Market Stall - throughout the seasons Hi all! We've been working hard on a lot of things since our last post, including a UI overhaul, programming potion-making, quests, the market stalls where we'll sell our potions, charms and more (as well as shopping), NPCs: dialogues, quests, movements, artwork, and lots more. Thank you so much for following Hollowmoor's progress so far, if you're enjoying watching Hollowmoor grow, please feel free to spread the word. Your support makes a big difference! We wish you a Happy Halloween! 🎃

Videogames I wish were real #55
A game a bit like Untitled Goose Game where you play as the creature that always steals socks and moves stuff around the house. You crave chaos, befuddlement is your nourishment, and you thrive on remaining mysterious and unseen. Pulling off riskier heists will yield higher rewards, but will also mean higher chances of being spotted or raising suspicions. If the humans in your house start to suspect something is going on, they will be more observant, less predictable and might even devise some traps.
Similar games that actually exist: Haunt The House (suggested by @cherry-bomble)

Soo most of you probably don't know this, but I also play video games :>
Anyway, I finished Purrgatory recently (go play it now) and I decided to mess around on picrew with what I think all the characters looked like in their human lives.
(Order- Elijah, Natalie, Sean, Oliver, Tori, Kyungsoon, Numa)

AHH I LOVE THEM SM
Also, here are some free indie video games I recommend checking out (aside from purrgatory ofc)
If I remember, I'll update this when I play new video games
Project Cat Lily - horror, the occult, multiple endings
Missed messages (avoid this one if you're sensitive to serious mental health issues) - visual novel, queer, multiple ending, really sad
Memories- queer, sad, visual novel, romance, fashion
A taste of the past- pretty sad but has a good ending, grief, culture, family, surreal
Marie's room - point and click adventure, visual novel, poverty and social issues, friendship
Pandemic love (haven't finished this one yet)- romance, psychological horror, mental health, visual novel
A raven's monologue- surreal, incredibly short, visual novel, abstract, I didn't understand it but it was weirdly beautiful
Left on read- text story, multiple endings, romance, quarantine
Cat mushroom - idk man it's just cute
Grimm's hollow- adventure/action, fantasy, Grimm reapers
Hellscapes - harem, demon girls, puzzles
One night, hot springs - visual novel, queer, friendship, multiple endings
Your call- queer, abusive relationship, multiple endings
Resonance of the ocean- island/sea, music, communication, point and click, melancholy
There's this girl- queet, romance, visual novel, breaking up and moving on
A date with death - otome, so cute, multiple endings, kinda enemies to lovers

Frogwares’ Sherlock Holmes Casual Games
The Mystery of the Persian Carpet was Frogwares first attempt at getting into the casual adventure and hidden object game market, even getting Big Fish Games as a publisher. For those unaware, Big Fish Games are the undisputed kings of the market, even to this day, and were major players in the huge casual game explosion on PC and mobile. Frogwares getting in on the scene makes sense, and they’d make two games under Big Fish Games’ banner. The first of them is…quite bad.

After some minor fix-ups, my team game design final is now playable on itch! It's a casual game featuring cute cats visiting your cat cafe! You can play it in browser, but we also have a build for most platforms. I learned a lot about making games in a team instead of just myself, and learning the ins and outs of Unity to boot! Was definitely fun to make, even if we weren't able to get everything we wanted to due juggling our school workloads while making it.

Videogames I wish were real #66
Remember that first day of class in freshman year of high school/ university where you had to keep checking your class schedule and a map because you had no idea where anything was? This party game is exactly about that. It's your first day in a new school, and you and your friends will compete to see who finds their class first. Each of you will get a broad location of their class, and that's it. All school maps will be randomly generated, and the architecture might not always make the most of sense: you might find that the door to your class is on the ceiling of a hallway and therefore need to quickly improvise a ladder from things lying around, find your way through mazelike stairs and think outside the box to win the very important achievement of not being late to your first day of class.
