Prompt 1 - School
@jegulus-microfic December 1, Word count 216
Sneaking around was what the marauders did best. James had been sneaking around Hogwarts ever since his first day at the school. It had fascinated him. All the corridors and secrets the castle held. He’d found the same wonder in his dorm mates, and together, they had mapped out Hogwarts in a way no others had. At this point, they probably knew more about the ancient castle than Dumbledore did. They were the ruling Kings of Hogwarts Castle, and they acted as such.
James sauntered down the third-floor corridor, ticking off all the secret passageways along the way. Grinning to himself, knowing that he was the only one in the vicinity who knew where they all were. The grin fell from his face when he heard the familiar sound of stone grating on stone and watched as a familiar head of dark curls carefully peeked out of the secret entrance that led to Honeydukes’s cellar.
James had hidden himself in the shadows and watched with his mouth hanging open as Regulus Black hauled himself and a heavy-looking bag out of the secret passage and straightened his robes. James was going to have so much fun with this.
“Hey, Regulus!” He called down the silent corridor and trotted towards Regulus where he stood frozen to the spot.

look - jegulus - @into-the-jeggyverse - word count: 375
It was eleven at night and James decided he deserved another drink as a reward. He’d been doing wonderfully all evening, in his opinion, and he wanted to celebrate his absolutely superior poker face and practically professional acting skills.
So, he headed over to the corner where the alcohol was being kept, a little smirk on his face, only to feel cool fingers curl around his tie and pull him into the shadows by the window.
“Ooof–what?” he gasped, tripping a bit.
But it was quickly obvious who had tugged him away. “Potter, you need to get yourself together, Regulus snarled at him from his hiding spot.
Instantly, James felt himself light up. “What d’you mean?” he asked, beaming. Just seeing Regulus there, so close to him, gave him butterflies.
“You keep looking at me like you want to…I don’t know…kiss me senseless or something,” Regulus hissed, grimacing. “It’s not very subtle.”
Jame frowned. So much for being sneaky. “But…I do want to kiss you,” he whined quietly, because it was true.
Something like amusement flickered in Regulus’s gorgeous eyes, but the younger boy didn’t break. “You also wanted to keep this a secret until after Sirius’s birthday, so here we are,” he retorted.
James shifted from foot to foot. “What about just a little peck?” he wheedled. “Just to hold me over. I bet I can do better if I have something to think about!”
Regulus tilted his head to the side like he was thinking, then let out a sigh before moving closer.
Thrilled, James leaned down so there was only a centimeter of space between them. Instantly, his head spun with the proximity, his entire focus just being Regulus. He closed his eyes, savoring the tenseness of the air, the feel of their breaths intermingling.  But when he moved a bit forward again, anticipation building, he almost fell clean on his face, and he opened his eyes to see a chuckling Regulus standing back with his arms crossed.
“Get yourself together,” Regulus said again, a smirk on his face. “If you can be good and actually act, maybe I’ll show up in two hours at the Astronomy Tower. Maybe.”
All James could do was nod and watch, open-mouthed, as Regulus walked away.

April 20, 1978
“That’s precisely what I was thinking Moony!”
“Are you sure Padfoot? I got the understanding that it was you and Prongs who shared thoughts.”
“I second that.”
“Honestly I believe if James didn’t have Lily, you blokes would be together.”
“Definitely.”
“Well, Sirius also has y/n as well.”
You felt the boy beside you brush your shoulder with his, and you gave him a smile. “Oh, yes.”
The conversation continued, but you zoned out once again. You played with the vegetables on your plate and tapped your foot. Anxiety was a common thing you felt during meals with your boyfriend and his friend group. They were wonderful, but you always felt they had something secretly against you.
You were a year younger than your boyfriend, you were in Slytherin, you were pureblood, and you were cordial with the other members of your house. You weren’t stupid enough to believe the Marauders didn’t suspect something bad of you, or the Gryffindor girls. Some of them were muggle born and while you didn’t care much for blood purity, you could tell they thought you did.
When you and Sirius had begun dating a few months earlier, you were far from oblivious to the initial disapproval of his friends. You could see the skeptical looks Lily would share with her friends; you could hear the small whispers in classes. It didn’t bother you at first, in fact, you understood their distrust. You thought it would go away with time. But by the end of your second month dating their friend, you realized it was never going to change.
Your relationship with Sirius in short was far from perfect. You liked him, of course, and he liked you. However, it was clear neither of you saw it lasting forever. Deep in the corners of your mind, you’d thought it that before, a life with the infamous Sirius Black. You imagined the two of you would get your own flat after you graduated, you’d be shunned of course by your family, but it wouldn’t matter because you’d have him. Realistically though, you knew that life would never be possible. If he didn’t care enough to tell you why he sneaks off on full moons, if he didn’t care enough to let you in on jokes, if he didn’t care enough to even assure his friends fully that you weren’t like the rest of your house, you’d never have a life with him.
Without thinking about it, your eyes drifted across the great hall to a certain person in your house. He sat straight with a smile on his face as he conversed with his mates. A piece of his hair was in his eye, you watched as he brushed it away. You always wondered why people said he wasn’t as good-looking as his brother. He was just as handsome in your opinion. He was tall, his eyes were starry, and his black curls were never frizzy. His accomplishments spoke for themself. Top of the year, star seeker for Slytherin, prefect, he was the ideal boy. His only flaw in your eyes was his obsession with Voldemort and blood purity. Though your family and his were close in that aspect, you never cared much for the topic. He did though.
Suddenly, his eyes met yours. You watched his smile falter for a few seconds and a different expression formed. You looked away quickly, your cheeks turned pink. That wasn’t the first time you’d been caught staring at Regulus Black during dinner. It was far from it.
~~~
That night you sat alone by the fire in your common room. You’d been invited up to Sirius’s dorm with a promise that the other Marauders wouldn’t be there, but you declined. Sirius was a great shag; it would be impossible for him not to be with how many girls he’d been with. Truthfully, you didn’t like the number of girls that came before you, but you never said anything. You simply weren’t in the mood that night for any more patronizing looks, so you opted to silently work on homework instead.
After some time of working, the door opened. You instinctively looked up and found your pulse quicken as you were met with the beautiful eyes of Regulus Black. He was with his friends, Barty Crouch Jr, and Evan Rosier, but his eyes were on you. You looked down at the sheets of paper in your lap and pretended to not notice the sound of Regulus telling his friends to go up to their dorm without him. When they left though, you were forced to drop the act.
“I thought you’d be up in the Gryffindor tower with all your blood traitor and mudblood friends,” he said after taking a few steps closer to you.
You swallowed and kept your eyes on your paper. “I wasn’t in the mood, and they aren’t really my friends.”
“Really? Y/n you’re shagging my brother I’m not daft.”
He was slowly getting closer; you could see his shoes in your peripheral vision. You subconsciously held your breath. You kept your composure as well as you could.
“Great observation Reg, not as if the whole school knows that. And besides, since when have you cared about that?”
“I always care when someone with blood as pure as yours taints it with someone like my blood traitor brother,” he replied as if it were obvious. “Plus, if you have forgotten I’ve caught you staring at me at least a dozen times within the past month.”
Your cheeks turned bright red. “About that-”
“Look at me.”
His sudden authority made a warm feeling spread in your stomach. Slowly, you lifted your head to look up at him. He was close, barely a foot away. There was an expression on his face you once again couldn’t fully understand. You watched him examine your blushing face in silence.
“Go on then, explain yourself,” he said after a few seconds.
“I didn’t mean to; it was just an... accident,” you mumbled, your eyes moving around the room as you spoke.
Regulus tisked and without warning bent down slightly and gently touched his fingers to your chin. You were speechless. “I prefer to be looked at when spoken to y/n it’s a sign of respect. Can you do that?” You nodded and he moved to his previous position of standing. “Continue.”
“Like I said it was an accident, I sort of space out a lot and I guess my eyes go back to our table,” you continued. You stared in his eyes the entire time as your heart began to beat in your ears.
“I would’ve believed that if it had happened only once or twice, but this has been quite a few times. What is Sirius not fulfilling you enough?”
“No, it’s nothing like that he’s great I just... I dunno. You’re just...” You found it hard to speak with his eyes on you. “I dunno all right? Let’s just forget it’s ever happened yeah?”
It was the truth. You really didn’t know what it was that made you stare at him. It was just something. He fascinated you with his complexity. Sirius was outgoing and popular, but Regulus was closed off and reserved. He’d only had one known girlfriend in Hogwarts, he only talked to his friends, and he was mysterious. He was the opposite of his brother. And you found it perplexing.
“If you say so,” he spoke after a moment. Then he turned and started to walk toward the staircase to the boy's dorm. But before he was too far, he looked back at you with a sliver of a smirk. “You can talk to me though, if you need to. You don’t have to simply stare because my brother is insecure.”
He disappeared up the stairs before you could reply. And you spent the rest of the evening with his words replaying in your head.
~~~
April 22, 1978
You sat at lunch; Sirius’s arm was draped over your shoulders, and he shook as he laughed hysterically at something James said. You tried to put on a fake smile, but you weren’t sure how convincing it was. There was something about the way Sirius held you that made you feel off. You felt almost trapped. You felt as though you were being tested or put on display.
As if it was a sixth sense, your eyes looked at the one table you’d been purposely avoiding. He was already looking at you, it caused your breath to catch in your throat. For a few seconds, the two of you stared at each other, what felt like a mutual feeling of understanding was communicated through your eyes. So, when he nodded to the doorway you understood completely what he wanted. And you agreed.
“I’ve got to run down to my dorm I just remembered I forgot my essay for McGonagal.” You made up an excuse. From across the hall, you noticed Regulus already walking toward the exit. “I should go get it before class.”
Sirius dropped his arm from your shoulders and smiled. “You’re too forgetful y/n/n, but be quick I was hoping to get a quick snog in before that dreadful class.”
“Right, I’ll be as quick as I can,” you said as you stood up. You leaned down and pressed a kiss to his cheek, ignoring the eyes that were on you. “Don’t have too much fun without me.”
“I could never!” He exclaimed as you began to walk away.
Truthfully, you weren’t too sure of where Regulus went. You relied on the gut feeling in your stomach to guide you. With anxiety and anticipation flowing through your body, you made your way down a few halls before you found an abandoned classroom. The door was open a sliver, and somehow you knew it was the one.
He was inside, leaning on one of the desks with his arms crossed over his chest. “Close the door.”
You didn’t hesitate to listen to his request. Once it was closed you turned back to face him. “I don’t... I don’t really know what to say.”
“You looked like you needed to escape, you don’t have to talk,” he replied. His face was almost soft. “Am I the only one who knows how you feel?”
“You don’t know how I feel,” you mumbled.
Regulus rolled his eyes. “Just because you haven’t told me doesn’t mean I can’t read your face. It’s almost unbearable how miserable you look while you sit there. Why do you do it?”
You only stared at him, almost starstruck. Has he always been so observant? Or was your pain noticeable? You didn’t know what came over you, but you only acted on it. Before you could stop yourself, you moved across the room until you were barely a foot away from him. Regulus has always been perceived as cold and rude, but in that moment, he looked at you with sincerity no one could deny. Regulus knew you. That was all it took.
Without another thought you grabbed his tie and crashed your lips on his. His lips were soft and warm. Unlike his brothers, Regulus’s lips didn’t feel as though they’d been kissed thousands of times. He felt far less welcoming but nevertheless inviting. But your senses came flooding back fast and you pushed yourself away from him.
You stepped back and covered your burning lips with your hand. “Oh my... I’m- I’m so sorry I shouldn’t have. Fuck I’m terrible.”
“Y/n-”
“No, I can’t do this. I have to go.” You cut him off as you began to move to the door, tears forming in your eyes.
The last thing you heard was Regulus calling your name before you ran down to your dorm.
~~~
April 23, 1978
He was watching you. You could feel his eyes burning into you through every class and meal. Is that how he felt all those times you’d stared at him? It was uncomfortable, to say the least. You tried to pretend he wasn’t, you really did. But it was nearly impossible. You made sure you were accompanied by Sirius or one of your other friends throughout the entire day until you weren’t.
You were just running to the bathroom. You thought it would be quick enough for him to even notice you slipped out of class. It was stupid of you to think that. Just as you were about to enter the girl's bathroom, you felt a hand grab one of your wrists to stop you.
“You can’t avoid this y/n,” he said softly.
You inhaled sharply, refusing to look at him. “Let me go Regulus.”
“I don’t care about what happened and I’m not going to tell on you if that’s what you’re worried about,” he replied quickly.
“Then what do you want? I just- it was a mistake all right?” You felt your heart pounding in your chest. His hand was still on your wrist, your skin practically burned from the contact.
“Look at me.” His voice was hard. You turned slowly to look at him. His expression was soft, he looked almost... worried. “I know we’ve never been that close, but I suppose I’m now involved in your issues. You can talk to me; I want you to talk to me. You can’t keep all of whatever you’re feeling built up inside. It’ll only make you act out impulsively like yesterday.”
You let out a shaky breath. “It was a mistake. It should have never happened I was just... overwhelmed.”
“I know. And I don’t blame you.”
You hated how he said just the right words to make you fold completely.
“They don’t trust me. Even your brother. They seem to think I have some deep plot or that I want to murder the muggle-borns. It’s just... it’s too much Reg. I hate being constantly watched, it’s like they’re waiting for me to make a wrong move that proves their theories.”
“So, why don’t you leave?”
His question caught you off guard. Why didn’t you leave? You hadn’t really thought about it. Sure, you knew that you and Sirius were going to end eventually. But you hadn’t given much thought to how it would occur. Perhaps a mutual agreement? You didn’t know. And you told Regulus exactly that.
“Well, then it’s your fault you feel this way,” he replied.
You scoffed and pulled your wrist from his grip. “Thanks, Reg, you really know how to cheer a girl up.”
“Do you want me to lie and say it’s not your fault? Sorry, I’ll give it another go. It’s not your fault at all y/n, you’re being forced to be around my blood-traitor brother and all his mud-blood friends.” His voice was cold, but for some reason, it didn’t make you feel small. “Was that better?”
“Listen I know I have the choice but it’s just... it’s hard when you care about someone,” you said, ignoring his question.
He sighed and shook his head. “If leaving isn’t what you plan on, then I suppose you’ll have to settle on talking to Sirius about how you feel. I assume you haven’t done that yet?” You shook your head, and he rolled his eyes. “Then talk to him and see if maybe that helps.”
“But what if-”
“If he reacts badly then you break up with him, it’s not that hard to comprehend y/n. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to return to our class, so no one gets any more suspicious.” He cut you off.
You were left outside the girl's bathroom with your mind racing, and your wrist still tingling where Regulus had held it.
~~~
April 25, 1978
It took you over a day to muster up the courage to follow through with Regulus’s suggestion. No wonder you weren’t in Gryffindor. The opportunity for you to speak with Sirius alone came after lunch when the two of you had a free period. As usual, you spent most of the time up in Sirius’s bed. So, as the two of you laid next to each other, spent from another good time, you decided it was a good time to bring up how you felt.
“Sirius,” you spoke softly. Your head was on his chest, your fingers drawing circles on his skin. “Can I talk to you about something?”
“’ Course love, anything,” he replied sweetly.
You inhaled deeply and kept your head down. “We’ve been seeing each other for a decent amount of time now and I’ve enjoyed it very much, but it’s just...” You swallowed. “Your friends... they don’t accept me.”
“How do you mean?”
“Come on, don’t you see how they treat me? They always give me these looks; they whisper about me. I’m sure they’ve all voiced their concern about me to you,” you answered.
“They don’t mean it to make you feel bad, they just you know... Lily is muggle-born, and so is Mary.”
“I’m aware of that. That has nothing to do with me, you should know I don’t care about blood status.”
“Well yes but your house, the people you are friends with, they care. You can’t blame my friends for being weary.”
You sat up and looked at Sirius, suddenly full of anger. “I am not like the other people in my house, and it’s hypocritical for them to judge me based on that. Have I ever proven myself to be anything like the other Slytherins?”
“No, but-”
“But nothing Sirius. I’m not like them, and it hurts that you don’t even bother to make your friends believe that.” You cut him off. You got off his bed and began to gather your clothes. “It’s clear I’m not welcome here.”
“Y/n-”
You began to button your shirt. “No Sirius it’s fine, I understand. I thought you Gryffindors were supposed to be welcoming, I suppose that assumption was wrong too.”
Just as you were about to bend down to retrieve your tie, you felt Sirius’s warm hands on your hips. Instinctively, you turned to look at him. He stared up at you with a frown on his face. You hated how perfect he still looked with such a sour expression.
“You’re right, I should advocate for you more. I’ll do that from now on. You are nothing like the other Slytherins, you’re perfect y/n. I’m sorry for not catching on to this sooner.” His words were sincere, you could tell. It made your anger subside.
“Thank you,” you said, a small smile on your lips.
“Now, can you get back into bed for a little longer?” He asked.
You nodded with a chuckle and slid back beneath the sheets. Though you felt relieved and happy at the outcome of your conversation, you couldn’t help but think about what Regulus’s reaction to the news would be.
For some reason, you knew he wouldn’t be pleased.
~~~
April 26, 1978
His eyes searched your face; you tried your hardest to keep your expression neutral. The two of you were up in the astronomy tower, the glow of the moon and stars your only source of light. You didn’t know why you felt almost ashamed telling him about the conversation you had with Sirius. Something deep within you knew the outcome wasn’t what the younger Black brother wanted.
“I’m a bit confused,” he said after a moment of silence.
“What about?”
“If the conversation truly went as you say it did, why aren’t you happy?”
“What do you mean? I am happy. I think I even saw a bit of improvement today,” you answered honestly.
Regulus only shrugged and turned to look off the balcony. “Could’ve fooled me.”
“I really am happy Reg this is what I wanted. Now they won’t be so judgmental and perhaps I’ll start to finally feel welcomed,” you replied.
You stared at him for a minute. The soft glow of the moonlight illuminated his features in a way you’d never seen before. He was handsome. With his sharp jawline, his dark curly hair, and his prominent cheekbones how could he not be handsome?
Eventually, he turned his eyes back to you, and for a split second, your breath caught in your throat. There was something intense in his light eyes that you couldn’t decode. It made heat rush straight to your face.
“All right, if that’s what you want,” he said. “See you around.”
With that, he left. And you almost followed him, almost.
~~~
April 27, 1978
Something was wrong with you. Very wrong.
You couldn’t stop thinking about the one boy in Hogwarts you really shouldn’t have been thinking about. It was wrong, especially in the way you were thinking about him. You tried to distract yourself in every way you could. With your friends, with Sirius, with schoolwork. But nothing worked.
Perhaps it was the intense dream you’d had the previous night that kept your mind wandering. After all, who could simply brush off an intense sexual dream about their boyfriend's brother? It made you blush and feel ashamed each time it crossed your mind throughout the day. And when you saw Regulus around the school, you almost fell apart.
It was as though a switch had been flipped inside you. Gone were the innocent friendly thoughts you had about the younger Black brother. They were replaced by awfully inappropriate ones.
But you were determined to make them vanish. Because to act on such thoughts would be terrible.
Right?
~~~
April 28, 1978
Avoiding Regulus was hard given he was in almost all your classes, and he shared the same common room as you. But you tried your hardest. You spent the day clung to Sirius as much as you could, despite the fact you were upset with him. Being around him meant being away from his brother. That was the important thing.
Things between you and Sirius’s friends had not changed much. You wondered if he had even said anything to them. If he did, it didn’t seem like it. It hurt you, but it didn’t occupy your thoughts as much as it previously had.
Actually, it made you realize something you were too afraid to admit.
Regulus seemed to care more about your feelings than your boyfriend.
That thought scared you. And it only made your improper thoughts about him grow.
~~~
April 29, 1978
You sat up in the Astronomy tower with your legs dangling off the balcony, a bottle of firewhiskey beside you. For the first time in months, you couldn’t deal with your thoughts without a substance. Luckily your boyfriend had a stash of alcohol and was able to spare you a small bottle. So, you took it with a big thank you and practically ran up to the tower. You needed to clear your head. You needed to escape.
There was a slight breeze, it made you clutch your robe tighter around your body. The alcohol helped too. You took another swig, a sigh escaping your lips at the feeling. You liked the way it made your chest warm, and how it made the thoughts of Regulus fade.
Suddenly, you heard footsteps. You gathered the bottle into your robe but remained seated. Whoever it was, they’d catch you anyway. There weren’t many hiding spaces in the tower. So, you prepared for an angry Filch to scold you.
“I figured you’d be up here, your roommates said they hadn’t seen you, neither did my brother.” The gentle voice of the boy you were trying to avoid spoke.
You whipped your head around fast, your mouth hung open slightly. He was only a few feet away from you, and still getting closer. “You talked to him about me?”
“Told him we have a project together and he still wasn’t very welcoming. I see why you feel out of place now,” he answered as he lowered himself to sit beside you. “Care to share any of that with me?”
“Since when do you drink Mr. Prefect?” You questioned skeptically.
He shrugged. “I’ve indulged before, is that surprising? I am almost of age you know.”
“You just don’t seem like the type that’s all,” you replied honestly. You removed the bottle from under your robe and handed it to him. “I’m a bit ahead of you though.”
Regulus didn’t reply. Instead, he popped the cap off the bottle and took a few swigs. You watched carefully, unable to hide your smile when his face scrunched up from the bitterness. Even then, he was still beautiful.
“Wine is much better than this,” he said after a minute as he handed the bottle back to you.
You nodded. “Taste wise, yes, but this gets you drunk much faster.”
“Is that what you want? To get drunk?”
You nodded again and took a swig from the bottle. He had a point, firewhiskey tasted awful. But you needed it, especially since Regulus had caught you alone and even more because he looked far too good in the moonlight.
“I thought things were going to get better with my brother,” he spoke.
“I thought so too but it seems he isn’t good at keeping his word,” you replied with a frown.
Regulus chuckled and took the bottle again. “Well look at him, he’s a filthy blood traitor, what do you see in him?”
“He’s kind, outgoing, very fun to party with, and of course one of the most handsome boys in the school,” you answered. You couldn’t help but smile when Regulus rolled his eyes. “None of that matters though. We’ll be splitting up soon.”
“Yeah?”
The hope in his voice was undeniable. It made your heart rate quicken.
“Yeah. He’ll be leaving school soon and we never really planned to last this long anyway so it only makes sense that we’ll be splitting.”
As he handed you the bottle back, your fingers brushed. You held in your breath, your mouth suddenly felt dry, and a tingle began in the small place where his skin met yours. Your eyes met again and from the way his starry eyes suddenly appeared darker you knew he felt what you did.
You should’ve looked away. You knew you should’ve. You’d like to blame the alcohol for the way you felt, but Regulus Black had proven himself to be more magnetic than any boy you’d ever met so there was no use excusing it. So, despite the fact it was wrong, you didn’t move when he started to lean closer.
“I’m glad to hear that,” he said, his voice quieter than before.
“I’m sure you are,” you replied. He was close, his lips only inches away from yours.
“Why’s that?” He asked.
His eyes were so beautiful, you could barely focus on the words that came out of his mouth. “Because you...”
Your eyes fluttered shut and you felt his soft lips brush against yours. He was so gentle; you could barely even feel him. And after only a few seconds he pulled back. Your eyes remained closed.
“Because I’m...?”
“Reg, don’t make me ask you.”
“Oh, but I want to hear it so bad.”
“Just shut up and kiss me already.”
He didn’t hesitate to fulfill your request and soon enough he was kissing you with an intensity you weren’t sure you ever felt before. One of his hands fell to your waist, his fingers quickly untucking your shirt from your skirt. You let your fingers run through his curls as you’d imagined doing so many times over the previous days.
When he pushed you back and urged you to lie down, you did it. When he pushed your knees apart and slid between your legs you didn’t protest. It was terrible, you were cheating on your boyfriend with his little brother. But at that moment no thoughts could even register in your head. All you could think about was how good Regulus’s body felt against yours and how good he was at kissing.
Perhaps things moved faster than they should’ve. Perhaps they should’ve never moved in that direction to begin with. Either way, within only a few minutes both of your robes were discarded and one of Regulus’s hands was between your thighs. His lips remained on yours as he toyed with you, his soft kiss engulfed each of your moans. You traced your fingertips up and down his back, your hand under his shirt. He was soft but rough, he was perfect.
“I want you,” he suddenly whispered against your lips.
Your eyes opened, he pulled back a bit, and your eyes met his. He didn’t stop his fingers; you could barely think of what to say. “I want you too Reg.”
“Right now?” He asked.
“Right now,” you assured him breathlessly.
You watched him fumble with his belt for a few seconds before he distracted you with another kiss. He was intoxicating, to say the least. Every one of your senses was flooded with Regulus Black. The scent of his cologne, the feeling of his hands under your skirt, the taste of the firewhiskey he’d previously drank, the sound of his shallow breath, the brief glimpses you stole of his pretty face, it was almost too much for you to handle.
Once his belt was finally undone you felt him shift and you knew what was to come. You didn’t think of stopping him for a second. Instead, you threaded your fingers back in his black curls and held him tighter. He pushed your panties to the side and without warning began to slowly push his cock inside you.
You bit down on his lip, your back arched off the floor, and your thighs squeezed around him. He didn’t stutter with his movements and began to thrust in and out at a pace that made your head spin and your insides warm.
After a few minutes, he began to trail his mouth down your neck, the sensation making it impossible for you to stay quiet. You gripped one of his biceps with your hand and your eyes squeezed shut as he fucked you. He was careful despite the heat of the moment, however. You were silently grateful. No marks would be left on your skin.
“Reg,” you moaned. “Fuck Reg.”
He staggered for a moment. “Are you okay?” The vibration of his voice on your skin made you almost moan again.
“Yes, yes. Please don’t stop,” you whimpered.
It would be impossible for you to know exactly how long it went on. But by the time it was over, you felt no effects from the alcohol you’d drank before. You came hard, arguably harder than you’d ever come in your life. Regulus did something to you that you couldn’t understand. So, when he asked if it was ok for him to finish inside you said yes.
The two of you laid next to each other in the aftermath, a few inches between your bodies. Sweat covered the inside of your shirt, and another substance leaked between your thighs. You only stared at the ceiling and the stars above as you steadied your breathing.
“I won’t tell,” Regulus said after some time.
“Thank you,” you replied quietly. You were still in a daze; your mind couldn’t process what had just occurred. You sat up, your back was already starting to ache. “I should go.”
From the corner of your eye, you saw Regulus sit up too. “Yeah, you should.”
You slid your robe over your arms and straightened out your tie and shirt. Before you stood, you made sure to grab the bottle of firewhiskey and conceal it under your clothes. You looked down at Regulus briefly, he was already looking at you. It made your face heat up.
You gave him a weak smile. “I’ll um... I’ll see you tomorrow then. Goodnight.”
“Goodnight.”
You escaped before anything else could be said and raced down to your dorm.
The whole night you tossed and turned in bed, your head full of thoughts that would not let you sleep. You cheated on Sirius. With his brother. It was almost unimaginable. You’d never thought of cheating before, it never crossed your mind. But there you were a cheater.
You just hoped Sirius wouldn’t ask where you were on April 29th.
Because he really wouldn’t want to know.

Theme: Deer | @moonwater-microfic | Words: 282
"So, you guys are finally doing the patronus stuff?" Remus looked up from his book to see Regulus taking a seat beside him, bearing a haughty expression.
Remus carefully placed his bookmark and nodded. "We are - wait, what do you mean 'finally'? You've not got it for another year yet."
"You think the Noble and Most-"
"You can just say 'family', Reg..." Remus muttered, though the small smile on his face betrayed him.
"-of Black," Regulus finished, pointedly, "-would send me off to school without a firm grasp on a few advanced spells?"
"Um... are you expecting to encounter many dementors in your time?" Remus quipped, unable to help himself but also genuinely curious about why this of all spells would make the cut.
Regulus just rolled his eyes. "I had a choice. I wanted to know what my patronus would be - what was yours?"
Remus hesitated. "Wait, how did you know we've been doing that today?"
"Overheard Potter going on about Evans also having a deer, or something. I wasn't really listening but that guy is so fucking hard to ignore sometimes. He sits two damn tables away!" Regulus replied, testily. "So, you?"
"Oh, um. Mine was a snake-" Remus began, taking care as he unravelled the loose thread on his robe sleeve.
He looked up as Regulus snorted in response.
"Bollocks," he laughed. "Sneaking around with me for three months, does not a snake make."
"Four-"
"Four and a half, actually. I just wanted to see if you were counting too-" Remus watched as the left side of Regulus' mouth turned up in a playful smile. "Like I said, you're not sneaky, Lupin."
Well, he couldn't argue with that.

@jegulus-microfic march 28th, skinny-dip, 200 words
“Oh, come on baby,” James whines, pouting and looking straight at Regulus. “I promise you’ll have so much fun!”
Fuck. James is not playing fair right now. He knows Regulus can’t say no to him when he looks like that. Sneaky git.
“Can’t we just go for a normal swim?” Regulus offers.
“Then it won’t be skinny-dipping,” James counters. “I promise you’ll enjoy it!”
Regulus clicks his tongue, determined to make his boyfriend work for it a little more. “Hm, I don’t think so Jamie,” he hums. “What if someone sees us naked?”
“Let them,” James replies, looking like he’s already won. “You’re mine anyways.”
Bless James’ heart. “The police, my love,” Regulus counters. “What if the police sees?”
“I won’t get jealous, I promise.”
Regulus chuckles, rolling his eyes. “I don’t think that’ll matter much when we get arrested for public indecency, Jamie.”
James pouts again, getting close to Regulus and wrapping his arms around his waist. “Pleeease, baby? I’ll make you that lasagna you really like afterwards.”
Regulus rests his head on top on James’ shoulder smirking to himself. “Deal,” he says, pressing a kiss to James’ cheek. “I was going to do it either way.”
“I know.”

The Slytherin common room buzzed faintly with the warmth of the enchanted fireplace, but to you, it felt more like a tomb. The empty couches and eerie quiet of the holidays always did that. You lay sprawled on Regulus Black's bed—his perfectly made bed, which you were mildly ruining with your presence—and shot a glare toward his open trunk, half-packed with the precision only someone as uptight as Regulus could manage.
"That’s my bed you’re defiling," a voice drawled.
You bolted upright, realizing with horror that Reg wasn’t the one who spoke. You’d accidentally sprawled onto Barty Crouch Jr.’s bed. The realization made you leap off it like it burned.
"Ugh," you groaned, brushing yourself off as if the act alone could cleanse you. "Do you even wash those sheets? Actually, don’t answer that—I don’t want to know."
Barty smirked. “Why, jealous of the ‘type of girls’ who—”
“Stop right there!” you barked, cutting him off. “I don’t need a list.”
Regulus, seated on the edge of his own bed, pinched the bridge of his nose. "Merlin’s sake, do you two ever take a break from this?"
You folded your arms. "Reg, I think it’s fair to say that I wouldn’t need to if he didn’t exist."
"And yet, here I am," Barty said cheerfully, settling on the arm of the couch like he owned the place.
"Existing loudly, obnoxiously, and in the worst possible way," you shot back.
Regulus groaned. "You know, sometimes I feel like I’m babysitting. Why do you hate each other so much?"
“Umm, I don’t know, Reg,” you replied, voice dripping with sarcasm. “Maybe because he’s the most arrogant, annoying, insufferable, self-centered, overconfident, ridiculous—"
"Impressive vocabulary," Regulus deadpanned. "That’s seven insults in one breath. You’re rivaling Evans’ rants about Potter."
"Thank you," you said sweetly, before returning your glare to Barty.
He, for his part, looked far too amused. “I’m flattered, really. That much attention? I must be doing something right.”
Regulus ignored him. “Well, you’re going to have to tolerate him.”
“Pass,” you said immediately.
"Unfortunately, not an option," Reg continued. "You have two choices. Either come home with me for the holidays—awkward, tense dinners with Mother and Father included—"
"Barf," you interrupted.
"—or stay here at Hogwarts with Barty."
Your jaw dropped. "That’s not a choice! That’s Sophie’s Choice!"
Barty tilted his head. “Which one am I in this scenario? The kid that gets—”
"Don’t," you warned, jabbing a finger in his direction.
Regulus smirked faintly. "Well, what’s it going to be?"
You groaned. "Weirdly, staying with Crouch sounds like the better option. How did my life come to this?"
Tumblr media
The Slytherin common room was hauntingly empty when the holidays began. The eerie quiet made you itch, and the firewhiskey you’d filched from the kitchens wasn’t doing enough to drown the loneliness. You sat in front of the fireplace, swishing the amber liquid in your glass as though it could conjure some company.
The door creaked open behind you. You didn’t bother turning around, but the low hum of voices made your stomach twist.
“…yeah, just up here,” Barty’s voice carried, warm and smooth in a way that made your teeth clench.
Moments later, he entered your line of sight—his arm slung around a girl whose name you vaguely recalled as Jessica. Or Miranda. Whatever. The two of them were all over each other, and you immediately looked back at the fire.
Barty’s voice broke through the air. “Hey, sweetheart.”
You took a long sip of whiskey. “Please, don’t let me stop you.”
The girl—still clinging to him—smirked, and you resolutely ignored her as she worked on unbuttoning his shirt. Barty, however, seemed distracted, his eyes flickering to you.
"How about we pick this up later?" he said suddenly.
The girl blinked. “Are you serious?”
“Very,” he replied, his tone leaving no room for argument. She huffed, gathering her things, and stormed out.
Barty let out a long breath, plopped down beside you, and started buttoning his shirt. "Well, that’s not going to happen again."
You side-eyed him. “Shame. She seemed charming.”
“Jealous?” he asked, smirking.
You rolled your eyes and offered him the bottle of firewhiskey. "So, you know how I’m like—"
"Absolutely embarrassingly in love with me? Yes, I’m familiar. Go on."
"Can you take anything seriously?"
“Yes, I do. I take you very seriously.”
"Anyway," you continued pointedly, “you know how I’m, like, alone for the holidays?”
He tilted his head. "What are you talking about? I’m right here."
"You want to spend the holidays with me?"
"Now that you say it, it really does sound weird."
You groaned and leaned back against the couch, nursing the bottle of firewhiskey as if it held the answers to your problems.
“Careful,” he said, a teasing lilt in his voice. “Wouldn’t want you getting emotional on me.”
“Oh, don’t flatter yourself,” you muttered. “If I cry, it’ll be because I’m stuck here with you.”
Barty clutched his chest dramatically. “You wound me, sweetheart. Truly. I’m a delight.”
“You’re a menace,” you corrected.
“Semantics.” He plucked the bottle from your hands and took a swig, ignoring your glare. “Besides, you’re the one who decided I was the lesser evil compared to awkward Black family dinners. Makes you wonder about your priorities.”
“I regret everything,” you deadpanned.
He grinned, leaning back to rest his head on the arm of the couch. The firelight danced across his features, softening the usual sharpness of his expression. For a moment, you hated how easy it was for him to look so... comfortable.
"Do you ever stop being smug?" you asked.
"Not when I’m winning."
"Winning what, exactly?"
He gestured vaguely between the two of you. "This. Us. Our rivalry. Whatever you call this disaster of a relationship."
"Relationship?!" you choked, nearly spilling your drink.
"Rivalry is a kind of relationship," he pointed out, looking entirely too pleased with himself.
You groaned, burying your face in your hands. “Merlin, just hex me now.”
"Tempting," he mused, stealing another sip from the bottle.
You reached over to snatch it back, and in the scuffle, his hand brushed yours. For a fleeting moment, your eyes met, and something in his expression shifted—so subtle, you almost missed it. But then he smirked, and the moment was gone.
“So,” he said, settling back. “What’s your plan? Drink yourself into oblivion until the new year?”
“Bold of you to assume I have a plan,” you muttered.
“Tragic, really,” he replied. “No wonder you need me.”
“I don’t need you,” you shot back.
“Sure you don’t,” he said easily, standing up and stretching. “Come on.”
You frowned. “What?”
“Get up.”
“Why?”
“Because I’m bored, and I’m not spending the rest of the night watching you sulk. We’re going for a walk.”
“A walk?” you repeated incredulously. “It’s freezing outside!”
“Good thing you have that fiery personality to keep you warm,” he said with a grin, already heading toward the common room door.
Tumblr media
You didn’t know why you followed him. Maybe it was the firewhiskey, or maybe it was the sheer absurdity of the situation, but somehow, you found yourself trudging through the snowy grounds of Hogwarts, your breath puffing in the cold air.
“This is the dumbest thing you’ve ever made me do,” you grumbled, shoving your hands into your pockets.
“Oh, please,” Barty said, walking a few paces ahead. “If this is the dumbest thing, then clearly I haven’t been trying hard enough.”
You rolled your eyes, but a small smile tugged at your lips despite yourself. He turned back to glance at you, catching the fleeting moment of amusement before you could mask it.
“See? You’re having fun,” he said smugly.
“Barely,” you replied.
The owlery loomed ahead, its spires dusted with snow. Barty pushed open the creaking door, letting you step inside first. The warmth of the building, faint though it was, was a welcome reprieve from the cold.
As he wandered to a nearby perch, you pulled a letter from your pocket—the one you’d been avoiding since it arrived. Your parents had written to let you know they were home early from their trip and could come to pick you up if you wanted.
You scanned the letter, your eyes flickering over the words, before glancing at Barty. He stood by a window, his breath fogging the glass as he rubbed his hands together for warmth.
Without thinking too much about it, you pulled out a quill and parchment and began to write your reply.
Dear Mum and Dad, Thanks for the offer, but I think I’ll stay at Hogwarts for the holidays. Love, Me
You folded the letter carefully, sealing it before tying it to the leg of a nearby owl. The bird hooted softly, spreading its wings as it soared off into the night.
Brushing your hands together, you turned and made your way to where Barty was perched by the window. His breath fogged the glass as he stared out into the snow-covered grounds, looking strangely peaceful for someone who thrived on chaos.
“Enjoying the view?” you asked, hopping up to sit beside him on the ledge.
“Would be better if you weren’t ruining it,” he replied without missing a beat, glancing at you with a smirk.
“Oh, how tragic for you,” you said, nudging his shoulder lightly. “Should I leave you alone with your deep thoughts?”
“And deprive you of my company? I’m not that cruel,” he quipped, nudging you back.
You rolled your eyes, bumping him again, harder this time. “You’re insufferable, you know that?”
“And yet, here you are,” he said, smirking as he nudged you right back. “Sitting with me. Bantering with me. Some might call it quality time.”
“Some might call it punishment,” you shot back, unable to suppress the grin tugging at your lips.
He chuckled, the sound low and warm, before leaning back against the wall. The firelight from the sconces glinted off his features, making him look almost softer than usual.
“You know,” he said after a moment, “for someone who claims to hate me, you spend an awful lot of time in my presence.”
“Don’t flatter yourself,” you said, your tone light but your shoulder brushing his again.
“Too late,” he replied, smirking as he met your gaze.
The silence that followed wasn’t awkward, surprisingly. Instead, it felt… comfortable, even as the cold from outside seeped through the stone walls.
Tumblr media
The walk back inside was quiet at first, snowflakes clinging to your robes as you made your way through the dimly lit corridors. The silence didn’t last long, though—because, well, Barty.
As you approached the main hall, he slowed, eyes catching on a towering Christmas tree tucked into a corner, adorned with only the faintest glimmer of lights.
“So, you know how-,” Barty began, his tone casual, almost too casual.
You smirked, cutting him off. “You’re obviously in love with me?”
He chuckled, the sound low and warm. “Touché,” he said, not missing a beat. “But as I was saying—before I was so rudely interrupted—we don’t have to wallow in misery here. We could, I don’t know, decorate the Christmas tree in our common room.”
You raised an eyebrow. “And how exactly do you think we’re supposed to do that? There aren’t decorations just lying around.”
He gave you a sly grin, the kind that always spelled trouble. “I’ve got my ways,” he said with a wink.
You shook your head, laughing despite yourself. “That sounds suspiciously ominous, but fine. Lead the way.”
As he guided you through the castle, you couldn’t help but pester him. “Where exactly are we going?”
“Salazar, you ask a lot of questions, don’t you?” Barty groaned, though his tone held amusement.
“Excuse me if I don’t blindly follow someone whose life motto is basically chaos and poor decisions,” you shot back, earning a snicker from him.
Eventually, he led you to the seventh floor, stopping abruptly in front of a blank stretch of wall. You blinked, glancing around nervously. “Uh, Crouch, I don’t think we’re supposed to be here.”
He smirked, completely unfazed. “You worry too much, treasure.”
Your cheeks heated at the nickname, and you shot him a look. “Treasure? That’s new.”
He waved you off, nonchalant, though his smirk deepened. “You’ll get used to it.”
“All right, fine, but if Filch shows up, I’m hexing you first,” you muttered, though you couldn’t stop the small smile forming as you followed him.
As he paced in front of the wall, you crossed your arms. “Crouch, hate to break it to you, but a wall isn’t going to help us celebrate Christmas.”
He paused, turning to you with mock seriousness. “I feel two things right now. One, you’re severely underestimating my brilliance. And two, if I can call you treasure, you can at least call me Barty.”
“Oh, sod off,” you said, laughing.
“Charming,” he replied, grinning.
Before you could retort, the once-blank wall began to shift, stones rippling like water before solidifying into an ornate door. Your jaw dropped as Barty casually pushed it open.
“Ladies first,” he said, gesturing with exaggerated chivalry.
You rolled your eyes, stepping past him. “Such a gentleman.”
“Only for you,” he quipped, his grin widening.
Inside, your breath caught. The room was filled with everything you could possibly need to decorate a Christmas tree: boxes of shimmering ornaments, strings of enchanted fairy lights, and even rolls of tinsel that sparkled like stardust.
“Is that—” you stammered, pointing at a pile of candy canes stacked next to a miniature sleigh.
Barty draped an arm over your shoulders, looking smug. “This is the Room of Requirement, treasure. Think of something you really need, and it appears—within reason. Found it when Evan and I were pranking Snape.”
You shook your head in amazement, eyes wide as you took it all in. “Merlin, I love magic.”
Barty watched you, his smirk softening into something almost fond. “Yeah, it’s got its moments.”
You turned to him, excitement practically buzzing off you. “Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s turn that boring tree into something worthy of our genius.”
He grinned, grabbing a box of ornaments. “Now you’re talking.”
Tumblr media
You and Barty dove into the decorations like kids in a candy shop. He threw a strand of tinsel over his shoulder, looking entirely too pleased with himself.
“Would you look at that?” he said, holding up a glittery bauble. “This one’s almost as sparkly as you.”
You snorted, grabbing it from his hand. “Flattery will get you nowhere, Crouch.”
“Please, I’m just getting started.” He waggled his brows before draping a garish red-and-gold ribbon around the tree in one dramatic flourish.
“Subtlety really isn’t your strong suit, is it?” you said, hanging ornaments with a bit more care.
“Subtlety is boring,” he replied, holding up a pair of elf-shaped ornaments and making them ‘kiss.’ “Now this is art.”
Rolling your eyes, you flicked a sprig of tinsel at him. “You’re impossible.”
“And you love it,” he shot back with a grin.
As the tree began to come together, you both stood back to admire your work—or, at least, your chaos. The tree was a glorious mess of mismatched ornaments, glowing lights, and way too much tinsel.
“Alright,” Barty said, clapping his hands together. “Time for the grand finale: the star.” He held it up, the light reflecting off its gilded surface.
“Go on, then,” you said, crossing your arms.
He scoffed. “You think I’m tall enough for this?”
“Why are you holding it, then?”
He gave you a mischievous look. “Because you’re going to sit on my shoulders, obviously.”
“Oh no, absolutely not,” you started, but Barty had already crouched down in front of you.
“Come on, treasure. Unless you want a very lopsided star?” He glanced back at you, his grin infuriatingly charming.
You groaned. “Fine. But if you drop me—”
“I won’t,” he said confidently. “Unless you insult my decorating skills again.”
With a roll of your eyes, you carefully climbed onto his shoulders. He stood up, holding your legs steady as you wobbled slightly.
“Stop moving!” you yelped.
“Relax, you’re doing great,” he said, his voice laced with laughter. “Just don’t kick me in the head.”
With a muttered curse, you reached up, placing the star delicately on the top branch. “There. Done.”
Barty gave a little celebratory bounce. “Perfect. You can come down now.”
You let out a relieved laugh as you slid off his shoulders, landing back on solid ground.
“See? Told you I wouldn’t drop you.”
You smirked. “Don’t let it go to your head.”
As you both stood there, admiring your handiwork, something peculiar happened. A small pop echoed above you, and when you glanced up, there it was—mistletoe, hanging innocently from thin air.
You turned to Barty, narrowing your eyes. “Really?”
He blinked, all wide-eyed innocence. “What? That’s definitely not my doing.” He gasped, clutching his chest dramatically. “Could it be the castle itself, trying to tell us something?”
“Oh, cut the theatrics,” you said, though you couldn’t help but laugh.
He leaned in slightly, his grin softening. “Well, we wouldn’t want to anger the castle, would we?”
You gave him a long, suspicious look. “You’re ridiculous.”
“And yet, you’re still standing here,” he murmured, his voice lower now, more serious.
With a small smile, you stood on your toes, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. He responded immediately, his hands coming up to gently cup your face.
When you pulled back, his grin was back, brighter than ever. “So, does this mean you’ll let me call you treasure more often?”
You shoved him lightly, laughing. “Don’t push it.”
“Too late,” he said, his laughter echoing through the room as he pulled you back in for another kiss.

@jegulus-microfic / May 1: Animagus / word count: 321
"I don't trust that cat," is the first thing Peter says as he enters the room to find James in his pajamas showing a book about herbology to the now recurring visitor sitting on his lap who just stares at the pages in front of him with apparent disdain.
"That's probably because you're a rat, mate. Literally," replies a barely visible Sirius from the bed he is sharing with Remus, who has him firmly wrapped in his arms as he sleeps.
Peter, probably the most perceptive person in the room, only mumbles something intelligible and merely goes to his bed and closes the red curtains. None of the room's occupants are aware that Regulus Black has been infiltrating in his animagus form with only one purpose: to get revenge. A few weeks ago, someone from the group 'accidentally' cast a spell on him that made him blow bubbles every time he tried to say a word with the letter 'L' in it, making even saying his own first and last name an ordeal and leaving a lingering taste of soap in his mouth for days.
Regulus’ plan to get his revenge was simple: sneak into the dormitory, wait for everyone to fall asleep, steal the silly map his brother and his friends think they're so sneaky about, and watch them freak out when they notice it's missing. Sounds simple, right? But what he didn't count on was that James Potter would treat him like his real pet...
"Are you sleepy too, Merlot?" and even giving him a ridiculous name.
--
Several minutes later, with James sprawled on the bed and snoring softly, Regulus decides that his plan will have to wait another day. It would be too obvious to do it on the very day Peter suspected of him. Of course, this postponement has nothing to do with the warmth of the body he's curled up against and how good it smells.

A/n: I’m getting back into a James phase so this was really fun🤪
Warnings: mentions of drinking/drinking, drunk James Potter, slight angst
-
Being apart of the marauders was always fun no matter what. Being in love with one while he fawned after another girl? Not so much. That’s the life of Y/n Weasley. In love with James Potter while he was in love with Lily Evans.
It was Gryffindor vs Slytherin quidditch day. So it’s bound to be an eventful one.
Currently the marauders were sitting at the Gryffindor table eating breakfast and talking about the upcoming quidditch match.
“It’s going to be a good match. Gryffindor winning of course.” Said James Potter throwing his arm around Y/n as he spoke.
“The party after will be even better.” Y/n grinned after she finished her toast.
“Did anyone get the fire whiskey?” Asked Sirius to which everyone nodded. They had stashed it away last night for the party they were sure they were going to have the next day.
Soon after it was time for the match. Remus and Y/n commentating with Peter sitting with them. “Alrighty witches and wizards todays match is Gryffindor versus Slytherin!” Y/n yelled into the mike happily.
“Gryffindor will win obviously we’re much better than those-.” Remus started but was already cut off by McGonagall knowing what he was going to say.
The match started and Slytherin were winning by 20 points. 10-30. The three Gryffindors in the teachers stands all shaking their heads trying to not go off.
Suddenly there was a bludger heading right for Sirius. “Move Padfoot! Those sneaky fucks sent a bludger for you!” Y/n yelled angrily warning Sirius but earning a scolding from McGonagall.
“Minnie you know it’s true!” The redhead said to her professor away from the mic.
“Come on James get the bloody snitch!” Remus shouted after Sirius had dodged the bludger.
Eventually the score was tied up 30-30 with James Potter and Regulus Black looking for the snitch. “Come on.” Y/n whispered to herself watching as James started to go after something. The snitch. Soon after Regulus followed in pursuit.
“James Potter has spotted the snitch and is going after it! Regulus Black follows soon after.” Remus and Y/n yelled into the mic.
Y/n pulled Peter up next to them as the three of them linked arms as they cheered in anticipation for James to get the snitch. “Come on Prongs.” The three yelled to him into the mic.
Both of the seekers reached out to grab the snitch but only one got it. James. “James Potter has got the snitch!” Remus shouted almost louder than before.
“Gryffindor fucking wins!” All three yelled. McGonagall just laughed and shook her head this time. She always did if Gryffindor won a match.
The three marauders who weren’t on the quidditch team quickly ran down to the field as fast as they could. They ran to James and Sirius who were in the middle of the crowd starting to form around James.
“James!” Y/n shouted as they got to them. “Vixen!” He shouted back hugging her and spinning her around. Y/n blushed hard even though it didn’t mean anything. Atleast he thought it didn’t.
She shook her head out of it and congratulated him as he set her down. She noticed Remus looking towards her with a sad type of smile, knowing her feelings for James.
The five marauders gathered up together again after James and Sirius changed back into regular clothes. They all walked back to the Gryffindor common room cheering and thinking up new pranks.
They got back to the common room and started setting up for the big party they were going to have a little bit later on in the evening. They set up quickly only having to set up the speakers for the music and getting the cups out for the fire whiskey, using magic to make it go quicker.
They sat on the common room couches just chatting now while other Gryffindors seemed to be out of the common room currently minus a couple others.
James was talking to Sirius and Peter and Y/n couldn’t help but stare from the couch herself and Remus sat on. She loved the way his curls fell or his dimples when he smiled. She probably looked like a lovesick fool to everyone but him. He was too infatuated with Lily to notice no matter how many times Y/n thought that maybe he liked her.
“You know you shouldn’t waste your time on him.” Remus said quietly to her snapping her out of her dazed staring.
She looked over to him giving him a slight frown. “It’s hard though Remmy.” She told him only talking loud enough where they could hear each other. “I know. But it hurts you more than anything.” Remus told her softly.
“I know.” Y/n sighs glancing over to James then back to Remus. “I’ll get over him tonight. That’s what I’ll do.” The redheaded girl said determination on her face although in her mind she wasn’t as determined.
“I hope you can to save you the hurt that may come.” Remus told her with a slight small sad smile.
“I’m going to go get ready.” Y/n told the boys standing up.
“You should probably go invite everyone else and make sure they’re coming.” She suggested to them. “Aye aye Captain.” Sirius joked saluting her. Y/n rolled her eyes chuckling.
She then walked to her dorm room which to her shock Marlene or even Lily weren’t in there currently.
Y/n went to her trunk and pulled out a simple dress that wasn’t too short. It was new. She had actually gotten it last week when the Marauders went to Hogsmeade.
She changed into the dress then went over to the vanity all the girls shared since the dorm was kinda packed.
As she went to it Lily and Marlene walked in. Lily looked annoyed. Probably James again. “You okay Lily?” Y/n asked finally sitting down at the vanity.
“It’d that stupid James Potter again! He won’t stop asking me out! He’s so frustrating!” Lily exclaimed confirming Y/n’s suspicions. “James can tend to be quite stupid.” Y/n chuckled grabbing her brush and brushing her hair.
“You two are coming to the party though, right?” She asked changing the subject while continuing to brush her hair out.
“We are. Gryffindor did win the quidditch match today.” Marlene, a chaser on the team said proudly. “Beat the Slytherin scum.” Y/n said with a slight smirk putting her brush down and using a spell to curl her hair, too lazy to actually do it herself.
The other two girls started to get ready too. After Y/n finished her makeup then Marlene did hers then Lily did hers.
Eventually it was time for them to head down to the party. All three girls linked arms as they got to the steps going down into the common room. The two redheads and blonde walked down the steps.
They all got drinks when they got down into the common room. Eventually all three separated to do their own thing.
Y/n went off to find atleast one of the other marauders. Oddly enough despite trying to get over him tonight she found James first. She was hoping to find her older brother Arthur Weasley.
He beckoned her over to which she did walk over to him. They were still friends and she couldn’t just ignore him.
“You’re looking gorgeous, darling.” James complimented grabbing Y/n’s hand getting her to do a spin. “Thank you, Prongs.” Y/n thanked him blushing but James didn’t seem to notice.
Or so she thought but James had noticed. He had noticed every time she blushed around him. He loved it but didn’t say anything in fear of that he was just thinking up silly things so he just went after Lily.
“Y/n right?” A boy asked coming up to Y/n who still stood beside James. “Yeah.” Y/n said lightly giving him a small smile. “Dance with me?” He asked shyly holding out his hand. “Of course.” The girl said much to James’s distaste but she didn’t have to know that.
The boy dragged her to where everyone was dancing, starting to dance with her. “What is your name? Sorry I don’t recognize you.” Y/n asked then apologized feeling a bit embarrassed she didn’t recognize him.
“You’re fine. My name is Dylan.” He said to her over the music. They continued to dance together and Y/n was actually having fun. Maybe she could actually get over James.
Meanwhile James slightly mad and extremely jealous at the situation was drinking and getting as drunk as ever.
It seemed to be that eventually James was on the couch drunk whining about wanting someone. He was surrounded by Sirius, Remus, and Peter.
“I want her Padfoot! With her pretty green eyes and red hair!” James cried out to him. “I don’t think Lily wants you Prongs.” Sirius told him trying to go easy on him.
“Lily? Who said I wanted Lily?” James said to him making the three marauders that were there confused. “I want Y/n! But she doesn’t want me. She’s off with that guy dancing and not caring about me!” James cried covering his face with his hands causing shock to spread across Sirius, Remus, and Peter’s faces.
Remus then left to go grab Y/n who was now sitting somewhere else with that guy having a conversation with him. “Sorry to interrupt but it’s James. He’s drunk out his mind calling for you.” Remus told her grabbing her arm to pull her up.
Y/n instantly got concerned. She turned to Dylan and apologized then ran following Remus to James.
“Jamie?” Y/n asked quietly as she got to the couch where he was. Now all the marauders were there. “Y/n?” He said uncovering his face.
Tears were in his eyes making Y/n’s heart break. Suddenly James attacked her with a hug. Y/n hugged him back and ran one of her hands through his curls.
“Why’d you leave me? Why did you go off with that guy? Don’t you know I love you?” James rambled off. “What? You know I love you too James.” She said to him.
“No! I’m in love with you!” James exclaimed shocking Y/n. There’s no way this is true. He’s just drunk right now. “We can talk about this when you’re sober James. Okay?” Y/n said in a slightly now shaky voice.
“Peter, Remus, Sirius. Help me get him up to your dormitory.” The girl asked standing up with James also standing up leaning almost all of his wait on her. The three boys did as asked helping her. They got up to the dormitories laying James in his bed.
“Cuddles?” James asked reaching out and grabbing Y/n’s hand. The other three had already walked out.
“I can’t stay up here. I have to go back to my dormitory.” Y/n tried to tell him but he just pouted at her letting go of her hand and crossing his arms.
She noticed this obviously and felt bad so she gave in. “Fine. Only tonight.” She said getting into the bed with James.
She never thought this would happen like this if it ever had happened.
“Good.” James said mumbling throwing his arm around her waist nuzzling his face into her neck. Her breathing hitched but eventually calmed down and they both fell asleep.
The next morning James woke up yawning with a pounding headache. He then noticed the girl beside him sleeping peacefully. Y/n. He started to freak out.
“Vix? Vixen?” He said quietly shaking the girl awake. The girl swatted his hand away slowly sitting up.
“What happened last night?” James asked her frantically worrying that they did something they’d both regret.
“Don’t worry James. It wasn’t anything like that. But, you did get drunk as hell.” Y/n told him. “What… what did I do? Why are you in my bed with me?” James managed to get out.
“Remus had came to me saying you were calling for me. You um… said you were in love with me? We all got you up here and you wanted cuddles and wouldn’t stop pouting until you got them.” Y/n explained slowly and softly.
“Oh..” James said red in the face with horror in his expression. “Do you.. not feel the same?” James asking putting his head down in embarrassment.
“Prongs. If I didn’t feel the same I wouldn’t have cuddled with you.” Y/n told him admitting her own feelings now causing James to shoot his head up quickly with a smile which quickly turned into a frown because of his headache.
“Be careful. You’re going to have a massive headache today.” She said to him with a slight chuckle.
“Can I kiss you?” James asked quietly to which Y/n nodded.
James wasted no time after that and kissed Y/n who instantly kissed back.
It was short and sweet but it was enough for the both of them who were relieved that they admitted their feelings to each other finally.

june 9 - lip gloss - @jegulus-microfic - word count: 234
James had never been the cheeky one in their relationship. It had always been Regulus who sneaked kisses, snaking his arm around James’s waist. He had never had to be sneaky because romantic was second nature to him. Every kiss and embrace was never hidden, but shown off as if it were a trophy on display.
But when Regulus began taking beauty tips from Mary, James couldn’t help but want to be sneaky.
“Stare any harder and I think you’ll blow holes into my face,” Regulus taunted, not even looking back as he healed his inner child with the makeup he got from Mary.
James shook himself out of his very interesting thoughts, watching in a mesmerized state. Regulus opened the lip gloss container, smearing some of the glittery fluid on his soft, kissable lips. “Can I have some?”
Regulus glanced over, holding up the container with raised brows. “Of this?”
James nodded eagerly, hoping he didn’t look too mischievous (he did). Regulus walked over, leaning down to apply some on James’s full lips. “No, not like that..”
And with that sentiment, James leaned up to press his lips against Regulus’s. A soft gasp left his boyfriend’s lips as James pulled away with a cheeky grin.
“You’re lucky you’re attractive, darling. Otherwise I would’ve been livid for you ruining my makeup.”
The two of them laughed together, making the atmosphere bright with the feeling.

i believe bartylus was really toxic in a way they suffered a lot during it. they had fights, they fucked a lot instead of solving their problems, it was like playing with fire all the time. neither of them win in any argument, they always ended up in bed and it eventually drained them really fast and then they had an awful break up, trying to stay as friends but neither of them was in the right mindset. evan, pandora and dorcas + james played a big role in trying to gain their friendship back. evan was barty's rock whereas james was the person who caught regulus while he was falling in a pit of madness.
james grounded regulus, he taught him how to love and how to talk. he didn't let regulus when he tried to avoid a fight or trying to fuck instead of fighting. he made him sit down and even yelled at him saying "i don't care if you cry or scream at me. you are not leaving this room until we solve this problem." he was persistent, regulus was stubborn as fuck. he didn't think talking would do any good but it did and he saw it. james gained his trust and earned his love bit by bit, he didn't shy away when regulus started shit talking to him to make him give up. he didn't give up, he shout back but he made his point across in the end. the way he never give up on regulus made him stay. regulus learned how to talk, learned to communicate. he learned to show his feelings more and be more open w them. it was hard and maybe it was always going to be hard but it didn't matter. he knew james was there and he was always gonna be there for him.
evan was the best person to heal barty. he was sneaky abt it, he even gaslighted barty into thinking "oh he is just in his usual self, i think i'm changing bcuz i suffered so much" when in fact evan was doing all the work. he knew forcing barty into anything would backfire any minute. he needed his insane friend and he got it. evan was there, in every room he stepped into and every places he went, evan was there and he always had his hand back on his shoulder. barty didn't even realize he was healing, he was learning to talk. evan did the all work yes, but after some time barty started to talk, he started to talk abt the things that mattered, the things that needed to be solved. he needed to move on from the things he held onto, and he did. it was painfully slow, he saw jegulus here and there. he heard abt them getting together and while they were trying to mend their friendship w regulus he still got hurt by them but it didn't stink like it would before. he counted on evan and he become the only clear thing in his crowded mind.
after some time it got better, bartylus got used to see each other w other people. they had to move on from each other, and they did. they couldn't do it together but at some point they still could manage to talk and got their closure. they promised each other they would never harm their friendship and they did that. they survived their relationship.
it was hard but it eventually passed and they moved on

Prompt 2 - Piercing
Seriously, why do I do this to myself 🤦🏻‍♀️ Tiny little mini Inci Winci series incoming.
@jegulus-microfic December 2, Word count 192
First part
James Potter’s voice had been piercing in the otherwise silent corridor. For four years, Regulus had been using the secret tunnel beneath the statue to sneak into Hogsmeade and not once had anyone even had the slightest suspicion, and now his brother’s best friend had spotted him. This would get back to Sirius before Regulus made it back to his dorm room.
James came striding over and hooked an arm around Regulus’s shoulders.
“Been on a little stroll, have you Regulus?” James asked conversationally as if he hadn’t just caught him sneaking back into school.
“And what’s it to you if I have?” Regulus sneered, trying to escape James's heavy arm and failing. James grinned at him happily, and wrapped his arm tighter around him, pulling Regulus tight against his side.
“Just never thought you had it in you. It’s nice to know you have a rebellious side,” James let him go and disappeared into the wall. Regulus stared at the empty space beside him and thought over the strange interaction as he made his way back to the dungeons, sucking on a sugar quill. James Potter was a seriously strange boy.

Woke up this morning thinking about virgin james
Having an amazing day so far
yoooo you just re-awakened something in my brain anon
he’s suuuch a virgin and regulus is soo experienced and a sneaky little bastard and he makes james lean back against the headboard and tells him to hold on and not let go, be a good boy for him, and james just moans pathetically at what the words do to him. thick cock twitching where he’s hard against his stomach. and regulus starts licking and biting and nibbling along his thighs and tells james to keep watching every time his eyes slip shut. and it’s too much but also not enough cause regulus is right there between his legs, giggling warm puffs of breath over james’ leaking cock and always coming close and parting his lips only to dart away and focus on another patch of skin. he gets so frustrated, whining and tearing up but eventually regulus starts sucking marks into the soft skin along his inner thigh and he hums like it’s a tasty fucking cake and james can feel the vibration and before he knows james is cuming all over himself, stomach rippling, cock kicking with white spurts if his release and regulus hums happily. james watches stupidly, mind all dizzy as reg dips in a finger and sticks it into his mouth, blinking up at james from under his lashes, mouth all red and swollen…………

curfew - January 28 - jegulus - @taylorswiftmicrofic - word count: 297
Regulus wanted to scream. It was the seventh time he had, while on his Prefect rounds, come across James Potter. And not only did the older boy seem completely unabashed at getting caught, he seemed happy about it!
“Potter,” he gritted out, walking up to the sixth-year, who was sitting on a bench and swinging his feet, “have you no concept of curfew?”
“I mean, I know what it means,” the older boy grinned, eyes shining. “I just chose to ignore it.”
“Damn the consequences, then?” Regulus griped, crossing his arms. He tried not to think about how insufferably good Potter looked sitting there, so at ease, his hair windswept and a smile on his face. “You must have had to sit through a million detentions by now.” He knew Potter had been given at least a few, seeing as he’d written the boy up himself.
“Eh, detentions can be enjoyable if you know how to make them so,” Potter smirked and Regulus’s heart skipped a beat. “Plus, I get caught less often than you think.”
The Slytherin snorted. “Potter, I’ve caught you every single time I go on rounds. You’re not exactly sneaky.” Because yes, Potter was good-looking, but he didn’t seem to be that sly.
But the older boy just chuckled. “Oh, Black. What makes you think I didn’t want to be caught?”
Still grinning, the Gryffindor then pulled out a silvery piece of fabric, slipping it over his head and completely disappearing. “What the bloody hell..” Regulus whispered, mouth agape.
Before he could properly process what had happened, though, a voice whispered close to his ear, “See you on Thursday, Reggie.”
And indeed, Thursday was the next time he had rounds. He couldn’t decide if he was dreading it or looking forward to it.

IDEK what to say about this
After a few shots of vodka, my roommates and I came up with a chaotic fancast for the marauders. I have notes but there's literally no context besides random shit written down and I figure it would be criminal to not share this absolute trainwreck with everyone so here it is... Chaotic Marauder Fancast brought to you by drunken thoughts.
Marauders
Tom Hiddleston as Sirius Black
Tom Hiddleston would be a good option to play Sirius Black. He has the capability of having a boyish attitude and sass that Sirius has become known for. Also, Adam. Nuff said.
Tumblr media
Rami Malek as James Potter
Look at him. He also has the capability of coming up with that sass and attitude. Imagine him riding a broomstick in a quidditch uniform and that is all.
Tumblr media
Robert Sheehan as Remus Lupin
This man could play all of the characters, but he is best suited for Remus Lupin. Unkempt look but in an attractive way. Looks like he could be a werewolf. A lot of the same Remus Lupin mannerisms.
Tumblr media
Andrew Scott as Peter Pettigrew
A short little Irish man with a very good skill for acting a villain that's cunning and sneaky and that's why he would be a good option. He would be a very good actor to portray the change from friend to enemy.
Tumblr media
Slytherin Skittles
Aidan Gallagher as Regulus Black
Aidan Gallagher has the capability to play an angsty character who's a little bit evil and a little bit good all rolled into one. He's also just got the look and the vibe that Regulus is kind of become known for.
Tumblr media
David Tennant as Barty Crouch Jr.
This is partially because when he played Barty in the 4th movie, he didn't get nearly enough screen time in my opinion but the other part of it is because, after watching lots of his filmography, I seriously can't think of anyone better to play it. Unfortunately we would need to make him like 30 years younger and we don't have a time machine.
Tumblr media
Michael Sheen as Evan Rosier
I told you it would be chaotic. Maybe it's because I can't see David Tennant without Michael Sheen anymore after GO and Staged but he's also quite similar to Evan in my mind and I think he would play the character very well. Unfortunately... still no time machine tho.
Tumblr media
Lisa Kudrow as Pandora Rosier
I mean I was watching Friends and she kinda just stuck out to me and that is why she is now Pandora. I think Lisa has the capability to play someone as wonderful, beautiful and quirky as Pandora. Also I think it would be so sweet and interesting to watch Michael and Lisa play siblings.
Tumblr media
Valkyries
(I will admit and say that I don't know nearly enough about the Valkyries so my roommates were the ones that came up these)
Florence Pugh as Marlene McKinnon
I don't really think this one needs explaining but I do think she would be best to play Marlene McKinnon. She's got a fabulous look that would suit Marlene well especially with the fanart seen of her. I mean just look at her.
Tumblr media
Nina Sosanya as Dorcas Meadowes
Nina's got the spunk and the attitude that Dorcas has. Mainly pulling from her performance in both GO1 and GO2, I think she is just the most fitting to play Dorcas and would act very well alongside David and Michael (as we've seen) but I think would act very well alongside Florence and Robert.
Tumblr media
Emmy Raver-Lampman as Mary MacDonald
Has the capability to play a sweet character but could turn deadly and horrible in 0.5 seconds and that's stunning for her and would work very well for Mary. Also the depths from her pain and everything of her friends dying and then eventually obliviating her memory.
Tumblr media
Scarlett Johansson as Lily Evans
Scarlett has the attitude of Lily Evans in real life and honestly she would be stunning. I could totally see James falling in love with Lily if she looked like Scarlett which is one of the main reasons we've cast her as Lily.
Tumblr media
Now, we all think that the original fancast that is the most popular is perfect and stunning. This is just some brainrot. Anyway, that is all.

i was wandering life unaware and unbothered until i saw lovely @royalthorned post about regulus and rabastan and my life hasn’t been the same since. i could never before really see regulus with anybody because it just felt ooc for the way that i view him but rabastan ???…yeah, yeah actually.
rabastan is an awful little thing, all bark and no bite, arrogant, loud in a wanna-be sophisticated way and has a black-and-white superficial, liberal view of life. he does lots of things but never too seriously, he’s impulsive but seldom for good reasons but one thing that he fully is, is himself. maybe he is just too simple-minded to lie, manipulate, and cheat or maybe that’s just how he is, but he is quite probably as honest and true as one can be in his context. he is awful at what he doesn’t do but good enough about what he does, so everyone is content with him. rabastan is the epitome of a Lestrange, he is loyal to an absolute fault and though no one is close in the family, blood is all. and he stands on their motto more than he stands on anything “Corvus oculum corvi non eruit” ( a crow will not pull out the eye of another crow ). he has the charisma and tone of an heir but everyone is glad he is not. he’s chaotic and anger-driven. when his temper becomes uncontrollable he recluses himself to sculpt. ( idk why but i’m convinced all Lestranges have an affinity with art and where rabastan sculpts, rodolphus plays instruments and composes )
regulus on the other hand is hard-headed, sneaky, and far too smart for his own good. and he somehow now had the thick and unwavering attention of the second son of the Lestranges. to rabastan, regulus was the most interesting being he had laid eyes on. a pretty and scrawny man who held all the power he could ever want and chose instead to read stupidly long books about things no one knows about and write equally long manuscripts about things no one could ever think of ( regulus who plays out experiments in his books is dear to me ). he was a ghost who acted all proper and well, and roamed the halls of the black manor. he had the answer to every question, and had everyone tightly wrapped around his finger, and believed in a god everyone faked at hearing, and held grudges like an old victorian lady, and remembered everything all the time, and rabastan wanted nothing more than for that god-sent, angel looking boy to see him too.  he had never really tried to get anyone’s attention, always receiving it with little effort, but with regulus he was desperate.
they first met in a family gathering, humble conversation found its way through loud speeches and ceremonial family rites. it was a quiet thing, sweet and poisonous. to regulus rabastan was the forbidden fruit, the epitome of what he couldn’t do but needed to try. some sort of sinful desire he had succumbed to. his life was tidy and plain, and rabastan was the chaos that kept him on his toes wrapped in luxurious clothes, and shiny smiles, and elicited in him a morbid interest he couldn’t shake. i think he liked to know he had with no effort on his part the complete attention of someone like that.
this one is for you Irene @katakosmos

James Potter x Slytherin!Fem!Reader!
Summary: In which you grow close with the Marauders and you encounter someone who you never wanted to see again
Warnings: Mention of knife, torture, blood, crying, yelling, swearing
Previous Part Series Masterlist
───※ ·❆· ※───
It had been a few months since the night you had spilled all your secrets and cried in James' arms. Over the course of those few months, you had grown close with all the boys. Remus and you had always shared a bond, but now you just got the chance to spend more time together. Peter and you were not that close. He was rarely around and if he was there, he was super quiet, his eyes fretting about. Sirius and you had become friends. Sirius, after having witnessed you were truly an angel, who made cheeky remarks every now and then, had become close to you, and you two had been able to relate about your childhood experiences. Sirius was also very thankful to you that you had given Regulus the love he had never been able to. And then there was James.
He was so full of chatter and cheeky expressions that you found him utterly adorable. Your heart would begin to race and butterflies would erupt in your stomach when your hands brushed, or when James subconsciously wrapped an arm around your shoulders. You would feel your cheeks heat up whenever he winked at you or shot you a teasing smile.
However, you felt yourself done for whenever he called you 'love.'
Remus would send you a smirk whenever this happened to which you would scowl at him. He knew as much as you knew.
You were feeling something more than friends for James.
However, you tried to push it down but it was futile. You knew James had become a friend but he would never become anything more than that, after all you two weren't even friends a few months back. Besides, you were too broken and full of inner demons to be loved. You didn’t know how you would handle such affection from someone anyways.
However James viewed you as if you were the sun, as if you were the stars. James Potter felt you were just different and out of this world. Although the young Potter thought this was all because of the newfound friendship, the truth was far from that.
But the blindfold would be soon removed from James’ eyes as the war would bring another casualty.
Late one summer evening, Dumbledore had assigned Fabian and Gideon Prewett as the ones leading the latest mission.
The mission?
Protect the muggles from an upcoming attack in their neighborhood.
Which is why you, along with the majority of the Order, found yourselves scattered amongst a small and quiet Muggle neighbourhood during the dark of the night. The crescent moon was out, shining down as the countless stars glittered and dazzled. There was a light breeze that travelled through your hair as the comforting sounds of chirping crickets filled your ears. Along with the James’, your partner’s, calm humming, to what song, you had no clue.
You glanced at him and smiled, watching as the young Potter was in his own little world, as he hummed while a soft smile sat on his lips, his hands tucked into his pockets as he walked in stride with you.
“You know, staring is rude, L/n.”
Your cheeks flushed at the sudden comment as James grinned teasingly, turning his head to look down at you. Lucky for you, it was dark enough that James couldn’t see your red cheeks.
“Sod off, Potter. You sound way too cocky, I think all those years with Sirius didn’t do you good.” You answered with a smirk.
James threw his head back and let out a deep chuckle.
“You’re a sneaky little thing, love.”
And there it was again.
Love.
You winked up at him with a grin. James opened his mouth to speak-
“Expelliarmus!”
Your wand immediately flew out of your hand, landing somewhere out of sight as James grabbed your hand, pulling you close to him as he whipped out his wand from the inner pocket of his jacket.
Two dark masked figures appeared in front of you. A hand latched into your forearm, violently pulling you and your hand lost its grip on James’. You let out a yelp at the sudden action and as James whipped around in alarm, you watched his eyes widened just a millisecond before something cold and thin pressed against your throat.
“Well, well, dearest Y/n, it has been a while hasn’t it?”
Your whole being filled with terror at the chilling but familiar voice.
“Let her go, you bastard!” James shouted, taking a step in your direction.
You hissed as the blade was pushed into your skin, and you felt a drop of blood begin to trickle down your throat.
James’ face immediately went pale and he froze.
“That’s it, Potter, stay still now shall we? And everything will be fine.”
The blade came off and you were harshly turned around only to find yourself staring into the cold and murderous eyes of your older brother, Alexander. You stared him down with deep hatred.
“You son of a bitch!”
“Tut, tut, now that is no way to greet your brother now is it?” He spoke in a calm but deadly voice, mocking you endlessly like always.
“You don’t deserve my manners.” You gritted out.
You whined as Alexander grabbed and yanked your hair. James let out a cry of protest.
“You’ve gotten some guts after running away, haven’t you filthy blood traitor?” He said, harshly grabbing your face. He thrust you down onto the ground.
“Let’s see if you still have the power to go through this- Crucio!”
You let out a blood curdling scream as your body felt on fire, as if knives and needles were cutting into your whole being. James let out a cry, watching you writhe on the ground in pain as Alexander looked down upon you with a wicked grin.
“STOP IT!”
Alexander looked up from you to James and waved his wand, making you go quiet as the spell lifted. You were left panting heavily on the ground as your body felt beyond tired and tears raced down your cheeks.
“Y/n…” James uttered hollowly, he quickly moved forth and bent down by your side, gently cupping your face so you could look at him.
“James?” You breathed out, feeling a bit disoriented.
“Aw, quite the love you both share now don’t you?” Your brother’s menacing voice rang out, “Why let one person have all the fun?”
You jolted up as you heard James drop by you, screaming at the top of his lungs. You tried to grab him but he was too lost within the pain to realize. You sharply turned to look at Alexander, who was already watching you with his sinister smile.
“Stop it!” You cried, tears racing down your cheeks, “Stop it, please!” You begged, looking back at James and shutting your eyes in pain from the sight. The screams stopped and you opened your eyes to see the unforgivable had been lifted. You repeated what James had done only mere minutes before with you.
“James.”
The young Potter slowly sat up, cupping your face as well, “Are you alright?” You nodded.
“And you?”
“I think so.”
A mocking laugh filled the air. “What a lovely little scene here!” He practically cackled, “Oh but we will need to end it,” And the Slytherin raised his wand again to cast a spell.
“No!” You shouted, watching as your brother’s eyes widened on you, almost as if he knew. “Leave James alone. You want me, you can do whatever you want to me, but please for the love of Merlin, leave James alone.”
Alexander gazed back at you with what seemed to be a triumphant expression, as his plan was working exactly as he wanted.
“Y/n-“
“As you wish. You two,” Alexander barked at the other two death eaters, “Grab Potter, make sure he can’t play any tricks.”
Before James could react, the remaining two hooded figures grabbed James harshly, pulling him away from you. James began to thrash around and resist.
You were pushed back onto the pavement hard, as your brother kneeled beside you, brandishing his knife.
“This should be fun.”
He put the blade to your forearm and began to slice the layers of skin, earning cries of pain from you as he held you down with his other hand.
“Y/N!” James shouted out in anguish. He began to thrash around harder to set himself free, however the grip of the two death eaters on him was quite tight. James sobbed as he watched that cruel and vile person pierce into your beautiful skin. James sobbed harder at your cries of pain.
Alexander tortured you slowly and deliberately, relishing in your screams and cries.
“Now do you regret having turned against us?” The older Slytherin barked at you.
You sobbed, watching him through watery eyes.
“No.”
His victorious smile vanished as his face hardened. He swiftly stood up and shouted, “Crucio!”
You let out a blood curdling scream once again, as wave upon wave of unbearable pain hit you, over and over again.
Suddenly the spell was lifted as you cried curled in on yourself. You were too lost within your mind and pain to have realized that Remus and Sirius had managed to make their way to your and James’ part of the neighborhood, followed by the Prewett twins. They all worked together and overpowered Alexander and his allies, while James immediately rushed over to you.
James felt his heart shatter over and over again at the sound of your every scream, of every pained breath, of every anguished cry.
James’ hands shook as he grabbed you, pulling your injured body to him, hugging your head to his chest.
“I’m here, Y/n/n, I’m here.” He spoke as he tried to gather you up in his arms to take you back for treatment.
You spoke very quietly, your eyelids barely open as you tried to look at him.
“It hurts so bad, James.”
James swallowed the sob wanting to escape. He had to be strong for you.
“I know, love, but I promise you it will get better once I get you to the medical team, yeah?”
You didn’t respond, too wrapped inside yourself to give an answer back but James began to really panic as he apparated back to Headquarters. He was met with the medical team, which was led by Lily. Her eyes widened upon seeing your bloody and unconscious body in James’ arms, getting a strong sense of deja vu.
“Lay her in her room.” Lily immediately ordered and followed James, waving her wand which levitated the supplies she needed, which whizzed behind her.
James gently laid you on your own bed, watching with a dry mouth as every breath you took pained your body. Oh how could he let this happen to someone as sweet and loving as you? What if something happens to you, what would he do?
James kneeled by your bedside, holding your limp hand between his two, leaning his forehead on the clasped hands.
“Please be alright, love.” James cried, “I can’t lose you.”
And suddenly, the thought of losing you for good scared him so bad that he came to a new conclusion entirely, shocking him wholly.
Oh Merlin, James Potter was in love.
James Potter was in love with Y/n L/n.
