I hadn't considered the dynamic of caregiver Dustin to regressed Steve but I love it

I like the idea of it starting with Dustin walking in on regressed Steve who starts freaking out because Dustin has been pretty generally condescending lately and he's afraid he'll make fun of him

(Steve doesn't necessarily have to be regressed alone for the scenario. In fact since it's harder to explain away if someone's babying you than if you're just coloring or something, it might cause a larger freak out. But I think it can go either way)

yes!!!! and steve shouts at dustin to “get out!! get out get out!!” & when dustin doesn’t, steve just hides his face behind his teddy, blushing hard, wishing he could sink into the ground…

but dustin sits next to him and says softly “hey, what’s up, buddy? it’s okay. you don’t have to hide.”

steve slowly peeks out from behind teddy. his lower lip quivers. “embarrassin’,” he mumbles, stumbling over the syllables.

“no, no, it’s not embarrassing. you don’t have to be embarrassed. it’s nothing to be ashamed of, you know?” dustin puts a hand on steve’s back.

& from then on, whenever steve starts to feel small, he calls up dustin.

and imagine if dustin was the first person to find out about steve’s regression! but maybe he already knew what regression was because *eddie* also regressed. and then dustin kind of gets them together and sets them up on playdates, and they’re just the cutest little kiddos.

He was about to call out to Steve and ask him if lunch was almost ready but when he was about to step under the archway and into the kitchen...

The kids jump out and yell in his face, Max is wearing her Michael Myers mask adding to the effect.

Eddie yelps out at runs back to the living room and into Robins arms, tears running down his face.

"What happened Eds?" Robin asked him, very concerned.

"Scawy!" Eddie managed to sob out.

Steve who was standing in the kitchen making sandwiches saw the whole thing.

The kids came shuffling into the living room with Steve on their heels.

They all looked a bit guilty as they looked at Eddie crying in Robins arms.

"Go on" Steve says as he moves to stand next to Eddie and Robin, he takes up his mom stance.

"Listen Eddie we're sorry" Mike starts.

"Yeah we didn't mean to scary you dude" Dustin continues.

"We won't do it again" from Max.

"Promise" Lucas finishes.

Steve sighs and looks down at Eddie whose tears are drying on his face.

"What do you say baby?" Steve crouches next to the couch and wipes Eddies cheeks.

The kids rush forward and before Eddie knows what's going on their all hugging and piled on top of Eddie and he wouldn't have it any other way.

Eddie waves his soft block at Dustin, the block makes a light jingling noise as he waves it wildly at his babysitter.

"I'm comin I'm comin" Dustin says as he hurries into the living room with Eddies snack of cherrios.

Eddie spits out his pacifier as Dustin sets the snack down on the coffee table.

Eddie munches on his cereal and throws a bit around while Dustin washes his pacifier for him.

"Dus?" Eddie slurs his speech impacted heavily when regressed so small.

"Yeah little guy?" Dustin asked already having an idea as to what Eddie was going to ask him.

"Tubbies?" Eddie asked giving puppy dog eyes.

"Of course lemme grab the tape" Dustin said as he turned to walk down the hall and grab the tape from Eddies room.

They popped the tape into the vhs and the tv started to play some happy music as colors danced around in screen.

Eddie was clapping his hand and giggling at whatever the characters were saying, he was happy and safe and thats all that mattered for now.

Dustin ran their fingers through Eddies hair as he slept on his lap.

Steve entered the trailer and Dustin quickly shushed him pointing down at the sleeping Eddie with wide eyes.

Steve nodded and came over to them, he kissed Eddies forehead and went to change into pyjamas.

Once he was done he returned and scooped Eddie up in his arms.

Eddie stirred but didn't wake up.

"You can stay the night if you want, it's kinda late and im sure Eddie won't mind" Steve whispered.

"Yeah but I'm not sure the couch is big enough and what about Eddies uncle" Dustin whispered back.

"You could sleep in the bed with us there should be enough room" Steve suggested.

Eddie stirred again and started to wake up, Steve gently bounched him and shushed him when he started to whine.

"Hey Eds is it okay if Dustin sleeps in the bed with us?" Steve wanted to make sure Eddie was comfortable before doing anything, Eddie nodded.

"Mor s'ggle" Eddie replied around his pacifier.

Steve laughed a bit.

"That settles it then, come on i think Eddie has some extra pyjama shorts you can borrow"

He heard shuffling from inside and a few seconds later the door swung open to reveal an exasperated Dustin.

"He might just want someone to cuddle with while he takes a nap, it's that or his blankets aren't put the right way"

"I haven't touched his blankets and i don't really feel comfortable cuddling with him like that" Dustin said looking a bit embarrassed at the second part.

"Don't worry it took me a bit to feel comfortable napping with him too" Steve replied as he stepped into the trailer.

"There's my handsome little man" Steve cooed at Eddie while he was playing with his blocks on the floor.

"Papa!" Eddie giggled up at the man.

"Are you ready for some cuddles?" Steve asked picking up the mentally younger.

"Uh huhs" Eddie nodded burying his head in Steves neck.

Dustin had moved back into the kitchen to reheat the bottle he made Eddie earlier and handed it to Steve when he was standing in the doorway tp Eddies room.

"Thanks" Steve said.

"Have a nice cuddle session with your papa ok?" Dustin kissed Eddie on the forehead before Steve turned to get into bed with him.

Summary: Dustin stays after hellfire to help Eddie cleanup but Eddie was feeling little during their game

"Hey man you got it?" Eddie asks Dustin while handing him a folding chair.

"Yeah im good just focus on getting your minifigs and stuff together"

Eddie hummed at him and turned to the table to pack up his stuff, He took a deep breath to try and stay big.

He had started slipping during the second half of their session.

He knew dustin was a little and that he'd support him but he didn't want to force Dustin into a caregiver role if he wasn't comfortable.

He started grabbing his dice to put back in his dice bag.

When he shoved the small velvet pouch into his backpack his hand brushed his little bag and he felt himself let out a small whine, wanting the comfort of his pacifier.

"You okay dude?" Dustin was standing closer than Eddie realized and heard his whine.

"Yeah just tired" Eddie said trying to convince himself as much as he was Dustin.

Eddie was carrying the box with all his mini figures and the map to the door of the room so they could fold the table up and put it away when Eddie tripped.

Instantly this sent him the rest of the way into littlespace. He started to hiccup as tears pricked his eyes.

Dustin rushed over when he heard Eddie crying.

"Hey what happened?" Dustin tried asking but Eddie was crying too hard to answer, instead he pointed to his knees that took the brunt of the fall.

Dustin could see slight redness through the rips in his jeans.

"Hey little guy can you tell me how old you are?" Dustin asked gently.

Eddie held up four fingers, Dustin nodded in understanding.

Dustin rushed over to Eddies backpack looking for something. Once he found what he was looking for he kneeled next to Eddie again.

He pulled out a pacifier from the small bag he was holding and offered it to Eddie.

With the help of the pacifier his tears were reduced to small sniffles.

Dustin pulled out a small puzzle cube to keep Eddie busy and finished packing up.

Once he was done he carefully lead Eddie through the halls and out to Steves car.

"What took you so long" Steve started to say but stopped when he saw the pacifier in Eddies mouth.

Dustin climbed into the backseat with Eddie and let them lean on him while Steve drove them home

Summary: Steve, Eddie and Nancy are babysitting Max and Dustin while they're regressed and Eddie starts to slip.

A knock echos through Eddies trailer signalling that Nancy, Max and Dustin have arrived. Eddies place has become a bit of a safe haven for the littles in the group with Eddie being one himself and having privacy in the evening.

"Hey guys come on in" Eddie greets with a smile

First Max shuffles in, She's wearing a pair of denim overall shorts with a purple three quarter sleeve shirt underneath and a pair of white knee high socks with blue hi tops and a yellow backpack.

Next Dustin enters wearing a pair of knee length loose shorts with a shirt that has an image of two dinosaurs with their necks in the shape of a heart as well as his usual white sneakers.

Lastly Nancy enters wearing a maxi skirt and a tee shirt with the name of some collage on it, She's carrying a light blue diaper bag.

"Hey I hope we're not too late"

"No you guys are right on time" Steve says as he enters with a platter of snacks that he promptly sets on the coffee table.

Max and Dustin scurry over to see what snacks Steve made and are disappointed when they see vegetables and crackers instead of cookie and snack cakes.

"Don't worry you guys I'll get you the good stuff later" Eddie stage whispers to the two littles.

"You will do no such thing Eddie, If they eat all that sugar it will be impossible to get them to bed" Nancy scolds Eddie, Steve nodding in agreement.

"But mama vegetables are gross" Max says looking to nancy with puppy dog eyes.

Nancy sighs "fine you can have one snack cake each, Not one package one cake"

----------time skip------------------

Max and Dustin sit on the floor playing with toys with the mixtape Eddie made for regressing on in the background.

Steve is playing with Eddies hair while the older is laying on him and Nancy is sitting on the opposite end of the couch reading a book.

Eddie is finding it difficult to stay big with Steve gently rubbing his scalp and the soft music playing.

Steve starts getting up to get some water and Eddie whines and pushes further into him.

Steve shushes him and gets their water, He puts Eddies in a no-spill cup, When Steve returns to the living room he's met with a grumpy expression on Eddies face.

"'m not little" He says referring to the cup.

"It's the only clean cup" Steve lies and Eddie doesn't question it.

Eddie seems to be slipping further by the moment and Steve notices.

"Hey Eds? Why don't we get you changed into something more comfortable yeah?" Eddie doesn't fight it this time and lets himself be led into his bedroom so Steve can help him change clothes.

Setev changes him into a pair of shorts like Dustins and a band shirt soft from washing.

Steve grabs Eddies teether and a few toys from the bin he keeps them in and leads him back out to the living room.

"Yay Eds pway with us!" Max says and Dustin cheers.
