I'm a week early but I won't be here for Jack's actual birthday on the 16th, so take this little doodle.
When I was a kid, Jack in the Box had a Reese's pie that I loved a lot but it was limited time and I've never seen it back since. Would be really cool if they brought back limited time desserts every May for his bday.

National Peanut Butter Lovers Day
For those who simply adore this delicious food, it’s tons of fun to enjoy and celebrate everything to do with peanut butter.
Peanut butter is a well-loved high performance food that is great for snacks, baking and cooking. It’s an extremely versatile food that offers a whole variety of ways to appreciate and enjoy it. Though it has a little bit of sugar, it also contains a lot of beneficial components that can be part of a healthy and tasty diet.
And for those people who absolutely love peanut butter? Well, this day is just perfect because it’s time for National Peanut Butter Lovers Day!
History of National Peanut Butter Lovers Day
Peanuts have origins that go far back into human history. Some researchers believe that peanuts (which aren’t actually nuts at all but are really legumes) have been domesticated by humans for thousands of years! But it wasn’t turned into the modern food we call peanut butter until more recently.
After some rudimentary experimenting with peanut paste and a patent granted in 1884 to Canadian inventor, Marcellus Gilmore Edson, an unnamed doctor seems to have used peanut butter as a way to feed some of his patients a nutritious, easily edible food in the year 1890.
National Peanut Butter Lovers Day was first celebrated in 1990 to commemorate the first commercially available peanut butter in the United States. The day was founded by a collaboration between the National Peanut Board and the Adult Peanut Butter Lovers Fan Club in the US.
One great fact about National Peanut Butter Lovers Day is that it actually falls on the first day of March, several months after National Peanut Butter Lovers Month, which is in November. That way, peanut butter lovers have the opportunity to spread the celebration around throughout the year!
As it turns out, there may just be a great geographical divide in the United States among peanut butter lovers! It seems that those people who live in the West Coast of the US tend to prefer crunchy peanut butter while those living toward the East Coast would typically prefer creamy peanut butter. But whether it’s creamy or crunchy, in the west, in the east – or anywhere else in the world – National Peanut Butter Lovers Day is the perfect time to celebrate!
National Peanut Butter Lovers Day Timeline

Started by the Alabama Peanut Producers Association, National Peanut Week has its first celebration in early March.
1990
First National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day

Enough peanuts grow on one acre of a peanut butter farm to make approximately 35,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!
Host a National Peanut Butter Lovers Day Party
National Peanut Butter Lovers Day is a great reason to have a little gathering with a few friends to celebrate the beauty of peanut butter. Invite some friends over (just be sure they aren’t friends that have a peanut allergy!) and have an entire party celebrating the merits of PB.
It might even be fun to ask friends to dress up in peanut or peanut butter lover costumes. For instance, they could come as Mr. Peanut, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or even Elvis Presley. Of course, the center of attention and guest of honor at this party would obviously be all of the peanut butter themed food that is served.

The Peanut Vendor by Dean Martin (1952)
Peanut Butter by the Marathons (1961)
Perform a Peanut Butter Taste Test
When it comes to loving peanut butter, many people are particular about the different brands of peanut butter they prefer to eat. So National Peanut Butter Lovers Day might be the ideal time to perform a little taste test, whether on your own, with family or with friends. Although it is easier to do a blind taste test when accompanied by someone else!
Arrange a blind taste test by putting peanut butter into bowls and marking them with numbers that coordinate with the different brands of peanut butter. Then choose to eat it by the spoonful, place it on a piece of bread, or dip a cracker into it. Try each type of peanut butter and see which brand is the favorite. It’s a delightful way to celebrate the day!

Giant Peanut Butter Chocolate Delight Pie Indulge in this decadent dessert that combines rich chocolate and creamy peanut butter with a crunchy cookie crust. Perfect for any occasion! Ingredients 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream 12 Oreo cookies 12 Nutter Butter cookies 6 tablespoons salted butter, melted (divided) 1 cup creamy peanut butter 8 ounces whipped cream cheese 1/3 cup powdered sugar 8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed 8 Reese's peanut butter cups, full size Instructions Heat the Cream: In a large microwave-safe bowl, heat the heavy whipping cream for about 1 minute. Check the temperature, and if needed, heat for another 30 seconds to 1 minute until it's very hot but not boiling. Melt the Chocolate: Add the chocolate chips to the hot cream. Let it sit for 3-4 minutes. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Set aside to cool slightly. Prepare the Cookies: Use a blender or food processor to grind the Nutter Butters and Oreos separately until they reach a fine, sandy consistency. Combine with Butter: Place the ground cookies in separate small bowls. Add 3 tablespoons of melted butter to each and mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Form the Crust: Spoon the cookie mixtures randomly around a 9-inch pie plate. Press them into an even layer on the bottom and up the sides of the plate. Use the bottom of a measuring cup to pack the crust tightly. Place the crust in the freezer while you make the filling. Mix the Filling: In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to blend the peanut butter, whipped cream cheese, and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in Cool Whip: Gently fold in the Cool Whip using the hand mixer on low speed or a rubber spatula. Be careful not to over mix to maintain the Cool Whip's fluffiness. Add the Filling: Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the cookie crust. Top with Ganache: Pour the slightly cooled chocolate ganache over the peanut butter filling. Smooth it out with an offset spatula or the back of a spoon. Decorate: Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle chopped Reese's cups over the top. Refrigerate the pie for at least 3 hours before serving. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

National Peanut Day
Did you know that peanuts have almost zero cholesterol? That’s just one of many reasons why peanuts are such a popular ingredient, snack and superfood!
History of National Peanut Day
While it has the word “nut” in its name, the peanut is actually not a nut at all but is technically a legume, closely related to beans or seeds. Peanuts grow underground and probably originated in South America around 1500 BC. They made their way around the world and became very popular in North America some time around the 1700s, but weren’t grown commercially for quite a few more years.
After PT Barnum’s circus began selling hot roasted peanuts, the snack grew in popularity. They even became popular at baseball games, a distinctly American pastime. Then, in 1904, peanut butter was introduced at the St. Louis World’s Fair.
Today, peanut farms in the United States are valued at more than $1 billion, making this a very lucrative business. Peanut butter accounts for around half of this business, while snack nuts and confections made with peanuts bring in the other half.
Now it’s time to celebrate National Peanut Day!
How to Celebrate National Peanut Day
Enjoy celebrating this day in a variety of fun and tasty ways!
Eat Some Delicious Peanuts
National Peanut Day is a chance to work some peanuts into a healthy diet, used in any way from tasty lunchbox snacks to as a tangy stir-fry sauce. Peanuts make a great snack that can be taken anywhere. And with more protein than any other nut, they are also nutritious. In fact, they’re so great that they are the top rated snack in the United States, making up ⅔ of the entire nut market in the nation. So grab some peanuts in celebration of this popular treat!
Incorporate Peanuts into Recipes
Even those who aren’t super creative when it comes to culinary artistry can still add peanuts to a variety of recipes. Starting with the simplest of combinations: Good Old Raisins and Peanuts (aka GORP). Add to that a little bit of chocolate with some other dried fruits and watch those boring peanuts turn into some full-on trail mix!
Peanuts can also be used in different types of recipes. Many Asian themed recipes use a peanut sauce with chicken, vegetables and rice that can taste even more delicious when a handful of peanuts are thrown in as a garnish.
One strange-sounding but also well-liked dish that’s fairly simple to make is the Peanut Butter and Banana sandwich. Just like it sounds, it can be made by spreading peanut butter on a slice of bread, adding some banana slices on top of the peanut butter, then topping it off with the second slice of bread. This sandwich was a well-known favorite of the King of Rock ‘n Roll, Elvis Presley. In addition, former US President Bill Clinton was said to have enjoyed this sandwich while living in the White House.
Learn Some Fun Peanut Facts
Getting involved in celebrating National Peanut Day can be about more than just eating this clever little snack. Learning interesting trivia and facts about peanuts is a superb (and non-allergic!) way to share in the celebration of National Peanut Day. Try out these facts about peanuts on friends, family or coworkers in honor of the day, who will certainly be impressed with this type of knowlege:
Two different Presidents of the United States have been peanut farmers as previous careers: both Thomas Jefferson and Jimmy Carter have this in common.
A 12 ounce jar of peanut butter requires approximately 540 peanuts to make it.
Six different cities in the United States are named after this clever nut: Peanut, California; Peanut, Pennsylvania; Lower Peanut, Pennsylvania; Upper Peanut, Pennsylvania; Peanut, Tennessee; and Peanut, West Virginia.
The average child in an American household will eat around 1500 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches by the time she/he graduates from high school. That’s a lot of PB&J’s!
Make Homemade Peanut Butter
Peanut butter is a staple for children (and some adults), especially in American households. In fact, some statistics show that peanut butter is consumed in up to 94% of households in the United States. And although processed versions tend to have quite a bit of sugar, it’s also a great way to get protein into the diets of little ones.
Making peanut butter at home is actually a lot easier than it might seem. Plus, homemade peanut butter is much healthier than many store bought brands because it does not include as much sugar or those pesky preservatives.
To make homemade peanut butter, simply add 2 cups of dry roasted peanuts to a food processor (or high powered blender) and run the machine for 4-5 minutes. Stir in just a bit of honey (1-2 tablespoons) to include a bit of sweetness and add a pinch of salt if the peanuts were not already salted.
That’s it! Homemade peanut butter is super easy to make, delicious to eat, healthier and also probably more affordable than buying it premade from the store.
Enjoy Some Classic ‘Peanuts’ Comics or Cartoons
Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy and her brother Linus are just some of the characters that were featured in Charles Schulz’s beloved Peanuts comic strip. One of the most popular and influential comic strips of all time in the United States, this gang of short, clever children also included Charlie’s sister, Sally, as well as their friend Peppermint Patty, the less-than-hygienic Pig Pen, and piano-playing Schroeder.
The comic strip, whose humor is rather advanced and relationally driven, ran from 1950 for almost 50 years. It also launched into televised animated specials, books, a feature-length movie and even a stage musical, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
Get Educated about Peanut Allergies
Enjoying peanuts and even sharing them with friends is a delightful way to spend National Peanut Day. Be sure to watch out for allergies, though! Today it seems that, more than ever, people (especially children) find out that they have a sensitivity or allergy to peanuts.
For some people, a highly sensitive peanut allergy can mean swelling up and even being unable to breathe if they are even in the same room as peanuts. So be sure to inquire about any allergies at the office or at a party before passing around that snack made with peanuts.

For Veganuary, some of my favorite vegan foods!
As a general rule, I use canned or frozen veggies in all of these. They’re cheaper, they last longer, and you don’t have to do any chopping (which is especially convenient when it comes to onions). The only exceptions are mushrooms and potatoes.
Rice!
I cook it with veggie broth (or a vegan chicken flavored broth), garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
Before I set it to simmer, I dump in a bag of frozen veggies (I like mixed veggies or spinach) or fresh veggies (I like mushrooms) and throw in a can of chickpeas for good measure
Right after it’s done, I stir in some vegan cheese if I have it. I usually do about a cup of cheese when I make a big pot and that’s plenty.
Dirty Rice
Pasta!
To stretch mac and cheese, melt some vegan butter in the pot, add your unsweet dairy free milk, then add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and whatever seasonings you want. Bring it to a boil and then whisk in enough flour to get it to a gravy-like consistency. then add your dairy free cheese--you’ll only need half as much.
Garlic Butter Pasta
Chickpea “Tuna” Casserole
Alfredo
I like to add red bell pepper or spinach to a mozzarella mac and cheese; peas or meatless crumbles to a cheddar mac and cheese.
For tomato sauce, I just use a can of crushed tomato with salt, garlic and onion powder, italian seasoning, and a bit of balsamic vinegar. Spinach and mushrooms go well with this, too.
Some of my top recipes
Biscuit Topped Chickpea Pot Pie (takes a while but so worth it!)
Tabbouleh (I usually add chickpeas to make it heartier)
Corn Fritters (I just throw in whatever veggies I have on hand)
Biscuits and Gravy (I usually add some fake sausage to the gravy to make it more filling)
Split Pea Soup
Hummus and Pita (This isn’t real pita, but it’s close and much easier. Of course you can always just buy it at the store, too.)
Potato Wedges
Refried Bean Burgers
Burritos (No recipe, but I fill mine with refried beans, spanish rice--the little knorr packets are vegan!--taco sauce, and mexican style dairy free cheese)
Nachos (No recipe, but I top mine with black beans, a vegan cheese sauce, salsa, and black olives)
Pancakes
Desserts are easy--just sub out dairy-free milk and dairy-free butter. Or search for vegan versions of your favorites!
Cinnamon Rolls
Banana Bread Cinnamon Rolls
Orange Rolls
Sprinkle Sugar Cookies
Rolled Sugar Cookies
Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Vanilla Pudding
Chocolate Pudding
Lots of stovetop pudding mixes are vegan--just use non-dairy milk!
Vanilla Cake
Chocolate Cake
Coffee Cake
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
Banana Nice Cream
Frozen Pineapple Whip
Vegan Egg Substitutes for Baking
Cheese - I buy raw cashews in bulk from foodtolive--shipping is free, tax is included, and the price is very reasonable. I eat cashew cheese every day so I usually get the 7lb bag and keep it in the bottom of my fridge.
Easy Cheese Sauce (no cashews)
Go-to Cashew Cheese (This is a great base! Sometimes I add tomato paste and hot sauce for a buffalo cheese, or sometimes I go heavy on the lemon juice and add dried dill and parsley).
Pimento Cheese
Sundried Tomato Cheese

friendly asking idiot here! what’s YOUR favorite food this time? :D (don’t have to answer if u don’t wanna <3!!)
I don't know if I have any ONE favorite food, to be honest. I like a lot of things. XD I'll see if I can pick out a few key favorites... We eat a LOT of steak at my house. And I do mean a LOT. There are multiple reasons why, but it just is the way it is. Thankfully, I happen to LOVE steak, so I rarely get tired of it. Chicken Parmesan is a grand creation. I also like various forms of chicken from Asian-themed restaurants, like Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken, and Teriyaki. I like sweet and sour chicken, too, but I ESPECIALLY love sweet and sour pork. One of my absolute favorite things in the world is Peking duck, but I very, VERY rarely get to have it, for several reasons. Bacon is definitely up there. I like it on burgers and sandwiches, in burritos, wrapped around a delicious Filet Mignon or Chicken Drumsticks, sprinkled onto various forms of cooked potatoes, in soup...just bacon, in general, is something I adore. BBQ Ribs are another favorite dish of mine. If you haven't guessed yet, I'm sort of a carnivore. My apologies to those who are not. I'm mad about mashed potatoes...PROVIDED they are REAL mashed potatoes. Like, that store bought stuff you get in a can, or something in a TV dinner? FIE ON SUCH RUBBISH, I SAY! Even a lot of restaurants tend to have sort of "meh" mashes. If they're done well, though, I absolutely freaking LOVE them. In terms of desserts and sweets...my favorite candies are Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Red Licorice. As far as the licorice goes, it has to be REAL red licorice: not Twizzlers or Red Vines. That stuff is a bland disgrace to the candy. No, give me Wiley Wallaby's, Darrell Lea, or Lucky Country. The Australian-styled stuff. That's the BEST. My favorite ice cream is good old-fashioned Cookies & Cream. I also love my (currently) still-surviving grandmother's homemade chocolate creme pie. It is glorious and I can never have enough of it. ^^
