that one scene where merlin was going through arthur's drawers and when arthur woke up he panicked and said "i'm looking for woodworms" and arthur just gave him an unimpressed look through his sleepy eyes and asked with the softest voice, "...before breakfast?" the way he sounded so unguarded and so vulnerable in that moment. the way he trusts him with his life. do you even understand?? this is the guy that jumps out of his bed at the slightest noise and pulls out his sword. he woke up to find merlin basically in his face and he was unfazed. he felt so safe and so comfortable around him it's actually making me sob

“You sacrificed your powers so you could walk?” is such a line like Erik sir have you forgotten HOW and WHY this man couldn’t walk?

Sometimes I think about how violently powerful Merlin is. How completely useless he is at the softest forms of magic, mainly healing. He has so much raw strength teeming below his skin and he tries so hard to use it for softness. He grows strawberries and creates butterflies and manifests eggs to juggle, but what he's really good at is violence. His power sings when its unleashed on enemies. It is most comfortable creating forces of nature. It slows time instinctively. Softness is something Merlin must work to create and I just think that was either a brilliant choice or a television miracle.

They think their job is done, but as magic is revealed to be re-emerging, and not all of it in the right hands, they must build a new Camelot in this modern world to deal with the emerging threats.

Summary: A year after Washington, Erik wakes up in excruciating pain as sudden awareness washes over him: Charles is dead. Erik has to adjust to yet another future: no extinction, just a world without Charles. But the death of his former friend leaves Erik weak and his powers drained. His quest for answers leads him back to Westchester, where Erik has to face his past with Charles and put together the puzzle pieces of what happened to the man he once cared for.

Summary: When mutant-supporter and ally President Kennedy is assassinated and all pro-mutant progress is dismantled, Charles is no longer so confident that he's on the right side, and extends his hand to Erik after a year of animosity. They settle tentatively into their old partnership, but not everything is the same as it was--and not everything can be. When Hank develops a metal frame to move the lower half of Charles' body for him if he wants it, Erik offers the use of his mind and his ability in order to make it work. Both find out what they're willing to do for each other, and neither knows if it'll be enough to keep them together.

Summary: In one timeline, Erik was locked away in a plastic prison, Charles is a mess, and neither of them see each other for a decade. In this one, Charles Xavier, unable to sleep and out of serum, reaches out and touches Erik's mind in 1966, and everything changes. Charles can't leave an innocent man in jail, even (especially) if it's Erik.

And Erik won't let Charles destroy himself and his gifts, hiding away from a world that desperately needs him. This time Erik isn't going anywhere, no matter how many times Charles tells him to leave.

Summary: Erik arrives at Westchester one night with a stolen government file labeled Xavier, C. and a bullet lodged in his side.

Summary: The first thing that Erik notices is the way that the light catches the dust as it hangs in the air, thick and swirling and restrictive, coating all of the surfaces that he can see.

“Right then,” Charles says after a while. “I’ll go put the kettle on, shall I?”

Summary: After Magneto of an X2-ish future succeeds in the unthinkable, Charles sends his consciousness back to 1962 to guide Erik away from the path that will lead to the genocide of the human race forty years hence.

Charles knows that Erik has always loved him, and intends to use this knowledge + sex to seduce Erik away from his ideals in his youth.

There's no way this well-thought-out, sensible, debugged and 100% bulletproof plan can possibly go wrong.

By Any Means Necessary (Trial and Error Remix) – Unforgotten

Summary: After Charles' untimely death in the dark future, Magneto goes back instead of Logan—but no matter what he does to try to change the past, he can never seem to change himself. In the end, there's only one option left, and he's more than ruthless enough to take it.
