I love love love Regulus being a terrifying little gremlin creature who scares the shit out of everyone constantly while Sirius is just there like 'awh, look at you, that's the perfect little baby angel I raised'

This is more specifically in modern aus where they're a few years further apart and their parents work constantly so it's actually plausible that Sirius was forced into the role of raising him (I'm thinking about 5/6 years or smth)

He'll show up to the function, in detail describe the many ways he could kill and hide James, Remus, and Peter's bodies so nobody could ever find them, stare silently, then Sirius would come over and hug him like 'reg, you made it! it's so good to see you all happy and willing to talk to people, look at you, you're so sweet' while the other three are like 😰

I always imagined that although Sirius defied Walburga in many ways, Regulus also had a bit of that rebel in him.

When Sirius and Regulus were young, Walburga never let them have anything sweet. She wanted them to look good all the time and meet the standards of the Noble and Ancient House of Black. Whenever they even tried to secretly get any type of sweet from Kreature, she would end up knowing and always get extremely angry.

Although Sirius defied her as soon as he sat on the train to Hogwarts, he ended up disliking the first candy he tried and never tried it again. (Bertie Botts every flavour beans)

However, Regulus, being the rebel he is, started to keep a huge stash of all types of candy hidden in his room where not even Barty or Evan could find it. It has every candy you could even think of. He especially keeps candies that all his friends liked. Regulus would also be the one to introduce a good candy to Sirius which would make him start liking candies too. 

Regulus would also keep candies in his pockets, with each day of the week having a different type of candy. He would also try and bribe people with candy every now and then.

Barty and James becoming besties after James and Reggie got together is an iconic thing to happen

especially at the point when really only the skittles know about the relationship, so noone has a clue that Barty and James are a duo

and then when they're seen helping each other with an injury half of Hogwarts loses their shit (because come on, Barty? and James?? being friends???)

the other half doesn't believe it until they see James dragging Barty away from a fight so he wouldn't get a detention and Barty actually letting him do so

meanwhile Sirius is having a stroke trying to figure out when the hell did James befriended Barty Crouch Jr. of all people
