I have a slightly angsty headcannon about Sonic.

I know he's not normally big on touch or physical affection, but based on two scenes, there seems to be an implication that he gets more clingy/keen on touch when he's in pain. 🥲

The first example is in Sonic Frontiers. Tails knows Sonic better than anyone. When Sonic freed Tails from his cyber cage, and Tails saw him on his knees and coughing, what did he IMMEDIATELY try to do?

Run and hug him. 🥹💔

As if there were previous times when Sonic was suffering with one thing or another, and Tails's hugging him helped him feel a little better. 🥹 Of course, Sonic then tried to brush it off and hide it from Tails, but Tails's initial reaction still says something to me.

The second example is in the last episode of Sonic Prime. The set of scenes between the energy extraction and returning home is probably the most vulnerable I've ever seen Sonic act around his friends, and the most he's had to rely on them (which really says something about how bad he must've been feeling 💔). Besides a couple scenes when he was more or less standing on his own, he spent almost the whole time leaning on one of his friends. He was practically clinging to Knux at the start of it.

There were low-key moments like this later on with Thorn holding his hand and Shadow carrying him, but this moment stuck out the most to me in context of this headcannon.

It's ... both sad and sweet. I'm just glad Sonic's friends are there for him when he needs them. 💙

Marshall: Hakon Matyjas and Brock Rumlow are very similar in their essence. Both work for the bad guys, both aka spies are on the opposite side of the conflict, and no one suspects their double loyalty.

The Winter Soldier and Aiden have memory problems, partial amnesia, and enormous strength compared to humans.

Brock Rumlow oversees the Winter Soldier, Hakon oversees Aiden.

Hydra and the Renegades have at least one scientist experimenting with the serum, and what Waltz created can be called the supersoldier serum.

The S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers are pure Peacekeepers, aka local fighters, for justice and for all good against all bad. The survivors are civilians, often dissatisfied with the work of local defenders.

The heat of the plot is that Aiden doesn't remember anything because he's being reset. That is, he even sees Hakon every time like the first time. Hakon calmly watches the reset as a supervisor, but as a person, he feels pangs of conscience. And Aiden, every time he sits down in the treatment chair, looks at Hakon through the protective glass and feels something between resentment and betrayal, but then he forgets everything again.

Volatile: One day, Hakon drunkenly, when Aiden is supposedly already sleeping on the table, talks about what connected them before everything. And even though Aiden is being reset, he still remembers this conversation somewhere deep inside.

Marshall: By the way, given the fact that Aiden is reset after each mission (upon returning to base) (erasing his memory and purely using him as a living weapon without a personality), Hakon can, after getting drunk, confess to Aiden about Hydra, Waltz, Lawan and the VNC Tower, knowing that he will not remember it the next day.

Volatile: And Aiden has a glitch. And he's like, "I despise you" after confession?

And Hakon was like, "But I saved you."

Like, it's impossible to save everyone. And he continues to persistently save Aiden.

AND AIDEN'S LOOK AT THE ART TURNS OUT TO BE ON HIS FINGERS. WHAT'S THE CHANCE THAT AIDEN AND HAKON SLEEP TOGETHER AND THEN AIDEN FORGETS EVERYTHING?

Marshall: MAXIMUM

Volatile: I think this ring belonged to Aiden before he was a soldier. And Hakon keeps it in the hope that Aiden will want it back one day.

Since Aiden has one prosthetic arm, even before everything, during the crash Hakon found only Aiden's severed arm, he thought that he was gone. Hakon took the ring in memory of Aiden.

Marshall: As military special forces, they're not supposed to wear jewelry on missions, but I think they might have worn rings on their left hands instead of their right ones.

Volatile: Or it could be a tattoo. When Hakon was burying Aiden's hand, he could put his ring in the coffin (put it on his finger). Hakon buried his heart. And he got a tattoo on his finger so he wouldn't forget. And he won't forget, of course.…

Marshall: God, it's painful and beautiful, but it's heartbreaking as hell. I can't even imagine Hakon's condition at that moment.

Volatile: It is necessary to open the topic with a thousand first dates - Hakon seduces Aiden every time, and in the morning he does not know where and with whom he was. Hakon wants not only physical intimacy, but also feelings. And Aiden is always indifferent afterwards, because for him it's just needs.

But Aiden isn't dumb, he doesn't tell anyone that he's starting to think about his work cycles. And that his memory was being erased. And that he's in a state of hibernation waiting. And how Hakon keeps coming and loving him. It's wild at first. But this is what allows Aiden to cling on and not fall into unconsciousness.

Marshall: IT'S BEAUTIFUL! Aiden knows what he should say about the errors, but he doesn't. He's redeveloping his "I", might say.

Will Rowe and his 404 peacekeepers squad drag Aiden and Hakon to freedom at a critical moment of escape?

Volatile: OH, YES!

Why isn't Aiden talking? Because the memories of nights with this man... Are they pleasant?

After the battles and tortures, feeling his hands, lips, heartbeat, warmth, breath tickling in his hair is so reminiscent of life.

Marshall: I can imagine how at first Aiden is in a state of "sleep" and doesn't react in any way, then he begins to hear and listen, and then he begins to react in small ways, like watching, trembling from touch, tilting his head, moving his fingers, and shortness of breath.

And Hakon may initially attribute this to the fact that it seems to him that Aiden hears, watches and "responds" that he is just an old fool in love.

i'm absolutely and completely projecting with this one but i think whenever someone says something that Nova thinks is stupid or makes her uncomfortable, ie strangers trying to flirt with her or people tapping stuff on a table in an annoying way, she just. stares at them. it's not even a full glare or like a side-eye or anything, she just kind of lets her face relax(rbf) and lowers her brows a little and just. does not say anything. i also think that's what she TRIED to do with Adrian when they first met at the parade but he was simply too nice to be affected.

I know you didn't work with that in a while but do you have any G. I. Joe headcanons? I'm curious.

I'm assuming you know exactly who my headcanons will be about, judging by what I have on my blog lol. I know it's been a little while, but I'm still working on another story, albeit slower because I have other projects going on as well. However, I do have many little Snakescar headcanons that I haven't put into a story (yet) and I'm glad for the chance to throw them out there! (Side note these are all based on Renegades)

The first time they met, Scarlett held Snake Eyes at gunpoint because she thought he was Cobra. It left quite an impression lol

Scarlett can handle spicy food better than Snake can.

If Duke were ever to find out what Snake looks like, I think his mind would be blown a little bit that the ninja looks like him (blonde hair, blue eyes).

If Snake could talk, he would talk at 500 miles an hour because Japanese is the fastest language in the world and that would carry over to his English as well. He signs fast instead, and sometimes Scarlett can't keep up.

Scarlett made him learn sign language. He didn't want to at first, but he caved as he grew more attached.

Snake has very calligraphy-styled handwriting.

Snake is good at cooking. Once he warmed up to the others, he and Roadblock might trade recipes.

Scarlett, who is very tech-savvy, is physically pained when Snake leaves a thousand tabs open.

Scarlett sometimes sings to herself while she's working, and Snake likes to listen, to her mortification.

Snake primarily gives Scarlett weapons as gifts (some of which he fashioned himself).

She hunts down genuine Japanese food to give him.

In a future where they are on better terms, Jinx would tell Scarlett embarrassing stories about Snake Eyes. He insists she's exaggerating. Storm Shadow would back her up.

In that same vein, there is a long standing semi-serious promise between Snake and Scarlett about going to Japan one day. When they finally do, it's to get married.

Storm Shadow would begrudgingly accept being a brother-in-law to Scarlett. He acknowledges he royally screwed up Snake's life, and she accepts Snake with his scars and makes him happy.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, though this got pretty long regardless! Hopefully you weren't expecting more widespread headcanons over the Joe roster because these two are my major brainrot fr

Random Renegades headcanons YEAA

I'm in the process of writing a Nelfia oneshot and it's giving me so many thoughts about Nell and Sofia, aged 40-50. Like post Sofia redemption and them getting together, now at the stage where they've been together for a good number of years and have settled into their routine together.

Where Nell still runs the Talbot. But Roxy and Amadin have long since moved out and started their own family, and George is out getting into her own adventures. With Sofia having moved in originally under the presence of keeping Nell company, but ends up taking on more and more responsibility around the pub and they end up running it together.

Nell living her best older woman, no nonsense, butch life. She's done her share of boasting about her adventures to patrons, and has honestly gotten a bit sick of the tourists that come just to gawk at 'The Rebel Nelly', but will still spin tales and recounts stories to the young children of the village, with funny voices and acting to match.

At this point she's also realised she's got some sort of charm that has people swooning over her. She still could care less, but she had over the years figured out how to get a few more tips and purchases out of these customers with a cocky wink and a well timed pet name. The locals all know its an act though, shaking their heads anytime a traveller tries anything further, knowing they'll get brushed off.

Cause Nell is very much dedicated and loyal to her wife, Sofia. They aren't wives in the legal sense, a pardon for Sofia was as much as they could wrestle when it came to the law. But, they are definitely wives in any other sense of the word. If you're paying attention you might notice a soft look, or a quick kiss between them while they tackle a busy night of drunk and rowdy patrons.

Despite earning her redemption, Sofia still notices the suspicious glances and conversations pausing when she comes near. It's nothing overt, not anymore, not after Nell found out about the treatment she was getting when she had first settled in. If anything, to Sofia it's the best she's ever been received by the town. Younger people tend not to care about her past, having not been affected by it personally and only knowing her as she is now, and will make friendly conversation with her. She's even made a few friends over the years. She's finally not isolated, and if that means ignoring a few glares from the older townspeople, she's okay with that.

Sofia doesn't mind working behind the bar, but she'd much prefer watching Nell do her thing there. Instead she's content to move around the room on a busy night collecting glasses and wiping tables, or will sit in the corner with a candle and her ink, pen and paper working on any accounts or communications need doing. Sometimes, on a slow day she will even add little magic effects to accompany the tales Nell is spinning for the little ones.

Just, sleepy sunny mornings where they lounge about their shared bed after late energetic nights in the pub. Soft looks and petnames and quick banter thrown across the room. Domestic moments and the odd adventure when it gets a bit too stuffy in the town. Just, yeah.

I dont know why, but for some reason I'm stuck with the headcanon of Cinder Fall being one of the few people in existence to unironically love clowns and think they're hilarious. Like, most modern humor and popular media will fly right over her head, but show her a man in big shoes tripping on a banana peel and she'll break into giggle fits.
