I just finished a kind of session I haven't done in a long while: a one-on-one session where I just focused on making someone feel very relaxed. This adorable little kitten came up to me saying that he slept really well during the public session I did (and listened to the recording frequently afterwards to help him sleep) and after a bit of talking, requested a session where I treated him like a cat on my lap. I did so, and he was fine with me finding hypnosis sexual, though he didn't want to take the session in a sexual direction.

I had him imagine he was lying on my lap, breathing in my lavender scent and becoming more relaxed from it. (He was very keen on the lavender, which I love, and even had lavender essential oils to help.) I would then proceed to stroke his head and back, scritching behind his ears and head and throughout his body, breathing my lavender mist into his face (several times). I then picked him up on laid him on my chest, grooming his fur with my tongue like a momma cat would, pointing out how he felt my purring beneath him and how it acted like a full body massage to his whole body. He had to go to a couple of doctors' appointments earlier today, so I mentioned how it was a long day for him and that it was okay for him to let go. I tied the smell of lavender to the moment, letting him go back to it in his head whenever he smelled lavender (provided it was safe to do so) and let him go to a kitty state of mind with no words. I'm surprised he didn't fall asleep, honestly. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience :3

Surprisingly, despite mentioning to him that I would likely find the session hot regardless of what we did, I didn't really get aroused during the session. I suppose, because this kitten didn't want the praise to come across as flirting, I was cautious as to introduce anything that would create any kind of power dynamic, because that's not what this kitten was here for. And so without that, hypnosis on its own as a relaxation tool isn't really hot to me. I've always suspected that but this was kind of a confirmation to me. Good to know!

I'm also surprised at how easily I did the session, as it was over a voice call and I had barely talked with this critter beforehand. I suppose knowing it worked really well with this kitten when it was a public session so it'd be even better with a private session helped, but normally I don't worry about that too much. Generally, I ask for the first session or two to be over text, even if it's someone I've been in calls a lot with, I've found, but I was okay with doing a voice session this time (since I kinda already did one already with the public session). I'm a lot more confident over text and it's easier to compose my words so there's less "pressure" for me in a text session (also because auditory issues + people/critters being quiet while hypnotized does not mix that well). But! I did a voice session as my first session with this kitten and I'm very happy with myself ^w^

having a lot of thoughts and feelings as always about how virion sees himself as the one who has to be strong, who has to be the one to protect the other two . dakota may have had his powers for longer, but virion has more field experience. he's been trained how to fight his whole life. his family prepared him for this since the day he could stand on his own two feet. it's so deeply ingrained into him, he knows the ins and outs of cape politics, and while he may be an outsider in new haven he had plenty of experience in fauna and how much different can the two cities really be? I feel like he's faaaar less trustful of the heroes, can kind of see through their bullshit when it happens, but he doesn't make a move because now he has a team, now he has people he loves again, and he would do anything to keep them safe even if that means putting up with bureaucratic nonsense. he's got that vigilante blood in him!!! idk how long he was on his own but even if it was as short as a few months that's still PLENTY of time to pick up terrible habits in the name of keeping on his toes, keeping himself safe. gotta keep moving constantly. can't sleep for more than a few hours at a time, and the sleep he does get is VERY light. only ever wearing dark clothes and covering his face even out of costume. constantly keeping at least one concealed weapon on him. being SO hyperaware of any sound or sudden movement in the general vicinity. when hes with the other two he always places himself in the middle between them so he can easily grab both of them if he needs to. maybe walking a half step behind them to watch their backs. always situates himself with clear view of any doors/windows whenever theyre in an enclosed space. etc etc you see my vision!!!!!

im just thinking abt like... the first time william and dakota see him Without All That Tension. he probably looks like a totally different person! the whole time they've known him he's been this stoic quiet intimidating presence, he always stays awake longer than either of them so they've never seen him sleep. after one too many all-nighter volunteer patrols he passes on pizza for dinner and gets home before either of them. when they walk in later (leftover pizza for him ofc) and see him passed out fast asleep on the couch it almost takes them a second to recognize him . who is this.. soft faced *boy* curled up in a loose ball facing the door in their living room!! what if this is where williams crush really kicks in and becomes Real- he desperately wants to be able to make virion comfortable enough around him to make him look like that again. william is just frozen in the doorway staring at him, studying him, trying to commit the whole scene to memory, so dakota is the one who steps forward to put a blanket over him. virion wakes up IMMEDIATELY at this and the moment is kind of broken and he thanks them for the pizza and everything's back to normal but now they KNOW. do you SEE my vision here.

ohh having so many emotions about him.... yeah..... yeah..... the cape world is all he's ever known! of course he's more experienced, cynical, knows the procedures and conventions and lies better than they do. he's maybe the only one of them who's killed before. i think it fucks him UP to realize he loves william & dakota. how can he trust them? he does, he can't choose not to, but i think he's very scared for a very long time that they're going to betray him like his father betrayed his friends. "they sound like they really mean it" yeah well. so did his dad!! honestly i think it's a kind of let it happen situation. he thinks about it for a while and goes well. it's not like i have anything else. this, right now, is nice, so if i end up dead in my sleep about it? whatever. i like them. they're allowed. he's constantly waiting in the back of his mind for the cold gun to the back of his head while theyre hugging or a knife to his throat on the couch during a movie or for them to detour into a dark alley while they're walking somewhere. and it takes a very long time for him to lose this mindset. it would fuck the other two UP if they knew but he's very good at hiding it, both the fear & the decision to just let them do it, if they want to. virion sol willing vulnerability looks like anyone else's efficient dangerous capability and hypervigilance. (i think they Should find out that their best friend is always waiting for them to kill him. that would be a lot.)

anyway. distracted!! in my mind he was a rogue for at least, like, around a year. so much time for bad habits to sink in! the thing ive been thinking about is like, he never really had to be subtle? he's so good at disappearing into nowhere & being a sneaky ass creep on the job, he's alright at lying and social engineering if there was a situation where it was necessary, but he never like... had a civilian life! to him it was fine if he was mostly perceived as a thug or a contractor or just as suspicious as "deftly moving masked figure in black checking all the entrances to the coffee shop as he sits down or buying zip ties and gorilla tape and kerosene at lowes" implies. so like i think their manager or boss or handler has to go "hey dude you need to like. Not be walking exactly a step behind your friends checking your surroundings wherever u go. please stop moving like you're getting ready for a fight. it directs so much attention to u u are in high school ur supposed to be a kid ur setting off so many red flags!"& he doesn't really get it. and it's a thing.

ill over everything ur saying here btw!!!! actually fucked up over them seeing him without all those walls and facades & constant tension!! oh christ!! he's so intimidating even when he's not trying and knows so much and is so good at what they do-- he's. actually their age? he's really just some teenager like them? the crackling anxiety and hypervigilance aren't, just, like, part of him? all the tense lines and angles of him soften into just-- something normal and loose and comfortable?? that fic when???

I really, really hate the fact that people are using minorities within the U.S. to try and guilt people into voting for Biden. I hate that when you criticize him or just state you won’t vote for him people always want to come back with “oh so you hate minorities? You hate transgender people? You think kids belong in cages?????”. Don’t you fucking dare use the suffering of actual people to try and garner support for that man, you don’t get to just ignore that immigrants are still being detained at the border, that he decided to continue with the fucking wall, that immigrants, even U.S. born Latinos are still being treated as fucking criminals. The trip might have been hard on my body, but I am lucky enough that I've got ample time to recover.

My wonderful husband has me fully stocked with bagged salad and precooked chicken so I don't have to cook for myself. The mini-fridge is stocked with drinks.

the best part of writing is that you can give characters any silly little names that you want. normally i am all about realistic names that real parents would give their children but this is MY fucked up little quasi-victorian era and i get to name them fun little names. when this little guy turns themself into a half-demon as a means of transing their gender the name is not going to be the part that matters

the difference between sidri in private versus sidri as inquisitor can't be underestimated. the inquisitor just isn't her, not really. it's her ideas, yes, and above all her own will, but she just fashions an identity for herself by picking and choosing what she needs in order to make the inquisition into something of genuine standing and actual power.

its vivienne's presence eased by josephine's charm, it's leliana's steel bolstered by cassandra's determination. it's bits and pieces she takes and tailors to fit herself, to fit the role of inquisitor, and some of it fits better than others but she decides to wear it all the same.

Yesterday, I did a session with someone where I almost entirely focused on relaxing her. I started off with making her chant "comfy, cozy" in the intonation I always do, repeating it back and forth with her till she started chanting, sending her deeper and making her feel more relaxed as she chanted. She eventually started mumbling and humming it, and went quiet as I kept telling her how wonderful she felt, making all of her surroundings fade away, how much I loved and cared about her and how safe she was. I made her feel so heavy she couldn't move, but that was okay because there was nothing she needed to do and she could just enjoy it all. It kept on going like that for a while. Sometimes she'd wake back up a bit to start chanting before going back to a very deep state. She was repeating basically everything I was saying and would sometimes chant other things as a result, and I would have her chant "comfy, cozy" Eventually, she went quiet and not knowing what else to say, I did too, and... it was a very nice moment. I almost nodded off a couple of times, and I imagine she did too. Normally, I wouldn't but something about this session just made me kinda sleepy.

I was cuddling her via the entire time via phantom touch, spooning her as the big spoon. I'd squeeze her, kiss her cheek and her neck, nuzzle her, give her soft chin scritches. Sometimes she would kiss or nuzzle back, both because she wanted to respond back but also she was so used to repeated everything I was saying, hehe. Sometimes I'd tell her I loved her but she was so heavy and deep she couldn't really talk, so I'd just hear her hum "Love you too" in response. Freaking adorable~

I also did a cute thing where I would say "[Subject] is cute. [Subject] is a good girl," and so on, and she would repeat after me, saying her own name like she was talking about someone else. Was cute and hot~

I had done relaxation sessions like this with her before but I really wanted to make it last, so I was aiming for an hour. She got interrupted by family 50 minutes in but when she came back, I put her back under for about another 30 minutes before she got interrupted by family again. She was shocked at how long it was both times she woke up.

There were a couple of hot things we did too. At one point, she asked if I could do a favor for her, and asked me if I could command her (and when I struggled to think of something - I was only intending on relaxing her - she said I could say no, which was SUPER cute). So I had her kneel and chant that she was a good pet, but her body was still really heavy and would only get heavier as she chanted, till she ended up planting her face on her bed because her body was too heavy to keep upright. That was hot. Also just her chanting is always hot. And she and I always find hypnosis hot. But for the most part, it was an incredibly cozy trance and she enjoyed it very very much, which I'm glad because she really needed it.
