I knew there was gonna be someone jumping on that CR post and going on about how “I’ve done the math and have concluded that $100 isn’t even that bad for an annual service fee-“

#the fact is #even if it’s annual that is still a lot of money to waste on a streaming platform #you have to take into account that you are not going to even be using the service all that much anyway as well #like unless you’re one of those people who can find the time to binge anime multiple times a week for a whole year and don’t mind then #whatver (even though you could just as easily pirate the shit. anime is one of the most accessible media forms in the world)#I accidentally got $40 bucks taken out of my account for pixiv because I forgot to cancel my free trial on time #and I needed that $40 man #the thought of spending $100’s of bucks on something that you could easily find on Google for free within seconds is #ridiculous to me personally #rambling #you can’t ‘well actually’ this kind of shit #outside of purchasing physical DVDs and so on #I remember the time when piracy was pretty much one of the only ways to watch anime back in the day #it’s just…. we’ve gotten to a point where there are people who don’t think it’s that big of a deal and that is what’s so upsetting to me #you shouldn’t be okay with any of this #these companies are getting over on people who don’t know any better or care enough

the thing about many comics is that they will list female characters at the VERY edge of underweight for their height (or just straight up underweight) and then list male characters at the edge or well into overweight for their height and blame both on “muscle.”

Dick Grayson at 5 ft 10 and 175 lbs (general canon average) is overweight by BMI. Cassandra Cain at 5’5 and 110 lbs is underweight by BMI. and I’ve seen female characters as tall as 5’9 getting down to 110-115 lbs in canon estimates.

carrying extra muscle rarely means carrying less weight overall. Dick Grayson might be a BMI outlier for having more muscle than the average human (making his slightly overweight BMI arguably healthy) but being underweight and carrying a higher proportion of muscle than the average human rarely benefits women.

time to get real, DC. I want my 5’5+ women ripped and somewhere between 130-150. If they’re carrying more muscle, it just makes sense. if it’s for “agility” then why is Dick Grayson allowed to be overweight by BMI?

#I'M NOT A HATER I SWEAR I ACTUALLY REALLY LIKE IT ON PAPER #i do however think that it came literally out of nowhere and was hella rushed and kinda ridiculous #like. if the argument is that original ekko fell in love with jinx it doesn't make sense because they were enemies for most of their lives #if the argument is that current ekko fell in love with au powder and now projects these feelings on jinx it's kinda uh. messed up #because she's a whole different person. entirely. it doesn't matter if both these version started out as a 9-year old powder. they had #extremely different lives and experiences and thinking that “there's still this kind of powder in jinx deep down” is straight-up awful #OR even if he didn't project his feelings for powder on jinx why would he love her in the current universe? last time they met she blew them #up and now she wants to commit suicide. there's literally no reason for him to have any kind of feelings except the slight friendly #affection that's left from all those years ago. and yet the show and most importantly the fandom treats them like a couple??? i don't get it #also it's kinda insane that s2 turned jinx and ekko into flat shipping material #again. obviously i have nothing against the shippers and do not condemn it in any way. i'm just expressing my thoughts on the matter #also what pisses me off the most. is how in ep9 jinx in fully painted with ekko's symbols here and there. has the bandage (?) on her chest #like vi. has a hood that looks like a drawing that isha made. and yet there's no fishbones or any reference to silco at all #i mean. i get it s2 hates him but i can't help it #they gave her all these relationships and pretended that they're significant to her and yet they didn't have any proper development #to really earn it #arcane critical #arcane season 2 #anti timebomb #jinx arcane #ekko arcane
