Superbat (Clark/Bruce): I find this ok, but personally, I like it when the trinity acts more like siblings, so it’s not my favorite. 5/10

BruHarvey: lovers to enemies? The angst? Amazing. 8/10

Dickbabs: idk. It feels kinda boring to me. Mainly because DC ruined both of their characters in order for them to be together. 4/10

DicKori: they’re soulmates. Idk what to tell you. And maybe you can tell how biased I am. Right now, they are the opitome of right person wrong time. 10/10

Jayroy: I don’t like this ship. It reduces Roy’s character down to a prop, the age gap feels kinda icky and I personally believe in Aro/Ace Jason Todd. 1/10

Superbat (Kon/Tim): the only version of superbat I truly ship. Reluctant friends, to besties, to flirty friendship, to a game of cat and mouse on if that taunt was real or if they were just fooling around? 10/10

DamiJon: I think their age gap never works in their favor. Either Damian’s too old or Jon’s too old, and it makes me feel wrong. And in more recent comics, they’ve been acting much more like siblings than friends who maybe possibly have chemistry with each other. But I do think if you wanted to go the romance route, it could be double unrequited love that was never expressed. Like a 10yr old Jon had a crush on a 13 yr old Damian. Jon left for almost a decade and comes back, looses feelings for Damian, but a 14yr old Damian has feelings for an 18 yr old Jon, but it never works out. 5/10. Just like their Dads

PENNYWAYNESSSS: 100000000/10. Like are you kidding me, this is the best ship ever and I love it so much.

BruTalia: 10/10. My favorite Bruce ship.

Brulina: 8/10. I like it… but I feel like it wouldn’t work out because Selina would get overwhelmed by the amount of wealth Bruce has. Like she thinks it’s what she wants, but it’s too much for her

Birdflash (Dick/Wally): 8/10. I see the appeal, they’re best friends with so much chemistry, but I feel like they would never date bc they value their friendship more and they’re both super busy

JayKyle: it’s the only Jason ship I like, but only because I want it to be one sided, with Kyle failing to flirt with Jason and Jason is completely oblivious and actually just hates Kyle but Kyle thinks Jason’s playing hard to get. (Kyles flirting is just arguing with Jason, so that’s why Jason never gets the hint) 7/10 +300 bc of hillarity

StephTim: I don’t like this ship because Stephanie deserves so much better, and Tim seems like the type to mansplain every little thing, and it would drive Steph up a wall. I also don’t like the notion that they would be friends after they break up. 3/10 bc they had that piano scene

DamiRae: 2/10. Garchel is a better ship, and I feel like their personalities are too similar.

Flatline/Damian: I love them. I think they’re cute, but I don’t see it lasting long. 4/10

StephCass: 9/10. No more needs to be said. But I won’t ever officially write them as being together within a fic bc Steph’s character deserves to be her own, rather than a lover of a Batfam member, and Cass has her own things to deal with

But when they storm the building and when James runs upstairs to hold Regulus at gunpoint, he doesn't expect Regulus to be so young. It was as though he'd been thrust into this job. But as soon as a sentence comes out of Regulus' mouth, James realises just how wrong he was. Also enemies to lovers because obviously.

"look the canon romantic pairings in it are all lovely and great (even if the show mainly shows Tinn & Gun and a bit of Sound & Win). then the headcanon pairings of Tinn & Sound is so good because it's like perfectly set up to be a friends to enemies to reluctant friends to lovers storyline as they were rivals as kids and also both have very different ways of showing affection that could have easily lead to misunderstandings and cause the enemies bit (until they are forced back together cause hey you're dating my new bestie!). Por & Pat are great because they almost seemed like they could be the endgame before the Tiw & Por storyline started (and Pat & Kajorn only got together in the special episode). Gun & Win is also good because it's like they're besties but get into conflict a lot because of Win's temper and Gun being the leader but they also care a lot about each other. Tinn and Tiw are the best besties for life and Kajorn is their little duckling following them around. Gun & Sound & Win & Yo & Pat & Por all have a band together but they're more than just bandmates and clearly love each other even though they fight. like they spend all of their time together, in their classes they all sit as a group in the back and they seem to spend most of their free time together. I just like the idea of them being queerplatonic <3 (Also special shout out to Nook because she's a very minor character that we don't see interact with the others as much but she's so cute and I also like the fact that out of all the named female high school students, she's the only one interested in men despite being the only going to an all girls high school)"

First of all there are Azz and Iruma; they are “soulmates”, which for Iruma means that Azz is his greatest friend of all time and their lives are inextricably combined, and for Azz means that he will devote his entire existence to Iruma, as that is the only thing worthy of the greatest demon ever. (Note: Iruma is not, in fact, a demon). They are everything to each other. Then we have Azz and Clara and Iruma, collectively the Love Trio; you can never have one without the others. what is the origin of your blog title: my blog title is "that's a beautiful thing to do" and it comes from the line, "you waited for me...that's a beautiful thing to do." which is in a movie called "a crime" from 2006, starring norman reedus. my blog is whatever i'm obsessed with in the moment (obvi lolol) and for a long while there i was mostly a walking dead blog and me and all my friends on here were obsessed with watching norman's absolutely bonkers filmography. anyway his character is a man called vincent, who's wife is murdered by a taxi driver (??) (it's been awhile idklol) and his neighbor is in love with him. and she waits for him ect ect. apparently i made gifs of the scene. (and good god, look at those old gifs 💀💀)

why is this my blog title? i literally couldn't say. i liked the line and whenever i went to change it, it looked weird with it gone. it's the same thing as my icon. i can't change it from ariel, it looks wrong 😂

otp(s) + shipnames: good god, buckle up 😩 (all of my main ones are probably on my ship edit list in my navigation, so people can look there.) but, for a general breakdown, i guess i'll start with the ones people know this blog for best:

jon snow x sansa stark (jonsa): my great loves.

the best fic, the best vibes. the complimentary arcs. the longing gazes and heavy breathing in full view other people? when they absolutely shouldn't be longingly gazing and heavily breathing in full view of other people?? because, um, they think they're siblings?? like...these two gotta calm down, it's borderline indecent.

i've never in my life read more meta for a ship and most are just brilliant. the way that these two echo each other throughout the story (both show and book) is just stunning and, because we don't actually have them in the books, yet (george, george please) just the imagined potentials of how they might interact and grow together in the original format is just so fun. (well, tragic and trauma, but fun.)

there's more elegant and substance built things to say, but for this i'll just say: perfection. y'all know how i feel about jon and sansa.

daryl dixon x beth greene (bethyl): the foundation.

again, the walking dead was my first legit fandom hold, here on tumblr dot com. like, all of my followers came from this era lmaoo. when i say daryl and beth are the foundation, i mean, like, at one point there were six of us in this fandom. people probably existed outside of tumblr, but on this hellsite there started with six of us and i actively remember us choosing what name to go with for their ship name andfdklsgkdfljghfdk. (i did have a soft spot for deth 😂😂)

i've never been a member of team d. (but, hey, shoutout to team d! 👋🏽) but, i legitimately sobbed during her last episode. it was so out of nowhere and so poorly done and i was absolutely miserable lmaoo. and i still solidly believe that these two are soulmates and should have been the next couple on the show. and that bitch ass robert kirkman destroyed everything 😀

buffy summers x spike (spuffy): don't even get me started.

legitimately, do not get me started. these are a foundation of my soul, to be quite honest. like... i think almost my whole life? has been spent loving spike and buffy??

this dynamic is so wild and complex. buffy summers and spike, individually, are two of my favorite characters of all time. (actually all of these ships are top characters, for me, which probably shows why i've loved them for so long). i feel like spike and buffy is not a ship for the weak, like, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. there is a lot of rain. but the journey they go on from enemies, to reluctant allies, to friends, to enemies, to friends, to lovers, to enemies, to friends, to soulmates. it's a ride. it's a long ride.

and very few ships could go through this arc, especially the low points of their relationship, and come out on the other side still being evvvvvvvverything. and they are. everything.

klaus mikaelson and caroline forbes (klaroline): don't piss me off.

the vampire diaries (and the originals following right along behind it) piss me right off 😂😂😂😂

this is another perfect example of literal gold in the writers hands that was absolutely squandered. a girl who no one ever puts first and is desperate for a boy to see her and choose her -- to pick her first -- meets an over a thousand year vampire who sees her and instantly falls at her feet. gold. perfection. absolutely thrown to the side for (coughs) mediocre replacements. (i love stefan, but boy, get someone elSE!)

i'll never forget that forest scene. to both win and lose in one fell swoop 😩😩 insanity.

jess mariano and rory gilmore (literati): okay, now this? this c-sand origin story.

i could scream. i could cry. rory and jess are simultaneously the greatest thing in the world and the absolute worst. my greatest love and my greatest trauma 😭😭 they're another lifer ship, for me. but, they also suffer from one of my most hated writers paths: incredible build up and subsequent back burner.

watching the build up of their feelings for each other; from his introduction in season two, to early mid season three -- it's so well done. they're obsessed with each other!! i'm obsessed with them!!!! dean gets to suffer!!!! and then they finally get together (in an absolutely iconic episode) and the writers then regulate their entire relationship to primarily off screen interactions 🧍🏽‍♀️🧍🏽‍♀️ we are simply told they're really great together and spend all of their time together, being a good relationship. before it's decided that "actually, jess could probably lead a spin off show" and they tank the whole relationship by making him essentially stop talking to her. and they do it on screen.

when you tell us they're great for their whole relationship, but don't show us them actually dating, and then SHOW US it falling apart -- it gives the impression it was a terrible relationship the whole time and it waSN'T.

(and it's so sad, because it's her only relationship where they decide to not actually...show the....relationship, once they together. hate asp for that.)

frank castle and karen page (kastle): i swear to god, if these two don't ever get together, i'm gonna jump.

a new addition to my addictions. shout out to this beautiful walking perfection, that is demelza poldark and her husband ross, who i often want to punch in the face, but still love despite that. god, he pisses me off, but, he always brings me back in. the power of a dumbo man, i guess 😩 i barreled through this entire show in an embarrassingly short time.

if only this man could realize he has literally ZERO chemistry with a woman named elizabeth, the ship would have a lot smoother of a sail.

You're not alone! That chapter lowkey read like a date and like Yuuji really wanted to change his mind before the end and also get to know him more, learn more about him while baring parts of himself he never bared to anyone else (like sheesh... that's pretty deep). He was hoping for an equal exchange (I bare out my heart, you bare yours) but Sukuna wasn't giving anything (even him recognizing hydrangeas got brushed off as Megumi's memory... why is he so afraid of admitting he likes flowers smh)

It's really funny because with them every single thing works somehow? Like there's a solid basis for every interpertation regarding their relationship. Do you see them as enemies? Do you see them as reluctant friends? Do you see them as soulmates? Do you see them as two parts of a single soul? Do you see them as each other's curse? As each other's salvation? Platonically or romantically? Do you see them as lovers? Do you see them as reincarnated uncle and nephew? Do you see them as ??? aka "I don't even know"? All of those are correct interpretations because the ground work to cover all those explanations exists. That's why they're like crack cocaine to me. They are many things in a single package. Mirrors. Foils. Twins. Equals. Opposites.

Objectively— it's true that Yuuji chased Sukuna around, trapped him (frantically) in a domain so he could parade him around his hometown and get them to hang around (while Sukuna, unnaturally, obliged). It's true that Sukuna, no matter how much he claims he doesn't care, cares about him in a weird way. It's clear because he acts a lot more differently with Yuuji than he does with the rest (plus him being the only human for Sukuna who's different than the rest... you already know what canon said lol. I'll get carried away). It's undeniable that there's something very special between them. That's canon! So seeing chapter 265 as awfully romantic isn't a bad interpretation. Their relationship is just... undefined. They're weird and tied to each other, in a love-hate relationship <3

Now personally, I see them in many different aspects. I love them as a ship, platonically, romantically, as die hard enemies or whatever. Their dynamic is the highlight of jjk for me because nobody does it like them. Their chemistry is off the charts and they match each other even if they're so different from each other. Idk I'm insane.

Well, they are a bit iffy to ship to a lot of ppl because Yuuji's a minor (even tho he lived through hell and back at just fifteen and is more mature than actual adults in this manga) and because of reincarnated incest (uncle and nephew) which is invalid if you apply the logic of reincarnation– Yuuji doesn't have Sukuna's twin brother's soul, after all, (He's a completely different one. Biology doesn't equate soul sharing lol.) so it's not just about heteronomativity. After all, people have latched onto other m/m ships without problems but consider these two not shippable even if canon ties them together again and again and they embody good tropes and their relationship is 101 how you can write some damn good tragedies or redemption arcs (because their dynamic and them as characters just work so well together that it's insane).

As somebody who really doesn't care about all the problems this ship carries (because I see them as characters in a fictional world), all of that is irrelevant to me because I, like you, am rolling around in love and screaming into the void because Gege finally brought them together again. That was all that mattered to me! Now I'm excited for what's to come and am really curious how jjk will end.

They'll be the death of me as well. I'll miss them a lot once jjk ends :( Thank you for the ask!
