💖God loves Their LGBTQIA+ children.💖
when the world hurts any of God's children, God weeps.
God grieves our losses with us and rejoices in our victories with us.

One of the biggest eye-openers for me back when a I went to church was that like…
Oh man how do I explain it.
There’s this prevalent idea I see a lot in Christian circles that if you pray right, if you follow God correctly, if you’re a truly virtuous person, your problems will be solved, right?
If you suffer, if you fall ill, if bad things happen, it’s because you aren’t good enough. You don’t need medicine because if you’re worthy, if you’re faithful enough, God will reward you by healing you. Right?
But like. Discussing this with my mother, and travelling out east with our pastor… Jesus didn’t spend all his time with perfect, virtuous people. Jesus didn’t seek out and heal well-to-do, faithful, perfect Christians. In fact, there’s a specific story in which he straight up doesn’t travel out to heal a believer’s dying daughter, because she’s already “saved”. Her earthy death is okay because she’s going to heaven already.
And like… coming from our Pastor, who is one of the best guys I’ve ever met- there seems to be an ongoing, underlying message of, “Jesus doesn’t care about you if you’re a good Christian”. If you’re a good Christian, if you’re living a virtuous life on earth, then any suffering you experience is only temporary- your ETERNITY is secure. Jesus goes out of his way to meet with sinners and the unfaithful because those are the people whose souls are in danger.
So like. In that perspective, being good doesn’t make your life better, it’s just good for others and good for your soul. Praying and doing good probably won’t cure your cancer, but it may mean you don’t have to worry too much about your death.
And like. I dunno. I wouldn’t call myself a Christian, but I find myself thinking about that concept a lot
Does suffering mean you deserve a reward?
Is suffering proof that you’re unworthy?
Or is suffering just an unfortunate facet of life that doesn’t reflect on your worth, that you still have to deal with as best you can?
Maybe suffering is just suffering.
Maybe the bad things you experienced weren’t about you
And maybe you just gotta try your best and be kind anyways, so you can rest easy when you go

A little snippet from my story, St Benezet’s Basement, Tintin and Chang’s first case together since Chang came around to Belgium to study!
It’s their first night going undercover at St Benezet’s, a Catholic boy’s school that has had four students go missing. Chang experiences a bit of culture shock, and Tintin opens up a little about his upbringing.

From the article:
For Brother Xavier Boutiot, treasurer of a Benedictine abbeyin central France, pulling the abbey's investments from fossil fuels was an obvious step. Committed to the “Green Church” initiative for four years, the Olivetan monks aimed for consistency in all aspects of their community life. “Financial investments have an ecological impact that is 25 times greater than our daily actions!” emphasized the treasurer. To embark on this ecological and financial transition, the abbey had to scrutinize its investments, which was not straightforward. “The financial world is so opaque for basic investors like us, who don’t have access to all the information,” explained Boutiot. “We called our banks that were not on board with this direction, explained our reasoning, and applied some pressure by saying, ‘Either you support us in this approach, or we’ll switch banks.’” [...] The reasons to divest from fossil fuels are not only ethical but financial: the International Energy Agency predicts fossil fuel use will peak before 2030 and then decline. Religious institutions, managing $3 trillion globally, have divested from fossil fuel companies more than any other sector, aligning their investments with their values.

I ask myself which would be a greater stain upon my faith— creating life from sin, or hating any face which looks at me with my own eyes.
Battisto & Magnolia doing awesome normal father-daughter activities (lecturing this completely unknown child for getting lost in his church). I tried to play around with my digital painting style & normal furry stuff in this one, and I'm quite happy with the result.
More info about my OCs is always available on my Toyhouse!

Burdens of being a Lokean
Vent post ignore me bleh
And a reach out to fellow Norse Pagans for advice
Tumblr media
Ugh. It’s hard to practice being Pagan sometimes. Especially of the Norse variety. And most definitely especially as Lokean. Any means to get materials to practice is full of marvel content. So saturated it makes it near impossible to find what I need
Don’t get me started on how unserious people like us who practice things like Norse Paganism are treated. People treat those who practice Greek paganism more serious than us. Don’t lie, you’ve seen it
And the people who only consume marvel Norse content that try and correct you on your own religion
I just wanted to practice my beliefs in peace. I want to be able to get materials from reliable sources that have their best interest in me. Not AI money grabs. Not people selling “love spells” or just bullshit people who want easy money by taking advantage of people’s beliefs
Is there any advice on how to get reliable sellers and resources for my craft? I want to practice my belief but there’s just so little I can do. I’m a Hoosier and well. Indiana is famous for the KKK after all
Any reliable sellers? People? Just. People who take being a Lokean serious? And don’t call us devil worshippers? And just insult Mother Loki every chance they get?
I’ll never forget that time I was at a cosplay convention and the topic of religion brought up and I was told to “never trust Loki. Protect yourself. He is a liar and promises you pain and suffering-“ and just went on a rant about how wrong I was
I chose Loki because he chose me dammit!
Everyone follows their own path in life. From you believing in a god to people who don’t at all. You are deserving to practice what you feel. It’s YOUR laugh. YOUR path. Everyone has a path
Just please. Help? I want to make a proper alter and practice my beliefs
I get chaos comes with the job, but sir the winds turn eventually 😭
Sincerely yours, a baby witch that’s suffering

i know i'm supposed to pray for my enemies. therefore, for those who are using their authority to oppress innocent people, i pray that...
a) they'll repent, give up their riches to help those in need, and step down from their positions of power, or...
b) they'll be brought to justice so that they can no longer do harm.

internal god — a catchall term for alters who are Gods internally, their being revolves around Godhood, or they are treated/revered as a God internally. They could be Intragods, Spiritives, or Intraspiric- but they don't necessarily need to be.
Their Godhood could be chosen/self-identified, or they were made/split to be Godlike for whatever reason. They could have a following internally, or simply be an identity.

Note
aro culture is growing up thinking you're just extremely religious growing up (even when you don't really feel tied to said religion) because you never have "impure" feelings for someone.

Idyllic Island: Playhouse
Chapter 1 Part 1
been feeling REALLY art blocked lately, and as much as i hate to admit it, the state of things has really been getting to me. i decided i'd rather be productive than stressed out and doomscrolling all the time, but because of the stress it's been hard to find the drive to draw. i know i have another comic i could be working on with d explosion, but the pressure to be funny feels stifling right now. so! i've decided to return to something familiar, and not hold myself to a super high standard for it.
i'm not entirely sure where i'm going with this, but it has been satisfying to make so far.
