Started watching the Bayverse movies with my besties and... Are we just too gay for these movies??? Admittedly we only finished the first two and got through a quarter of the third, but the second one was such a drag to sit through at times and it probably doesn't help that we do NOT care about Sam that much. I hope that there is a character arc for him in the rest of the third movie. Because so far he has not been fun to watch in that one. He just comes off as a slight manchild to me, like... I can see why he would be frustrated with where he is in life but the way he acts with others and lashes out does not help him in the slightest. I do have to admit though that seeing him go to Cybertronian Heaven in the second movie was the funniest part for me and my besties lol.

I'll just hope that the other guy in the next movies will be at least a bit more interesting. Doesn't even have to be a good guy, just an interesting guy for me lol

Something that makes me sick to my stomach is thinking about how orbulon is 2000 years old and I don't know how much time left he has. Is he going to outlive everyone. It makes me want to throw up.

#mayo blogs #i only have 50 pages left of iwtv #but i really don’t like reading pdfs on my ipad so i think i will switch over to the book anyway #i want to post a like step by step tracing of armand’s motivation around the trial in the show #but it kind of seems like work so i may not #it would be more fun to express narratively in armand/santiago fic but that is going to take me such a long time to write #and also like armand being armand you can only articulate so much of his thought process from his own pov #idk we’ll see what i do #but armand is so… he wants to be seen as a master manipulator but he’s just a bunch of trauma responses trying to reverse engineer #his own motivation after the fact when he’s under any kind of pressure #i’m really intrigued by the idea that armand ends up in the position he does after the trial because santiago accuses him of conspiring #with lestat to save louis and like that’s not what happened #but armand had to know what lestat was doing and could have stopped him if he wanted to and didn’t #so it’s true enough that armand can’t defend himself against the accusation #was thinking about the clip we get of them rehearsing the play after the reveal #where lestat is being a brat and santiago is looking at armand like ‘do something’ and armand is like kinda shrugs ‘you own this mess’#i want to poke that dynamic with a stick #i just�� the show goes out of it’s way to show armand actively avoiding lying and being really bad at it the times he does #he’s a master at manipulating narrative but flat out lying is barely in his skill set #and i want to interpret the show through that lense with bits and pieces of book canon stuck in only when appropriate and supporting that #(tag essay on my own post… guess i could have put that in te post body but it’s too late now)

latest news in the ben learns to drive saga is that we practiced in a stick shift today and it was evil and I hated it. BUT THEN we went back to the other car and I drove myself all the way home even along a busy street for a few blocks and then I parked in a parking spot and everything 😌

#my biggest struggles right now are knowing how big the car is #and thus being able to keep a safe distance from parked cars on the right side of the vehicle #and being able to go any speed above 15 without feeling like I'm gonna die #I'd say I've got turning down pretty good #and I'm fine w stopping at the right speed and going forward w/o weaving #I'm like.... Alright at parking #marginally decent at it #reversing uhm. I can do it but it still frightens me #well everything about driving frightens me but reversing is definitely up therec #like I'm actually like Fine at it I'm just not confident yet #but we will get there we will get there #everything about the stick shift is terrible and awful and I hate it tho #I was like this'll be fine I know how to go and stop and steer so I'll just have to learn another thing :^)#but I was wrong it felt like I had to relearn everything 😭#anyway gonna drive us to berry picking tomorrow except for the highway I'm excited >:)#no opera tho because it got sold out before I could buy tickets :(((#ghost posts #text
