Have not been on here nearly as much as I used to-outside of my job I've been working very hard on my next cosplay build: Electra from starlight express

This is the most complex costume I've ever made, but I'm very pleased with what I have so far!

Still have a lot of ways left to go! But it's been extremely rewarding seeing things piece together so nicely

The very first thing I started with this costume was the bodysuit, it is the foundation that everything will sit upon so it should be out of the way first, and it would be easier to pattern my armour once I know how it will sit in relation to the rest of the costume

I also knew I would be wearing this to a convention and would want to have easy access for the washroom, so I actually turned a full bodysuit pattern into separate leggings and a leotard with a snap crotch closure

Did the leggings first-at first I wanted to be as accurate as possible with a silver chrome foil HTV that I cut on my Cricut machine with the circuit pattern cut out- but I found out after ironing that despite there being all these spaces between the squares that the fabric did not stretch enough to be able to fit(I had made mock-ups for my clothing pieces and those did fit correctly)

Red sections of clothing is turned edge applique done with water soluble stabilizer so it could stretch after throwing it in the wash

So after that didn't pan out I switched to a stretch HTV, just using the same design files, and widened the legs a bit, it helped a bit but the HTV not only did not stretch enough, but does not like the lycra I was using and in areas with the most stretch the squares were peeling and in some places even falling off

At this point I had spent almost an entire month on just my leggings-clearly I had to try something else because the HTV was just not going to work

I got jacquard lumiere fabric paint in silver-it's okay if I could go back I'd probably just have gotten angelus leather paint I find it has much nicer stretch and softer feel

I also widened the spaces between my squares to give them a little more stretch, and cut just a full grid of adhesive vinyl to use as a stencil and kept the wider pants pattern from my second pair

I did have to mask off the circuit pattern this way but it came out very nicely and finally had a method that gave me a wearable garment

So I moved onto my leotard next with significantly less headaches- though my arms did not stretch enough after being painted but that was easily remedied with a gusset on the underarm

Collar is interfaced with flexfoam

Since my thigh armour will attach to the belt that was next, honestly pretty easy, mostly rectangles, used real studs and then permanent vinyl for the red and silver bits

Couplers are flexfoam inside a tube of silver pleather, physical belting straps is a thick interfacing covered with the same silver, had to use grommets for the belt holes because it was very frayed when I punched them open

Tumblr mobile won't let me add more than 10 photos on mobile but for my helmet I duct tape patterned my head and then used 2mm foam covered in worbla, used wood filler and sanded that as much as I could, then covered in a few layers of flexbond and then wet sanded that

Painted with automotive paint to get those little silver flecks, and then painted the colour blocks and covered them with glitter

Still have to add the stripes and chinstrap, and going to be using magnet snaps to attach the Mohawk to the helmet

That's essentially what I have so far!

I 3D modeled the little arrow thing that goes on the front of the belt and elbows, my brother's going to 3D print them for me 🤭

Started foam patterning this week, my original goal was to have this done by November 7th(leaving for the con I'm taking them to) but again-i did have almost an entire month of setbacks so I'm going to try to not take it too hard if I don't

net zero. i like the jacket i like the new harness (even if it means loosing the one that goes over his ass) i LOVE the new mask (THE BULLRINGGGGG) but im not fond of the mohawk. i like that the new model has more neck fat.

i think the upside down sunburn on his arm trips me up and like in general his skintone is. less consistent somehow. and like junkrat hes a lot pinker than before which again conceptually i think the idea of them cleaning up and getting less Irradiated is cute and i think hogs sells it better? in both of the new junker outfits i dont love the red i miss the yellow :( but like my main issue with the junkrat one is he doesnt look like himself, like, resculpting his face to be slimmer and cuter and changing his hair to be less messy and polishing up his outfit and his prosthetics kind of strips away the visual indicators of his personality as kind of a ruffian and a troublemaker and his general scatterbrained-ness. it looks like sexified fanart of him done by someone who wants him but doesnt like that hes ugly :( but with roadhog it all looks like yeah he would do that. i believe in my heart hes a guy who would invest in a nice leather jacket and take care of it and he would bother keeping clean and cutting his hair regularly. he didnt lose his visual identity the way (imo) the rat did.

but i digress. another complaint i kind of loathe the new hook its very sexless and unfortunate

like its so overcomplicated like come on man its a fucking hook why is it like that. and it looks so bulky and awkward to throw around and the serated edge looks so dumb like youre overcomplicated what was the perfect design. less is more.

i dont like that his hands are cleaner like i get it. but come on man. also because they covered his arms we dont get to see his sunspots as much. and also now that im looking at it this is a plus, i like the structure of the new armor on his offhand it looks a lot like. sturdier while still obviously being worn in and scrappy.

overall its kind of like eh. i could take it or leave it. i do go look at it sometimes to admire how gorgeous he is and i think he got a better deal than like, most of the rest of the cast. he still looks like himself and his design portrays a lot of personality its very much giving practical, stern older dude who uses what he has until it absolutely breaks while still letting his sillier side shine through, like they kept his stupid rings and his spikes and the bandages and shit. it looks, very convincingly, like what he would do if you gave him the money and resources to put together whatever outfit he wanted. he would get a nose piercing for his silly pig mask. he would get practical gear upgrades. he would wear a very hot biker jacket. its good all around even if there are details i dont love.

I just know he’s gonna come out in a floral button down and skinny jeans holding red wine essentially cosplaying himself from 2013*. It’s okay, it’s fine, I’m very normal and not affected by this at all (I’m going to sob like a baby).

*or I’ve put way too much faith in him and he’s gonna turn up in the big pants, clown shoes, and ridiculously long belt combo.

My money is on no cosplay. Normal Matty. Cuz “nostalgia is a sickness.” And all that.

He’s probably still gonna have a drink on him but he does that consistently. Depending on weather etc he might just have a regular shirt on.

BUT YES THE HAIRRRRR. he better not have touched it AT ALLLLL. Or he is going to WISH HE HADNT. I’ll get on a flight just to kick him in the balls.

As for Mr. Ross, better have your hair down.

Subtle Sonic Cosplays;

Have you ever wanted to cosplay a character without going all out? Well this post is all about character inspired outfits!!

If you have any suggestions on a show, don’t be afraid to comment! This is kinda like Disney bounding, but there’s more variety and vagueness—

These are pretty vague outfit suggestions, and for now they are kind of one aesthetic for simplicity. Again there will be variety’s but now is just a introduction to get a gist.

Sonic: Curly Mohawk, red shoes, leg warmers, blue shirt.

Shadow: Five braids, Gold bracelets, red or white and black shoes, black bellbottoms, white shirt.

Amy: Red dress with a white belt, short braids or straight hair with a subtle ponytail to make it look short, red shoes, white legwarmers, gold bracelets, red hair accessory.

Tails (The easiest, I’ve done this before): Yellow shirt, Bellbottoms, red shoes, two ponytails.

Blaze: Ponytail + hair down, red shoes, purple shirt, white leg warmers, gold necklace.

Silver: Bantu Knots, gold bracelets, black shoes and white shoes, white necklace.

Knuckles: Braids, red or green shoes, white shirt, red overalls.

I’ll probably draw these out later, so stay tuned!! :p

okay I’m sorry I can’t fight the urge to tell this

So I was playing Kaiju Paradise, right?

and I was Shade, but with the Fashionista skin

and I was with a bunch of the pink sharks (I forget their new name, but it starts with a P, I think it”s Pseudoshork or something?)

But then there was this guy, I knew he was cosplayed as a Dragon Ball Z character, but had no clue which one, so I just called him Vegeta (cus it gave Vegeta vibes, but it was like orange fit w/ a floofy mohawk hair)

and no matter how many times he was killed, he just kept coming back with his Void Bat (idk what the bat was, that was my first time seeing it, but stunned you with a small black hole effect)

But I was 1v1-ing him at a point, and I was winning, I got him in the red

then another guy came in and it became a 2v1 (I was the 1), and they killed me (technically the other guy did, not Vegeta)

then the funniest thing happened.

Vegeta did this dramatic walk-off, making his way back to spawn…

but here’s the thing.

currently the game updated that instead of not letting you enter Spawn for a bit after being hit by a goo, it flings u back and damages you a bit, and the second attempt kills you.

…His health was low enough he died instantly

AND I GOT THE FULL-KILL CREDIT.

I could not stop laughing afterwards like duuuude XD

you spent ALL that time trying to kill me, had to get help to kill me, and then LOST TO A SAFE ZONE. AND GAVE ME THE CREDITS.

Idk if anyone here is particularly interested in cosplay as an art/lifestyle but it's MY blog and I get to ramble about the stupid shit I do

I'm on Remus wig #3 because I just haven't liked the way they've been turning out:

I started with a long wig to parallel my Roman cosplay, but the long hair + the high collar just kinda. made my neck disappear. and it wasn't a very flattering look:

Then Cade lent me his brown Rufio and I really liked it but we had wanted color-coded wigs for each character (red for Roman, blond for Janus, blue streaks for Logan and Patton, etc) so I REALLY wanted a green mohawk (plus i didn't want to add a silver streak and mess up Cade's wig):

That brings us to wig #2, a brown Rufio with blond mohawk. Arda doesn't sell it in green so I endeavored to find a way to spot dye the 'hawk. That didn't work out due to the mechanics of trying to submerge only part of a very short, oddly-shaped wig in boiling water/Rit dye, so I ended up with a weird, spiky, shiny, off-color nightmare wig:

Here's where I decided to get WEIRD. I bought another brown sides/blond 'hawk Rufio from Arda and decided to try foiling it, like when hairdressers do blond highlights.

The logic: It recently occurred to me that Rit seals with heat, not water and heat. You only have to boil your object because it's pretty much the only safe, consistent way to keep the dye and the object hot long enough for the dye to set. Enter heat-resistant wigs. Since the boiling water is only necessary as a mechanism to prolonged heat, I thought I could achieve the same result with a straightener or hair dryer

That sort of worked.

It took forever, was extremely inefficient, and resulted in a very pale dye job. Somehow, the small test patch I did took me 2 HOURS. Granted I did knock over my dye and have a fairly long interlude where I cleaned it out of my carpet...

So I got fed up, painted the dye all over the 'hawk, covered everything in foil, and stuck that damn wig in the oven

Per their website, Arda wigs are heat resistant up to 420°F, but I stuck with 325 tops just in case, turning the oven off and on to keep from overdoing things

And y'all??? I just took my wig out of the oven after letting it cool overnight, rinsed it, aaaaaand

RESOUNDING SUCCESS!

The temperature of the oven wasn't hot enough to warp the wig fibers, but was sufficient to set the dye, so now after I make a few adjustments I have my perfect Remus wig!!!

I'm so happy!!!

I need to do another pass (I was worried about running out of dye since I spilled a bunch), but look how deep and rich that color is!! That's post-rinsing, too; I made sure the water was running completely clear before I took the pic

author’s note: sorry for the late update tho hehe burnout has been consuming me lately but I'll do my best to follow plans as scheduled :) also, Y/C/N in this story refers to your cosplayer name just in case :)

“Eh?!” His voice cracked, and as if on cue Kenma’s hands accidentally unclasped his controller from shock, letting it fall on the floor as his character was immediately killed in the background, showing a game over screen. It was, perhaps, too much for Kenma to process what was unfolding before him.

“P-Please come to my performance at the convention!”, you stutter as you hand out a ticket to a 3-Day Anime Convention to your boyfriend, whose attention is now on your hands as he hesitantly accepts the tickets from you and then goes to pick up his controller from the floor. You watch as your boyfriend looks over the details on the ticket, eventually finding out that the last day falls on Valentines.

You mustered what was left of your courage before gambling your chances whether he accepts it or not. “C-Consider it as my Valentines’ gift or something.”, you stutter as you shyly turned away with flustered cheeks as your eyes glanced over to him reading the details on the ticket.

“I’m not sure about the first two days, but I’ll be there on the last day.”, he nonchalantly replies, much to your shock, as he scrolls through his phone’s calendar, checking and finalizing his schedule. 

You gave out a sigh of relief, despite knowing how busy your boyfriend is, and it is definitely not easy when he has to juggle various jobs as a YouTuber, stock trader, professional gamer, and most importantly, a CEO of his own company while being a university student at the same time. Even though he won’t be able to go for the first two days, you wholeheartedly appreciate that he gets to go on the last day, which coincidentally fell on Valentines’ Day. Although you and Kenma have been happily dating for a few years now, you both agreed to keep your relationship a secret for privacy reasons, although in recent years, you were feeling the urge to introduce your and Kenma’s relationship to your fans.

Despite that, the two of you enjoyed the peace and solace in your relationship, and have never been more grateful to have someone like Kenma supporting each other, even if it was in secret.

The two days went on without a hitch, as the last day arrived smoothly, you quickly prepared in anticipation for your performance. At the back of the stage, other several notable cosplayers were occupied with their preparations as you finished putting on makeup as well as your costume and accessories. You hear noises from the venue outside as the crowd starts to fill the area as you carefully try to look if your boyfriend has arrived; although to no avail, you dismally had to start preparing for the event beforehand.

Unbeknownst to you as you head to the backstage, a red jacket and sunglasses-clad figure steps into the venue, trying to avoid standing out and drawing unnecessary attention to himself while holding a cup of apple juice on one hand. He cautiously avoided the crowd as he carefully made his way to the main stage situated in the center of the venue. He looked around, somehow looking for you as he waited for the program to start. He then fishes in his jacket pocket with one hand to grab his phone to text you as he takes another sip of his apple juice with the other.

The lights started to dim as it fixed on the stage, with your face and the other cosplayers displayed on the LED screen. As he watched, he had a gentle smile on his lips as he captured the sight of your moments shown, somewhat proud of your feats. He knows how hard you worked to become the well-known cosplayer and model that you are today, and although both of you were busy with your passions, he still supported you in his own ways; thus it was for the first time he will get to see you in your own element in person.

A figure walks up to the stage with a microphone on one hand and then taps it to check for any faults. When the microphone worked, they cleared their throat, attracting the attention of the audience. “Please help me welcome to the stage, Y/C/N!”, the emcee enthusiastically cheers as you enter the main stage in your simple yet eye-popping Tekken’s Alisa Bosconovitch cosplay.

The spotlights were fixed on you as you cheekily stood in the center as you unleashed the chainsaw portion of the costume in an X-formation, winking as you see your wide-eyed flustered boyfriend staring at you in the middle of the audience. The music started to play in the background, prompting you to do a couple of dances that you practiced in secret from Kenma, mixing with a few of Alisa’s fighting stances from the game. Your overly enthusiastic fans kept on cheering every time you did the familiar stunts; and Kenma—albeit silent, was enjoying your performance, if his intent gaze on you were an indicator.

All seemed to disappear around him as you danced on the stage with energy, elegantly, and beautiful in his eyes. His gaze was only on  you, watching you perform that seemed to be just for him. It was all a blur to him, but you were so clear to his eyes only as his phone recorded every moment of you.

As you performed, you gazed in his direction when the routine gave you an opportunity. Even in the dark, his eyes had a certain spark that you were familiar with, it was always when he was engrossed in something he loved. You felt such bliss with every step you took, prompting you to blow a kiss to his direction in front of the unsuspecting audience that had the clueless crowd rile with joy to your display; unknowingly, it was only for your boyfriend. Receiving your kiss, a gentle smile formed on his lips, his heart beating faster more than whenever he finishes his games as his face started to redden from your stunt. He felt a thorn in his chest as his ears rang from the cacophonous crowd. His hand started to shiver as his grip on his phone tightened with animosity as the other cuffed into a fist that he shoved into his jacket.

I don’t like this crowd… He thought as he watched the audience cheered before he resumed to watch you with a tender gaze while recording your performance. As he watched you twirl and kick, it was as if on cue, a tear unknowingly escaped from his eyes, filled with nothing but happiness as he compelled his hand to stay still and record this very moment.

“Eh~” A familiar voice cooed from behind Kenma. He quickly wiped his tears before his eyes shifted to the voice he heard as the familiar figure walked towards him.

“I never thought Pudding Head is a fan of the goddess Y/C/N.” The familiar voice continued, distracting Kenma’s train of thought just to find a flustered Tora holding a staunchly pink uchiwa fan with your face imprinted on it in one hand and a lightstick on the other while wearing an official headband merchandise of you sitting on his head to finish his weird outfit.

“Ah, Tora.”, the former setter casually replied back.

“Yo, Kyan~ma!” Yamamoto says with a teasing tone as he waved at the former setter. Kenma, shocked but not surprised, kept on looking up and down at his former teammate with mixed feelings while his handheld phone still recorded you. Kenma scoffed with loathe as he returned his gaze to your performance.

“This guy…!” Yamamoto grunted. “Hmph, a long time has passed, and this is how you greet an old friend?”, he teases out of annoyance as he crosses his arms in irritation. Kenma gripped his phone tighter as he looked at the annoyed mohawk.

“Are we even now?” Kenma replies, further annoying his old friend.

Kenma shifted his gaze to you again, ignoring Yamamoto’s casual annoyance. The former spiker scoffed as he turned on his lightstick, preparing himself to cheer for you. “I’ll show you that I’m her number 1 fan!”

Yamamoto returned his attention to your performance, as he raised his lightstick to cheer for you before being met with Kenma’s gaze.

“...show me.” Kenma looked at him with the familiar spark and confidence that he had during their old days as Yamamoto heard his inaudible whisper and could only look in his direction with a dumbfounded look. Before the spiker could reply, your performance had just ended in high spirits while being followed suit by the next cosplayer as your fans disperse to see you. 

Kenma walked around the venue for a moment as he waited for you, still pleased with your performance, and seeing you ecstatic in your own element for the very first time he’ll remember while he continued on to look for you.

“Thank you everyone! I had so much fun with you all!”, You beamed in delight as you walked around the venue sans the chainsaw and wing accessories from your costume earlier. A few of your fans, mostly boys, recognized you and have gone to flock towards you, wanting to express their love and admiration for you. Somehow, one voice stood out to you, as the blonde-dyed mohawk guy approached you with a phone.

“Y/C/N-san, can we take a picture?”, He beamed with a large smile—albeit his intimidating physicality, to which you gladly accept as you can see how much he respected your space. You both took a couple of selfies before the guy—in tears—thanked you.

Kenma, hearing your voice, was drawn to your direction before seeing your fans flocking to you. Seeing you up close in cosplay—albeit far—felt an urge within him, wanting to sweep you away from the convention. His body froze, hesitating if he should do it or not; feeling the cold sweat forming as he watched your fans crowded around you. Without a thought in mind, his feet subconsciously walked towards your direction with haste, his eyes locked onto you as he clutched his sunglasses safely. His arm outstretched until he grasped your figure within his reach as he swiftly pulled you towards him before making a break for it, much to you and your fans’ surprise.

As you both sifted through the crowd, earning quite a bit of stares from the passer–bys that you ignored. You could only gaze at him from behind in awe at his stunt. You rattled through your mind, trying to find the words in the sudden situation.

“K-Kenma? Wh-what are y—” You were suddenly cut short before Kenma tightened his grip on your hand, not wanting to let you go.

“Is it wrong for me...” Kenma said in a hushed tone that only you and a few nearby people heard. “that I want to spend time with you…?” His words left you astounded as you followed him suit as his hands suddenly emitted his warmth to you. You felt your cheeks redden in surprise to his words. You couldn’t help but chuckle at his embarrassed state while walking hand in hand out of the venue.

You and Kenma looked at each other in unison as the sun glistened on his flushed face with a smile that was only for you.

Back inside the convention, a couple of stunted fans are left in shock from what they have just witnessed. The few fans who somehow heard the inaudible interaction you both had earlier were now freaking out in their heads as if they have pieced something together.

“D-Did she just say K-Kenma? Like you know, that YouTuber?”

“You mean Kodzuken?”

Various fans who have caught the interaction were now starting to talk amongst themselves about what they had just seen. Yamamoto, despite having the chance to take a selfie with you, still got left in the dust as he knew that familiar pudding hair from anywhere. In fact, he was just with him earlier, and the current discussion amongst the fans have somehow just confirmed his suspicions.

“...show me.” Kenma’s words and the confidence he emitted from earlier finally sunk into Yamamoto.

“KYANMA!”

Comfort Headcanons

This is primarily for Non-binary/gender non-conforming etc. readers, AFAB in this scenario. Forget that things they do post... forget it, it never existed. Also, I can make one for AMAB if you would want them, would probably make them either way once i do more research :))

YUKIE

It’s that time of the month, she can tell by the way your shoulders slouch and the depressed look on your face. 

Doesn’t think twice about rushing to your side, shoving food at your face as she hugs you. Yes, it's uncomfortable because she shoved an entire onigiri in your face then immediately hugged your shoulders. 

At home she’ll pull you between her legs and rub your stomach, she probably has one of those stuffed animal heating things. 

If you start feeling/having gender dysphoria during your period, she’ll start kissing your face all over while whispering she loves you over and over again. 

WATARI

Gender dysphoria, biggest enemy in my eyes. 

He’s concerned right off the bat, he noticed the way your behavior changed the moment your ears picked up on murmurs about your outfit. He doesn’t understand why people bother talking about clothes, clothes have no gender so why is everyone talking about you? 

He’ll pull you away from everyone and hug you under a tree, rubbing your back to calm you down. “I don’t get it Shinji, do people just- do they still see me as a girl?” His heart breaks at your tone, you sound so defeated. 

He’ll tell you to ignore them but he knows it's hard to. Tells you everyday he loves you and that he’ll be there for you always. Though if there were a crowd of people saying things and he’s feeling bold, he’ll press his hands against your ears and kiss you in front of everyone. 

DAISHOU

Starting T, scary.

Whether it’s the injection, patch, or gel, daishou is there to help. While he won’t be doing it for you he’ll hold your hand the entire time you do it, if you do the injection he’ll ignore the strong grip you have that nearly breaks his hand. (me bye.)

During the physical and mental tests you’d have to take beforehand, he’ll be the one taking you, of course unless you start this before you’re 18, he’ll tag along.

He’d take process photos for you so that once there’s a significant change, you two can watch how far you’ve grown together. 

DAICHI

Top surgery. Gosh so expensive…

He’d take you there if you ask him, though if you ask your legal guardian he’ll just tag along and hold your hand whispering you’re gonna do great. 

After the procedure he’d tell you you did so well, and if you start crying he’s kissing your tears away. He’ll take care of you so well but he’d sleep on the floor because he’s scared he might make you uncomfortable or touch your wounds too soon.

The first time you take off your shirt so freely, he almost cries at the way you smile. Pulls you by the waist to kiss your scars and lets a few tears slip from his eyes. 

SUNA

Wearing a binder, comfortable yet also uncomfortable!

When you first get it he’s sitting on the bathroom counter as you put it on, cackling loudly once you look at yourself in the mirror. (me)

The haircut. 

Now if your hair was already short to begin with (pixie, bob, shoulders.) but you wanted it shorter, he just flat out says, “why not shave your head.” But if you have long hair, he asks if he can cut some of it before you go somewhere professional. 

He’s supportive, everyone is. If you get it without him knowing and show up to his house or school with your hair shorter or in a “typical men's haircut” he’ll suppress that feeling of wanting to jump on you. (ik in Japan it's normal for women to have short hair shh.)

I know he’s stoic most of the time but he’s a big goofball, at home he’d keep trying to use an absurd amount of hair gel to give you a mohawk. 

YAMAGATA

Listen, the first time you brought up going to mens warehouse to get fitted for a tux, he’s been drooling. 

Tugs you to the store and keeps shaking his head at the suits you’ve tried on, babe, just tell them you want them to wear an all black suit. He does.

Anyways, You two are watching some show, anime, attack on titan because i make the rules, howl’s moving castle if you relate. Boom that one guy comes on and she’s whipping her head to you wondering why you’re crying.

“I wanna look like him so bad it hurts.” Pulls you into her chest, and just tells you you’ll be okay, she doesn’t know how to react in these situations, but she’ll look up on what you’re feeling and try to help in any way she can.

Will buy you a wig, actually, she’ll make you an entire cosplay dedicated to that character but it's so spot on. Screaming when you start crying and ruin the makeup she spent so much time on. Cries with you.

BOKUTO

Coming out to him. 

At first he won’t understand why your hands are shaking so much when you sit him  down to talk. Then he just starts getting worried you’re going to break up with him which makes the situation so much worse in your head. 

And when you tell him you’re non-binary/gender non-comforming/transgender/etc. He lets out a breath because he thought it’d be a break up. Quickly regains his composure to hug you tightly and reassure you he loves you and every aspect of you and that he’ll be your number one supporter. 

Makes sure everyone knows your new pronouns, new name, if you’re okay with it. Fends off people who try to criticize you for making a big decision like that, doesn’t hesitate to tell them he wants to spike a volleyball in their face for that comment.

SAKUSA

Change of name. 

Another person whose initial thought is that you’re going to break up with him and is relieved when not. At first he didn’t understand why you were so hesitant to tell him but then he remembers that something like that isn’t easy at all. 

Corrects anyone and everyone when they get your name wrong, so ready to defend you. He’ll hesitate to throw hands but if someone is still trying to pick on you, he’ll provoke them enough so they throw the first swing, then use the self-defense excuse. (go omi omi!)

If you decide to change your name again, he’ll do the same thing all over again. He knows it isn’t easy to choose one so if you’re indecisive he’ll test with you. 

MATSUKAWA

Pronoun change.

You’re just in his room, laying on his bed when you bring it up. “Issei, can you refer to me with they/them pronouns?” his head just whips over to you but he tries to calm himself and says yes. 

If you continue to question it and go from she/her to she/they, he’ll stare down anyone who gets it wrong. When you finally go to they/them, he corrects people when they’re wrong, doesn’t matter if they’re still talking, you can hear his monotone voice just saying “they.” while they’re talking. 

Always says that comment that's pretty popular. “Their pronouns are they/them but i wanna be they/theirs”

Oooh I really like that idea! I’ve always wanted to dye my hair some unnatural color. One time in elementary school, I almost got a bright pink mohawk lololol. But now I can’t do unnatural colors ‘cause my job says no. By signature color, I assume you mean their sin color.

He was never really one about crazy colored hairdye, likely because it wasn’t common for crazy colored hair to really be unnatural.

But having gotten used to your regular hair color, finding you with blue hair was certainly a surprise, not an unwelcome one. More than anything, he’d find it flattering that you’d decide to dye your hair the color commonly associated with him.

It would be a lie to say he’s never thought about hair dye. Dying his hair different colors at different times might help him get away with taking valuable things if no one can recognize his bright white hair immediately.

His hair already seems to sprout yellow highlights whenever he’s in his true form, but it’s never his entire head of hair, so seeing some yellow wouldn’t surprise him. But seeing your whole head in bright yellow has him immediately questioning your decision. He’ll never admit that he thinks it’s cool as hell, but he will tell you you should keep it like that. But he won’t say why, he’ll just tell you to do it.

He’d be lying if he told you he’s never used hair dye. His hair may be naturally purple, but he’s definitely dyed it other colors for cosplay.

And if he found out you dyed your hair orange for his sin color, he’d be very happy, and immediately start giving you tips on how to make it stand out the most for whatever costume you might be wearing. He’s very good with color matching, believe it or not.

He’s never bothered with hair dye, that anyone knows of.  More than likely, however, he has read about it somewhere, but it didn’t quite catch his interest like another topic.

But finding you with the same bright green hair as his associated color, he’d be surprise and only wonder what enticed you to change your hair color. Telling him that you wanted to use his color for you hair would have him blushing immediately. He finds it surprising, but far from unwelcome. He takes every chance he can get to glance at your hair, ever curious.

But he wouldn’t fault you if you decided to dye your hair his beautiful pink color. In fact, as soon as he finds you with pink hair, he’s excited. He uses this opportunity to insist on styling your hair in the best way possible to really bring out the color.

He’s tried to taste hair dye before, not realizing it was hair dye at the time. It tasted about as good as it smelled... Not very good. So he wasn’t much of a fan of hair dye, and never gave it much thought.

Since red is also commonly associated with Lucifer (Edgy boi lol), he’ll think you dyed your hair for his older brother at first. But after you tell him you dyed your hair for his color, he’ll be surprised and rather happy about it. Now your hair is almost the same color as his! Almost. It’s not quite the orange that his hair is.

Hair dye was never something he really bothered with, mostly because he was too lazy to think about it. After all, he’s already got natural two toned hair, why should he think about hair dye?

Finding you with your hair dyed a soft purple color has him immediately interested. He’s flattered and happy when you tell him you choose the color because it matches his signature color. He’ll also suggest adding a lighter color for highlight, similarly to the light colors in his hair.
