died, Eddie ran, and Steve realized that the thing will never be enough for him.
He couldnât not have Eddie. Not watch him as he entertains a bunch of freshmen, as he stomps with his worn out sneakers on top of forniture, as he puts his terrible music on to push away anyone who doesnât care enough about him to stay.
Steve needed to see Eddie being alive, doing what his heart desires, and he needed to be next to him when he does.
Obviously, this realization came at the worst possible time.
Steve tried to tell him so many times: when they found him at the boathouse, when he was hiding at refer Rickâs house, when they were taking a stroll in the upside down, and even when they were driving a stolen trailer to a gunshop.
But, it seemed, Eddie had come to a realization just as important and he tried his best to avoid Steve at every given chance.
Steve tried to initiate the conversation as Eddie did his best to run away from it. And he ran until Steve had no chances left to tell him how he actually felt.
âââ
Steve doesnât know if heâs allowed to say he lost something he never had. To mourn a relationship he never began. A partner that, technically, never became a partner.
After Eddie dies, Steve has no one to be next to but he canât say he ever did.
Steve just exists waiting. He canât tell if heâs waiting for the pain to go away or for Eddie to jump out of a bush and yell âah! I got you sucker!! By the way, Iâm in love with you too.â
For obvious reasons, that never happens.
What does happen, is a call.
Itâs a normal Tuesday, as normal as you could define it after Hawkins almost collapsed into the upside down. Steve got into a routine, between checking on the ones at the hospital, helping out at the shelter, allowing Robin to check on him to see if heâs still alive.
The call happens while Robin is doing her kitchen check up - aka making sure he has food and that heâs eating it-, so she picks the phone like she did a million times before.
âHarrington residence, this is Robinâ she says, cheerfully.
Steve doesnât pay much attention to it as heâs folding his dadâs old clothes that intends to donate to the shelter, until he hears Robinâs loud gasp.
âWhat is it? Is it the hospital? Is it Max?â He rushes to the other room where Robin is.
She doesnât answer but she gives him a look as she passes him the receiver.
Steve goes quiet, a million thoughts going through his head as he takes the phone from Robin.
Heâs still unprepared when he hears that unmistakable voice âBabyâ.
Steve gasps for breath âEddie?â
Is that really you? What happened? Are you hurt? Isnât this impossible? Is what goes on in Steveâs head, but he ends up just asking âare you okay?â
He can hear a chuckle, Eddieâs wicked chuckle, a further confirmation that it is him, âIâm- hanging in there⌠are you okay?â
Steve finds the question absurd. He isnât the one who got left in the upside down, the one that got eaten by demonic bats, the one who died before Steve had the chance to tell him how he felt.
He answers truthfully nonetheless, âIâm⌠Iâm not okay.â
âIâll be there soon, I promise.â
âPlease Eddie, come quick.â
âIâll break the sound barrier for you.â

Booksmart | Steve Harrington
Summary: Steve Harringtonâs head may be full of air, but his heart is full of love. [4.4k]
Fluff, comfort, slight angst, insecure Steve
âĄ
Steve Harrington isnât a genius. He barely passed his classes in high school, couldnât get into college, and can barely keep his minimum wage job. Heâs been belittled by his parents too many times to care about their opinion and he knows compared to his friends he isnât as clever or witty, but heâs okay with it - at least he thinks he is. It might sting when Robin and Eddie tease him for being too slow or when Dustin sighs in frustration because he canât keep up, but the ache dissipates when they look at him in adoration.Â
He blames his failing love life on his lack of intelligence. Although girls find his himbo-ness endearing, his relationships never last long. Â Most of the dates he goes on end up as dirty hookups in the backseat of his car and on the off chance a girl stays longer than a month he can slowly see the irritation replace the endearment in her eyes. He was just something to do during the inbetween phase of graduation and moving out of Hawkins, a trophy to conquer - to finally have slept with the previously known King. He used to be okay with that at the beginning, he got his needs met while girls crossed him off their list, but over time he craved more. He saw how Nancy looked at Jonathan, how Joyce laughed with Hopper, and how Robin blushed around Vickie. He was desperate for that feeling of being wanted and loved.Â
Even though he's surrounded by people who love and accept him as he is, he can't help but wonder if things wouldve been different if he was just a little smarter.Â
_
âRobin Iâm telling you she started speaking a different language halfway through dinner,â Steve grumbles as heâs shelving the horror section.Â
Robin rolls her eyes at him, âJust because you donât understand the words sheâs using doesnât mean she was speaking a different language, Steven. I donât even think she knows anything but English.Â
Steve sighs under his breath.Â
He had gone on another date last night, but didnât even make it past the appetizers before he made up an emergency and left. The night started off great, the Indiana summer evening had a cool breeze, he opened the door for her, and was rewarded with a kiss on his cheek when he presented her with flowers. Valerie had been nice, beautiful, and smart - maybe a little too smart for Steve. Donât get him wrong, Steve loves strong, smart, and capable women. He loved hearing Valerie speak about physics and graphing linear equations, he loved learning about what interested her, but as the night went on he could see the light in her eyes fading as he kept asking her questions. The final straw had been when he told her he hasnât read a book since high school and she laughed lightly before saying âyou really are only a pretty face.âÂ
âMaybe, Iâm just destined to be alone, or like a back up plan for girls who come back to Hawkins after giving up on their big city dreams.â
Robin sighs and gives him a reassuring pat, âSteve, youâre a good man. Youâll find your one, trust me on this.â
Before he can say more the bell jingles as a gust of hot air is let in. Steve groans as he spots Dustinâs mop of curly hair and hears the chatter of 6 other teens. He holds the door open with his arm as he sees Lucas struggling with Maxâs wheelchair.Â
âYou guys canât keep coming in here, Robin and I actually have work to do you know.â
âWe wanted to pick a movie for movie night,â Max says.Â
He sighs softly as he meets her eyes. Steveâs always had a soft spot for Max ever since theyâve met and itâs only gotten softer since then, everyone knows this, but the kids tend to take advantage of this and use Max to get their way.Â
âAlright two movies max and no rated r ones.â
As he hears the bell jingle again he starts his greeting in a monotone voice, âWelcome to Family Video, my name is Stââ he chokes.Â
âOh my god, are you okay?â you ask softly.Â
Heâs still coughing and panting slightly as he tries to give you a reassuring nod. Robin makes her way to the front to hand Steve some water and finish introductions.Â
âWhat he means to say is his name is Steve and Iâm Robin. You can come get us if you have any questions.â
You nod politely, finally tearing your gaze away from Steve as you start browsing through the racks. Steve, however, canât seem to stop looking at you. Heâs seen a lot of beautiful women in his life, but none of them held a candle to you. Everything about you was just perfect to him and he didnât even know you yet. His eyes repeatedly traced the slope of your nose, down to your plush lips, and back to your furrowed eyebrows as you read the back of a tape.Â
You lift your head up and he blushes as you make eye contact.Â
âDo you have any recommendations for sci-fi, I just moved to town and need something to keep me from getting bored?â you ask shyly.Â
âErr- We have a sci-fi section over thereâ Steve points to the rack behind him where the kids are gathered and quietly arguing over which movie to pick.Â
You speak as you make your way over, âYeah, but do you have any recommendations for me? I feel like Iâve seen all the good ones already.â
Steve's face falls as he tries to come up with an answer.Â
âHave you seen Star Wars?â Dustin speaks up
Max and El groan loudly as you shake your head.Â
âI tend to stay away from franchises, but whatâs it about?â
Before Dustin can answer, Mike beats him to it, âItâs about galactic adventures of these characters, itâs pretty cool.â
âWe were planning on watching it tonight, we always have movie nights at Steveâs on Friday. You should join us!â Dustin exclaims as he tries to shoot Steve a sly wink.Â
Your eyes grow wide at the sudden invitation as Steve rests his head in his hands too embarrassed to speak.Â
âIs that alright with you, Steve?â You ask kindly.Â
Steveâs breath hitches as he hears you say his name, he slowly meets your gaze as he gives you a slight nod trying to avoid choking on air again.
Robin smirks at Steve as she hands you a post-it, âHereâs Steveâs address. Movie starts at 7 and bring as many snacks as youâd like!â
You grab the post-it and shoot everyone a small wave âIâll see you guys then!â
Steve feels like he can finally breathe after he hears the soft slam of the door behind you.Â
_
âI canât believe you would do that, just invite a stranger to my home like that,â Steve groans as he fixes his hair, again, in the hallway mirror. He glances down at his polo debating if he should change his shirt for the fourth time.Â
âSteve, she agreed to come while seeing you in a Family Video vest, I donât think your outfit is what you should be worried about,â Jonathan teases him as he passes him a coke.Â
Steve shoots him a sarcastic smile before checking his watch. Itâs 7:02, you shouldâve shown up 2 minutes ago and heâs a nervous wreck. He sees your headlights before anyone else does and trips over Willâs backpack as he waits to open the door on the very first knock.Â
âSorry Iâm late, the petit fours took longer than expected.â You smile at him holding out a large container filled with small cakes.Â
He gives you a confused look too embarrassed to ask what petit fours are, so instead he takes the container and waves you in.Â
âWhat brings you to Hawkins?â Eddie asks.
âI actually came here for work, Hawkins laboratory needed another scientist to look at all the crazy stuff thatâs happened here.â
Everyone basks in the uncomfortable silence as you mention the lab before Nancy speaks up, âYou work as a scientist? You seem pretty young.â
You hesitate slightly, folding your hands in your lap, âI am young, but I graduated college at 16 and recently got my PhD and my advisor recommended me for this job, so here I am.â
Steveâs heart falls to his stomach, you were a genius, a child prodigy of some sort and youâve accomplished so much at such a young age. There was no way you would even be slightly interested in him, but part of him was willing to take that risk - be okay with whatever you spared him because it was better than not having you in his life at all.Â
The movie is ignored as everyone pays more attention to you and your genius-ness. He hears voices all at once but all he can focus on is yours. The way your laugh ends in a higher pitch than it starts in, the way you softly reassure Nancy that college isnât hard, but his favorite is when you say his name when you ask for his opinion on the theories the kids present to you. It makes him feel important like you care about what he has to say and you value his thoughts just as much as you would anyone elseâs.Â
Steve mightâve only met you today, but he was already enamored. You mightâve knowingly opened the door only to Family Video, but you also unknowingly opened the door to his heart and started to fill every corner of it with you.Â
_
Steve doesnât think heâs read this much in his entire existence as he has this month.
The first thing he did the morning after movie night was go to the library and check out as many books as he could about everything that sounded smart. Heâs inhaled almost every book on poetry (specifically Shakespeare), astrophysics and European history. Youâve come to every movie night since the first one and you try your best to visit Family Video after work just to chat with Steve and Robin. He was slowly falling in love with you and he wasnât going to let his dumb brain be the reason he lost you. He forcefully read every book from cover to cover, prying his eyes open with the memory of your impressed smile anytime he fell asleep. Heâs made countless flashcards and pesters Robin to quiz them during their shift.Â
After two months of revising and memorizing he thinks he finally finds the courage to ask you out. Youâre the last one to leave tonight, helping Steve clean up after everyone either left or claimed a spare room.Â
Steveâs hands are clammy as he ties the trash bag into a pretty bow, âI was wondering if⌠I mean you donât have to⌠but umm, like if you wanted to go out. With me, I mean.â
Your eyes trace his face as you clench the empty red vines wrapper, âYou mean like a date?â
Steve nods, unsure of your reaction. Part of him hopes youâll say no and put him out of his misery, so he can finally stop learning, but a bigger part of him hopes youâll give him a chance.Â
Your lips upturn in a shy smile as you fiddle your thumbs, âYeah, Iâd like that a lot. What did you have in mind?â
âHow about next Friday, we ditch the losers and have our movie night? Iâll pick you up at 7 and we can catch a movie?â
You respond with a quick kiss on his cheek as you grab your purse and head out. Steve rests his head on the back of the door as he pumps his fist in the air and tries his hardest to not wake Robin and Eddie with his cheering.Â
_
Youâre nervous as you pace in front of your door. Steve makes you nervous, but you donât hate the feeling. Youâve never felt this way about a boy before, boys always had a competition with you, a majority of your dates ended up with the two of you trying to up each other with accomplishments, but with Steve everything is different. Even though the facts he tells are wrong, it was still endearing to watch him try.Â
Youâre broken out of your thoughts with a knock on your door. You smooth down your dress and look in the mirror once more before swinging the door open. Steve stands there in all his glory, hair perfectly done, snug jeans, and a bouquet of flowers covering his stupidly handsome face.Â
âThese are for you,â he pushes the bouquet towards you with a surprise force that you have to step back to avoid them pressing into your nose.Â
âThanks Steve, theyâre beautiful.â You set them down gently at the nearby table mentally making a note to find a vase after you come back home.Â
He opens his car door for you, waiting until youâre settled in before jogging back to his side. âThereâs a French movie playing tonight, I think itâs about Marie - Annette, you know the queen who liked cake?âÂ
You giggle quietly but opt to ignore his mistake because he just looked too fucking cute with furrowed eyebrows and a nervous smile.Â
âAnd after the movie I was thinking we can stop by somewhere for a late night snack?â
You nod excitedly eager to finally spend time with him far away from the eyes of your prying friends, âI didnât know you knew French?â
âUh, yeah.â
The movie was⌠boring and bland. Steve didnât understand anything happening so instead spent the entire time admiring you, the furrow of your eyebrows, the tilt of your head, and the gentle bite of your lip. He remembered you mentioning to Robin that you were fluent in French, so thought a foreign film would be a good idea for a first date, but now he regrets his choice especially since you spent the drive to the diner asking him questions about the movie. Questions he didnât know the answer to. Steve has charmed his way through life, but he wasnât sure how much longer his charm would last with you, he had an inkling that sooner or later you would be able to see through his facade and you would see him as a disappointment.
_
You had a hunch that Steve was lying about knowing French and your hunch was confirmed when his shoulders tensed as the ticket guy told him the movie didnât have English subtitles. He played it off with a laugh and a wave of his hand, but you could tell it made him nervous. You thought the movie was alright, but your favorite part was feeling Steveâs eyes on you. You try to be mindful when asking him questions, keeping them vague and more about opinions rather than asking him questions that have a right or wrong answer. He responds as vaguely as possible, gauging your reaction to see if youâre pleased with his answer or if he needs to backtrack and fix his opinion.Â
Your conversation at the diner starts to get more personal as you ask each other about your likes and dislikes. You learn that Steve broke his arm learning to ride a bike, his favorite color is green, and heâs always wanted a dog. Everything you learn about Steve just makes you like him even more and the potential of falling in love with him makes you giddy with happiness. Your hands brush occasionally as you walk back to his car. He bites his lip hesitating to grab your hand as he peeks at you from the corner of his eye. You make the decision for the both of you and take a hold of his hand swinging both your arms as he blushes.Â
âYouâre really cute Steve Harrington,â you say as you force him to face you before gently pushing your lips to his.Â
_
You spend every free time you have with Steve now. Itâs been a month since your first date and since then youâve gone out plenty of times and if youâre not physically together then youâre talking for hours on the phone. Steveâs able to open up to you more than he has to anyone else and itâs only been a few months of knowing you but he knows heâs in love, yet he canât ask you to be his girlfriend. He does everything a boyfriend should do, calling you during breaks, kissing your bad days away, and hugging you just right when youâre on the verge of tears, but he still canât find the courage to ask you to be his, officially.Â
You express your concern to Nancy and Robin at an impromptu girls night, thrown together after a rough week for all of you.Â
âI just donât know why he wonât ask me, I always want to ask him myself before I see him, but then I lose my nerve. Maybe he doesnât even like me like that and Iâm just reading into things,â you whine as you smear a homemade face mask on Robin's face.Â
âTrust me, Steve is a goner for you,â Nancy replies as she squints to make sure her brushes on the nail polish perfectly.Â
âNance is right, Steve is in love with you, but you just make him nervous.â
âI donât understand why though, how do I make him nervous when heâs Steve Harrington,â you sigh dreamily.Â
Nancy and Robin giggle as they see the childish frown on your face. You push your face into a pillow whining into it like a petulant child.Â
Nancy rubs your back gently, âLook itâs not my place to say, but Steve isnât the smartest tool academically. And youâre this child prodigy and that makes him nervous.â
Robin nods in agreement, âYeah, you do know he spent months reading all sorts of books just to impress you right? He isnât actually as smart as he pretends to be. He just memorizes a bunch of stuff the days leading up to your date.â
You huff in annoyance, âYeah, I knew that on our first date when he took me to that French film. But I donât love him because he can tell me facts about the mesozoic era. I love him because heâs him.â
Nancy and Robin share a knowing look.
âYou love him?â Robin whispers.
âWhat?â
âYou just said you love him,â Nancy clarifies.
You breathe in deeply before letting it out, the weight of what you said finally sinking in. âYeah, I do. I really do.â
Both girls squeal as they pull you into a hug, face masks and nail polish quickly forgotten.Â
You fall asleep that night knowing the next time you see Steve youâll tell him. Tell him how much you love him and how he means to you.
_
Unfortunately for you and Steve, you arenât able to spend any time alone lately. Work is crazy for the both of you and any time you have off itâs spent with the group. While you love spending time with your friends, youâre dying for a second alone with Steve. A second that only you both can cherish when you finally tell him how you feel.Â
Youâre hoping you can finally catch a moment alone with Steve at the summer bonfire by Loverâs Lake. Almost every young adult in Hawkins comes out of hiding for this annual bonfire, usually thrown by college kids as a final hurrah before summer break is officially over. You hung out with Nancy and Robin for a while and meet some new people, but youâre arenât able to find the one person you want to see. You finally spot him parking his car and hurriedly shoving his family video vest in the trunk, but before you call out to him youâre blocked by a freckled boy wearing a smug smile.Â
âWell if it isnât the new genius of Hawkins,â the boy teases, voice filled with malice.
You smile politely, âIâm sorry youâreââ
âIâm Hagan. Tommy Hagan, surprised Steve hasnât mentioned me considering we used to be the best of friends before he became a loser.â
Youâve heard about Tommy, mostly through passing from Nancy and Jonathan and based on Steveâs disgruntled face every time his name was mentioned, you decided Tommy Hagan wasnât worth your time.Â
âHow can I help you?â You ask in a monotone voice to show how disinterested you are.Â
Before Tommy can start you feel a pair of arms wrap around your waist and lips brush against the side of your head. You turn to see Steveâs grimace at Tommy before his eyes soften landing on you.Â
âHi hon,â he whispers gently, his left arm moving from caressing your hip to soothing the ache in your shoulder.Â
âHey baby.â For a second itâs just the two of you lost in each otherâs eyes, you wonder if everyone else can see how lovesick you are for Steve. Before you can whisk him away for yourself Tommy interrupts again.
âDamn, Harrington. Didnât think Iâd see you go all soft again after what Wheeler did to you.â
You rolled your eyes at the mention of Nancy. Itâs been years, both Steve and Nancy were over it, being happy for each other and supporting each other as friends. Yet everyone still brought it up because they had no other dirt on Steve.Â
âDidnât know you were home for the summer Tommy,â Steve replies ready to end the conversation with his former friend.Â
At this point you see Jonathan and Eddie glancing from their spot near the fire. Both of them looking at Steve, silently asking him if he needed them. Steve shakes his head at them and squeezes your shoulder readying to lead you away.Â
âYeah, summer is the only time I have off now. Between college and my internship. Itâs hard out there man, but you wouldnât know that, would you?â Tommy smirks knowingly as he pushes Steveâs buttons. He knows college has always been a sore spot for Steve especially since he was still stuck working at Family Video.Â
Steve grunts in response hoping his disinterest is enough to stray Tommy away from the both of you, but with Steveâs luck Tommy turns his attention to you.Â
âSurprised he can keep up with a genius like you sweetheart.â
You wrinkled your nose in disgust, the term of endearment turning sour coming from a mouth other than Steveâs.
Tommy continues to go on, swaying from the few too many drinks heâs had. âDid he tell you he barely passed high school? His dad complained to mine about how much of a disappointment he turned out to be. Canât even get a job at his dadâs firm with the brain he has.â
Steve loosens his grip around your shoulder, cheeks flushing in embarrassment.Â
âYouâre telling me your girl hasnât caught on to the kind of screw up you are Harrington? You sure sheâs a genius, or maybe you found someone that aligns with your IQ.â
At this point everyone is watching the words fly out of Tommyâs mouth, some snickering others shooting Steve looks of pity. Tommy Hagan is ripping him to shreds in front of everyone and yet all he can focus on is you. A look of disappointment mixed with frustration glazing over your otherwise sweet disposition. He sees his friends pushing their way through the crowd but before they could defend him he hears your honey like voice calling out for Tommy.Â
âWhat university did you say you go to, Tommy?â you ask sweetly.
âIndiana University of Business,â he smirks behind his beer.
âAnd Iâm assuming your daddy paid for it? Cause you sure as hell didnât get into school by your merit, considering you spent most of high school with your head so far up peopleâs asses that you couldnât get enough oxygen to your brain. Hence, why you and your stupid ass are still playing into high school politics at your grown ass age.â
The smugness on Tommyâs face disappears.Â
âAnd what do you want to do with your future Tommy? Join daddyâs business? Turn out exactly like him? Cause last I heard he spends more time with his new family than he does with you. Maybe he finally got a child he actually loves.â
You knew it was a low blow, bringing up Tommyâs family issues, but you couldnât care less. After everything he said to Steve, he had it coming and you only wish you were around in high school so you couldâve put him in his place earlier.Â
You heard a low whistle from Eddie, âWell guess the shows over folks. And looks like we have a clear winner.â
People start clearing out going back to mind their own business and you grab Steveâs arm leading him far away from Tommyâs frozen stance.Â
âGuess the secretâs out,â Steve mumbles.
âHuh?â
âNow you know Iâm not really smart, so..â he trails off.
You smile, arms twisting around his waist pulling him close. âYou know, Iâve met a lot of smart people in my life, but don't you dare, even for a second take Tommyâs words to heart. Because I know you, and I know that youâre the greatest person Iâve ever met.â
Steve pinches your chin, holding your gaze before whispering out a shy âyeah?âÂ
You hear the insecurity laced in his voice as you nod fervently. âI kinda figured you werenât as smart as you let on from our first date, but I said yes because even though you arenât a brainiac you have a heart of gold. I see the way you take care of the kids, how you take care of your friends. And I love how you take care of me. I love you and everything about you, Steve Harrington.â
Steve blushes, his cheeks turn a rosy hue as he grabs your waist pressing his lips to yours in a kiss so sweet you think youâll get a toothache.Â
âYou really love me?â
âI really do.â
Steve presses another kiss before murmuring out an I love you against your lips.
Yeah, Steve Harrington is stupid. Stupidly in love with you.Â

Skincare with the strawhats
A/n: I'm somewhere on episode 500 in One Piece. And looking back at my valorant post... I really did Franky, Jimbei, Chopper, and Brook wrong. But uh... I'll try to do better :D!! Btw this excludes Chopper cuz...how?
âLuffy, I'd say wouldn't understand much about it. I mean, he probably knows and have heard a bit from Nami and Robin but that's that.
âWhen you first explained it to him, he was half-listening, so he was a bit shocked when you sprayed some water on his face.
âWould think of it as a fun game and splash some water onto you too (your clothes sadly got wet :[)
âWhen you start adding some cream onto his face he found it funny and started making weird faces.
âOver some time, he'd actually start liking it and would start expecting one every week (and maybe even every day)
âAnd even if you guys were to do skincare every day, he'd either fall asleep or cause some ruckus. No in-between.
"Hey, Y/n!! Can we do the skinmare thing again??"
"It's skincare, Luffy, and yes."
âOverall, 6/10. He's not the worst, but there is definitely better.
âIt's either Nami who will bring it up or you.
âShe's the best to do skincare with since she got everything. Like everything
âWould prolly make you pay when you use one of her stuff (w/h or w/o permission)
âWould actually give you a piece of advice on what or what not to do though.
âWhile doing skincare, Nami will tell you gossip about the crew or from the last island.
âIf you get on her good side, she might give you one of her equipment.
âWould secretly charge you money for all the wrongdoings you did though. And an extra 10,000 berries because you asked her to do skin care.
"Alright Y/n. This session would be 96,000 berries."
âOverall, 9/10. Definitely one of the best. con= -1 because she charges after skincare. Pro= You guys will now have skincare every week.
"No."
âYou have to convince Zoro numerous times (and maybe even guilt trip him) just so he'd say yes.
âHe'd be embarrassed at first and try to stay quiet (he doesn't want the lovesick cook to see him with a headband on and foam on his face)
âHe's blushing so hard from embarrassment so be nice to him. It's also a good opportunity to tease him.
âAlthough too much teasing would opt to make him leave. Unless you ask Sanji instead or tell the crew what was happening to Zoro, that would make him stay back and listen.
âWhile doing skincare, he'd let you take the lead (considering he doesn't even know anything about it) and would only let out some grumbles and whines.
âAfter skincare, he'd look himself in the mirror and touch his face, noticing how smooth it was.
âHe'd then look after the skincare and would ask you about it for more. He won't say it again though, so you better have good ears because he'll be all muttering.
âOverall. 7/10, he's very quiet and wouldn't do much unless you say so.
âSanji would beg for it every. single. day
âAnd you finally had enough and said yes.
âNow before entering the bathroom, you can already smell the rosy perfume outside.
âWOULD have everything and anything. Maybe even more than Nami's skincare collection.
âHe'd know what type of face skin you have AND the type you use. So it was no surprise when your essentials were already out.
âHe'd beg give you assistance 24/7 while doing skincare
âHe'd also ask you if you're feeling uncomfortable, having fun, and would ramble on about some new recipes he's learned.
"I hope you had fun today Y/n. I'm looking forward to the next."
âOverall, 10/10. He knows what you need and what you like. He also think of your situation/feelings, and that itself makes it 10/10 already.
âUssopp would fly over the moon when you asked him.
âHe'd gladly accept it and tell you he had a lot of experience in skin care (which isn't technically a lie since he knew some of it from Kaya)
âBut of course, he'd still be scared and shaking. What if you didn't like it? What if you don't wanna do skin care with him again?
âHe'd be rather stiff at first. Scared to disappoint you.
âBut minutes later he'd start to cool down and come back to his normal self.
âNow every time you both will have skincare time. He'd have a bunch of stories saved up only for you.
"Oh Y/n! I have another story for you later."
âOverall, 9/10. He's really fun to be with and is def one of the best to do skincare with.
âYou'd have to ask Robin to join you
âShe never really thought of doing skincare together unless you bring it up.
âAnd you really know when to pick out the dates since she was so stressed at first T~T)>
âBeing around a chaotic and childish crew could really stack up stress.
âBut a simple skincare could really help it get out.
âRobin really much appreciated what you did. Especially when you massage her face and shoulders.
âIt isn't only one-sided. She'd help you out by giving some advice and ideas when she sees you frowning at your own face. Even giving out some compliments.
"This has really helped out my day, Y/n. Thank you very much."
âOverall, 9/10. Really nice to hang out with, and would crack a dark joke once in a while.
âFranky would definitely say yes and strike a pose.
âHe'd know a lot of this from Mozu and Kiwi and would sometimes buy them the products that they wanted.
âAnd since he's basically the crew's shipwright, he had definitely tried to recreate the product the stores have.
âBut wait. It felt itchy when you tried it? Don't worry, he made a new one already. One that you'll definitely find lovely.
âYou don't like how he designed it? Don't worry, he made an even bigger one with a design you'll like.
âBrook is jumping in joy and is asking to see your panties.
âUntil he realizes he's a skeleton.
"Yohohoho! I'm really exci--oh..."
âOverall, 7/10. He's good for emotional support...I guess?
âLastly, our good man Jimbei.
â(I only saw Jimbei a few times due to Impel down and Marineford so uh...)
âI'd say that skincare never really crossed his mind. I mean he IS a fishman after all.
âBut once you told him about it and how it can help you relax, he decided to take up the offer.
âHe's probably embarrassed and just standing dumbfounded. What was he gonna do?
âBut dw since you helped him </33
âAND OMG HE TIED UP HIS HAIR INTO A FULL BUN?!?!?!?!? AHHHHHH (I'm fangirling DD:...i'M SORRY JIMBEI WS SO COOL)
âBut back to the story. I'd say he really enjoyed that. AND OF COURSE HUGS!!! HUGS ARE VERY MUCH NEEDED!!!
"Thank you for this, Y/n. I very much appreciated it."
âOverall, 7/10. He's pretty much quiet and doesn't know what to do. But the silence is really comforting.
A/n: AND OH MY I FINISHED IT!!! I STARTED ON THIS AT 2 PM AND NOW ITS 5 PM HUHU!! ENYWAYSSSS I HOPE YLL ENJOYED IT, LOVE YALL MWA

WIP excerpt for Marina; a fake cryptid and a real romantic. (( chrono || non-chrono ))
âOkay,â he says cheerfully. âTried YouTube yet? Theyâve got tutorials for everything on there. I found a guy who taught me how to change my oil and tie a Windsor knot.âÂ
âDid you not know how to tie a Windsor knot?â Tim asks, both clearly puzzled and clearly a trust fund kid.Â
âNaw, Bruce or Alfie always just materialized it for me whenever it came up,â Dick replies with an easy shrug. âAlso had to learn how to shave from Ollie, which was definitely an experience. But Dinah taught me how to smuggle a full bottle of Jack into a bar in fishnets at the same time, which is actually really useful knowledge so remind me to pass that one on later. Donna and I literally saved most of San Francisco and our favorite coffee shop that way once. Oh, and Harvey was the one who explained taxes existed. Did not know those were a thing âtil I was like, twenty.âÂ
Twenty-ish, anyway. Well, heâs twenty-three now, probably, so . . . eh, twenty-two at the latest.Â
â. . . your life experiences are not universal,â Tim says after a long pause, like getting wooed with handmade nests and giant diamonds by a half-alien superclone and knowing how to tie a Windsor knot at age fifteen is somehow âuniversalâ. No one in this conversation has been even slightly âuniversalâ in their life experiences.Â
âAre you telling Superboy about Robin yet?â Dick asks, and Timâhesitates, a little.Â
âI didnât think it was mine to tell,â he replies carefully. âMost of the Justice League doesnât even know about Robin.âÂ
âI told the Titans,â Dick replies with a shrug. âAnd Uncle Clark.âÂ
âJasonââ Tim starts, and Nightwingâs sleek feathers all instantly, involuntarily twitch. Tim cuts himself off, and Dick . . . doesnât say anything, for a moment.Â
Jason never told anyone about Robin.Â
Though the Joker was pretty bored when he figured it out, apparently. A ârealâ person wasnât as interesting as the mask. The mask being a mask wasnât as interesting, maybe.Â
( Dick doesnât think about how much RAGE it puts in him, thinking about the Joker cutting Jason out of Robinâs wings and finding him BORING. thinking he was LESS than, thinking he wasnât worthâÂ
itâs not the time for that. for any of that.Â
itâs not. )
âYouâre your own Robin,â Dick says. âItâs up to you who you tell what.âÂ
âI did tell Steph,â Tim says awkwardly, looking away. âWell . . . I mean . . .âÂ
âYou donât have to explain yourself to me, baby bird,â Dick says. âLike I said: youâre your own Robin.âÂ
âBut you were Robin first!â Tim practically bursts out, gesturing sharply with Robinâs wings. âAnd it just . . . it feels wrong, to tell people! Like itâs someone elseâs secret. I only actually told Steph because I felt like I had to, if we were gonnaâif we, you knowâbut Superboy doesnât care whether Iâm human or not, and she did, and . . . I never felt right about telling her anyway. Just because I thought I was supposed to, not because I . . . sorry. Just . . . I donât know. Iâm sorry.âÂ
( âIâM sorry,â Dick doesnât say back, because he can never say that to Tim while heâs wearing Robin.Â
it never ends up as him saying it to TIM, when he tries to. )

One afternoon, Alfons and I were being briefed on our next mission.Â
Victor: Thatâs the general outline of it. Additionally, I have a favour to ask of you twoâŚÂ
Dariusâ Voice: Itâs me. May I come in?Â
Victor: You may.Â
Upon being granted permission, Darius entered the room with Nica and Ring.Â
Victor: You came at the perfect time, I was going to talk about you.
Darius: I saw Miss Fairytale Keeper enter the room with Alfons earlier, so I figured as much.Â
(Does Victorâs favour have something to do with the members of VogelâŚ?)Â
Victor: Actually, I was asked if one of the Vogel members could accompany you on a mission.Â
Victor: Iâm thinking that itâd be a good idea for this mission. What are your thoughts, Alfons and Kate?Â
(This mission is to find out the time and place of a transaction involving âillegal drugsâ.)Â
(Weâre only going to eavesdrop on the targetâs conversation, so it shouldn't be a problem to have more people with us.)Â
Kate: I think it's fine with me.Â
Alfons: I don't mind as long as I get to choose who comes with us.
Darius: Fufu, who will you choose?
Ring: Iâll cut every single member down if anything happens to Dari or Nica.Â
Alfons: Ooh, how scary! But thereâs no need to worry.
Alfons: The one I choose is you, Ring.Â
Ring: ⌠Me?
Surprised to hear that he was chosen, Ring cast a glance at Darius.
Darius: Isnât that great? I think you can learn various things from this.Â
Darius: So⌠Pass auf dich auf / Have a nice one.Â
Ring: ⌠Alles klar / Understood.Â
And so, the first mission with Alfons, Ring, and I began.
âŚ
The day of the mission. Ring stared wide-eyed at me when he boarded the carriage.Â
Ring: W-whatâs with that outfitâŚÂ
Kate: I put it on for the mission. ⌠Do I look weird?Â
Ring: ⌠I was just a little surprised because you look different from usual.Â
As Ring gave a blunt response, Alfons put an arm over my shoulder.Â
Alfons: It suits Miss Robin, doesnât it? I picked out this dress for her.Â
Alfons: She looks so lovely it makes you feel like you want to pin her down and get dirty with her, doesn't she? I understand that feeling.
Ring: WhaâŚ! I- I never said anything like thatâŚ
Alfons: My, are you secretly thinking about it then? What a pervert.Â
Ring: I would never! ⌠Youâre exactly as the rumours say you are. âA walking offence to public moralsâ!Â
Alfons: I donât deny that, but isnât your reaction too exaggerated, Ring? You sound like a virgin.
Alfons: I wonder if you can handle this mission when youâre so innocent⌠Iâm worried.Â
Alfons: Since youâre not used to women, perhaps we should have someone else replace youâÂ
Ring: W-wait⌠I have plenty of experience with that, so I don't have any problems completing the mission.Â
Alfons: Is that so? Thatâs a relief then. Isnât it, Miss Robin?
Kate: Y-yesâŚÂ
Alfons continued talking to Ring amusedly, his facial expression looking as though he had found a new toy.Â
On the other hand, Ring looked uncomfortable and was clearly not liking Alfonsâ teasing.Â
(... I hope we complete the mission without any problemsâŚ)Â
âŚ
The carriage sped through the streets and arrived at a large mansion in the suburbs.Â
Alfons: Allow me to explain about this mansion which is the location for our mission.Â
Alfons: This mansion is a meeting place for people who indulge in illicit love affairs.Â
Alfons: All forms of love are accepted here⌠regardless of social status, gender, or marital status.
Alfons: Therefore, all conversations between the pairs that take place in this mansion are kept strictly confidential.Â
Ring: That makes it the perfect place for criminals to meet in secret.Â
Alfons: Exactly. Moreover, participants can choose to get a key to a private room to enjoy some alone time together as a pair.
Alfonsâ explanation reminded me of what happened when we first arrived at the mansion.

Butler: Please hold, dear guests. The rooms can only be used by two people. Three isâŚÂ
Alfons: No need to worry. We don't intend to have a threesome.
Alfons: He and I are competing for this ladyâs love. Isnât that right, Ring?Â
Ring: Huh!? Y-yeah⌠thatâs right.
Despite not fully understanding the situation, Ring seemed to be going along with Alfonsâ story.
Alfons: She will choose between Ring and I later on.
Alfons: It wonât be a problem if we only obtain the room key after that, right?
= Flashback End =Â
Kate: We have to choose the room next to our targetâs in order to eavesdrop on their meetingâŚÂ
Kate: Thatâs why you made it seem as though two of you are competing for me, then weâll find out which room our target is in and get our key.Â
Alfons: Your quick understanding is very helpful.Â
Ring: ⌠I wasnât told about this mansion prior to starting the mission.
Kate: It was my first time hearing about it too.Â
Alfons: Ah, I withheld that piece of information on purpose.Â
Kate: What.
Ring: Withholding information⌠is this Crownâs way of doing things? Or were you trying to trap meâŚ?Â
Ring: Whichever it is, I guess I donât have the right to complain if you were to kill me right here and now.Â
Kate: P-please calm down, Ring! Iâm sure he had his reasons for doing that. ⌠Right, Alfons!?Â
Alfons: Why did I withhold information, you askâŚ? It was for Ringâs sake.
Ring: For my sake?Â
Ring looked at Alfons suspiciously.Â
He was definitely feeling the same way I was â âthis man canât be trustedâ.Â
Alfons: I figured that youâd get nervous if you knew weâd be pretending to compete over a woman⌠so I chose not to tell you until the last minute.Â
Alfons: But you said youâre very experienced, right? My worries were unfounded then.Â
Rint: R-right. No need to worry about me.
Kate: What about me? Why didn't you tell me?
Alfons: Because youâll feel bad if Ring was the only one kept in the dark.Â
(I canât deny thatâŚ)Â
Alfons: Well then. Weâll have to find out which room our target choseâ
Alfons: And Kate will have to choose one person between Ring and myself to be her lover.
Alfons: If this goes as I expected, Iâm the one youâll choose, right? Iâll make you feel good today too, as always.Â
Ring: ⌠I won't let that happen.
Ring: As a member of Vogel, I canât afford to make a fool of myself here.
Ring: Iâm the one Kate will choose.
Tension sparked between Ring and Alfons.Â
(Whatâs going to happen with this missionâŚ?)

How I think each character would react to Tim not taking care of himself:
Dick:
As the most Older Sister coded character Iâve ever heard of, I think heâd struggle to not immediately try and take everything on for his brother. Heâd want to lessen his work load and have a long talk with him about being responsible for his wellbeing but would also be scared to overstep and cause any kind of rift.
Eventually I think heâd settle on asking Tim to just take a shower and eat something. Heâd start small, not making it as an order because he doesnât want to be a douch, but firm enough that Tim can pick up his concern.
Dick is 100% the type to check on him several times and make sure heâs hydrated and well rested, especially after a bad night, to the point that it might be a little overbearing.
Heâd probably also make sure Bruce would respond as best her could when the man seems hellbent of being allergic to emotion.
Jason:
Now, while I donât think Jason is as emotionally unstable as a lot of people think he is due to the pit, I do think heâs awkward as hell when it comes to Robins. Everyone knows he loves kids and is basically a guardian of all children in Gotham, but his fear of his fate becoming theirs probably gets to him.
So when he sees Tim fixating on a case thatâs either cold or old enough to not be relevant, he quickly realises that the boy is also it as obsessive as Bruce is with the Joker, just more brood with his obsession being all crime.
Jason sees his once unyielding desire to help people like him in a (mostly) spoilt rich kid and feels those good old heart strings yank.
Unlike Dick, heâs not as worried about coming off as an asshole and quickly becomes determined to get Tim into a comfortable bed with a good book that wonât drive him mad looking for clues. He uses his strength against the younger lad and gets Alfred to help him convince Tim to eat some proper protein food.
When Tim mumbles a tired âthank youâ to Jason, his instinct is to say no problem before running off to hide away from his family so he doesnât have to confront that maybe the poor kid who had to take after him is better than he ever was.
Damian:
Growing up with assassins leaves Damian with as many emotional troubles as his father, but luckily for the youngest active Robin, he has good around him now.
When he notices Tim has been in the same spot at the Batcomputer since he saw him that morning, he just assumes that heâs doing important Red Robin work. Itâs only after he looks at the screen and sees that Tim is actually going over how the sewer system all the way in Metropolis is going that he scoffs and begins to drag Timâs chair over to the elevator.
Tim by this point would be used to his brother doing this as his odd way of showing care.
He learns to relent quickly because Damian will make good on his threat to get Alfred or Bruce and tell on him for his lack of self care.
Damian doesnât talk to his brother, never knowing what to say, but he is a smart kid whoâs more observant that people give him credit for. So, he will put Tim in front of his room and shove him inside before standing In front of the door until Tim goes to shower.
Then itâs just a matter of asking Pennyworth for some food and leaving it on Timâs bed along with Alfred the Cat (who is far better physical comfort than he is) and then promptly deny he ever did anything outside of making sure Red Robin was fit for combat.
If he sometimes makes Tim herbal tea without any help, thatâs no oneâs business.

hello!! platonic sunday, aventurine and gallagher with a teen!reader who is like nene kusanagi?
Hello Anon!! Thank you for the request, and I hope you'll like this!!<33
Content: Platonic relationships, teen reader, mentions of social anxiety, fluff, sfw
Reader has no set pronouns!
((Not fully proofread))
ăAVENTURINE
Aventurine doesn't mind your shyness, nor your inability to talk to most people who aren't him or other people you know. He understands it and tries his best not to push you into doing anything you don't want to, ofcourse.
However, this doesn't mean that he won't help you get out of your shell slowly over time. Not that it would be hard to sometimes have to make you socialize whenever he was out on business with you dragged along as always. He'll do most of the talking though, so that he doesn't stress you out too much. He knows that the spotlight can be too harsh at times.
He adores your bluntness alot and even more that you care for him, despite how sharp your words sometimes can be. In a way, he finds himself lucky, knowing that you only open up to him in this way, which helps him over time open up to you as well. It makes him respect and appreciate you alot.
ăSUNDAY
He understands your unwillingness to socialize completely, and luckily for you, there is no need for it with him. You most likely stay in his dreamscape estate anyway for your own safety and so most of your days are spent in peaceful solitude, other than the few times Robin or Sunday come to speak and dote on you.
He still makes you join him in some meetings, however, as he views it as important for you to learn his way of work. He knows that you don't like it and are too shy to actually speak with strangers properly, which is why he'll let you leave alot earlier, it he sees your social battery draining.
Your bluntness is one Sunday enjoys and appreciates alot because he knows you care deeply for him and his sister, yet simply have a very direct way of showing it. It's also like a breath of fresh air, from all the fake emotions and facades he has to put on daily.
ăGALLAGHER
He may understand your shyness and reservations towards strangers, but that doesn't mean he'll let you off easy. Quite the contrary, in fact, as he'll definitely make you socialize in the best way he knows how, and that is by making you help him out in the bar. You can call him cruel for it, but he wants to toughen you up a little before the dark world outside does it.
You mainly just take orders and hand patrons their drinks, which eventually makes you start talking to them. It was a slow and even somewhat agonizing process for you, but eventually, you found yourself actually holding full conversations with them.
Your bluntness paired with your deep care for people made you a perfect little helper around the bar, as you became a favorite amongst the patrons to speak to and laugh with. Gallagher would watch you with a proud smirk from the back of the bar as he practically patted himself on the back with a happy nod.
I hope this was okay, Anon, and thank you again for the request!!<33

The Turkey Baster Experiment
Summary: Her cousin just had a baby via turkey baster, supposedly. Robin had to find out if it actually works. Based on this.
A continuation of me cleaning out my drafts.
1990, Chicago, Illinois
The Rockie Harrison Apartment (named in combination of all of their names)
It was Robin and Eddie's day off of work, so they were busy lounging in their pajamas watching Scooby-Doo. Their partners hadn't been so lucky. Steve was working as a middle school teacher, so of course, he didn't have a day off during the week. Vickie was working in a library at a different school, unfortunately, while she worked on also publishing her own book. Eddie worked as a mechanic. Robin worked at a bakery while also tutoring kids with their Spanish and French on the side. Some of them were rich kids, so occasionally, she could afford to take a few days off like she was now.
"You're such a Velma," Eddie said with a shake of his curls.
"You say that like it's a bad thing," Robin said. "Velma is very cute."
"That would make Vickie Daphne?" Eddie asked.
"Duh, she can be such a Daphne sometimes," Robin grinned fondly.
"Steve is such a Fred," Eddie sighed dreamily.
"You're definitely a Shaggy," she said. "And the kids are definitely all Scooby."
"Robin. . .I'm feeling that empty nest thingy again!" Eddie exclaimed and pouted.
"It has been almost a year since they've graduated, and we moved here. Weeks since they've called us. It's not like we practically raised them or anything," Robin pouted. "Do you think they've forgotten about us?"
After the kids graduated high school, Steve and Robin decided to move to Chicago with their partners, who were happy to move anywhere as long as it wasn't Hawkins. It was in Chicago that they found a lovely abandoned old firehouse. It took some TLC, but it was liveable, and it housed them all perfectly. Plus, Eddie loved the pole that went down to the first floor, specifically when Steve used it as a stripper pole. Vickie and Robin had vowed never to use it once they learned what they did with it.
"Rob, they're in college now. El, Lucas, and Max are starting this new relationship. Will and Mike are still dancing around each other since Will broke up with Gareth. They're probably really busy," Eddie shrugged and then paused to wail, "They have forgotten about us!"
Suddenly, the phone rang, and Robin nearly broke her neck, jumping over the back of the couch to answer it.
"Oh, hey, mom," Robin said.
Eddie sighed and crossed his arms, pouting in his seat.
"Darn kids," Eddie muttered.
He focused on the show as Robin talked with her mother. Occasionally, he lifted his head when he heard Robin gasp about something. When the phone call was done, the episode of Scooby-Doo was finished, and another one was starting.
"What was that about?" Eddie asked Robin.
"My cousin finally had a baby. Although she didn't tell anyone that she was pregnant and it's crazy how she got pregnant in the first place," Robin said.
"Not the normal way?" Eddie asked in surprise.
"Well, she and her husband have been trying to have a baby for a while, but it hasn't happened, so she decided to take matters into her own hands," Robin said.
"She fucked another guy?!" Eddie gasped.
"Nope," she said.
"She fucked another girl?" Eddie asked in confusion.
"Dingus! No! She used a turkey baster and get this: she didn't use her husband's sperm to do it. She used his brother's!" Robin exclaimed.
"There's no fucking way," Eddie scoffed.
"She did. Her husband only found out because he went to the doctor and discovered he couldn't have kids," she said. "She told him the truth when he confronted her."
"No, not that. There's no way she got pregnant using a turkey baster," Eddie said.
"She did!"
"Did not!"
"Did too!"
"Didn't."
"Did."
"Didn't!"
"I'll prove it," Robin said.
"Fucking how?" Eddie asked.
"You have a turkey baster of your own. You should be able to understand the concept of how she did it," Robin said, narrowing her eyes at him.
"No, I mean how the fuck are you going to prove it?" Eddie asked.
"Well, we have a turkey baster, and I happen to be ovulating," Robin said.
"Okay, so what happens if you do get pregnant?" Eddie asked.
"Then you get a baby like you and Steve have been talking about," Robin said. "Although Vickie's been kind of broody lately too."
"So, this kid would have two moms and two dads?" Eddie asked.
"Yeah," Robin said.
"This kid is either going to be the queerest kid ever, or we're all so queer that they're going to be the straightest person alive," Eddie snickered.
"Either way, because of us, they'll be the fast talking son in the west," Robin said.
"It could be a girl," Eddie said.
"No, it's play on words for - never mind. Are we doing this or not?" Robin asked.
"Hmm, maybe Steve and Vickie are right. Maybe we shouldn't hang out without them," Eddie said.
"Coward," Robin said.
Eddie and Robin stared at each other for a while. Eddie glared at her.
"Do it," Eddie said.
"You're up first, big guy," Robin said.
"Right."
Robin gave him a cup and shoved him into the bathroom. She waited rather impatiently outside the door. A couple of minutes later, she heard him groan in frustration.
"Problems? Just think about Steve at the beach when he ate that vanilla ice cream cone, and it started dripping into his sweaty, hairy beast of a chest, but instead of you gawking at him like an idiot, you reach over and start licking - "
"Okay, it's up! Stop helping!" Eddie shrieked.
Eddie glared at her when he walked out of the room and handed her the cup. She took it, and the turkey baster into the restroom, her head held high. He leaned against the wall, smirking when he heard Robin complain loudly.
"Well, if I didn't know I was a lesbian before this, this is definitely what would turn me. Disgusting!" Robin exclaimed.
"I've heard no complaints from Steve when he swallows!" Eddie exclaimed cheerfully.
"Gah!" Robin exclaimed as she came out of the bathroom. "It's done."
"Now what?" He asked.
"Now we wait," Robin said.
She threw herself down on the couch, turned herself upside down, and threw her legs over the back of the couch.
"What are you doing?" Eddie asked.
"Helping your little guys find their way," Robin said. "Plus, it's a cool way to watch Scooby-Doo."
Eddie shrugged and copied what she did.
"Now, we wait," Eddie said.
An uncertain amount of weeks later. . .
Eddie was alone in the apartment while Vickie took Robin to a doctor's appointment. Steve was at work. Eddie was working on writing music when the door to the apartment burst open. Vickie stared at Eddie while Robin stood nervously behind her.
"Did you get my girlfriend pregnant?" Vickie asked.
"It was her idea! She seduced me!" Eddie said.
"How?!" Vickie asked.
"She called me a coward!" He exclaimed.
Vickie giggled and threw herself at him, hugging him tightly.
"It's hard to stay mad at the mother and father of my child even if it was reckless of you guys," Vickie laughed again. "Just wait until Steve comes home."
"Oh God, Steve," Eddie realized, his face pale.
Eddie waited around nervously for Steve to come home. When he finally did, he walked in with a smile on his face. Oh good, he had a decent day. . . It was a decent day that Eddie was probably about to ruin. He walked up to Steve, greeting him with a tight hug and a kiss. He snuggled into Steveâs side, his cheek pressed against his. Eddie traced patterns in his chest.
"Hi," Steve said, looking at him in confusion.
"So, how mad would you be at me if I got your platonic soulmate pregnant?" Eddie asked.
"What is this now?" Steve asked with wide eyes.
"Robin's cousin got pregnant by turkey baster, and I called bullshit on that, then Robin wanted to prove it. I jerked off into a cup, and Robin squirted it up her hoo-ha with the turkey baster. Then, several weeks later, here we are," Eddie said and paused. "So, how was your day, sweetheart?"
Steve sighed and rubbed his face with his hands, trying to wrap his head around Eddie's ridiculous description of the situation. He walked into the kitchen, grabbed a beer from the fridge, and plopped down at the table.
"So, how are you feeling about this?" Steve asked Vickie and Robin.
"Excited," Vickie grinned. "We're all going to be parents."
"So, all four of us, huh?" Steve asked.
"Yes," Robin said.
"We're having a baby," he said softly, and then he grinned. "We're having a baby!"
"Three bisexuals, a lesbian, and a baby!" Eddie exclaimed, and they all looked at him. "What? Spock directed that film."
Steve laughed, pulled him into his lap, and kissed him.
"I'm happy this happened, but maybe next time you want to get Robin pregnant, maybe get all of us involved," Steve grinned.
"Hey, I was just trying to prove Robin wrong," Eddie said and smiled softly. "I'm glad I was the one who was wrong."
"I just realized this baby is going to part Robin and Eddie," Steve said.
"Oh god!" Vickie laughed.
"Hey! You guys are supposed to love us!" Eddie exclaimed.
"This baby is going to kick the shit out of me, aren't they?" Robin asked, holding her stomach.
Several months later. . . after many shenanigans during which Robin discovered that she could use Steve and Eddie as her willing puppets. . .
"Wednesday, huh?" Steve asked as he held the baby in his arms.
"You said we couldn't name her after a Scooby-Doo character," Eddie said defensively.
"Besides, you always said you love Wednesday because she reminds you of Max," Robin said.
"I'm not complaining, I love the name," Steve said grinning.
Wednesday Elizabeth Munson-Buckley had started arriving sometime during the middle of the night, much to Robin's annoyance. She had been busy sleeping. Wednesday had arrived that afternoon, surrounded by doctors and all of her parents. Now, here they were in Robin's hospital room, with Eddie and Vickie cooing over Steveâs shoulder.
"You did great, baby," Vickie said tearfully. "She's beautiful."
Vickie kissed Robin deeply before going back to gazing at the baby.
"You want to go next, don't you?" Robin asked her girlfriend.
"What?" Vickie asked.
"If we ever decide to give Wednesday a sibling, you want to be the one that's pregnant, don't you?" She asked in amusement.
"Ooh, both her and Steve could go next," Eddie said.
"Let's just see how this one goes," Steve said, laughing. "But probably."
"Oh, I called Uncle Wayne. He cried like, well, a baby when I told him I wanted to give her a w name in honor of him. He's going to call everyone else and let them know. So, we're probably going to have a full house sometime in the next few days," Eddie said.
Steve grinned and passed the baby back off to Robin. She smiled and stroked the top of Wednesday's head.
"Oh, I want her to have the whole world," Robin said.
"So, you want her to be an evil super villain hellbent on world domination?" Eddie asked.
"It's what she deserves," she said.
"She'll succeed where men have failed," Eddie said proudly.
"Yeah, that's a no," Steve scoffed.
"We're just keeping her options open, Stevie," Eddie said.
"It's not set in stone," Robin said. "We're just letting her know that we'll love her no matter what."
"I'm not supporting our daughter becoming a super villain," Vickie laughed.
"I guess we know who the fun parents are," Eddie said.
It certainly wasn't an everyday situation, and most people would call it abnormal, but to the four of them and the people they loved, it wasn't so strange. Wednesday would grow up to be well loved with four supportive parents and with an extended family to match. Stranger things have happened than a child growing up loved and isn't that the most important thing of all. . . That the child was loved?

the empire starts noticing that their baby emperor will often be more than a little banged up when he comes to see them in person and they are very worried for their baby, competition to be the imperial physician is fierce but also very stressful for the ones with the position because humans aren't exactly new in space anymore but they're not precisely common either. The position of imperial chef and other positions that concern taking care of the emperor and the imperial consorts is even fiercer.
Previously the empire more or less figured that this mysterious "earth" where their baby emperor makes his primary residence is fairly peaceful and a safe place for him to grow. However, stories finally reach the empire, which started very far from earth and very out of the way of any earth related gossip, about constant invasions that target earth and the general chaos that earth faces on a day to day basis. In hindsight for the empire it makes sense that their baby emperor is from such a dangerous world since he himself is very dangerous despite being so young and adorable. No wonder he's been able to handle their own broken infrastructure and the increasingly large responsibilities that they've put on his little shoulders. There is guilt and there is horror that babies are facing this and, again given their relative condition when they visit the empire in person, obviously they are not being properly cared for.
Finally a delegation from the great Red Bird Empire (robins are an earth species with no equivalent in the empire but there are lots of birds and the color red is known) goes to earth, they arrive in their finest discowing formal fashion to petition the protectors of earth to allow a small group of them to make a base on earth to assist their royal family who has taken refuge on the jl protected planet. They are not there to battle anyone or anything. They are there to make sure their emperor and his consorts are fed, have proper medical attention, and access to an appropriate wardrobe as befits their stations. They might also try to persuade their emperor and his consorts to visit the empire in person more often. While he does a fantastic job of governing from a distance (and at this point Tim has arranged things so he really barely does anything except when a new planet joins and each planet is basically self governing) they miss C4 actually being there.
JL internally freaking out a little because apparently they've had an alien prince? princess? king? goddess? emperor? a royal alien family? somewhere on earth for ages and there could have been a huge diplomatic incident if anything had happen to this royal family, like the family being crushed by a falling building during one of superman's fights, or hit by a tsunami, or earthquake, or even just a stupid speeding car. JL is under the impression that the imperial family on earth fled this empire at some point because of political upheaval and this is a group of imperial loyalists that's only just now gotten enough power to come keep a proper eye on the hidden royals. JL is now worried about alien assassins after the hidden imperial family. At least some part of the JL would like this imperial family to leave earth please.
Based on the delegations costumes, at least one member of the league suspects that the hidden prince of the empire is Dick. This is further supported when the imperial keeper of the wardrobe somehow finds out about Discowing and fawns over Nightwing and goes on about their impeccable fashion sense and how they are revolutionary in the field of haute couture.
Batman may have a small aneurysm when he learns that the alien delegation first thinks to set up in his city. Tim might also panic a little because no, that's too dangerous for them! And instead the Kents suddenly have new neighbors on the farm next door. The Kents are also now on the list of suspected royal family of alien empire even though Ma and Pa are definitely human. Somehow the JL absolutely misses Tim and his life partners visiting the alien delegation and none of the C4 is going to actually admit to anything if they can help it. The delegation is also perfectly happy to keep their mouths shut about the identity of their emperor because it amuses their emperor and also admittedly amuses them. The delegates are frequently rotated with other people who fill their various positions, they set up a schedule, so they can return to the empire and compete to maintain their position as imperial caretaker or end up losing their position to someone else or so they can renew their credentials or even just spend time with their families back in the empire.
Fudge. The choas, miscommunication, and both the delegation and C4 being on board with messing with the JL are precious. Essentially, it turns into various members pointing at each other in suspicion. "Are you the hidden royal family?"
In particular, what do Arthur, Diana, J'onn, and Starfire think about all of this?
I'm also glad the delegation decided to rotate the position on earth. It's like a seasonal job.
I wonder how Ma and Pa Kent feel about their new neighbors. Can they even eat pie?
I'm curious what type of systems Tim sets up for the worlds. It's groovy that he's set the worlds up to be essentially self-sufficient. He probably helps them establish connections, rules, trade routes, etc. for interplanetary trade outside of his empire, but otherwise has set up free healthcare, housing for all, welfare systems, etc.

Older Brother Danny Phantom
During the last year that Alfred worked as a secret intelligence officer for England, he was tasked to infiltrate and dismantle a fake ghost hunting branch of the US government. This fake branch that called themselves the Ghost Investigation Ward who was attempting to set up camp on English soil.
During his infiltration using a false identity and credentials, Alfred came across a boy named Phantom. He was the GIWâs âmost prized catchâ. Alfredâs heart ached as he saw the boy get hauled back to his cell day after day. With each day the boy sported more and more injuries from the GIWâs cruel âexperimentsâ.l (Alfred knew damn well what they were doing to the boy was just short of torture and nothing more.)
Seeing the boy get hurt day in and day out, Alfred was more determined than ever to tear this place apart brick by brick. Soon enough, Alfred found enough evidence to prevent the GIWs from ever setting up camp on English soil ever again. After that, the British military invaded the place and took care of the workers while Alfred worked on freeing Dann, which the GIWâs files informed him was actually a boy named Daniel Fenton. The GIWs completely obliterated his hometown and reduced it to rubble. He had no home to return to and was expecting to just live in the ghost zone for the rest of his life. Alfred wouldnât let that stand.
He made the rash decision to raise the boy as if he was his own. He later got hired by The Wayneâs after the butler Jarvisâs passing. Danny stayed in the manor with Alfred in the servant quarters. He wasnât shown to the public and as far as the world knew, Alfred had no family.
Then the tragedy of The Wayneâs occurred on that fateful night. Martha and Thomas Wayne were murdered right before Bruceâs very eyes.
Danny helped Bruce learn to cope with his trauma and searched the Ghost Zone for his parents. (He came up empty handed. Bruceâs parents didnât have a strong enough drive to become ghosts. Bruce appreciated the gesture none the less.) He and Alfred taught Bruce how to fight. He still went on his training journey all over the world but he knew a tad more before his travels than without his ghosty older brother.
Danny doesnât really do anything as Phantom in Gotham. Heâs done with fighting. The GIW capture convinced him that the only thing that would stop those bastards from hunting him was to destroy the Anti-Ecto acts and to dismantle the organization piece by piece.
Danny went to university and got a double major in computer programming and forensic science.
During the years that Bruce was away training, Danny was cracking down on the GIW and managed to successfully expose and fully dismantle the fake government organization.
Danny refused to premiere in Gotham as âPhantomâ. Heâs much rather leave his fighting days behind him and instead when Batman first came to the scene, he was the guy in the chair. Helping Bruce through an earpiece and assisting in putting the pieces of a crime together with the batcomputer.
He does help Bruce with the intimidation factor though. A slight spell to make him blend into the shadows a tad more than a normal person would, a small charm to make his movements seem twitchy and inhuman, a tiny incantation that made Bruceâs eyes glow a bright white, small spells to help make Batman less human and more a symbol of fear.
When the first Robin came around, Danny welcomed Dick with open arms as an uncle figure. Casting charms on Robin to let him glide and make chittering sounds that are impossible to make with human vocal cords.
He helps Jason and when the boy comes back, Danny immediately knows that something is off and collects the boy before he gets whisked away by the League of Assassins. He and Alfred teach Jason how to use a firearm at Jasonâs request and non lethal rounds become Jasonâs preferred weapon.
Danny positively adores Tim. He reminds Danny of himself when he was a teenager. Now in his mid to late 30âs, he recalls those years with a fondness that was definitely affected by rose tinted lenses. He takes him under his wing and teaches the boy about magic and how to integrate it into technology.
Damian instantly attaches himself to Danny the second they first make eye contact. Danny is obviously the most powerful person on the household and respects Damian in a way that surprises the boy. Danny knows Damianâs type well and he, along with Dick, help Damian adjust to the Bats code of vigilantism.
When Danny meets the League, itâs because Klarion summoned the Ghost King. Apparently The Ghost King was a Lord of Order but commonly evil aligned. They all are fearful with whatâs to happen besides Batman. His shoulders relax when he hears whatâs about to happen and informs the League to let Klarion finish his Ritual.
The League thinks that Batman has gone mad but Batman insists. They follow his orders and watch as Klarion calls the Lord of Infinite Realms to the mortal plane.
Danny appears in full Ghost King regalia. Danny positively radiates power in an absolutely terrifying manner. He notices Klarion and frowns. Looking around, he perks up when he notices Batman and Nightwing next to the various League members.
The League is extremely confused that this all powerful god of a being excitedly smiled and waved towards them. That confusion was nothing compared to a few moments later where the King of the Undead started talking to Batman about what was being made for dinner today. That and Tim finally managed to get the wrist portal to work. Batman is silent and simply silently nodding at the appropriate times but Nightwing is happily chatting back and forth with Danny as the Leagues jaws are on the fuckin floor.
Klarion doesnât know what to do honestly. He thought the Ghost King was Pariah Dark, not this lanky inhuman looking figure who was sitting crisscross in the summoning circle and waving his hands animatedly to talk with Nightwing.
Klarion yells to The Ghost King to stop talking and to fight these fools. Danny then stops and the temperature drops a solid 30 degrees. He pauses for a few moments and oh so slowly turns around to Klarion. His eyes now blading with green fire, his limbs extending and gaining extra joints, his teeth growing more and more elongated and sharp. He looms over Klarion and tells him to kindly fuck off and to never talk to him, his brother, or his nephew ever again.
Klarion is fucking terrified as Danny just fully shifts into his true form and looms over the Witch Boy. Klarion hastily agrees and leaves in fear of getting fuckin evaporated by this being that is much more powerful than him.
The League is freaking out because âNephew?!?!â âBrother?!?!â What?! How on earth was the fuckin ghost king related to Batman?
Flash asks Nightwing and Dick just smiles and goes âhe was adoptedâ and that was that. The League sees Danny more often now. Be sometimes pops into the Watchtower to watch the stars, to help out during watch duty, to check in with the batfamily that is in the watchtower. Sure Shazam and John have an adverse reaction to Danny Initially but they eventually just accept that this all powerful ghost lord is just there to talk to his family.
