hey if you are reading this can you please either 1) consider donating blood if you can and/or 2) reblogging this so that someone else will be encouraged to donate blood, because my wife gave birth five days ago and her life was saved by multiple blood transfusions. i cannot donate blood myself bc of Iron Problems. if you have ever donated blood, i love you. if you have never donated blood, i love you. if you cannot donate blood, i love you. if you are afraid of donating blood, i love you. if you do not ever donate blood although you can, i love you. you do you. also did you know that the gay thing got repealed or smth. idk how to describe it. im a Bit sleep deprived.
HERES HOW YOU CAN FIND WHERE TO DONATE BLOOD IN THE USA VIA THE RED CROSS
if people want to add international orgs in reblogs that would be very cool.
ps. heres me and my offspring.

i usually have so many words. they have been replaced with an almost hilariously infinite number of feelings.
my wife is doing amazing for someone who lost significantly over two liters of blood. did you know that humans have between four and six liters of blood. in their whole bodies. also if you dont support reproductive rights and access like abortion and birth control prenatal care and anti-racist reproductive practices and stuff for everyone i will hunt you down myself and should stop talking before this post gets taken down for being too threatening.
the baby is also doing so great. her hobbies include: stretching.
okay. im going to go lay down now. also free palestine

ART?? 👀
patience my dear wig it is very much a wip
although I don't think that I'll add any more characters along with Shrike and Posty, unless they meet them along the way.
i think you brought up a VERY interesting point that they're probably the only actual cybertronian children around, since protoforms are basically soulless husks and no one's really reproducing in the middle of or after a war
theyre really a pair of black sheep on cybertron

I'm having trouble wording this but. You all know that abortion ban exceptions aren't sincere, right? Lawmakers don't add in exceptions for rape, incest, or to save the mother's life because they actually want to save people. They know full well that those exceptions are next to impossible to prove within the given time frames and that's the only reason they were included; so that conservatives can point at them and say that they're proof that abortion bans aren't about punishing people for getting pregnant.
But they know the chances of sexual abuse and assault survivors "proving" that they've been assaulted, let alone within the couple months they have before they can no longer get an abortion. They know the bureaucracy of determining that an abortion is medically necessary and how many people will die before hospitals boards reach a decision. They know all that already. That's the point.

The BBC and New York Times both had some interesting coverage on the Alabama IVF ruling. NYT spends more time on it, but I think the BBC's shorter section has an interesting approach by interviewing a bunch of pro-life people who are almost bewildered by the fact that yes, the tigers are also eating their faces.
EDIT: The BBC Global News Podcast generally has three or four topics per cast, and the IVF discussion is second in this one. I believe the timestamp varies by region due to some advertising algorithm, but for me it's at about six and a half minutes in, starts with "For decades, the debate over reproductive rights--"

People really hating on Alicent over her getting an abortion (or more likely using the equivalent to plan b) and some going as far to say that the use of moontea is “against her faith” like girlie what happened to a woman’s right to choose?

Conversations on here will basically be like
"Hey these new reproductive rights issues are affecting trans men too so let's make sure we include them in the conversation, instead of calling it women's health issues."
"Would you stop complaining? Trans women have it worse than trans men. TERFs want to kill us but only detransition you."
"If living as the gender you are not is so easy why would you transition in the first place? Obviously trans people transition because they can't live with existing as a gender they are not. Obviously "just going back" isn't an option because we often fail to behave the way we're expected to anyway. Forcing any trans person to detransition is a death sentence in and of itself."
"Why are you always speaking over transfems when we talk about transmisogynistic violence???"

connected to this concept of birth giving and this comics ⚠️heavy topics below beware⚠️
so this idea sat in my head for a while what if sans not really a brother for papyrus..? well not biologically(or magically…) at least so i thought how could he get in this position and came up with some ideas for starters all this 'low fertility and forced injections of lust' reminds me so much of The Handmaid's Tale(i've watched only like 10 episodes but i got the main idea of reproductive abuse it portrays) so this and the concept of Gaster experementing on his children(on "child" in this case) just fused into this concept -> what if gaster tested his lust injections on sans 'cause em.. no body's gonna know?like maybe he didn't gave birth to him, he just found sans below some magic object and raised him in his closed laboratory to get more knowledge about fertility and lifegiving topic. gaster might forced this soulling artificially and that's how sans got paps and may be gaster tried to End this Experiment 'cause sans's little soul was at risk but sans rebelled and ran away or something idk all these things are very ethemeral in my head
or it was just another monster, some stranger or someone close and "trustworthy". may be sans wanted it. may be not. every option has it's own interesting themes to exlore really.
one thing i'm sure about is that paps doesn't know and after gaster dissolved in the Core sans might not know neither.. they're happy to be brothers and that's all they need actually

Thinking a lot about how a lot of transphobia is rooted in the misogynistic idea that a woman's role is to reproduce and submit to her husband.
It manifests itself in different ways, but they all share the same root.
For transphobia against trans women, it manifests as transphobes blasting trans women for "immigrating" womanhood and telling trans women that they'll never be real women because, ultimately, they don't have a uterus and can't become pregnant. Trans women who have vulvas are told that their vulvas aren't "real", even if their vulvas can fulfill every other aspect of a vulva except for the processes involved in pregnancy. Trans women's existence challenges the notion that a woman's worth is measured by whether or not she can become pregnant and submit.
For transphobia against trans men, it manifests as transphobes fear-mongering about trans men "mutilating" their bodies, especially their "female" organs like breasts, uterus, and vulva. They fear-monger about testosterone, saying that it'll render anyone who takes it infertile, as if becoming infertile is worse than a trans man taking his life because he can't transition. Not to mention that testosterone doesn't render the taker infertile. Trans men who elect to remove their breasts and get a hysterectomy are further demonized as abandoning the principles of womanhood- becoming pregnant and being desirable.
If it was truly about concern about infertility, then why do trans women not face the same scrutiny for the way estrogen may affect the testes and penis? It's because one uterus can only produce so many babies while one penis can fertilize a nearly infinite amount of offspring. It's about the commodification of reproduction- transphobes don't care whether trans women can reproduce or not because they don't need them spread their "undesirable" seed- but trans men are seen as women by virtue of their uteruses and thus must continue to be controlled.
Trans women challenge this system by insisting that they are women even though they cannot become pregnant- they force the people in power to reckon with the reality that many women, regardless of their assigned sex, cannot or do not wish to become pregnant, and have been suppressed for this for so long.
Trans men challenge this system by placing their own value over the value of their fertility- by asserting that their mental and physical well-being is more important than their ability to become pregnant. They force the people in power to reckon with the reality that many people do not wish to become or remain pregnant, that to become pregnant would be detrimental to their well-being.
Non-binary people challenge this system by refusing to submit to the rigid classifications of "man" or "woman", and all the expectations that entail with those roles.
People hate trans people because our very existence threatens the fragile definitions of gender and gender expectations that exist to uphold a patriarchal system.

I work at a pharmacy. We sell, among other things, Plan B emergency contraceptive. It's perfectly legal for anyone including minors to purchase contraceptive without prescription or ID for reasons that should be obvious.
Yesterday I discovered that the company I've worked for for the last five years is now carding customers coming to buy Plan B and refusing the sale to minors. It doesn't seem like it's illegal to refuse the sale, but it's absolutely boiling my blood that they would do this. Unwanted pregnancy is a major cause of suicide in minors and I don't think I can in good conscience abide by this policy.
What can I do about this? This is fucked up.

#i think i will just have to grab cutscene footage from online... im not waiting for that sh... lmao#this has me admitting that i'm not a gamer and left that identity behind some time ago... which is kind of sad but ok#thoughh when witcher 4 drops... 😈#oh my god i typed witcher 34 instead of witcher 4. i think that already exists on the internet LOL#i'm actually not as excited for w4 as i am for the remaster of the first game#i also don't have any saves and i need footage of like some late-quest stuff (just for a mention of lore inconsistencies LOL)#like what do i do go beat tw3 AGAIN just to get a clip of ciri facing the white frost#...................... well........#ok ngl actually a shot of emhyr in the beginning of the game would be better to explain 'lore inconsistencies'#because that's probably more aggravating to me than the 'we changed the white frost so you can fight it' thing#that thing is understandable. that's like basic video game logic. antagonists can be fought...#and though i don't like that messaging that forces of nature can be fought...#i understand this is a AAA game with outcomes that need to be written as endings. it's not an experiential VN#emhyr in tw3 though has just annoyed me and has actually annoyed me ever since i found out his character from the books#after all that you're gonna take him and pretend he just wanted to be a better dad and have a good heir on the throne...#well ok he did want a good heir on the throne. to be fair. just. not ciri but her child ... ahem#tw3 just dropped that pregnancy plot like a hot potato 😭 because it's so uncomfortable#without vilgefortz to decapitate in the end and the lodge actively plotting around i admit it loses its meaning#also to be fair tw3 does not have that throughline about reproduction and destiny that the books do#like the begetting of progeny is a huge huge huge theme in the books and so ciri's storyline is just one of a few ways it comes up#without geralt and yennefer specifically being angsty at the start about children it doesn't really work as a plot for ciri later on#the elbow-high diaries

Having Omegaverse variant thoughts again, namely:
Omega males in alpha/beta/omega settings often have a reproductive tract pass through the rectum
Reproducing through the same orifice as you excrete feces is unlikely unless it's a cloaca
Animals that reproduce through a cloaca are by and large egg-laying species (with the exception of a very few mammals)
Ergo: Omega males actually lay eggs, even though omegaverse females gestate the standard way
(Or the omega males could be all marsupial about it I guess?)
Two options: the egg is small and there is a "flushing" of the rectum followed by a MASSIVE hormonal influx to nesting instincts to ensure the egg is lain in a clean and safe space instead of Where We Shit
OR the male omega is bingeing and swelling to pregnancy size for about two months? and then lays a soft-skinned egg (also with the hormonal influx situation), which is way less physically traumatic than live pregnancy since the cervix undergoes less strain and there's less risk of complications overall due to fewer Rigid body parts. (Chance of tearing to the egg skin, though)
Would have an impact on social norms where omega males are expected to carry even more than women because Sorry, Honey, It's Just Less Of A Health Risk, Boo.
This is like a less-cursed counterpart to my hyena assertions.
