I just got around to playing some game jam releases from awhile back, and holy crap there are a lot of talented individuals in the indie space.

✨April Devlog ✨

Howdy, We missed the March devlog, but that's because we (my fiance and I who are now the core team of this studio) went on a small vacation, and then we came back and knocked out a TON of Boba Monsters tasks. This month's update is exciting because of how much cool stuff we achieved, but unfortunately we won't be able to share tangible progress just yet--so for now they are locked in the vault. What we will tell you is that we got a theme song composed for the main Boba Monsters theme. And it sounds AMAZING. Our composer has done a phenomenal job and we can't wait to share it with you.

We've also had them work on a gameplay soundtrack, and ambient track for the boba creating. It's cozy & a little spooky. It's a vibe. Here's a breakdown of everything we've accomplished this last month or so:

I can't believe it is February already, where has the time gone? We've been cooking up a lot of cool stuff this last month.

This month has been dedicated to a lot of business stuff and general LLC formation, which we decided was an important step to fulfill some of our plans for Boba Monsters, such as a mobile release. Another notable mention is that we are gearing up to seek outside funding for Boba Monsters. While I have plans to finish Boba Monsters regardless of our status of funding, having the support of an outside investor would greatly increase our potential to finish the game sooner and guarantee that we can reach our milestones--and possibly even bigger ones.

In the last update, we mentioned having some news we wanted to share with you all soon. You can expect to hear more about that in the coming weeks!

The batphone is what you'll use to select your toppings, read through recipes, and more! What's even cuter is that the batphone is a living, breathing creature with a mind of its own. The Batphone is currently a work-in-progress as the apps and functionality are still being designed.

No devlog would be complete without a peek at what's to come for Saintess of the Golden Bow! Today, we’re introducing Garreth, a new character in the upcoming Extended Demo:

Happy New Year from the Boba Monsters Team!

Hello Everybody! I hope you all enjoyed the Holiday this season and have had plenty of relaxation and recovery from your busy lives. Let's dive in and talk about what we've achieved with Boba Monsters, shall we? First, on top of juggling my full-time work, I took a Holiday break myself. But there's still been a lot of cool stuff we worked on for Boba Monsters over the last few months.

Things we've been brewing:

Upgrading the squirt bottles (Squeezed version + some of the basic bottles have new icons)

New topping designs (worms, jellies, sharks, pumpkins, and more!)

The cauldron station design

Began programming the boba topping station gameplay

Began programming the syrup bottle station

Some UI designs completed

Design Progress on the Batphone

I'll reveal some of the new art and progress at a later time, but here is a peek at the cauldron station. This is the station where you will make your different flavors of tea, much like you would make a potion!

Goals for this year:
