If you ship one side of two opposing ships, you should be posting/tweeting about how much you love and appreciate that ship, the reasons you ship it, etc. Posting thoughts critical of the other ship, or how it baffles you that anyone could like that garbage ship is also just fine. You can even be mean or petty about it if you want, it's your post. What is not fine: hopping on someone else's post to tell them they're delusional/stupid/media illiterate for liking their ship--even if you absolutely believe they are. They are in their space posting an opinion and unless they're literally asking for a debate or to hear other opinions, why bother taking the time to be confrontational and/or smug? Even if you're speaking up to defend your ship (or the actors) you're not making a point to anyone who'll listen. You won't change hearts and minds. All you're doing is contributing to negative vibes in both shipper camps. I would also recommend not engaging with anyone who jumps onto one of your posts to spew bile all over your opinion. The only reason a person behaves that way is to spark conflict, and you do them a BIG FAVOR by taking the bait and allowing yourself to be provoked.

To sum up: if you absolutely hate a ship, post away. Find others who agree with you and comment on eachother's posts. Rant all day long, it's fine. But please resist the urge to comment on posts happily celebrating why that ship you hate is actually wonderful and beautiful and totally endgame.

south africa was banned in the olympics in 1964, 1968, 1972, 1976, 1980, 1984, 1988 & 1992. a total of 8 times. for 28 years they didn't set foot in the olympics. you know why? apartheid. apparently the olympics disagreed with the apartheid regime in south africa. russia & belarus aren't allowed to take part in the olympics this year. you know why? because of their involvement in the war in ukraine. several countries throughout history haven't been allowed to participate in the olympics because of various reason from their involvement in war to human rights abuses. now if the olympics aren't blind to all that... why in the world are they blind to what israel has been doing to gaza for the past 10 months? why is a genocidal apartheid nation allowed to participate in the olympics when any other country in its place would've been banned?
