親子して体調を崩していたので遠出はせず、本屋に行ってすき家で牛丼。

📍大碗丼 at 五道口购物中心 🍚日出千层猪花套餐, stacked pork slices rice bowl set meal with miso soup, salad with sesame dressing, onsen egg and tsukemono (💸48 RMB/$7 USD).

🍲 I wish I could geotag this place properly because the food here is really good. The pork was well seasoned and paired well with pretty much everything, not too fatty but still had a good texture.

🥚 The egg was cooked to perfection, holding its shape until burst, letting the runny yolk out. The only issue I had was that the salad wasn't as cold as expected, but that might have been because I waited until after I finished the other food to eat it. If you are around Wudaokou, try this place out!

KATSU-DON (pork KATSU served on top of a bowl of rice) + KAKE-SOBA (buckwheat noodles) = 1,300 yen at KOMATSU-ANN in Ogikubo, Tokyo. Is it a new mode since last year to leave the white meat of the egg in katsudon rare? I want the egg white to be cooked through and hardened because the white meat is sizzling when it is raw. Was this done on some TV show? Crockpot Smoked Neckbones are a tasty way to enjoy smoke. In this simple crockpot recipe, smoked neckbones are cooked slowly with aromatic vegetables and tasty spices. For a hearty and comforting meal that doesn't take much work, serve over rice.

Ingredients: 3 lbs smoked neckbones. 1 onion, finely chopped. 2 celery stalks, chopped. 2 carrots, peeled and sliced. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 cup chicken broth. 1 can 14 oz diced tomatoes. 1 teaspoon dried thyme. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Salt and black pepper to taste. Cooked rice, for serving. Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish optional.

Instructions: Place smoked neckbones, chopped onion, celery, carrots, and minced garlic into the crockpot. Pour chicken broth and diced tomatoes with their juices over the ingredients. Season with dried thyme, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the neckbones are tender and the flavors are well melded. Serve the smoked neckbones over cooked rice. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired. Enjoy the rich and smoky flavor of Crockpot Smoked Neckbones with minimal effort! A comforting and hearty dish perfect for any day.
