So I mentioned in the tags in a previous post how much the trust grew between (Captain) Holden & Amos in season 3. Which wasn't exactly correct because it really picked up between them with the last ep of season 2 when Holden & Amos talks over the last resort of ep 13 which is killing Holden. Amos being Amos never shies from the truth & is honest in promising he'll kill him. But he also expresses what I read as regret if it comes to that because "Holden's always trying to be a good man" & it's been nice being on the good side of things for once.

And then in season 3 Miller shows up & Holden's acting hella weird & there's a whole thing where Amos offers to listen if Holden wants to vent.

And I had such a hard time finding gifs for this but I love that Holden's reply here is "that's [not being judgy] a good quality to have".

And Amos knows Cap's not ok, I love what that says about good he's become at reading Cap & emotions isn't Amos forte.

And then later when Holden asks straight out for Amos to trust him in what seems like an impossible situation. And he does. Straight up believes in his captain. And I just love to see where they're at. And what this whole season means for season 4 when Amos & Holden basically becomes a duo where it's so necessary to have that trust without the rest of the Roci fam as filters.

I just, I love them. God I want all the fic in where this builds to letting Amos become a triad with Holden & Naomi. And in my dreams where Holden & Amos holds down the fort on Roci while Naomi's visiting her wife Drummer. I just want everyone to be happy. Except Marco, he can die in a fire.
