(Warhammer Fantasy Battle AU) Warhammer Whackheller AU Pt.1 (Old World Humans)-Modernized with altered Grittiness
In Warhammer Whackheller AU(or WH Whack, if you prefer it short), Archaon the Everchosen’s End Time attempt went utterly failed. Mallus (A.K.A. World-That-Was) stayed, as its civilizations, even ultraconservative Lizardmen, primitive Greenskins, and Norscans had developed in technologies and ideologies. However, situations remain gritty and grimdark. Yet it has some extra flavors of modern lifestyles, diplomacy(that lead to conflicts, or even wars), and CAPITALISM!. Even in the realm of Chaos, it has turned like Hell from Vivziepop (Like, in Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss).
Humankind
Empire of Men: Among the religious conflicts between Sigmarite and Ulrican, there was an Empress (thanks to her dad having no son) who came up with a compromise; Sigmar is Ulric’s reincarnation, and both teachings are acceptable. Plus, she made the reformation of the new faith, calling it ‘Reikite Temple’.
The College of magic and Engineer Guild, meanwhile, had competitions for who would lead the Empire's future. The Empress and a few monarchs after her just threw money on both to accelerate the advances. The Recent Emperor; Salmeul, decided to dissolve both and form several Imperial centric versions of them instead.
Bretonnia: Due to Peasants’ uprisings, with a random clergy ‘went Martin Luther’; he made another sect of Lady of The Lake where everyone equally received blessings from their version of ‘the lady’. Situations ended up with the first ruling Queen’s compromising, allowing females to be knighted, and less seats for the noble families’ knights for “granted peasant knights”. Ideology of “Lady of Ocean” is the new popularity for its larger water body for all lives. Plus, allowing progressive and favoring exploration of sciences and expedition. However, it is still slow and behind most of the other humans’ nations. However, it is the only country with large numbers of knights with firearms and armors.(Maybe everybody else has better units?)
Marienburg/Westerland: The conservative Knights of Bretonnia, Dissolved Figures from Empire, and even some other humans who prefer the old ideologies went there. However, it eventually became a kind of semi-autonomous state where the Empire, Bretonnia, and Kislev use it for being their docks, factories, and warehouses. It is an even juicier target for Norscan, yet, the investors also put some forces prepared to protect their goods.
Kislev: Kislev remains hardened, yet, they allow more freedoms and liberty, as long as they have more soldiers for their defense against different foes(Ogres, Vampires, Skaven, and Chaos). Some of them are feminism, transgenderism, same-sex marriages, adopting orphans encouragement, and acceptance of more immigrants with standard. That causes the social dividation into three sides; Conservative, Hardened Socialist, and Armed Liberals.
Conservatives stirred conflicts between the latter two, so they can stay without them overthrowing their older power.
Tilea: After Emperor Salmeul of Empire dissolved the Engineer Guild and College of Magic, large numbers of its engineers and magicians migrated to the Southern realms(Tilea, Estalia and Border Prince Confederacy). Tilea itself was focused on expanding their colonies rather than its own mainland. Such a decision caused Tilean’s governments to be more controlled by the Empire migrated scholars who were against the new Emperor. The merchant princes and mercenaries were mostly forced to pick their sides; Pro-Old Power, Pro-Empire Descents, or even join the rising Empire.
The war ended with the victory of Pro-Empire “Usurper”, forming a federation of Tilea. It was considered by remnants of Tilean powers, who fled to different colonies as “The False Rulers”. The scattering or Tilean powers led to the formation of the “Tilean Commonwealth”, with its Headquarter around the Northwest Southland.
Estalia: Being invaded by Skavens, Sartosan Pirates, and Greenskins, Estalia had suffered both politically and economically. Most kingdoms had fallen, or accepted to join Tilea or Bretonnia’s causes. One of the remnant kingdoms, Nerja, miraculously defended its kingdom from combined forces of Skavens and Norscans. Its king claimed to accept the new church based on the Four Gods; Solkan, Allumnias, Astasis, and Daora. The King believed these four deities could counter the power of chaos, and being its holy version.
However, the temple itself was made centuries ago as a smaller sect which some might consider heretical. Somehow, with the victory mentioned, as few more afters, the belief spread among southern realms. Eventually, Nerja reclaimed most of its lost regions, forming a loose form of federated kingdoms under Nerja as its main seat.(Like England in the UK).
Border Prince Confederacy: Due to political shifts, Border Prince Confederacy had mostly divided into subjugation of its borders. Some even joined dwarves to be smaller parts of their nations. The remaining power moved downward to Badland, where they fought with the local Greenskins and smaller weaker Dwarven Holds. Seeing the benefits of the situations, the High Elves aided them with magic and political favors. Some of the High Elves even embrace its technology somehow, and become part of the new Border Prince Confederacy after being banished by Ulthuan. They are still unstable, and somehow unrecognized. Yet, they are a real domain to be respected.
Part 2: Because words limits.

Let's play everyone's favorite game: "Is it literal nazi symbols or is it something from Warhammer?" The answer is of course that it is both.
#boy you do just have iron crosses and black eagles on everything in your game huh?#REIKLAND???#And it's all german names??#I get it's meant to be germany and I get that the eagle is germany's coat of arms#and I know the eagle is called Reichsadler#and it's not something created by the nazis#but this#this isn't good and I think you know that warhammer

Vehicles!
The Partisan! There's just something so appealing about a tank specifically built to maximize pouring lead downrange. Aircraft beware!
The Condor! I admit I wasn't even familiar with this one until I received it as a gift, but a speedy (8/12!) hovertank with an AC/5 and 2xMLs is... hard to argue with.
These two guys were my first foray into using a recently-popular wash mixture called "Marine Juice." It's Lahmian Medium, Reikland Fleshshade, and AP Dark Tone in 4:3:3 mixture, respectively. Lemme tell ya... it's the sauce.
Also, Team Yankee decals go really well on tanks. Who knew?

Continued on with some oil washes. I’ve only just started experimenting with them. After some false starts and failures, I think less is more with oils. When they are quite diluted they give a great, subtle effect.
Got some mini painting in too, today. Finished off the white undershirt.
He’s going to be a Youngblood in my Reiklander warband.
I decided to make my Youngbloods a banner bearer and musician. This won’t have any effect in-game, but will make them stand out on the table.
Plus, they’ll fit in nicely should I want to expand my force for something like Saga: Age of Magic.

Just finished up painting the skin on the upper body today.
Started off with a coating of Sigvald burgundy followed by layering it with a mixture of wazdaka red and pink horror. after that, I then shaded the 3 quarters of the body with carroburg crimson (leaving the Eye hand to be shaded with druichi violet). i then finished it off with a few highlights around the muscular area's using Wazdaka red, Pink horror and then Emperors children.
after the skin was done, I decided to work on the horn and finger nail areas. I started off by basing each of the areas with wraithbone, then coating it with a skeleton horde contrast paint. wanting the horns to be slightly darker, i then shaded over it with a bit of reikland flesh shade just below the upper tips of the horn (of which i had already coated with black legion).
and yeah that's about it. I don't know where im going to start on next but hopefully by next post you'll find out.
hope you all enjoyed this. :)

Painted some barrels!
Some said painting yellow is hard but for whatever reason the grey ones gave me much more trouble to look good. Primed them in Wraithbone then i used 2 coats of Averland Sunset and a extra tinned coat of Reikland Fleshshade and the yellow looked fine! The grey too 4 coats of Eshin Grey before i said you're gonna be Skavenblight Dinge instead and that did cover properly. Paints are weird mkay :)
Also an oil wash to grime them up like the containers had
the radioactive leakage is done with Moot Green with any white paint and then a layer or 2 of Vallejo green fluorescent paint.
#miniature painting#warhammer 40k#Idk what tags to even use lmao#Them be barrels yknow :)#Munitorum Armoured Containers#And armored barrels too I guess!#Leaky armored barrels#Wargaming terrain#Now that's a proper tag to use!#Have a nice day to whoever is still reading this rambling <3#And the rest who didn't read this too I guess *rolling eyes emoji*

Final Gutrippa Prototype
With this plan in hand ... I can finish the squad!
=> under painting
assemble the model, including patches of stirland mud on the base before you secure the feet (so they line up nice)
prime with a grey
gently up that shield so it’s pretty bright
underbrush by drybrushing with pale sand
apply a thinish layer of Heavy Goldbrown to the skin
=> base layers
apply Colour Xpress Plasma Red to the shield
apply thinned Colour Xpress Troll Green to the skin (with the later models, I feel like this works best when thinned with water. The paint recedes better allowing yellow to show through and the whole thing to look more steady)
cover the leather with thinned Mournfang Brown
layer/water-glaze the straps with Heavy Khaki
paint any lips with thin Dark Blue (a purple Game Colour paint)
colour the woods with Baneblade Brown
colour bones and tusks with Bonewhite
colour stones with Sombre Grey
shade the shield’s mouth with very thinned black paint that runs into the cracks for you
=> metallics
colour the steels (or all metals) with Metal Colour Gunmetal
pick out any metallic details Metal Colour Copper
=> shades
wash the metallics and stones with Nuln oil
wash the bones with Reikland Fleshade
wash the wood, leather, and cords with Agrax Earthshade
tidy up anything that needs it with shades to hide mistakes
=> base
apply (more) stirland mud to any easily reachable places
use dryad bark to cover up the gaps between stirland mud and primed stirland mud or whatever
drybrush Nibblet Green over the stirland mud's lumps to give a mossy effect
paint the rim in solid black to make the edge crisp
... and we're done!
Now ... I've got six gits to get started ...

Lord have mercy, WFRP 4th got me eating good tonight.
So, I'm gonna be in a campaign of this game soon and I don't know what the others are looking to play yet, so I made a statement of what characters I may play and change as others make their decisions.
We have been limited to one Ogre character by the GM, so there's that too.
If someone else wants to play an Ogre, I will play a Wizard.
If nobody else wants to play an Ogre, I will play an Ogre Maneater
If someone else wants to be a frontline fighter, I will instead play an Ogre Rhinox Herder.
At this stage I have made both the Maneater and the Herder, and they both possess two elements that are just stupid and hilarious.
Gave the Maneater the Large Talent, so he will crush a bitch that tries him, but that's not the best one.
The Herder can stealth.
And not just regular stealth, but a horrifying type of stealth.
While in rural areas (like... most of the Reiklands), you cannot use passive perception against his stealth. You have to actively be looking for him.
The concept of an 8'5" Ogre that will sneak up on you if you aren't vigilant enough, is deadset the best thing around.

Tip for Warhammer Fantasy:
If the Empire soldiers have an equal amount of red and white on their uniform, they're from Talabheim.
If there's more white than red on their uniform, they're from Reikland.

I always have trouble with gold but after a drybrush these will be looking good! Started with two thin coats (tm) of gehenna’s gold all over. For the stormcast i tried a layer of auric, and the others i used greedy, followed by a wash of reikland. Theyre all gonna turn out pretty similar so next i’ll drybrush greedy, then pick highlights with auric and some silver, that should lighten everything back up.
