Note
do you think you'd ever write like a truly Fat Steve?
(This ask is from June 2024, and I have more that I need to get to. Sorry! I’m working on it, just… no timeline. But I am aware and intend to get to them all at some point, depending on how inspiration strikes. Anyway:)
Tentatively yes. Because! Define “truly fat”? I usually start with the beginning of gaining and/or getting kinky with it because I am obsessed with ✨backstory✨. It’s not a hard and fast rule though.
Here’s a secret about me: I am allergic to numbers, and therefore generally won’t be very specific about exact weight or measurements. Bonus secret, in some ways (especially with visuals) my imagination can be very… either literally exact or just vibes, I guess. It requires references, which is honestly just rude. Some have called me a perfectionist; they are correct. So a lot of the time I leave some details kind of vague because I am afraid of something Not Making Sense just because I have a poor sense of proportions.
Okay, all that said, here’s almost 4k words of quite fat Steve.
~
Steve who knows that Eddie was an almost, a one that got away. Steve who overeats because he’s ambivalent about “keeping in shape for the ladies” these days and he likes food, takes to snacking after any time he jerks off the way some people have an after sex cigarette. Steve who ends up living in Chicago because that’s where Robin goes for school, and eventually she talks him into trying community college.
He’s doing alright, although definitely overweight at this point and perpetually on the verge of needing to buy new polos again (half because of his ever growing belly, half because of stains). Still has the BMW—although lately the front seat is getting a little constricting, and don’t even get him started about how tight the seat belt already is. Works two jobs, one in telemarketing slinging shit he doesn’t care about and one at the concession stand at a movie theater, the latter part time with Robin. (He could’ve done telemarketing full time, but she needed a part time job and they can’t work customer service jobs not together, it feels weird. Also, she’s gotten really good at throwing popcorn into his mouth, all the lessons he’s given her on how to aim and account for distance and weight and, like, wind or whatever are finally paying off.
Unfortunately, his car has to go to the shop for a bit and he has to brave public transportation to get to school and the theater job. Not such a big deal—sure, he has to turn sideways to get down the aisle in busses, but as a tradeoff his belly doesn’t have to fight the steering wheel for space.
Then one day, after sighing in relief as he gets to the bus stop and sits on the bench to rest while he waits, someone asks, “Mind if I sit here?” And he looks up, and it’s Eddie Munson.
~
Eddie who never got his high school diploma and left Hawkins as soon as he’d healed up enough to drive, in the hopes of getting folks to stop vandalizing his uncle’s new trailer. Eddie who’s still in a band, albeit a new one since the Corroded Coffin guys couldn’t go with him, and just got back from their first headliner tour around the Midwest—successful enough to be on the radio and have a decent following but not have to deal with paparazzi, which he considers the sweet spot. Eddie who recognizes Steve immediately and can’t not talk to him; he hasn’t stopped thinking about the guy since the day he left, no amount of weight is going to change that.
So he’s actually kind of breathless when he says hello, half from the shock and half because he’d just sprinted a block and a half with smoker’s lungs. When Steve looks up at him Eddie wiggles his fingers, reminiscent of the little wave Steve had given him in Reefer Rick’s boatshed years ago, and adds, “Hi Stevie.”
Unfortunately, Steve is still equally out of breath from walking half a block at a sedate pace. He can’t answer right away, because he is suddenly aware that his body weight has… doubled? More than doubled? He doesn’t even own a scale, so he doesn’t know. But probably at least doubled since Eddie saw him last. He watches basketball on TV instead of playing it these days, because all he does with his free time is laze around and eat. The other day, he’d had to plop his belly down on the counter to take pressure off his lower back while making his lunch (several boxes of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese).
In this moment, he has no idea how Eddie recognized him. He feels huge. He feels fat. And that… whatever it was that always nudged him to eat after getting off (and sometimes, increasingly, before, because he feels hungry so much more often now), it sparks deep in his core.
And it’s Eddie. It’s Eddie.
Steve licks his lips, reaches absently into a pocket, and starts unwrapping a chocolate chip granola bar. “H-hi Eddie,” he stutters, still surprised and eyes wide and, god, he’s so grateful that his big belly and wide thighs thoroughly hide the effect this is having on him.
Eddie says something in reply, but Steve is too distracted to catch it. Too busy chewing, swallowing, finishing the granola bar in three big bites and pulling another from the same pocket (he always brings snacks for the bus) to gobble down the same way. He wants to rock where he sits, get some friction on his stiffening dick—but he’s got some self control, even if it requires a third granola bar to maintain itself.
“Um…” Steve swallows his last bite and squeezes his legs together hard, aware that Eddie looks nervously expectant, like he just asked a question. “Sorry, say that again?”
A ringed hand drifts up, twining into some of Eddie’s curly hair and drawing it across his mouth—nervous habit, one that Steve remembers so well. “Oh, uh. Just… Am I bothering you? I can leave, but. If you don’t want to take the bus I could give you a ride? I'm only parked a few blocks away, I could bring it around and pick you up.”
All Steve can think to say is, stupidly, “I haven’t seen you in years!”
He doesn’t mean it as a no—he’s not mad or anything, just reeling and embarrassed and… hungry—but can tell immediately that’s how Eddie takes it. Those rich brown eyes dim and slant away from his gaze. “Yeah… Sorry, man, I’ll get—”
“Wait,” Steve interrupts, his heart hammering at the thought of losing him again so immediately. “I’m just surprised is all, don’t… don’t go.”
So Eddie tentatively offers that ride again, and Steve accepts while his stomach does all kinds of sluggish summersaults, and since that gets him to the community college campus over an hour early they have time to duck into a nearby cafe and reconnect a bit over coffee.
Well. Eddie has coffee. Steve has a milkshake, a sandwich, and a series of pastries, some of which Eddie gets for him when he notices Steve glancing wistfully back towards the glass case by the register. They talk about what they’ve each been up to, what plans they have, Steve catching Eddie up on all their mutual friends he’d fallen out of touch with, but they don’t talk about feelings. All too soon it’s time for Steve to start making his way to class, so they make plans to meet up later.
~
Steve learns that Eddie is doing very well for himself, has a three bedroom apartment with no roommates, in a building with an elevator and everything. A new truck, sleek and black, with a cover on the back so he can still haul his amps around as needed and (to Steve’s relief) wide, comfortable seats. A perpetually fully stocked fridge—because, he sheepishly explains, his manager hired a service for him when he’s in the city after a few incidents of getting so intensely focused on his music or other projects that he’d forgotten to take care of himself. Central air conditioning, which means that as soon as summer starts both Steve and Robin spend as much time there as possible instead of sweating to death at their place.
And Steve eats so much, because it’s there and Eddie keeps offering. He eats constantly. He eats until his belly is sore and heaving, and his jaw aches, and he can barely pull his shirt down far enough or his pants up high enough to keep himself fully covered.
Robin hardly bats an eye, because she knows him like the back of her hand and nothing he does can ever surprise her, but Eddie never comments on his habits either and that’s… Steve doesn’t know what to make of that. Breaks out in snacks whenever he thinks about that, aware that it could be bad or it could be fine, but knowing that he’s not going to stop either way. He’s just so hungry all the time now, and his willpower isn’t strong enough to try for some bullshit illusion that he doesn’t stuff himself until he physically can’t swallow any more on a regular basis. There’s no chance of hiding what he is.
Fat.
And still, Eddie never comments on it. Part of Steve wonders what he would have to do to break that streak. Another part of him fantasizes about it, working food into his ‘personal time’ routine on an increasingly regular basis. Gasps “What have I done to myself” and “Couldn’t help it, so good, got so big” while he uses one hand to cram more into himself and the other to hold his belly and side rolls, jiggle them, rub and press his own soft mass down against his leaking cock until he comes without even directly touching himself… Something he only does at Eddie’s when he’s sure Eddie is out and not coming home for hours, because Steve knows when to keep his clothes on.
(They still never have talked about feelings. Steve is convinced that Eddie doesn’t feel the same way, or he would’ve said something by now—overlooking the fact that he is pining for Eddie and hasn’t said anything yet either.)
He registers for classes again in the fall. Just one more semester until he has enough credits for some very basic degree, which is a relief because getting around from class to class is really starting to wear on him, huffing and puffing enough that Robin has graciously told him he doesn’t have to keep up their customer service servitude together anymore. The weather starts to cool down, so she isn’t at Eddie’s quite so often—not out of borderline-heatstroke necessity, anyway; they still see each other pretty much every day. But Steve is almost always there, taking up space on the couch that he would’ve sunk a permanent divot into if it weren’t such high quality furniture. Taking up Eddie’s extra phone line for his now full-time telemarketing gig because “It’s extra, Steve, this is exactly the kind of shit it’s for.” He’s practically moved in by accident, though again Eddie has never commented on the fact. One of the guest rooms is pretty well stocked with Steve’s clothes, the bed is sturdy and comfortable, paid for with the money he made from finally selling his BMW since he no longer fit behind the wheel anyway. And Eddie must have one hell of a laundry service too because somehow his clothes never seem to hold stains for long anymore.
(Eddie is, in fact, replacing Steve’s clothes. He doesn’t want the guy to feel embarrassed, it’s natural at that size to overlook just how many spills and oopsies are building up on the fabric, or how waistlines and shirt bottoms are failing to contain his ever-growing bulk. Steve just looks so happy when he’s eating, so content when he’s full. It’s all Eddie can do some days not to touch, so really he’s just trying to save himself from the temptation around sinking into that warm comfort and lose the best friend he’s ever had.)
~
Everything’s great. And then, one day when Steve knows Eddie will be at the recording studio until late, he gives into a greedy impulse and goes all out. He orders round after round of takeout, grazing in Eddie’s kitchen in between deliveries but tries to stick to binging on stuff he’s paid for instead of completely freeloading. (There’s a sting of old humiliation in that, an echo of his father calling him an entitled, spoiled brat, but that just has him ordering more and more to fill up all the space in him so the echoes have nowhere to go.) Knock after knock at the door and he’s beyond comfortably full, rocking to heave himself and his belly that spills over his thighs to standing, coming back with boxes and bags that he’s careful to set within easy reach, sometimes on the shelf of his distended gut. His shirt is so stretched his cavernous belly button is either obvious through the straining fabric or on full display when it rides up, and he’s so lost to everything that the only reason he bothers to keep pulling it down again is to revel in how tight it is. He’s so full.
Occasionally he dozes off and snorts himself awake at the next knock with food still left in the bags, in his hands, in his mouth—and answers the door eating, who cares what the delivery guy thinks, he can’t fall behind, he’s better than that. He doesn’t think much of it beyond a dazed, half-baked fantasy that it’s Eddie coming to feed him, touch him, make him feel nothing short of ready to pop—but it doesn’t make sense, does it. Why would Eddie knock on the door to his own home? Eddie won’t be back until late, anyway.
Steve is about ready to drift again and is laboriously shoveling lo mein into his mouth to try and beat that buzzer. His entire body feels so flushed, stretched, singing with sensory overload that he barely notices (what he later learns is) the sound of a guitar case being fumbled, caught, and set hastily on the floor for its own safety. “Almost there,” he’s panting to himself in between bites, “almost, so fuh—urrrrp. So fucking close… Eds, I need more…”
And then Eddie whispers, “Jesus H. Christ.”
~
Everything’s hard for Eddie these days.
… No, literally.
The apartment is too big for just him; he’d bought it with the intention of moving his uncle out to live with him, but ought to have listened earlier to how adamant Wayne was (and still is) about staying in Indiana. So he’d welcomed Steve eagerly back into his life, and by extension Robin, into his home, and is ecstatic at how closely the other man seems to have taken the invitation to heart. And Robin is great! It’s been wonderful reconnecting to both of them, fellow survivors of a fucked up alternate dimension.
Whenever she’s not there as a buffer, though, Eddie finds that he can’t take his eyes off of Steve. The content look in his half-lidded eyes while he eats and drinks and, sometimes, licks at his own fingers so eagerly that Eddie has to drape the blanket on the back of the couch over his lap fast. The way he seems to go boneless when he’s finally sated, drifting off on some internal cloud while his hands mindlessly rove over the bulge of his swollen belly while Eddie stares, unnoticed, and thinks about Steve’s bulge in every sense of the word so much until it all reverse-kaleidoscopes into a single thing in his head.
Because sometimes Steve forgets himself and lets out these little moans while he’s eating, or his shirt rides up and puts an entire swath of temptingly mole-dotted, stretch-marked skin, and it’s, it’s Steve. It’s Steve. Eddie is helpless but to look while Steve goes for hours on end, and pine in silence, and perish in his bed or occasionally in a bathroom with yet another little death devoted to the guy, this god amongst men, a valiant warrior turned generous Dionysus.
His band keeps teasing him for all the overdramatic metal ballads he’s been churning out lately, but it’s good-natured. They have plenty of new material for a good mix of stuff on the next album.
All summer is exquisite torture, with Steve often too comfortable (full) to want to head home and Eddie all too eager to offer his guest room. Even if it doesn’t mean anything, at least he’s not alone in an empty home—which, yeah, he can spot the irony, oh how the tables have turned and so on and so forth.
Until the night Eddie comes home and nearly drops his beloved Sweetheart, the very guitar that he’d played in the depths of an actual hell.
It’s no defense against the sight of Steve resplendent on the couch, belly standing solid and round from his frame and heaving between gulps of food and air. He looks like he could’ve been gorging himself all day, judging by all the detritus around the couch—so much that Eddie’s not sure how Steve could’ve possibly expected to get it all cleaned up before he got caught, but. Maybe (and Eddie’s throat goes dry at the thought) he’d meant to, but just couldn’t bring himself to stop. It sounds like that might be the case, from the desperate gurgling of his gut and strained burps and the way he’s moaning to himself about close and almost, in a tone Eddie has heard in bedrooms and back alleys way more than any dinner table.
“Jesus H. Christ,” Eddie whispers, because he wants to get his hand on Steve’s bulging gut, hold and jiggle and caress until both of them come. He wants it, he wants—
But Steve has noticed him now. Noticed and jolted, as though trying to get up, except all the motion does is spill the very little amount of noodles still left in the takeout container balanced on his belly. With a sound somewhere between a groan and a whine, Steve tosses the styrofoam trough to flop on the floor and scoops the food off his shirt, ducking his head down as far as his double chin allows to shove it straight into his mouth. Still watching Eddie, making that sound again, and making a more coordinated effort to stand up.
Except he can’t. Falls back with a groan and a ripple of impact that shows across his entire body, belly smacking against his legs that can’t spread far enough to really be apart anymore, and Eddie is by his side without registering crossing the room.
“Steve! Are you okay? Can I do anything?”
“Shir’s tight,” Steve practically slurs, though there’s no evidence of any alcohol nearby. Several empty liters of soda, sure, but no booze. “Help…”
Eddie is already jamming his fingers under the hem of said shirt, wriggling and easing it up until he frees the top of Steve’s belly. He goes to pull it over Steve’s pecs and accidentally finds out those are sensitive, judging by the gasp Steve lets out. But there’s no help for it, Eddie is committed now, his jeans feeling like they’re strangling his dick as his hands drag over Steve’s swollen nipples and forest of chest hair that feels even thicker than it looked in Spring of ‘86.
So soft, radiating warmth and scents of cologne and hairspray and sweat and Steve. Heavy arms jiggling as he lifts them for Eddie to peel the shirt the rest of the way off, and then slumping again as though the effort had cost him dearly. Clutching what he can reach of his belly and moaning.
“Eddie, I, fuck, ‘mso, close—shit.” Steve looks at him with wild eyes, and that’s when Eddie realizes—“Can’t reach, god, Eddie, please, I n-need…”
“Sweetheart,” Eddie breathes, his heart both singing and breaking a little at the desperation in his voice. “You want me to? Can I?”
Fervent nodding, and Steve does his panting best to lift his belly, spread his legs where they’re tight in the sweatpants Eddie thinks he was wearing when he’d left for the studio that morning, wearing most mornings lately. They’d looked tight even then, and now even when he finds the waistband it’s missing the ends of the drawstring poking out it’s so stretched. They also leave nothing about Steve’s predicament to the imagination, an impressive wet spot in the fabric across his erection, going commando underneath.
It’s easier to rip them at both sides than pull them off over his ass, Eddie kneeling on the floor before him now and Steve groaning above that it hurts so good, that he just needs to come and it’ll feel so good. He’s begging, and part of Eddie would wonder if Steve even really registers who’s with him if it weren’t for the moans that sound like Eddie, Eds, baby. And with the rip his belly drops, slaps his bare thighs, wobbles—but Eddie grabs it with both hands and heaves it back up as gently as he has the patience for (not very). Steve cries out, maybe from pain at the jarring motion or maybe from ecstasy as Eddie dives in and wraps his lips around the tip of his weeping dick, sucks him down as far as he can (just the first few inches) with the bulge of Steve’s legs and the fat pad hiding beneath his belly and said belly bearing down on Eddie’s forehead despite his best efforts, Steve spasming in an attempt to roll his hips but he’s pinned himself with hours of overindulgence—
Eddie is determined to show him every blessed and sinful trick he’s learned from being an avid cocksucker all his adult life. This might be his only chance to prove he can be the best Steve’s ever had, he has to.
And just maybe, if the breathless wail Steve lets out as he comes is any indication, he succeeds.
~
Steve graduates from community college, but doesn’t attend the ceremony.
Why would he? The last few months have been a hazy blur of indulgence, of Eddie keeping the snacks dutifully coming while he studied or took telemarketing calls. His doting boyfriend has ferried him from the apartment to classes and back, swinging by as many drive-thrus as needed in transit either way to keep Steve appropriately stuffed and undistracted by hunger, letting Steve lean on him for what felt like longer and longer walks between the parking lot and his classrooms. During finals, at a reinforced bench and table Robin had helped him specifically request as a necessary accommodation, all Steve had needed to do was trace certain stretch marks and daydream about specific treats to recall the information he wanted.
He’s a college graduate. Eddie’s career is enough to support them both, and Robin is happy to come stay with Steve whenever the band is off touring. The farthest he needs to go anymore is from the gigantic bed he and Eddie now share to the couch—though sometimes, if he’s feeling frisky, he’ll go all the way to the kitchen and plop himself down directly in front of the fridge. It’s getting harder to maneuver but so worth it, filling his belly until he aches from how much it weighs him down so that Eddie can come home and find him beached and already red-faced from how worked up he feels.
They celebrate his degree coming in the mail with Steve on his rounded hands and knees, sheet cake in front of him and Eddie behind, railing him face-first into the buttercream, the days of running and screaming and pain and blood so far in the past that Steve can barely remember, barely even think about anything that isn’t the glorious, decadent present.
They’re going to have a party later, with everyone they still keep in touch with from Hawkins coming over and even more cake to indulge in. He has Eddie, babbling love and adoration while working his way towards coming so hard inside Steve that both their toes curl. Robin is—well she’s not here for this part, but she’s his ride or die platonic other half, unshakable for life. Everything, including every messy mouthful of cake and cream and sticky filling, is absolutely perfect.
Steve has never been happier or felt more complete in his entire life, and he can’t wait to keep indulging in more of the same.

Btw I have no idea if it’s known about in the wider fandom, but there’s a sizable amount of riddler-centric fics on AO3 where he adopts Steph after he kills/otherwise maims her father. There isn’t a point to this I just thought you all should know about it

Goodbye World
BatFam Yan! × neglected Magic Girl! Reader 《Platonic!》
Note:English is not my first language, sorry if there is any translation error
Pt: 1 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were going to die
You were going to die this way, alone and without anyone ever knowing of your existence, what a pathetic way to die
The magic had ended, it was only a matter of minutes before you became a witch you knew that the transformation was going to be painful and in a way you believed that you deserved this fate
You were the one who agreed to become a magical girl it is your fault, if your 14 year old self had known that this was the end maybe she would have rejected you
Now you were here, about to die, with no friends or family who cared about you
Family
You didn't know if you could call them that, they never cared about you they always left you aside and acted as if you didn't exist maybe they only did it unconsciously and they really cared about you, you knew that deep down for all of them you were just a burden and useless, they didn't tell you directly but they made you feel it and you believed that they were right to feel that way
Your mother never He was someone important, a prostitute who was lucky enough to sleep with Bruce Wayne himself, you knew he didn't even consider you a daughter, just a mistake, one of his many mistakes
Your siblings weren't that different from your father either, each one hurt and wounded you in different ways
Richard, the oldest considered himself the best, the oldest brother, he always bragged that he cared so much about his siblings that he would do anything for them
He was good to everyone except you, you wanted to believe that he cared about you but you knew it was a lie, he lies, he always lies and you knew it very well, maybe at that time you were too young to understand some things, but you knew that none of them considered you family
You still remember when he promised to go with you to the zoo, it was 5 years ago when you first arrived at the mansion, but he never kept the promise he was only good to you for the first few weeks then it seemed like he didn't care, he was just being good to you out of courtesy
Jason, you didn't have much to say about him, almost You didn't interact and if you did, he would just insult you and tell you to get out of his way while pushing you. You had heard that he had been revived and that thanks to that he now has that personality. You never got to meet him in person since when you arrived at the mansion he had already died.
You tried to get along with him, but it never worked. You always got an insult or a bad look from him. You never understood why he didn't like you. You never said anything to him. You were always good to him and what you received in return were insults. It wasn't fair.
Although, to be honest, nothing in your miserable life was fair.
Tim, you met him when Bruce brought him to the mansion, he was a year older than you but for the first time you thought you could have a friend your age, how wrong you were
At first he was distant, you thought it was because of his parents' death that he behaved that way, you gave him his space and tried not to be too annoying
But time passed and he simply spent his time ignoring your presence, you didn't understand what you had done to make him ignore you, you were good to him and treated him like a brother, why was everyone so mean to you?
When you tried to talk to him he would just tell you that he was busy or that you were being annoying, you knew that he had a lot of activities for being Red Robin, but deep down in your soul, you longed for him to look at you just for 1 second, to realize that he exists and that you are not just the shadow of the family
Damian, you welcomed him with open arms and gave him your support, you thought that since you were blood brothers you would get along better
But the only thing you received was that his katana almost pierced your head, his arrogant attitude and his enormous ego was something remarkable
He never missed an opportunity to tell you how pathetic you were and that you would never be worthy of being his family, that you were a shame, a disgrace that hammered the Wayne name
In a way he was right, you were never anyone just the bastard daughter of Bruce Wayne
With Barbara, Steph and Cass you couldn't say much, Barbara was too busy with her affairs that she didn't even pay attention to you even though Sometimes she asked you how you were, but it was too weird
Stehp was neither good nor bad, she never treated you badly but she ignored you in some way, you never managed to talk to her directly, the only interactions you had with her were sidelong glances but nothing more
Cass, you hardly talk to her, but she was one of the few people who knew you existed, she was a person of few words although she seemed a little interested in you, but they never got to have a long conversation, just a few words like greetings or goodbyes
Your thoughts were cut off after hearing a voice, that damn voice...
"Do you have any last wishes, (name)?"
The cat spoke slowly approaching you, he was the one who had proposed you become a magical girl and you foolishly accepted, you thought that you finally had a true purpose that you could protect another like your family did, but you were too immature and stupid to realize the truth
"Yes...yes, I have one last wish."
You could barely speak, you felt like your body was heavy, it was like you had been stabbed in the back by more than 10 knives
"I hear you."
Kyubey looked too calm, and it was normal, they had already seen millions of magical girls die the same way
"I wish...I wish I could say goodbye to my father, please..."
That sounded more like a plea than a wish, in the back of your mind the only thing you wanted was for your dad to hug you, that this was all just a bad dream and tell you that everything was okay, but you knew it wasn't true
In a few seconds your vision went white and you were back in the halls of the mansion, in front of you was Bruce, walking backwards through the halls
You ran as fast as your legs could and when you reached him you gave him a big hug
Bruce He staggered at the sudden hug, he hadn't even noticed your presence or your steps
He turned his gaze and there you were, his daughter, hugging him tightly, as if you were afraid he would disappear
"(Name), is something wrong? I'm too busy to-"
Before he could speak again you quickly separated from him, you moved away a little before giving him a small smile
"I just wanted to hug a little, but anyway it's time to go"
You said as you stepped back a little
Leave? That word repeated itself in Bruce's head, what did you mean by leave? Before he could process everything you said something
"Oh, I almost forgot, take care of yourself okay? I don't like seeing you hurt"
You turned on your heels and then walked in the opposite direction and as you walked away and left a confused Bruce you shouted
"Hey dad! I love you..."
You said as you turned your head and gave him a sincere smile, you felt like tears were about to fall from your eyes
When you finished speaking you walked again and your presence disappeared the further you went down the halls of the mansion
_
That last interaction with you left him thinking, did you mean when you said "leave"? Even if he tried to concentrate on the cases in the Batcave, it was impossible, he needed answers and he knew where he could get them.
He walked through the halls of the mansion again while looking for your room, but he didn't remember it, how could he forget something so important? He's supposed to be your father but he doesn't even remember your age, the last time he saw you you were so little, a scared little girl who clung to his legs
How much had he missed? But this time it was going to be different
There would be room after room but they all looked the same, until he found one in particular, it was small and it was far from all the other main rooms
It was decorated in pink and lots of fluffy stuffed animals, but something was wrong
You weren't there, you were supposed to always spend your time in your room since you preferred to study from home, or that's what Alfred told him, but there was nothing it's like you had disappeared
He quickly went down the stairs, maybe you were in the kitchen
But to his surprise all the family members were there, except you...
"Has anyone seen (name)?"
Bruce said trying to stay calm, he had searched the entire mansion but there was no trace of you
"Why do you ask?"
Richard seemed indifferent to the question, he didn't understand why Bruce was so nervous
"I've been looking for her but she's nowhere to be found"
Bruce held on to the door, for some reason he felt too nervous, the thought that you might have left or that something might have happened to you made his stomach turn in a bad way
"You worry too much, Bruce, she's probably gone"
Jason spoke while leaning back in his chair, if he was honest he never paid much attention to you, he wondered what had happened to make Bruce so hysterical
"You don't understand, she never leaves the mansion"
Bruce decided to raise his voice, he didn't understand why out of nowhere everyone was so indifferent to you, something too hypocritical seeing from him since he was the one who ignored you first
"You worry too much B, I put a GPS on her a while ago, wherever she is I'll find her"
Tim spoke while writing on his phone computer, his confident tone disappeared as soon as he saw something on his laptop
"What's wrong, it seems like you've seen a ghost"
Jason joked looking at Tim
"I...I can't find her"
Tim didn't understand what was happening, it's like you've disappeared from the face of the earth as if nothing
"What do you mean you can't find her?"
Richard spoke now worried looking at Tim, how was it possible that you disappeared the GPS was too well hidden for you to take it out, something was happening and he didn't like it
"I can't find her I'm serious! It's like... like her existence had completely disappeared"
Tim tried to look for some sign of you but there was nothing, it's like you'd never existed
Everyone turned to look, missing? How was that possible, you never left the mansion and now as if nothing happened you disappeared
"Missing?"
Damian repeated angrily but at the same time, how dare you disappear like this? You are supposed to be his older sister, you should stay in the mansion with him, by his side, but you decided to leave like an idiot.
Somewhat hypocritical on his part since most of the time he spent his time saying that you would never be his sister, ironies of life, right?
Something inside them lit up, the thought of someone or something doing something to their sister made their blood boil
They were going to find you and they were going to make the person who took you away from them pay, you would never abandon them, right?
You always cared for them so much and loved them, you would never leave them alone like this, they are your family
It didn't matter if they had to get their hands dirty, they were going to bring you home no matter what, even if it meant having to put their morals aside
How stupid were they, they left you aside for so long and now they want you back?
What a shame that no one told them that they had lost you forever and that you were never coming back, never...

No Prince Charming
(Batfam x Mom!Reader)
Anonymous asked:
Hello, I really like your work.
I saw that you have an open request, so I want to share an idea that has been sitting in my head for a long time.
Reader married Bruce for convenience. (In my head, the reader is a woman, but I'll leave it to your taste) The wedding takes place shortly before the appearance of the first Robin. Bruce and reader have a cold relationship. Reader comes from the wealthy population of Gotham. Therefore, reader is well educated and intelligent. So after a while, when Dick already appears, reader understands what her husband does at night. But reading doesn't say anything about it or hint at it. The reader doesn't want to get involved in any of this, it scares her. And although the reader is planning a divorce, she takes care of all the members of her new family. And although she is neglected in the family, the reader becomes a parental figure for children. But the children won't admit it. When Damian appears, the reader doesn't say a word to Bruce. But Damian treats reader very badly. And that becomes the trigger. The reader slips Bruce the divorce papers.(not to mention that they are getting divorced, since Bruce is likely to protest) and when Bruce signs them, he leaves the estate, leaving the divorce papers and the wedding ring on the bed when no one notices. And only then does the family realize what they have done with their neglect of reader. Their yandere trait is waking up in them and now they need to somehow find their reader.
Sorry if it's too much.
And I apologize for the English, I am writing with a translator
Warning: Non-consensual drugging, not descriptive sex. It's just mentioned, no details. Hinted at Dick's trauma with his sidekick.
It was a marriage of convenience. That's all it was. Bruce Wayne knew Y/N L/N since childhood, and while they weren’t close, Y/N was the only one who never treated him any differently after his parents were murdered. Maybe it's because her own father was murdered, and she understood that sometimes the greatest support was to act like nothing changed.
Fast forward to young adults, Bruce Wayne was now Brucie in public, and Y/N was the unstoppable woman leading her own company by the reins. Bruce had come to her with an offer, one that had her brows raised and painted lips smirking. For Bruce Wayne, this will help solidify his position as someone who was not Batman, and for Y/N it would finally silence the hecklers that gnawed at her heels and bit into her shoulders.
A frigid marriage, filled with cold greetings, Brucie still entertaining women, Y/N still controlling her company with painted lips, and rumors surrounding them. Despite the coldness, Y/N knew a lie when she saw one. She knows a front when she comes face to face with one, and it is why when she saw Batman in the hallways of Wayne manor, staring at her in shock and apprehension, she rolled her eyes and continued to sip her wine as she made her way back to her office.
“Please don’t stain the carpet. Alfred just shampooed them.” They never brought it up again. Bruce was no Prince Charming, despite the front he put on for strangers. There were no whispered promises, no flowers, no gifts, nothing but ‘hellos’ and ‘goodbyes.’
Then, along came Richard ‘Dick’ Grayson. A child who had blinked up at her with large blue eyes, and Y/N could feel her heart crumble. She had welcomed him with open arms and smiles. She had welcomed all of the Robins in. Her manicured nails getting shorter each time, so she doesn’t have to fear hurting one of them, and her smiles became softer. Y/N had never tried to replace any of their mother’s, but that didn’t mean she didn’t feel like one.
But it was Bruce they had a closer bond with. Which is why they started following his behavior towards her. Clipped words and rolling of eyes were common, as were the cold shoulders and tense silences.
“You’re not my mom! So stop asking how school was!” Y/N stared at Jason in shock and curiosity about where that outburst had come from. Alfred was the only one to say anything. A stern, “Master Jason,” and a look that had even Bruce cowering had the young boy apologizing. Y/N ignored the way her heart slowly broke, as the quirky child full of smiles, sass, and who loved classics, turned his back on her.
As if she wasn’t the one to introduce those books to him.
Y/N doesn’t blame them for their cold behavior towards her. She doesn’t blame Dick’s disregard, Jason’s hurtful words, Tim’s cynical looks, Steph’s taunts, and Damian’s heated actions.
Y/N had cried at Jason’s funeral, she helped Bruce fight for custody for Tim, she had consoled Dick after some of his own traumatic experiences, and she sat there and listened as Damian compared her and Talia. Talia, of all people. She had met the woman once, and Y/N had nodded at her. Y/N never judged Bruce for sleeping with the woman. Hell, Y/N would have too.  Y/N can recall the day Damian came to their manor, and the short look Dick had given her when she and the child made eye contact.
Y/N doesn’t know if it was a look of concern or mockery, but she knows he did look.
She was there for Richard when his trauma with his sidekick happened. He may have never told her, but Y/N is a woman. A woman who has known people that have suffered the same way Dick has. That are still suffering like he is.
“I’m sorry Richard.”
“What do you even know?! You know nothing! Absolutely nothing so just butt out!” Dick glared at her with blue eyes that had put the arctic water to shame. Y/N stood there and took it all. She stood proudly with her shoulders back and chin up.
In public, she was a stoic mother keeping the children in check while Bruce goofed off. She was the woman who failed her children, because she chose to continue running her business. Her very, very, very successful business. A business that had taken her and her mother from the bottom of High Society, to the top 10%. A series of great investments, smart marketing, and pretty words have lined her pockets with money that she could easily retire on.
Yet, all that money couldn’t save her mother. The woman died of a heart attack, and there was nothing, absolutely nothing Y/N could do besides bury her mother.
“Bruce please.”
“I am busy.”
“I know but Bruce, this is my–”
“Ask Alfred.” He had turned his back and Y/N was stuck staring at the retreating man with a new feeling of heartbreak. The tabloids ate up that she was alone at her mother’s funeral. A private event that no one was allowed into besides close family and friends.
When she came back, eyes downcast and shoulders slumped, Damian had picked the time to make his disdain known again, “–and my mother would have never let herself go like that. You look horrid, unbefitting of a Wayne. A disgrace.”
Blank E/C eyes stared into raging green and she sighed, “Thanks, Damian.” She spared him no glance after that, and she walked towards her bedroom to take a hot shower. It was there, under the hot spray of water that she finally cried. She cried for the last part of family she had, and the years she lost from marrying a man who didn’t even like her enough to attend a godforsaken fucking funeral. She cried for the children she couldn’t even call her own.
She cried for the life she missed by marrying Bruce fucking Wayne.
“Honey, are you happy?”
“Of course Mama.”
“You never could lie to me sweetie.” Her mother kissed her forehead and looked into E/C eyes with nothing but love, “You’ve worked so hard, sweetie.” That acknowledgement alone had her almost in tears, “But please start working for yourself now.”
Taking a deep breath, Y/N hopped out of the shower and called her lawyer. Divorce papers were in her hands within 24 hours, and her bags packed in 3.
She stood next to Bruce, ignoring the scowl on his face as she ‘disrupted’ his work. Y/N kept her face neutral, because if she smiled it would give it all away, and handed him the page he needed to sign.
For a billionaire and for a vigilante, he sure didn’t read the damn paper. Which is fine. Great even, because now, after being here for over a decade, Y/N is free. She laughed in her room, laughing so hard that it almost tore her throat. Leaving a copy of it on Bruce’s bed once he was gone, she grabbed her suitcase and accidentally ran into Alfred on her way out the door.
The old man took a look at her clothes, her bags, and her expression before sighing, “Shall I drive you for the last time, Lady Y/N?” Y/N smiled, bitterly at the thought of leaving Alfred, her only solace in this cold mansion.
“To the airport, please.” The ride was silent, and Y/N didn’t look back as they left the gates of the mansion. It wasn’t until they were halfway there that Y/N spoke up, “My lawyer will call in a few days, just to hash out the details.”
“Is that so?”
“There’s nothing I want. No assets, no money, nothing will be taken, I just want a divorce.” She just wants the law to recognize that she is not a Wayne. That she will never be a Wayne.
“Lady Y/N, perhaps a check for compensation for the emotional strain would be nice?” Y/N laughed, bitterly and sad, “I don’t want his money. I want nothing to do with him anymore.”
“And the kids?”
“They don’t need me. They never did. I doubt they will even notice.” Gotham International Airport wasn’t crowded, and that may be because it was 1pm on a Tuesday. Alfred helped her with her bags, and the old man stared at the woman before him. He remembers meeting her for the first time, a confident young woman who had a way with words and was unfairly intelligent. Matching wits and able to speak confidently in a room of people who thought little of her.
It's good to see some of that coming back.
Y/N hugged Alfred, “Thank you, Alfred. For everything.” The older man sighed and watched as the woman took her bags and walked away. Not once did she look back and Alfred decided to stay until her form disappeared in the building. He sighed heavily and when got back in the car, he dialed a number he knew by heart. It only took three rings before the voice of the man he raised answered, “Alfred, is everything okay?”
“Master Bruce, I fear you may have lost something precious, and I do hope you, and the young masters, have a plan to make this up to them.” He hung up afterwards as he merged into traffic, and he hoped his message finally hit something within his son’s dense skull.
When he returned back to the manor, he began the preparation for making dinner. All was silent throughout the manor, until the door opened and the rush of the footsteps began marching towards him.
“Master Richard, I urge you to not run.”
“Bruce told me there was an emergency and to hurry to the manor?” Alfred sighed, “While it is an emergency, it is not one you can fix on your own.” No, this was something for Bruce to fix seeing tha all the problems stemmed from him.
Dick raised a brow, “What kind of emergency is it?” Alfred pursed her lips, “Miss Y/N Wayne is now Miss Y/N L/N once more.” He turned to look the man he has considered his grandson in the eyes, and he could see the revelation sink in.
“Y/N divorced Bruce?” Alfred nodded, “The papers have been signed.”
“Bruce would never sign those papers.” Alfred raised a brow, “They are signed and waiting for him to read.” Dick slowly walked out of the kitchen, “Is she still here?” Alfred turned back to the food and Dick began speed walking towards Y/N’s room. As a child it never occurred to him why they would they never slept together, but as he got older he understood.
He knocked on her doors, calling her name like he used to as a kid.
Dick had always understood that Bruce’s and Y/N’s relationship was not one of a couple in love. He also understood that Y/N’s treatment in the manor by the residents of the manor was unfair. Whenever he could, he would correct Damian’s harsh words, but even he himself couldn’t fully bring himself to be all that kind to her.
He tried. He desperately tried, because he saw all that she did for them behind the scenes. He saw the mistreatment and judging looks others would give her as her ‘husband’ was out fooling around.
Dick saw the blank look she had given Damian after her mother’s funeral. The one none of them had gone too.
“What do you mean you didn’t go?” His voice panicked as he talked to Tim, “I didn’t go. I was under the assumption someone else would go.”
Y/N could have been Gotham’s biggest bitch, but not even then would she have deserved that. What made it worse was that Y/N was not a bitch. She wasn’t cruel, or unkind. She was as much of a philanthropist as Bruce was. Always aiding those whose needed it and desperately trying to make Gotham a better place.
Dick opened her doors and was greeted with an empty room. Gone were the picture frames, and the closet was empty along with the bathroom. Her prized jewlery, the things she took care of almost obsessively, all of it was gone.
He could remember beng 9 and sitting next to her as she cleaned one of her sapphire earrings. Thin fingers with long nail held the earring next to him, a scrutinizing look on her face before she would break out into a grin, “As I thought, nothing could ever compare to our Dickie’s sapphire eyes.”
“Holy shit.”
“What’s going on- why is Y/N’s room empty?” Tim looked throughout the room, and Dick could see the wonder across his younger brother’s face. Right, between all of them, Tim and Y/N had the least amount of time spent together.
Dick stared at his brother as the image of Y/N smiling at a string of pearls entered his mind. She had explained to him when he asked that pearls, while feminine, also symbolized new beginnings. She had gotten it when Tim’s custody was signed over to the Waynes.
“She’s gone.” Tim met Dick’s eyes, “Like… taking a vacation gone?” Dick gave a humorless chuckle, “She divorced Bruce, Tim. Y/N is gone.” This must have been what Alfred saw when he broke the news to Dick. The confusion and then realization coming to light in those blue eyes.
“Bruce would never sign those papers.” Dick had said the same thing, and yet here she was. Gone. As if to emphasize his point, Dick made an exaggerated expression and motioned to the empty room.
Tim looked around and he could feel a headache forming, “Bruce is gonna be pissed.” Dick groaned, “Fuck Bruce for a second, the only stable-mentally healthy-adult figure that isn’t Alfred is gone, Tim.” The boy didn’t look all that bothered, “Well, if she’s happier then I don’t mind.”
Of course he doesn’t mind. Why? Because this little stalker most likely knows where she’s going. Tim did a good job hiding it, but Dick was raised by Bruce. He is trained to spot the mciroexpressions of people, and even if they are his own siblings.
Tim is panicking. The very thought of Y/N leaving had not once occurred to them, and for Tim who loves planning, this was not once ever in the plans.
Not once. Y/N had been a staple within the manor, and to imagine her not being here was rough. Evenw hen she left for business trips, it was fine because they all knew she was coming back. SHe would come back with souvenirs, handing each of them something that reminhded her of them, before running upstairs to get out of the family’s judgemental line of sight.
“Fucking hell.”
++++
Bruce entered the condo with ease. His steps light as he walked through the dark room, noting the all the furniture. There was no Y/N in the living room or kitchen, but when he looked out the balcony door, he could see her back. She was leaning against the edge of the infinity pool, without doubt a hot tub of some sorts because it was too cold to be swimming in a regular pool.
She didn’t even turn around to look at him, her attention focused on the view of the snowy mountains and raging seas in front of her. Bruce could see the wine bottle left on the side of the pool and the glass that looked like it was finished only a short while ago. When she did turn around, E/C reflected the stars and dimly lit light around the pool, making them shine and sparkle like they were the galaxy.
Bruce isn’t blind. He knows Y/N is an attractive woman who had many people lusting after her even when they were married. Talia even made a note of it, “You should see if she wants to join next time.” He should have known that his clipped response was a sign.
It was all there, and yet he did everything within his power to ensure that he would not fall in love with her. Falling in love has always been out of the question, and when Y/N came into his life, Bruce made it his mission to do just that. The woman before him had never complained, and she never seemed to fault him for it, but he could tell there was resentment. If he couldn’t have allowed himself to fall in love with her, he could have at least offered her friendship. One that made life more bearable for the both of them, and set a good example for the kids.
“What are you doing, Bruce?” She didn’t seem shocked that he was here, let alone in her vacation condo. Bruce took off his shirt and pants, stripping down to his boxers before joining her in the hot tub. He had grabbed two glasses of wine before doing so, handing her one and taking a sip from the other.
“Is it wrong of me to want to join my wife on her vacation?”
“Ex-wife. The documents are signed, and besides this is a girl trip.” Bruce re-read those documents and kicked his foot for not fucking reading them when he first signed them. He should have known she was up to something.
“Y/N, come back to the manor.” He stared into E/C eyes as she took another sip of the wine. Bruce had come with a speech prepared, ready to convince her to come back with him, but it was all lost as he stared and observed the woman in front of him drink delicately from the glass. Y/N L/N has always been a woman of class, even when she was near the bottom of high society. It wasn’t her good looks that landed her in the top 10, possibly even top 5%, and like every classy woman, she was only allowed to regret a few things. Their marriage is one, but leaving is not even an option on the list of things she wants to regret but can’t.
He knows this. She knows this.
And yet, Bruce could only focus on how beautiful she looks, and how beautiful she would look sprawled on the silk bed sheets. Y/N has aged like fine wine, looking even more beautifully and worth more and more with each passing year. Aging gracefully and beautifully as the years passed and still catching the attention of others.
It's a shame his younger self was more into whiskey than wine.
He wonders how different their relationship would be if he had gotten to know her before and during the early years of their marriage. Without a doubt it would be easier to talk to her. Easier to convince her to come back to a manor that now misses her.
“And why should I?” It’d be easier to answer her with a compelling reason, one that would have her actually debating on whether or not to come back. Bruce reached over and brushed a strand of hair out of her face, and he’s shocked that she even let him do that. She didn’t flinch, nor did she lean into his touch. Y/N stood still as he moved the H/C lock behind her ears.
“The manor misses you.” He’s never heard her laugh the way she did in that moment. Throwing her head back and exposing unblemished skin to the night air as she laughed, and continued to laugh. Her shoulders shaking from the force and slightly distilling the wine.
Once she was done, her cheeks were red from the laughter and she was gasping for breath, “Yeah, okay. So Alfred misses me, I’ll make sure to give him a call then.” She turned her back to Bruce and began walking towards the edge of the pool.
“The boys, girls, and I do too.” Chateau Petra was on his lips and the feeling of cold wine hitting his face and upper chest had him closing his eyes for a second. When he opened them, Y/N’s wine glass was empty and on her face was a hard expression. Cold E/C eyes glaring into his as she pulled herself out of the pool, and grabbed the rest of the wine bottle.
“Sleep on the couch. You’re going home tomorrow.” Her steps quiet as she stalked into her home and she headed for the bathroom. Bruce sighed, and stared at the night sky with a new look in his eyes, ‘Desperate times call for desperate measures.’ He would like to believe that he is above this. He wants to believe that this was the worst case scenario happening and therefore this needs to happen.
Has to. The very thought of Y/N being away caused an itch to form under his skin and a burning fire in his chest. A fire he never knew blazed in him until it went out. Now, more aware and protective of it, Bruce found himself craving the warmth in ways that had his mouth foaming and muscles tensing. He looked down at the water and saw the red wine diluting and sprawling throughout the pool water, looking like blood for only a second.
A smile curled on his lips and he pulled himself out of the pool water, drying himself off before making his way into the shower with his ‘ex-wife.’ They may have never been lovers, but they were two adults living under the same roof.
So, of course they have had sex.
Hate sex is the best and worst sex. It is the best because Bruce can go as hard as he wants to and Y/N will love it. It is the worse because hate sex is all Y/N will see this as. Y/N will only see it has hate sex and not for the love Bruce feels for her. She won’t feel it in the way he caresses her skin or in the way he leaves his bite marks on her thighs. All Y/N will see this as, is hate sex.
Which is fine. If hate sex is what Y/N needs to see this as to work then Bruce will take it. He has time. He has plenty of time to show her how much he cares and loves her. Those divorce papers will be long gone, every single one of those copies non-existent. He loves her. He loves her in the way a cactus loves the sun, or how the stars love the moon.
Bruce was so enamored by her, that he couldn’t help but to fall deeper. Her soft hands, that have never broken a bone but have broken many hearts, cradling scarred shoulders and sharp cheeks. She didn’t flinch when his own rough hands gripped her’s, bruising and secure, and she didn’t flinch when intense blue eyes met hers. In fact, she smiled, like this was all a joke he was the butt of it.
It pissed him off that even she could have secrets and inside jokes that he doesn’t know about. As she laid there, her eyes now closed and body relaxed, Bruce pulled out a syringe filled with something that will keep her asleep. Only for a few days. Barbara is already working on getting rid of the divorce papers and the kids were preparing for her return.
Bruce kissed her forehead, smiling down at his Sleeping Beauty. If need be, the manor will be her castle and the kids her vines covered in thorns. Bruce, in all his daunting and terrifying glory shall be the dragon, keeping her locked within her castle because nowhere was safer than the castle. Only she could keep him calm, and only she could make him feel human.
Batman was never Prince Charming.

@demonic0angel I blame you(affectionately) for this idea.
Remember the City Spirit Prompt? What if it was a ship and a larger concept.
DCxDP prompt 11 :
Danny becomes Gotham's City Spirit after being taken under Lady Gotham's wing, Danny becomes the city's second spirit, the shadow that always watches, the star that seemed to glow with hope in a crime ridden city such as Gotham.
Danny is living the Double Life as being protected heavily by Lady Gotham because why would she let anyone hurt her little baby, Danny is in college and this can be a ship for any of the bats but today I prefer Dead Tired.
Danny is East End's Cryptid Neighbor, No one really knows why he lives in east end despite having enough money to strive in the much wealthier parts of Gotham, he doesn't get in danger and sometimes it's almost as if the Darkness of the shadows wrap around his protectively like a mother cradling it's infant.
Danny becomes the street's handy man as he can fix almost anything on the spot without charge, he goes to college on a scholarship and the weather seems to become lighter and clearer around him, he has a very light presence that can make even the most violent of thugs soften up in care for the boy.
Tim and Danny happen to meet by coincidence in a coffee shop, they become friends and Red Robin stalksobserves him from afar and they happen to attend the same college and there Tim finds out tidbits of his past, parent's laboratory hazard, Sister somewhere away to college too but they got into a fight so they're not in contact right now, One older brother and one little sister.
Tim is noting all of and everything Danny tells him, like the smitten bastard he is. Danny is still a City Spirit, he knows who the bats are but he doesn't mind, as their relationship progresses Danny at some point is forced to intervene as a physical manifestation of Gotham's City Spirit of Resilience and Hope. Danny's and Tim's relationship becomes much like Ponyo's Mom and Dad type of relationship.
Danny is the Mom, Gorgeously Mesmerizing, a form so majestic and Astral and Tim his lover and he who cares deeply for him. The bats at first will be concerned but they can't stop them from loving each other and Lady Gotham unbeknownst to them, supports this whole thing.

Thinking a very normal amount about Tim being joker junior.
Thinking about Jason dying and Tim becoming robin out of necessity.
Thinking about Bruce not noticing Tim has been kidnapped because surely, surely his parents would file a report. Surely Tim must have been dragged into going on a trip with them and just didn’t mention it.
Thinking of Bruce not questioning things correctly because he is too busy grieving the previous robin.
Thinking of Bruce just thinking Joker Junior is a random kid.
Thinking of Barbra being the one to notice instead.
Thinking of Barbra consoling Tim after he kills the Joker.
Thinking of her taking Tim and letting him heal in the Drake estate.
Thinking of a file Bruce Wayne makes called Joker junior, one that Tim never looks at, that talks about a kid who killed the Joker and has been missing ever since.
Thinking of, months later, when robin returns to Bruce’s side, it just so happens to coincide with the return of Jack and Janet.
Thinking of Tim thinking Barbra must have told Bruce, but he just never came to see him. And that’s fine, because it isn’t as if they are family, Tim is just here to make sure Bats doesn’t go off the deep end again.
Thinking of Barbra not telling Bruce, because surely he already knows, he’s the world’s greatest detective. Plus she isn’t one to talk about other people’s trauma when they aren’t around.
Thinking of Tim hiding his laughter, because Batman would never let him keep patrolling if he knew he was still having fits.
Thinking of Dick not being there most of the time, and when he is, he mostly spends it arguing with Bruce.
Thinking of Tim knowing that Dick must know because he hears them fighting about the joker being dead once, although he did leave pretty soon after when he feels the laughter bubbling up in his throat.
Thinking of Jason coming back, attacking him at the titains tower, and telling him that he’s read all his files and knows everything about Tim. Obviously Tim takes this to mean he knows that Tim killed the joker as JJ. Because why wouldn’t that be in his file.
Thinking of Jason not having time to question when the little Robin who replaced him starts manically laughing once he sees him, because as soon as he hears the familiar laugh the green takes over completely.
Thinking of Tim finally feeling in control of himself, but then worst year ever happens. His parents are dead, Bruce is lost in the time stream, all his friends are dead, Robin is stolen from him, and everyone thinks he is crazy. He starts to relapse.
Thinking of Tim actually going a little bit crazy after that, trying to clone Bart and Kon, joining the league of assassins, doing all those crazy things he did during worst year ever.
Thinking of Cass learning after saving Tim from the daughter of Acheron. There isn’t much he can do but explain after she witnesses one of his fits.
Thinking about years later, when everyone has relationships more akin to Batman: Wayne family adventures, Tim still feels a little out of the group.
Thinking of everyone getting mad when he talks about the Joker, especially if it’s in front of Jason.
Thinking of Tim going silent or making himself scarce everytime the Joker is mentioned.
Thinking of a Tim who finds an excuse not to go out when Harley Quinn is.
Thinking of a Tim who hasn’t had an episode in years.
Thinking of a Tim who watches Jason get all this support for his trauma, while he doesn’t.
Thinking of him going to Barbra or Cass anytime he has a set back because they are the only ones who seem to care.
Thinking of a Wayne family who doesn’t know.
Thinking of a Tim who Knows they Know, but they just don’t care.

Everyone in the Bat Clan has been noticing something over the years, specially about Tim.
Every so often he will go to do something with his hands or even his entire body, such as swaying or shaking his hands, but always stops himself.
There’s almost this look of annoyance on his face that just barely hides discomfort, but he brushes it off quickly.
Bruce noticed and, thinking about Robin more than anything, offered some kind of fidgeting device to help him stay on task, only for Tim to snap at him for the first time. It was his usual snark or commenting on Bruce’s well being, but a real moment of lashing out.
He decided then not to bother Tim about his clear want to move around it play with something even if it’s just his hands, mainly because he was doing his job well.
Yet, as he starts to really try and be a good parent to his kids and realises that Tim is one of the places he messed up most by basically using him to cope with grief, he decides to ask the rest of the family what they think.
Dick says it could be ADHD and he needs movements, with Barbara backing it up with a few websites in agreement.
Damian says he should mediate and Cass so what agrees but says it probably won’t help someone like Tim that much.
Duke and Steph make up a somewhat chaotic plan of coercing him into telling them what he needs, out of love and somewhat aggressive care.
It’s Jason who just scoffs and says, “It’s stimming, you idiots. He has like, super messed up standards cause of his parents, right? They probably didn’t allow it but he’s got that like, autastic thing.”
Only Jason Todd could say something so smart followed by completely idiocy.
But he is right, very much so. It might also explain why sometimes he seemingly couldn’t handle touch but when he panicked he need to be squeezed as tightly as possible.
Naturally, with a family of emotionally repressed vigilantes, they decide to subtly let him know it’s okay.
Dick is the worst with it, speaking far too loudly about how Autism is okay and how he wants to learn to support autistic kids, while Bruce thinks nodding along to this helps.
Damian just stares at Tim for five minutes before bailing and running away.
When a month passes and Tim seem more like he’s even more ashamed than anything my, Cass smashes her hand on the table at dinner and drags him out of the room to talk to him.
Tim is forced to sit and listen to his sister, who may or may not be his favourite sibling, talk about how he’s not damaged or wrong for needing to stim and move his body. She calls him out on how he is being a hypocrite, for accepting people like Bart and Barbara and and her for their disabilities whether ADHD or something physical but not himself.
Tim wouldn’t have been moved by this if it was anyone else, but never in all the time he’s known her has he heard Cass say so many words in one go nor can see her cry so much. She’s loud when she cries, making up for her silence, but it’s only something any of them have seen twice and that was Bruce and Steph.
He doesn’t just magically accept that he’s neurodivergent, nor does he ever want a title as to what is different about him, but the difference is still noticeable.
A week later him and Dick are watching an episode of their show and something Tim adores, a comic series, is referenced. Instead of what he usually does, that being sitting there as still as he can, he bats his hands around a for a few seconds before pausing and waiting for Dicks reaction.
When Dick beams at him brighter than a sun he continues, smacking the couch and even Dicks arm in his excitement.
A few days later he makes a high pitched noice just to get to an itch in his throat and doesn’t realise that Jason is there, yet when the other responds with the same noice, given a bit deeper, Tim smile. Bruce walks in on them making strange noises at each other in a sort of echo.
It’s months later when it’s his birthday and his family has come together to buy him a new, stupidly expensive camera only to reveal they also added a red light room in the manner for him to print them that they really see how much safer he feels.
He flaps his hands aggressively and jumps in place, rumbling out words that don’t all much and thanking them over and over.
He squeals happily but only has a moment where he looks shamed before Bruce holds out a flat palm for him to smack excitedly.
Later, when he gets overwhelmed and crashes a little, Duke lies on top of him to give him pressure only for Steph to sit on him.

"I'm going to marry you one day, Steve Harrington," he declares to all and sundry (Steve and Robin) in Family Video.
Steve laughs, ducks his head, hair a bountiful cascade that doesn't move an inch. He's blushing but it's not, like, a reaction to the sentiment of marriage. Steve knows Eddie is just like that, flirtatious and over-the-top and incapable of not speaking his thoughts as soon as they enter his head.
Robin roles her eyes, goes back to flipping through her magazine, something about cinema, and Eddie swipes his just rented movies off the counter.
"You think I'm joking," he twists so he's facing them, walking backwards to the door. "But I swear it, oh, beloved purveyor of movies and deleter of late fees."
"Yeah, yeah." Steve's face is pinker than before and Eddie recognizes and immediately forces himself to forget how cute it is. "But get out of here before I change my mind."
And Eddie, he loves to push his luck and also has very little filter between his brain and his mouth, so he says, "aw, don't be that way, Stevie, you love me."
Robin looks up, then, mouth a pursed twist as she tries not to laugh. "Gross, Eddie." She throws a Sour Patch at him. "Keep all that mushy stuff to when you two are alone."
It's his turn to blush, fierce and raging, and Steve whirls, squeaking, to whack Robin with a Twizzler.
Eddie points at her. "Rude, Buckley. You know I love you too."
"Again, gross." She sticks out her tongue, tinged blue from the Sour Patch.
"We really need to work on your ability to accept affection," Steve tells her.
She scowls, kicks him, makes Eddie laugh.
"I think that's my cue to leave, children." He says. He, quite literally, bows out of the store, just missing the barrage of candy thrown his way.
---
Three Months Later
Eddie stumbles into the Harrington house, kicking his boots off by the door. Steve's in the kitchen, fussing around the stove. His hair's askew and he's--
"Harrington, are you wearing an apron?" He ignores the kick in his chest at the sight. "You'll make a sweet little housewife one day."
"Shut-up," Steve says without any heat. "Try this."
He brandishes a spoon filled with red sauce in Eddie's direction, and Eddie--heart always on his sleeve--eagerly leans in to taste. He closes his eyes, savors, and it's good, truly. Perfect fresh acidity with just a burst of sweetness.
"It's amazing, baby," he says without thinking. He opens his eyes right in time to see Steve turning back to the sauce, blush high on his cheekbones.
"Thanks. You're making me nervous though, hovering." Steve hip checks him. "Go sit somewhere."
And Eddie does, jumps onto the island--the Harrington's are the kind of people who have an island--and chatters to Steve about his day, about his new campaign, about the new song he's trying to learn.
All the while, he's watching Steve cook, in his apron, with such care and thoughtfulness, with true command. Maybe it's the domesticity of the scene, maybe his raging crush, but he has this flash of the two of them in the future. In their kitchen, Steve cooking dinner, and Eddie's arms are wrapped around his waist, he's pressing kisses to his temple, complimenting all his hard work and--
Steve feeds him a bite of the finished pasta, and it's so good that he groans, full-throated, unembarrassed, and says--he says, "I'm going to marry you one day, Steve Harrington."
He laughs, face pink, batting Eddie's shoulder. "Go sit down, man. It's time to eat."
---
Two Months After That
Eddie's working on a new campaign when the storm rolls in, wind rocking the trailer, thunder and lightning crackling in the sky. The power doesn't go out, but only just barely, the flickers making his heart pound for reasons that have nothing to do with weather.
There's a knock on the trailer door, and he opens it to find Steve Harrington standing on the porch, hair plastered to his head, clothes soaked. Robin's bike is propped against one of the awning supports. Familiar panic snaps to life in his gut.
"God, Steve, are you okay? Did something happen? That's Robin's bike, where's the Beamer? Is it--is it Vecna? Is--" He's blabbering can't stop, so he shoves his palm against his lips.
"It's not--not Upside Down stuff." He runs a hand through his soggy hair. "Can I come in, man? I--I want to tell you something."
This snaps Eddie out of his panic, and he's moving aside, saying, "Oh my god, get in here, you're soaked. Let me get towels. Do you want a change of clothes, I can--"
Steve catches him by the elbow and he full stops at the look in those big hazel eyes, fearful and sad and he doesn't know what, but his anxiety amps back up.
"I was with Robin and we were--we were talking, you know? And I told her that I like somebody, like really like them, but it was unexpected and--and--it's a guy. He's a guy but I still like girls? Robin said--she said that I'm probably bisexual. That I like guys and girls and--and everyone, I think."
It sends shockwaves through him, and he hopes it doesn't show, doesn't think it shows, but he's having trouble processing. Steve is bi and he likes someone and--Eddie stuffs down the jealousy that claws at him, knows it's more important that he's here for his friend.
"Thank you for telling me, sweetheart." He reaches out, slow in case Steve doesn't want to be hugged, but he launches himself into Eddie's arms.
Eddie holds him tight, heedless of his wet clothes, can feel his shoulders shake, and it tears Eddie's heart in two. All he can do is hold Steve and offer comfort, jealousy be damned.
"You're so brave, honey," he says once the tears taper off.
Steve gives a wet chuckle, face still buried against Eddie's neck. "I don't know about that. I think I got snot in your hair."
"It'll wash out." He laughs. "Is now the time to welcome you to the family? Apparently, we're growing exponentially."
"Does the welcome include a cake or something? I could really use cake."
And God, Steve, is so fucking cute, so sweet, so--everything Eddie has always wanted, and he--it's an accident, or at least, thoughtless--he presses a kiss to Steve's temple. More than one.
Steve pulls back fast, and Eddie lets go immediately. "Sorry, sorry. I--that was stupid. You like someone already, and I--"
His words are cut off as Steve kisses him. Steve kisses him? His brain can't process, but he kisses back. Can't not, not with Steve. Like, he doesn't know anything, head empty, but his body is with the program.
They break apart, he's breathing hard. Steve is beautifully flushed, mouth red and swollen. "You like someone," is what Eddie says.
Steve laughs. "I like you, Munson. Fucking crazy about you."
He smiles, so big it hurts, so big it grows into a delight laugh. "I'm going to marry you one day, Steve Harrington," he says.
---
Six Years Later
They're in bed, Saturday morning, rain pattering softly on the window.
Steve places slow kisses against his naked tummy, makes him tremble, shiver with overstimulation.
"Baby," he whines. "Sweetheart."
Steve smiles up at him, something cold pressing against his ribs, then into his hand.
It's a ring, black metal, shiny and iridescent as he turns it in the light. "What--Steve?"
With one last kiss to his hip bone, Steve sits up, slips the ring onto Eddie's finger. "I'm going to marry you one day, Eddie Munson."

Welcome to the Family
(a dc x dp prompt)
Someone please write this. Give me adult Danny sitting on that sweet Fenton family money. Give me Danny with that Ghost King money. Give me Danny with a deaged Dan and Dani as teens. Give me vigilante Phantom who needs to feed his protection ghost obsession by protecting the people of his city. Give me Danny Phantom with an empire of vigilantes who work with him in his name who are also his family. Give me Danny being Bruce Wayne.
Except, he’s significantly better at it than Bruce.
The Pham keeps growing and the lineup of vigilantes that all share the same symbol on their chest keeps getting better. Every member of the team is loved and cared for. And no one who isn’t already dead dies because you better bet your ass they have a plan for EVERY scenario. If someone gets hurt? Phantom will avenge them. The Ghost King can and will collect any souls that are overdo. He can and will allow those who have killed may be ripped apart by the ghosts of their own victims.
The lineup of vigilantes may have started out small, just Phantom and Red Huntress. But then it grew. Tucker joined behind his computer, providing technical support as Firewall. Sam stood beside him with her ever growing plant magic as Iris. Jazz offered her ability for psychoanalysis, giving her ability to use Tucker’s research and her own brain for profiling as Mandela. Dani joined her father as Spector and Dan wasn’t far behind as Wraith.
That was only the beginning. After Phantom was officially asked to join the Justice League, the Pham only grew. Much to the dismay of the others.
Superboy was no more after Danny watched Superman speak in such a horrid way about the boy. Kon was doing just fine now in the Pham. He was much happier as Spright. After Danny adopt him, he never had to feel like he had to be ashamed of who he was as a clone. Dani was a clone too and Danny loved her all the same.
The second Robin? Haha…. yeah the moment that boy died, Danny adopted him. Jason was heartbroken and betrayed by Batman but he knew he would never have to feel that way again. He could spend the rest of his half life with the magic Robin once gave him as Lucky Charm. Except now? He knew the magic came from inside him. Not from his title.
Danny may or may not have stolen the fourth Robin as well. All Danny needed was to watch him yell at her during a meeting one time. Once she joined the Pham, she was always respected and no one yelled at her. Her more unpredictable tendencies? Completely welcome and very effective when the team around you is just as wild and creative. Stephanie liked her life as Violet.
After working with the Titans, Danny may or may not have also picked up Raven on the way. She really needed a father figure and Danny was more than willing to provide. Rachel was invited to every movie night, family dinner and party the Pham had and of course, she had her own room in the Pham household if she ever needed a place to crash.
Give me Danny pulling a Bruce Wayne so hard that he outBruces the Wayne. Give me Danny being the best dad on the planet. Give me Danny also funding the JL just so Bruce can’t. Give me Danny casually knowing all the dirt on all the other JL members because he stole their kids and they aren’t afraid to tell him what they did.

Counterintuitively, Jason trafficking drugs himself, and the way he treats drug dealers in general is actually one of the core reasons I do believe he has a real moral backbone.
In Lost Days we see him mention that he killed his small arms teacher because the smack he was dealing was poisoned. In Nightwing (2016) Annual #2 Jason is particularly violent towards their enemy because he cut his heroin with other substances, leading to his mother's first overdose. In Under the Red Hood, his most important rule is 'no selling to kids', and he is specifically employing people who do sell drugs to adults.
Playing a bit of Headcanon Jazz here - listening to the notes Jason doesn't play as much as the ones he does - It feels really notable to me that dealing drugs is not enough to get on Jason's shit list. On some level Jason thinks it's okay to deal drugs. Even more importantly: Jason doesn't at all imply that drug users are at fault - nor that they need to have the choice to use taken from them 'for their own good'. Heck, I can't remember any instance of him saying that doing drugs is a bad thing.
He has lived with and cared for someone struggling with an addiction that she died to, which would have made it really easy to take him in a 'no leniency, no tolerance, kill all drug dealers and burn all the crack so no one can smoke it' road. Yet that's the opposite of how he's operating.
And I'm putting all that together to get a Jason who firmly believes in harm reduction and that when it comes to drugs, people have a right to risk; they have a right to choose to use. I don't think it's too much further of a stretch to say that he thinks that those who do use should be supported by infrastructure ensuring that their drugs are uncut and properly dosed and that they should have safe places to use and well funded rehab options if they want to quit.
This whole thing is so important to me because it lies completely outside of his emotional conflict of 'I wasn't avenged'; it's proof that there was more to Jason's talk about running Gotham differently than simply killing people.
Factually, there are a huge number of criminal activities that could be used to improve the lives of vulnerable people.
I firmly believe that no government has the right to detain, imprison, deport, et.c. people fleeing violence and persecution in their country of origin. A criminal organization that genuinely had their best interest in mind who could provide access to new identities, jobs, housing, and paperwork for cheap could save and change hundreds of lives. Sex workers, especially survival sex workers who want to quit and move on to a new job, could benefit enormously from protection from the cops, and from landlords kicking them out, and the ability to get criminal charges purged from their records, and lots of other stuff. People who use street drugs need a lot of the same things, as do people who need access to medication but for whatever reason can't get prescriptions the legal way.
This is all stuff that is already a staple of organized crime - they just do it in ways that are insanely abusive and exploitative.
It makes sense that Jason would look at that and think he could make it work! Honestly I'd love to read a comic about him trying! He could be the pinnacle of Be Gay Do Crime! Sadly though, it's very unlikely we ever will, especially because his term as a drug lord was so incredibly short to begin with. Under the Red Hood, a tiny snippet of Robin (1993) and Green Arrow (2001) #69 - #72 is really all we get, and none of those really got into the politics of his organization either.
Tho, there is a tiny snippet we possibly see in Seeing Red, my favorite Jason run ever, and I will take any excuse to talk about it so here we go lol!
Tumblr media
This is a comic in which Batman gets some things wrong about Jason, and might be straight up lying to Green Arrow in places too, so I don't think we can take his word for it when he says Jason is driving up the trade. Especially not when Jason hasn't given a single flying fuck about collecting wealth for himself in basically any other appearance ever.
Is he using drugs as a trading good to some capacity? Yes, that's a minor plot point here, however, I think justice is very present in his reasoning. I think Jason is being selective with which shipments he's keeping - testing each and destroying the stuff that's extra dangerous, making sure that what's getting used is as safe as it can be. Plus, he might be reducing the supply so that drug trade can't expand, while considering complete elimination to be flatly undesirable, since it could force users to go cold turkey, something that can be dangerous, or at least very painful.
Now, obviously this is still headcanon territory, we never really see into Jason's head about this specific topic, but I do feel like it's a reasonable way to fill in that gap!
Anyways, this is why I've never felt like Jason's disagreements with Bruce's methods were purely about his own emotional desires. There's too much else surrounding that which he clearly also cares about.

The batkids decide to hop on the trend.
Dick, walking as Steph records: We’re vigilantes. Of course we have to be over dramatic.
(Cut to Nightwing back flipping off of Wayne tower)
Tim: were vigilantes. Of course we have issues with caffeine.
(Cut to a video of Tim as Red Robin snoring while hanging from a grappling line. Batman can be seen in the background facepalming.)
———
Damian: No.
Tim: oh come on, Robin, we’re all doing it.
Damian: I refuse to partake in such idiotic videos.
Tim: (while Damian is still behind him) We’re vigilantes. Of course we get to punch people without getting in trouble.
Damian: actually—-
Tim: Robin, you’re supposed to play along—
Damian: I am not going to spread false information—
Steph, interrupting: well, I’m not one of Batman’s sons so he legally can’t yell at me.
Tim: wanna bet?
(Cut to Batman scolding all three of them about the improper use of force)
—-
Duke: we’re vigilantes. Of course we go to Batburger.
(Cut to Duke happily eating a Batburger meal, and playing with a Signal toy)
Duke: what? I’m allowed to have hobbies.
——
Steph: we’re vigilantes. Of course we can scare anyone we want to. Right, Black Bat?
Cass: (nod)
(The next series of videos is a compilation. The first is Superman being scared, followed by Green Lantern, Flash, Cyborg, Starfire, Dick, Tim, and a failed attempt to startle Wonder Woman. Cass isn’t even upset about not being able to scare the woman, she accepts the defeat with grace.)
——-
Dick, Tim, and Steph: we’re vigilantes.
Dick: I’ve gotten stranded on the moon. Don’t ask.
Tim: I got lost in hell.
Steph: I accidentally followed Green Lantern into space.
Tim: what? When?
Steph: turns out if you hug a Green Lantern really tightly, their life support on their ring will support you too
Dick: yknow, Batman shouldn’t find out about this-
(Cut to Batman’s lecture about the proper use of protective gear when going to space)
——
Dick: we’re vigilantes. Of course we’re best friends with all of the villains.
(Cut to Red Hood kicking down a door)
Jason: hey (bleep), you’re late to dinner
Dick: (currently tied to a chair and gagged)
Jason: hang on, I’ll help. (Shoots everyone and unties dick) Harley said she’s going to rampage if you’re not there in five minutes.
Dick: Blame these guys, not me! (Jumps through the nearest window, shattering it, and the sound of a grapple is heard)
——
Jason: I’m a crime lord
Dick: and I’m a vigilante
Jason: and you’re ruining my video, (bleep) off. (Shoves Dick out of the frame, ignoring Dick’s muttered cursing) now that we got the riffraff out, let me start over. (Brushes imaginary dirt from hands) I’m a crime lord. Of course Batman fights me every other day. I look forward to the day I can break his kneecaps.
Dick: (shocked) Hood!
Jason: what?
Dick: he’s your dad too!
Jason: yuck, don’t remind me.
——-
Duke: we’re vigilantes. Of course we know all of the gossip. (Very obviously looking around) like for example, Superman has the biggest crush on Bruce Wayne—
Clark, who was obviously eavesdropping: Nonononononono—- (trying to turn the camera off as he darts into the frame. There’s a flash of red, blue and yellow as Duke and Clark fight over the camera)
——
Tim: we’re vigilantes. Of course we visit other cities.
Wally, as Kid Flash: What the (bleep) are you doing in Central City?
Tim: I’m honestly not sure, it’s so bright that I think I’m blind.

City Spirits Cont. (click for clarity)
Tumblr media
Ty for the various suggestions and ideas from everybody! And thank you for the support! I really appreciate it :D
Notes:
+ Dani is the spirit of the Batvehicles, including the Batboat and Batplane. As explained in this post, she can travel freely amongst any vehicles owned by the Batfam in Blüdhaven and Gotham City. She mainly stays with the Batmobile, however.
+ Dan is the spirit of Blüdhaven. There are a few reasons for this.
1) I had already planned the background for this AU longggg before I ever thought of drawing it out, and there had always been a sister spirit to Gotham City (I will make a post about this later), 2) I feel like too many spirits in one city would piss off Danny and Dan and also piss off me, 3) Both Dan and Danny are stronger than Jazz and Dani, and I wanted to show that through the scale of what they're spirits of, ex: Danny being the most powerful so he gets the biggest city and Jazz being much weaker, so she is only Crime Alley, etc, 4) Blüdhaven is often described as being even more violent and corrupt than Gotham (which I honestly don’t believe), but I like how Dan represents that sort of city, 5) *gently makes my Dick and Dan puppets kiss* no other reason.
+ All spirits were attached to their place at similar times, but did not come to awareness at the same time. Danny woke up to existence first, while Dani came to awareness last. Their strength also relates to how big/important the places or objects they are attached to.
+ Dani is dressed like Batman with Robin features and accents. She isn't dressed in the formal, old style like everyone else bc the Batmobile isn't that old. She came to awareness not that long after Batman started using it and due to time shenanigans, so she is rather young compared to her siblings.
+ Dan is dressed like a 1900s cop/detective. I got the inspiration from this reblog by @blackdiamondcat and I really liked it. His face is hidden bc all of their faces are hidden.
+ Extras: other spirits include Sam (who travels between any park/garden in Gotham, which includes Neo-Eden and Robinson Park), Tucker (the Watchtower), Valerie (Arkham Asylum), and Wes (the gargoyles in Gotham City, as inspired by @voiceofdragons in the comments of the original post). (Still subject to change). The only spirits in Blüdhaven are Dan and occasionally Dani, since Dan is very territorial.

Give me psychopathic killer Tim Drake in which Gotham and several other super hero infested cities all gain a new serial killer they have dubbed as "Smiler".
Why? Simple, when the killer leaves the crime scene, the body is totally and entirely mutilated, skin grafts made and missing, organs and bones missing here and there and it's no specifically chosen ones either, the rest of the organs and bones are strung up in the place of murder. But the reason for the name Smiler is because the head is decapitated and left in perfect condition other than a smile cut along the face in a Joker-Jeff-The-Killer-esque way that leaves even the unscared scared.
Why would Tim do this? For fun. He's very morally gray, kids are where he cuts the line, but everyone else for no reason at all? It's fun to him. So maybe he was hit a few times in the head too many with electrocution(This can be from regular crime fighting or Joker Jr or League of Assassins you decide), he finds it fun to do all of this methodically and leave people in shambles trying to figure it out.
But how is he able to do this? He, without anyone's knowledge and for fun, got a Ph.D and Doctorates in med school to be a licensed surgeon and what not. He still regularly performs surgery, he works as a surgeon 4 days of the week and no one knows because they think he's working at WE but really it's basically all Tam, he's just there to be the face and to provide good info. He's already reformed the board so he can do whatever.
Would the hero community ever find out? Up to you. Here's how I would picture them finding out;
Some girl gets cornered the bats, then starts rambling for whatever reason about them when they're trying to help her.
"If I want understanding I'd go to Batman.
If I want empathy I'd go to Nightwing.
If I wanted a presence I'd go to Robin.
If I wanted emotional stability I'd go to Red Hood.
If I wanted support I'd go to Spoiler.
If I wanted the truth I'd go to Black Bat.
But if I wanted someone murdered, I'd go to Red Robin."
And the pieces don't make sense, because who is this woman and how does she know or why does she think Red Robin, Batman's literal in-every sense-but-blood mini-me, is a murderer? He follows Batman's moral code like a god.
But then they start looking further into his life. As CEO, they find he's not working there often, only 3 days a week, specifically for meetings. They dig deeper and find that somewhere between now and his quest for Bruce he lost his spleen and got a Ph.D and Doctorates. When confronted he said it'd be good especially for on the field when there's no one to step in and help. Experience and trust in the field is a good thing, like Harley Quinn.
Knowing that, Bruce being paranoid starts learning a bit more about surgery, and then something brings up the Smiler killings. Bruce looks at the things about the Smiler's way of killing and compares it to a surgeon. The way of opening the body, removing skin, removing the organs, no inexperienced person without a surgical background would be able to do this. They would have destroyed the organs. Or at least damaged them in someway.
Bruce starts watching Tim closely, because the time he got the license in surgery is around the time the Smiler started killing.
It was inly confirmed when one slip up gave him away. A threat.
"I will surgically remove your organs and make it seem like an organ donation."
He said that to a Justice League member after getting into a dispute with them.
That started the questions. The first one was a trick question, it was supposed to only scare Tim into confessing. But Tim wasn't scared, he knew they didn't know and he knew this was a scare tactic, he knows interrogation. Yet he still confessed. He was happy to. Smiling like a psycho and everything.
"It started as a joke. Joke? Well, practice. A small time thug, a human sex trafficker. Red Hood was gonna kill him anyways, so I thought, "why not do it myself?", you know? I had the license, the experience, I needed more of the latter though. So I just started opening him up. Removing things little by little. It was fun. The decapitation and the smile was my little thing though. The missing organs, donated to science and to people who need them. So can you really say I'm doing something completely wrong?"
The detail Tim went into caused a few to lose their stomachs.
Tim, the psycho, was enjoying this.
(This could definitely play a part in Tim becomes Damian's Joker to his Batman. I saw a post about it somewhere.)

Hey Fancy! Apologies if this is a wee bit long but it’s a random platonic yandere Batfam idea I’ve had for a long time. Adopted daughter who becomes an investigative journalist. (With Outlast crossover)
Darling was a product of one of Bruce’s affairs and he never really cared, he paid child support and that’s about it. Darling didn’t care as she and her mother were happy together until they weren’t. Darling’s mother starts to have to work longer hours, coming back more and more hollow until there’s nothing left but her corpse. Darling had a gut feeling her mom died because her mom’s boss was cutting corners in safety at some chemical plant and forcing long hours on workers.
Of course darling has to go to her father’s house now and live with him (I imagine she was adopted a year before Jason died) after a week she’s asked if she wants to become Robin to which she refuses. She wants to fight the criminals who act as altruists, such as corrupt leaders and politicians, companies who have blood on their hands but hide it, because that’s the hero who could save her mom. Bruce accepts this but the family just seems to forget her. Not out of maliciousness, except for Damien, they just don’t have time for a non-vigilante sibling. She feels alone and when Tim and then Damien are welcomed into the family they neglect her too. Damien even mocks her for being useless. The only family she had there is Alfred, as he made sure to care for darling whenever s he could.
When darling turns 18, she gets out of that house and goes to a university to study journalism. She becomes an investigative journalist who gained her reputation for going deep into the depths of corruption’s depravity and meets this one dude named Miles Upshur who she becomes partners with as they both are freelance journalists because they don’t censor the truth. They get an email one day telling them about messed up things happening at Mount Massive asylum.
They both go and cue the events of the game Outlast and Outlast Whistleblower. I’m not sure if you are comfortable with the contents of those games so I summarize it by saying the patients were being experimented on and broke free causing Miles to get trapped in the asylum with no way to fight back. He only has places to hide and a camera with night vision that drains his batteries. He gets very injured and Whistleblower is the same concept as it’s the same place but from the perspective of the one who sent the email. I imagine the darling was somehow separated from miles but ended up getting out of there with the whistleblower.
She took the footage and instead of letting the whistleblower release it, as the company begging the asylum would hunt him and his wife and kids down, she would be the one as her reputation precedes her. But after dropping the whistleblower off at his home she has no choice but to go to her old one, cause if the company couldn’t ruin her reputation, could just silence her like they did with everyone else. The batfam is going to be very confused when a freshly traumatized, bloody, and bruised darling shows up on their front porch, clutching camcorders to her chest like a lifeline. Who knows, they might just not let her out if this is how she ends up after being on her own.
again really sorry if this is weird or too long! It’s just been brewing in my brain and I needed to share it
God it’s been forever since I played Outlast, I don’t remember everything about the game cause I was screaming and crying for the most part and I literally could only watch Whistleblower and had to skip some stuff
This might not be entirely game accurate cause it has been a hot minute but I will do my best
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I do not think Bruce would be exactly neglectful especially since this is yandere content and obsession starts when they normally meet their darling, like a root that takes hold and begins to grow after certain events. I imagine that her mom did not want her daughter to meet Bruce cause she thought he would not be a good influence, the whole billionaire playboy persona. She raised her daughter on her own until her death, her daughter can remember sitting in the hospital when the doctor told her that she was dead, died of radium poisoning, her body decaying while she was still alive.
She remembers sitting in the waiting room of the hospital, waiting after the staff called her biological father to pick her up, a nurse sitting with her. She knew why her mother did not want her to meet her, but her mother was wrong to an extent. She honestly expected someone like Alfred to pick her up, who she knew because he would meet with her mother for fund related affairs since she did not want her daughter knowing her father…
But Bruce was the one who picked her up, in fact he practically came running when he got the call from the hospital when he was at a gala.
When Bruce came into the hospital waiting room, he kneeled down to her level and took her little hands in his, he felt so sorry for not knowing, he could have helped, but for now what he can tell her is…
“Everything will be okay, I’ll keep you safe.”
Bruce is not intentionally neglectful, he really does try his best, but between being Batman and handling his daily affairs as Bruce Wayne he just does not have the time besides to have meals with her. He does keep her safe, puts a tracker in her bag or jacket in case anything goes wrong, but as if something will go wrong while she is playing soccer after school.
Dick is also probably very busy as well to give her much attention but he is pretty similar to Bruce in the way that he cares but he just does not have the time to now that he is Nightwing. He occasionally takes her out to do things, and he apologizes for not being able to spend more time with her, but he is just so busy.
Her and Jason are probably the closest, he is her big brother in his eyes. He helps her transition into her new home the most, making pillow forts, playing video games, taking her out to play in the snow. Then one morning she comes downstairs to see Alfred looking so solemn and Bruce sitting in an armchair in the living room, his head in his hands and still in the Batman suit, but no sign of Jason…
“Dad?”
She knows something is wrong so she hugs Bruce and it is the first time she sees him cry, he hugs her back, as if scared to let her go… but that is because he is.
“Oh sweetheart… I am so sorry.”
He was going to ask her to be a Robin one day, Jason would not have the mantle forever since after all Dick didn’t, but now he can’t stand the idea of loosing her, so he’ll keep her safe, even if that means keeping her at an arms length.
I think after Jason’s death he would probably send her to boarding school in a safer city like Metropolis or boarding school in a small town with next to no crime rate. It breaks his heart to send her away like that, but it is what keeps her alive. She comes home on the holidays and breaks but there is just an aura about the house now that Jason is gone, a constant state of sadness and as if a hand is holding onto her, which is fair because when she is home she isn’t allowed off of the manor grounds, Gotham is just too dangerous. That doesn’t mean they make more time for her, no her summers and holidays are just as lonely as they were before, only this time she is isolated from the outside world and left lonely by her own family.
Tim is similar to Dick in the way that he feels bad but does not make much of an effort to spend more time with her, even less so than Dick does. He only texts her every now and then so show he somewhat cares and talks with her at family meals, but that’s it.
Then there is Damian, she cannot stand him. She knows he grew up entitled in the League of Assassins but he cannot even pretend to be nice. He talks to her as if she is beneath him, despite the fact that when he is brought into the manor she is a senior in high school.
“No wonder you never became Robin, why would father let the most useless child even-“
“Damian, that is enough!”
Luckily Bruce or Alfred normally intervenes and defuses the situation before Damian says something too extreme.
Then she graduates high school and moves on to university, which Bruce pays for in full without hesitation. It is there in university that she meets her partner in crime, Miles Upshur. They are practically joined at the hip and then when that first finals come around and their project is to do a mock investigation and article and they get to choose a topic to do it on and then Miles asked her…
“Hey, what do ya want to do this on? Lexcorp? Abuse in the ballet industry? Maybe-“
“The radium scandal in the Gotham City Chemical Plant.”
“That’s oddly specific, why?”
“It’s how my mom died.”
And that’s how everything started with their chosen path of investigation. They graduate and the two of them even get photos in their graduate robes and degrees together. Her family comes, which an empty seat to honor Jason, despite him watching from a back doorway, she does not need to know what happened to him in the Lazarus Pit and he certainly won’t be caught dead with Bruce at the time.
Bruce is only okay with her going into journalism because he thinks she’ll be working behind a desk at a paper, not what her and Miles plan on doing…
If he knew he certainly would not be happy and try to find a way to interfere…
But sadly he never remembered to ask exactly what she was going to do.
Her and Miles have done a number of stories together, after the first five or so Bruce found out the kind of work she was doing and repeatedly called her to try to talk her out of it, but she would ignore his calls every time.
It was just supposed to be another job, not whatever this was…
They got an email from an anonymous worker, asking to investigate the Murkoff Corporation and their actions at Mount Massive Asylum. The two even joked during their car ride over to the asylum, laughing about stories she shared about her life at the manor and their old college days, they had no idea what they would find inside.
The asylum even looked messed up from the outside, but the inside was a thousand times worse…
Patients who were experimented on, and now they were inhuman and trying to kill, disassemble, mutilate them, you get the idea…
An insane priest to put it lightly…
Dead bodies all over, murdered in horrible ways…
Everyone left alive in there was less than human, insane, or just about to go insane…
And when I say insane, I mean Joker levels of insane.
They get separated along the way, which is good for her, but not so good for Miles.
She makes it out alive thanks to their anonymous source who sent them the email in the first place, Waylon Park who is a software engineer. The two escape together and due to her shock she can’t remember much until long after she left Waylon at his home and she is pulled over at a rest stop half way between Lake County, Colorado and Gotham City, New Jersey, way to exhausted to continue on. She reaches for her phone and finally calls Bruce back.
“D-dad… are you there?”
“Yes, what’s wrong? Did something happen?”
“S-so much… I want to go home… please I…”
She passes out from exhaustion while on the phone…
But luckily, do you remember what I said about Bruce putting trackers on her things? He never stopped when she was an adult.
When she wakes up she is back home in the manor, in her old room. She is laying flat on her back with everyone around her, even Damian and…
“Jason?”
“Ya… I’m here, lovebug. Just rest, you certainly need it.”
“Need it? For fucks sake she is missing a finger!”
“Dick, shut up-“
Bruce yells them to shut up and he holds her bandaged and stitched hand in his…
“Sweetheart, what happened?”
She only points to the camera in her things as asks them not to play it in front of her. They all watch it together in the Batcave before patrol and…
“Oh my god.”
It is worse than what the Joker did to Jason.
When she finally recovers and is going to write the story and-
No she is not allowed to, Bruce will handle the situation, most likely bringing it to the attention of the Justice League.
In fact she is not allowed to write another story again, she is not leaving the manor again. She is not a hero, she is just a reporter, and Jason is unable to fully move on after what happened to him so how well will she fair out in the real world in her fragile mental state? What if something happens that triggers those memories? They are not letting her take that risk.
Most days she is kept in her room, a controlled environment to make her feel safe. Then most nights one of her brothers or Bruce sleeps beside her in bed after patrols in case nightmare come up and she wakes up screaming. If her mental state get too bad they’ll sedate her so at least her mind is calm and she is not getting flashbacks. Bruce eventually gets her a therapist to work through what happened to her so at least she can have some what of a normal life after what happened…
Well as normal as you can get when you are locked inside for the rest of your life.

See one of my favorite things about fanon is that Dick is like a normal dude outside of nightwing like genuinely he’s normal person who isn’t that extreme canonically. He loves his family but he needs space with them and doesn’t want to be a carbon copy of his father.
He follows Bruce is moral compass while also being more lenient on some crimes. He canonically values life and protecting the sanctity over it than actually stopping crime and has a very strong moral compass that exceeds “well it’s the law”. Dick canonically thinks that Corrupt police officials are worse than criminals and became a cop to weed them out the same way he did the mob. And has bad blood with the BPD despite working for them.
He has genuine reservations about trusting Jason for obvious reasons even if you don’t like Dicks run as Batman where Jason was flat out the worst or like stealing the Nightwing suit in New York in brothers and blood. While still being able to work with and like him.
He is supportive of Tim while still being frustrated at taking on more work bc he knows Tim does too much and will need help.
He loves Damian but steps away from that relationship because unlike Bruce at his age he’s emotionally mature enough to realize he cannot be a parent for the kid. A role model sure! A big sibling, yeah. But not a parent.
He didn’t want Steph as spoiler, Robin or batgirl bc she wasn’t well trained but neither did literally anyone else. Once she and him started working together they had a decent relationship.
Dick and Cass have a strong relationship and he helped Babs with her when Bruce was being an asshole while still not stepping into a parent role bc he’s in his mid 20s and not going to do that actually.
And Dick believes Duke is going to become a big leader in the hero world and sees his potential despite not agreeing with the we are Robin thing.
And the fanon goes 1 of 3 ways
he’s fully uninvolved, doesn’t like the bats, has cut them off after trying to send Tim to Arkham, and abusing/ mistreating or co-signing the mistreatment of Jason. All his relationships with everyone except Damian have been erased. He ruined Tim’s trust, hated young!jason, has never spoken to Steph or duke and Cass doesn’t like him because she’s on babs side or in Hong Kong.
Or
Literally Bruce Wayne’s lapdog, says yes to everything with the worst case of battered women’s syndrome you’ve ever seen. Jason must stand up for him and protect him from the big bad bat/ the bats cut him off aswell after abandoning the bat movement (more rare but I’ve seen it). He doesn’t have critical thinking and his morals are identical to Batman’s and he refuses to question them. Will call the police on a homeless man stealing food bc it’s illegal. And has never tried to rehabilitate anyone including his friends, abandoned Roy and Kory bc of moral differences. He’s still a cop and doesn’t understand the nuance that Jason, Tim, Steph and Duke do.
Or
Dumb himbo, doesn’t know nothing except smile and nod. Pretty face, no brain. Has had one thought and it’s the fact he misses his siblings and needs his cereal oh wait was that two thoughts? He forgot how to count lmao. Babs or Tim will roll their eyes and do stuff for him bc he’s so dumb and sweet like a puppy who has had a lobotomy. :( doesn’t even have a college degree dumb silly teehee. Worst liar you’ve ever met everyone can see right through him hehe. He’s loves Bruce and calls him Dad 24/7 and uses nicknames for everyone.
And like it’s total flanderization
He has some of these traits sure, (more rigid moral compass, more willing to work with other heroes and delegate though this one literally only became a thing during Tom kings run and maybe a little bit after Donna died, in the current canon he went to Uni for business and dropped out, he’s not as good on the tech side as oracle)
But they’re just so exaggerated and I firmly believe it’s bc the rest of the bats are so extra. Like Tim trying to clone his dead bestie 99 times.
Jason goodness gracious I’ve been bamboozled let me try and kill the penguin on live tv
Damian my mother literally tore my spine out
. Duke let’s start a cult that’s something that isn’t dumb and won’t get us murdered.
And Dick is just there like… yeah fuck okay.
Like he’s still unhinged even for a superhero but he’s just objectively more hinged than all of his siblings like you’re telling me if TIM got the talon ancestry storyline shit wouldn’t have hit the fan??? The mother fucker who at age like 13 broke in Nightwing and starfire’s house, memorized all their schedules bc he’s the most insane stalker you’ve ever met. You’re lying and we both know it.
And everyone thinks their fave is the sane won and you are all just wrong I fear. I have already slandered Tim so I’ll do the rest for funsies
“Oh babs is the only sane one”
Bby Barbara is such a stalker with a need for control someone stole her tech and turned Gotham into a police state. If she decided that she wanted to go dictator she has a WHOLE setup for it. She’s also unhinged
“Jason just needs to get away from the bats then he’s the only sane one who the others go to for protection”
Yall Jason’s 2 biggest teams were
An Amazon, and a kryptonian
An arrow and an alien (also some times an Amazon)
So the league big three knock off and a titans knock off
He has also slept with his dad’s ex and 2 of his brother’s exes. Let’s not pretend that he’s being dragged back into the bat family, bro never left.
He wears a bat on his chest
He has a helmet with explosives in it… when he died in an explosion and fought with a crowbar when it was one of the major reasons he died. Let’s not talk about his whole thing with scarlet but the Morrison run had some weird characterization.
“Damian-“ no actually you can’t even start with Mr let’s go to Lazarus island. Let me adopt a giant bat monster bc my abusive childhood means I slaughtered his entire race. No actually I will not allow it. The fucker is unhinged and I love him.
“Steph” - you know what she is also my fave so everything she has ever done is justified and she has the best batgirl run and also her and Damian are hilarious. (She’s also the best female bat hands down I prefer her to both Cass and Babs for so many reasons I will not get into)
In summary this isn’t actually a criticism I find it hilarious plz keep going my darling fanon fanfic writers

I am massively busy with work and finalizing my Big Bang, but this idea just won't leave...
Steve and Eddie are both actors. They're in their mid thirties, well established, but they never starred together in anything. Steve tends to be cast in the same type, the dumb but pretty love interest, Eddie has lots of indie and disturbing movies under his belt. But this time, they both landed something big.
They get cast in the new Batman movie.
Steve is, of course, Batman. He insists on doing his own stunts. He refuses to get dehydrated for his shirtless scenes because he knows how damaging it is to both young men and women alike, he's not going to contribute to shitty expectations. The director (Dustin, duh!) sees something in him other directors never have - a potential for depth, for internal turmoil. He gives Steve the chance to prove himself as an actor and Steve pounces on it.
He's still very hot.
Eddie is cast as the Joker. He is a fan of the comics and scoffs at how absurd and deranged the character is becoming. He gets hired because he immediately says he doesn't think the character needs to rely on cheap tricks and shock value to be terrifying. Cutting off his face? Not cool. He suggests to play the Joker according to one of the older comics he has - one where the Joker is actually absolutely sane, but hides it to never be held accountable for his actions. The only person who ever saw through his ruse was Dr. Harleen Quinzel. Joker took care of that issue very quickly.
The chemistry between Steve and Eddie on screen is insane. They go toe to toe, it's impossible to look away when they interact. Eddie utilizes his bright smile to the maximum, tweaking it just right within moments so it becomes unsettling. The first time he laughs, Steve gets goosebumps.
Steve encompasses Bruce's loneliness so well Eddie's heart breaks for him. Dustin finds him in the trailer, giving himself gentle slaps over the face and muttering "you're evil, damn it, you don't want to comfort the Bat!!".
Batgirl (Robin) and Harley Quinn (Chrissy) find their slow descent into love hilarious. They all become good friends on the set.
Hopper, an acting veteran who plays Commissioner Gordon, grasps Steve's shoulder after an intense fight scene and mutters: "Good job, Steve, but maybe don't stare at his lips so much?"
Robin doesn't give him the same courtesy and once Dustin yells "Cut!", she screeches: "NOW KISS!"
The movie is a hit. People love the cast and the story, some of the OG fans complain as they always do, but the ratings are great, there are many interviews, panels, all of that.
And of course, there's gossip about Steve and Eddie being a thing, which enrages the macho Batman fanbase. Their Batman isn't gay!
But the rumors quickly disappear after an award ceremony where Eddie is nominated for the best supporting actor. He wins, of course. And as he gets up to accept the small statue and deliver a speech with enough "fuck"s to give the censor a headache, he drags Steve up and kisses him in front of the whole world.
A week later, Steve and Eddie are together in front of a camera again, answering questions in an interview.
The host asks: "What do you say to those fans that are disappointed, who say that their Batman isn't gay?"
Steve just snorts, pulls Eddie closer and answers: "They're right. Their Batman isn't gay. But he's definitely bi."
Also the comic story I'm mentioning exits and is short but fantastic. 10/10 recommend.
Oh also. The first spark happens when Steve sees Eddie's hair and blurts out: "Please tell me they're not making you cut it shorter. It's too gorgeous for that."
Also because people were asking about the comics - it's Batman Black and White - Case Study and it can be found on Tumblr HERE
