This April Fools, I thought it was only fitting that I finally share the greatest powerpoint I ever made while working a mentally and physically draining fulltime retail job at 18. This is my pride and joy. I hope you enjoy <3
(the experience of reading this here will never live up to all of my fun little slide transitions but i included the blank slide to slightly allude to it)

so i am in discord servers for various groups at my uni, one of which i am the vice president of starting this fall, and every time i make a new status i am painfully Aware that I have to be careful lest anyone in one of those groups sees and goes Huh. What
#aka i really really wanted to make my discord status 'it's hip to fuck bees' as a reference to that. one video#but i fear that may............. raise brows#so. i just have the first half of that. with a bee emoji.#anyone who knows will know. anyone who doesn't know. well they won't be harmed by it#there was one time i said something in one of these servers and one of the people in it dm'd me just to send me#one of the homophobic dog images. u know. the ''i know what you are'' one.#and that honestly terrified me a little bit HSDLGKJSHDG WHAT DO YOU KNOW. PLEASE. THAT'S SO SCARY FROM A STRANGER#THAT VERY WELL MAY SEE ME REGULARLY IRL.#i know this is a problem i could fix via nitro but i'm not doing that. sorry#i choose to live in fear instead#clamtalk

ok i know i keep bitching about my sister but. now i think she might be kinda. fetishizing bisexual people
#zambling (zach rambling)#she was reading a book which BY THE WAY HAD GRAPHIC SEX SCENES IN IT#and one of the characters was bi#but my sister said that as âuh she like fucked both girls and boys soâ and did that laugh with the like. hip drop? idk#and this has kinda been a trend where she refers to bi people as âpeople who fuck boys and girlsâ#and has said in reference to gay men âbet i could make them straightâ#which. arenât jokes in the first place. but even though she says sheâs joking it really doesnât feel like it

apologies for infrequent art btw iâve had stuff going on but hereâs a tummy study i was working on the other day :D
#slinkyâs sketches#surprisingly hard to find refs of people twisting like this and NOT covering their torso w their arms etc#so i ended up sitting in front a mirror shirtless to fill in the gaps lol#like that one small fold near the hip bone#barely refrained from also giving it scars to go fully self indulgent#anyways expect more regular schedule in uh. like a week and a half#torsos are one of my favorite parts of the body to draw tbh. unfortunate itâs so hard to find reference where the model ISNT flexing#like cmon guys. not here to see your washboard abs iâm here to see the human form. chill#not sure if i should tag this as anything itâs p tame#tell me if u want me to :]

People should draw fat faces, fat necks, and fat arms more often. I see drawings of fat characters or weight gain sequences and the arms and faces stay inexplicably thin (or like the slightest little double chin on a 500+lbs character). I love thick double chins and big plush arms as much as I love bellies and hips and thighs, and it makes me sad that they're left out of fat art.
#plus I feel like there's some implicit fatphobia there...#it's basically the same shit people who only like âthiccâ girls do#except adding a fat belly on top of the thick thighs wide hips and tig bitties#if you don't like every part of the fat body do you really like the fat body#if you don't know how to draw fat faces or arms - learn#there's plenty of references in this community so there's really no excuse to be drawing fat people with thin arms and faces#tempted to go through other people's drawings and modify them to add fat faces and arms but that seems like a dick move#guess I'll have to make more of my own fat guy drawings lmao#anyway

If someone is prefers their partners be smaller/skinnier than them, and theyâre talking about why theyâre attracted to someone or what they enjoy about those partners, theyâre probably going to talk about picking that person up, or when that person wears their oversized clothes, or how easy it is to put their arms completely around that person. That isnât inherently fetishizing or dehumanizing, itâs how physical attraction works.
If someone prefers their partners be notably muscular, and theyâre talking about why theyâre attracted to someone or what they enjoy about those partners, theyâre probably going to talk about that personâs physical capability, and bear hugs, and being picked up or moved around. That isnât inherently fetishizing or dehumanizing, itâs how physical attraction works.
If someone prefers their partners be fat, and theyâre talking about why theyâre attracted to someone or what they enjoy about those partners, theyâre probably going to talk about the fact that that person is fat. They are going to talk about soft tummies and soft thighs. They are going to talk about cuddles, and the soft squishy body, and the characteristics that come from being fat. That isnât inherently fetishizing or dehumanizing, itâs how physical attraction works.
If weâre talking about some rando leaving graphic comments on strangerâs pictures or whatever, then yeah, thatâs weird regardless of body type or appearance, but getting twisted into knots about people expressing attraction to plus-sized bodies in a way that is unique to the attraction to plus-sized bodies is... wild.
Fetishization specifically refers to the reduction of a human being to a selection of assumed characteristics they may or may not possess. It is the act of treating a human being like a trope. Saying that a fat person looks like they give nice hugs isnât fetishizing, itâs attraction, and itâs normal.
#I say this as a fat person!#Plus size#idk what to tag this#the point is you all need to calm down#I saw a post that said referring to a 'somft tumby' was infantalizing#and like#no??#do you get triggered when people talk about tibbies#is things like 'hhhhhh musckles....' also fetishizing#are you yelling at people talking about cardi bs hips and thighs#for being disgusting fetishizers#no???#didn't think so#maybe calm down

this fucking course is such bullshit the damn online test thing just tested me for an entirely different topic (that i was unable to access), nitpicked my wording for no reason (i entered "safety/cut resistant gloves". the 'correct' answer? "gloves". ffs.), and marked me as wrong on one question bc whoever built the shitty 3d section of the test made the mistake THAT THE TEST IS SUPPOSED TO BE TEACHING US NOT TO MAKE. IN A 3D MODEL NOT EVEN A REAL BUILDING CHRIST ON A STICK. the human instructor is fucking amazing but this new online-based curriculum is shitty and half-assed as fuck.
#i am minorly disappointed i didn't do this before this year but SUPER glad i didn't leave it any later#the impression i get is that they're trying to semi-automate the course to be Hip and With It and also cut back on staffing costs maybe#but the people doing it don't have any fucking clue what they're doing when it comes to computer systems#so half of it's broken and they're like outsourcing a bunch of it to fucking youtube instructables i wish i was joking here#and you have to enroll in each topic individually but some topics reference others so if you have one but not the other you're fucked#and you can't just enroll in all of them the instructor has to open enrolment individually & give you the password for that window#this is a trade we're studying for btw it's hands on stuff that should be taught by humans who you can ask questions#and i'm super lucky that my instructor is actually good at his job but oh my god#the secondhand shame in this man's eyes every time something stupid breaks on the website. heartbreaking.

I haven't seen every season of Drag Race, but I have watched most of the US episodes, and most of those I have watched in the past 4 months. So I feel comfortable saying this week's episode was the worst the show has ever had.
#the editing was godawful#the writing was shit#the balance has been so off all season as far as featuring the contestants#I dont understand why they bothered to use the title and names from last year's acting challenge when this had not one thing to do with it#i wish someone had at least pointed out that Fancy is STILL a Reba reference#as much as the eliminations have been cleaning house of white twinks they are still giving pass after pass to one in particular#who should have gone home on Snatch Game#and most of all I am SO angry about the way that argument was resolved#as a lifelong doormat watching Malaysia be talked into believing she was being a stick in the mud during their harmless fun and games#INFURIATED ME#Because NO#people who grab whatever they can WHETHER THEY WANT IT OR NOT#just because they know most people are accommodating enough to keep the peace even if it means personallly losing out#are people I have learned to stay the fuck away from because they will take advantage of you every chance they get#and obviously we are only seeing what the edit decides to air in the 20 seconds each queen gets to speak each week#but Malaysia refused to let them steamroll the rest of the cast just because they had the loudest brashest voice in the room#and I will not accept her being set up in a 'both sides' narrative for doing so#i will say that it was super shady for the third group to take advantage of that power struggle to claim hip hop without anyone elses input#and I wish that had come up too#no one asked you ms p

I want to see a modern day american bandstand i feel like it would do relatively well i think it maybe could stand a chance if done right
#like it kinda hits the niche that lets plays hit where you watch people doing x its about music and like dances made for those music#if you go early days route it can be about the people who dance on it like the regulars they had in the early days#i think making that a bigger aspect would be something people would be interested in not like reality tv wise#but the appeal of regulars getting to know them the whole like parasocial aspect of it all like for better or for worse#its an aspect that tv film and now social media in general had and can kinda rely on and im not saying its right#but it would mosy likely happen and producers wouldnt be mad abt it anyways#it was abt the now whats young whats hot whats hip#and it had major social impacts#i think it would be interesting to see teens/young people have that kinda spot in media#cause its just a differnet world from online culture#and people made their breaks on bandstand#obvi theres a lot too it and nothing would be perfect and it might work in theory and fail in practice but its interesting to think about#cause it feels as social media grows the like distinctness of like teen culture fades#like its always refered to in the context of social media and how that interacts with traditional media#which is important since theyre now so intertiwned but it feels less prominent to see the two discussed seperatly#and it obvi connects with the lack of real physical spaces teens and young people are allowed to occupy and be in#its just interesting to think about if it makes sense

if someone reading post gets interested in the origins, i also highly recommend flipping through these if you can find a copy
and yeah, it's rap - because hip-hop wasn't the term until later on
where it started
youtube
and how it's going, just because i love this book from last year:
As someone who grew up living under a rock in the early 2000s and was completely lost on what hip-hop and rap was good until earlier this year I would absolutely support a crash course playlist
Best listened to on shuffle. Very NSFW, including some lyrics from A Different Time. Tried to focus on the essentials and then a few noteworthy personal favorites. Look below the cut for some commentary on whatâs what âŹď¸
*this playlist is subject to change, and since itâs original posting has already been edited to add Beastie Boys, Salt N Pepa, and MF DOOM
#this really should go back further than 1986 tho#it's always weird to me that more folks don't reference yo mtv raps which was so huge in breaking rap to the masses#all the references and samples are built on the history from the early days#and you are not gonna get where stuff is coming from unless you look at where it started#says the random white chick from the suburbs lol#but like i *am* old enough to remember how it went mainstream#because in order for it to get to me it had to be somewhat mainstream if you see what i mean#also any rap history should include 'walk this way' just because of how enormous it was influence-wise on the general public#everybody wants to list the 'hard' tracks but honestly christmas in hollis and goin back to cali#did more for rap acceptance and elevation in the eyes of radio/public awareness than most of the#tracks people always quote in hip-hop geneology#if nate dogg's regulate track doesn't show up in your hiphop history list then you are definitely curating with a certain view#like where is lil kim when the biggest hiphop names today are the ladies who took that concept and ran with it#just be aware of where the holes are here - so much of what went on in rap's early days was the quest#for mainstream success and recognition thst you can't pull a history playlist with no top-40 tracks and call it complete#ahhh old person ranting again#Youtube

simonâs work wife
one â two â three â four
people start calling u simonâs work wife and he takes it literally. starts referring to you as the âmissusâ, your cheeks warming as his heavy hand rest on your hips to pull you into him.
heâs snarling at one of the recruits that stared at you a little too long for his liking, caging you in against his big ass frame. that same recruit later coming to you a stuttering mess, apologizing because he didnât know you were married.
you arenât, but youâre too shocked to comment on it.
and when you confront simon he just shrugs his shoulders lazily, staring at you with darkened eyes as he mumbles, âyaâ didnât deny it.â
it ends with you moving in, you arenât sure how it startedâor if you were even in an actual relationship but everywhere and anywhere you go heâs calling you his wife.

I think itâs funny because the same people who say this will turn around and go âI love this song about murdering my neighbours so my dead girlfriend can come back to life!â and âI love listening to this album where a man makes a deal with the devil to kill a thousand evil men to bring back his girlfriend!â and âI listen to (genre known for being shocking and talking about dark topics)!â and âI listen to a song that literally talks about committing suicide!â and the favourite âMy favourite artist is a raging bigot and I still listen to them Idc if theyâre problematic <33â but when Eazy E sings about killing people, hiding bodies and when any rapper talks about the benign fucking, now all of a sudden âRap is all about sex, money and drugsâ âRap is so badâ.
I relate to so much of this post as a black person on the internetđ
a lot of people are dismissing the "violent" rap music rushing and scrambling to say well not ALL rap is violent here's some rappers who don't rap about violence but like. idk. I think the "violent" rap is important to listen to as well. do you know why gangs exist? do you know why Compton is the way that it is? can you listen to the experiences of black men when you can't personally relate on any level? or will you dismiss an entire genre of music because certain sub genres make you feel a bit uncomfortable as a non-black person?
#headfirst for halos reference#in my room reference#three cheers for sweet revenge reference as well#Iâm gonna be honest#if you make the same tired old rap is boring statements#if I asked you to name 5 rappers that arenât Eminem sexyy red Kendrick Tupac or biggie and you stay radio silent#i do not want to hear anything from you#especially if youâre non-black#also#unless itâs talking about molesting kids and enjoying it#most people dgaf about the morals of the artist or what the meaning behind the song#itâs only ever brought up when itâs hip hop/rap⌠I wonder why (racism)
