I already did Hc’s for Katekyo Hitman Reborn but I haven't done the Lighting Guardian and the Mist Guardian yet so I will add them. I still can’t get over the fact that Lambo shares in his older forms the same VA as Nanami from Jujutsu Kaisen.

Lambo Bovino (10 Years Later)

🐮​There is nothing quite like seeing Lambo age throughout the years as he turns from a demanding and spoiled child to a true lady's man, though he is still prone to reverting to his crybaby personality. The thing about Lambo now though is that he actually knows how to approach someone he finds attractive and that is quite useful for him the moment he develops an obsession with you. With an increased amount of awareness that he has earned over the years he is actually lucid of his obsession and is even tactful enough to decide that it would be wiser to not let you know about that for now. That is a problem for future Lambo for when you do find out eventually but it isn't something he should worry about too much in the present. He has had a lot of experience at this point already with receiving affection from other people, mainly women who swoon over him, and it is this experience that actually helps him to get successfully closer to you as he knows how to charm his darling with sweet words and gestures.

🐮​Despite the lazy demeanor that he often carries around with him Lambo actually pays close attention to you. His feelings are serious after all so it is in his interest to get to know you better and it is this attentive behavior that earns him a lot of points with you. After all it is very flattering to experience that he notices it when you wear new clothes or have a new haircut. Sometimes he still reverts back to the childish antics he often exhibited during his childhood, especially if he is upset or scared. It is a stark, and admittedly jarring, contrast to what you are used to, especially since he seeks you out for comfort afterwards. In such moments he is clingy and demanding, unwilling for you to leave him alone as he cries tears. You may have pity on him whilst he is in such a condition which he might use to his advantage or you might just find him annoying and plan to leave him alone which honestly only makes things worse as he would wind up crying only more when figuring out that you plan to leave him alone.

🐮​Jealousy is one possible emotion that can make him upset and reduce him to a crying mess. Luckily there is some time you have before it gets that far as Lambo figures that he doesn't help his image by letting you see him as a bawling and sniffling mess. He ends up digging his own grave more than just once though as he never rejects invitations when he is being invited to parties and he takes you in most cases with him which means that he lets you be surrounded by lots of other people. He doesn't mind if you socialise with others, he isn't that needy and insecure after all. What tends to get under his skin quickly though is when you start complimenting other people or gushing over them excessively whilst he is right next to you. He starts tugging nervously at his collar as the atmosphere turns quickly uncomfortable whilst he tries to save his face and slowly guide you away. If worst comes to worst though you are left with him sobbing and throwing a tantrum all whilst clinging to you.

🐮​In actual fights Lambo has grown a lot more dependent but he still needs another 10 years before he is completely unfaced. Still though, he will defend his darling or at the very least run away with them to ensure their protection if he realises that he is being overwhelmed in a fight. In preparation to hopefully never embarrass himself in front of you by running away from an opponent though Lambo is surprisingly thorough to ensure that you are well protected so that hopefully a situation will never even escalate that far. Being one of the ring bearers for Vongola brings its advantages after all which means that he is able to keep tabs on you and place you under special protection. During fights he'd probably have to ensure that you are not anywhere within his vicinity since he is not yet in full control of his powers and wouldn't want to accidentally hurt you with his electricity. I don't think that he has yet fully gotten the needed willpower to take someone's life, that is going to need another 10 years.

🐮​A certain amount of protection is going to be needed considering that he is the Lightning Guardian yet Lambo does ensure that there won't be any grand restrictions within your overall daily life. He can't let you walk around completely unprotected either though but he is actually able to reason pretty well with you as he explains the situation to you. Some small sacrifices have to be made but otherwise he promises you that you can go on with your life however you wish to do. In case of an emergency you will have to be escorted away though, especially if your identity is leaked to potential enemies of Vongola. That is probably the closest you will get to an abduction with this Lambo though even if this might already be a scary and equally upsetting experience. You're most likely going to be kept under tighter security from that day on, may even spend a longer time in their headquarters until the risk has been removed or until Lambo has regained his shaken composure which may take a while, especially if you were hurt or got dangerously close to being injured.

🐮​At times it feels like you are dealing with two different people. Sometimes Lambo is the more rational one in situations who acts for the most part calm and mature and in other moments you have to baby him as he loses his composure and starts seeking protection from you. You receive a ton of different gifts from him, he is especially fond of gifting you clothes he believes would make you look even prettier than you already are. Honestly, the relationship works pretty well as he flies very well under the radar due to his largely serious and calm attitude but the problem appears the moment his composure is stripped away from him and he is reduced to a crying and frightened mess. He knows that it's pathetic but he hasn't worked out just yet how to stop acting like a crybaby and if you were to be appalled by this clingy and unbearable part of his personality Lambo may grow more desperate and would in return be more prone to burst out in a tantrum in front of you.

Rokudo Mukuro

🌫️​From his respective verse Mukuro is honestly one of the worst choices one could end up with. He's cruel, manipulative, apathetic, controlling and incredibly possessive of his darling. He owns you and for that he is free to do with you whatever he wishes to do and you can either give in and accept that or try to rebel, entertain him a bit before he punishes you and then slowly breaks you apart. It's no secret that he has a sadistic side to him and whilst he may claim that neither one of you enjoys it when he has to punish you for throwing a tantrum, you know better than to believe his words if the gleam in his eyes is anything to go by. The only small blessing that you have that Mukuro treats punishments very much like reprimanding a disobedient dog. As soon as he believes that you have learned your lesson he will stop tormenting you, though he won't be the one who will directly take care of you afterwards as he instead asks Chrome, Ken or Chikusa to cater to your basic needs afterwards whilst he observes from a distance.

🌫️​He can really get into your head. He's perceptive, he has done his research on you and to make things even worse he is a talented illusionist. It is terrifying to be within his presence as he notices every twitch of your fingers and every subtle move of your body, there is really only little that you can hide from him. He's scheming, he knows how to shut you up with a few simple words and he knows what spots he has to target to threaten you to burst out into tears and all of that whilst not even raising his voice once. There is this air of superiority and intimidation that he always carries around with him and Mukuro has no plans to lessen the fear you have whenever you hear as much as his name. He wants and needs that level of control above you. He's a terrible person and he has embraced that already long ago so he sees no need to play pretend with you. You're going to see the real him and you will fear and adore him equally for it the longer time passes and the more he starts messing with your mind.

🌫️​He is possessive, not jealous. He'd like for you or anyone else to not even dare to associate such a pitiful feeling with him as he sees himself above it. He is above it. Loyalty and obedience are after all two things he expects from you whether he is currently spending time with you or is taking care of business which leaves you a little room to breathe as his mere presence is enough to often make the act of breathing normally a task incredibly difficult. You would be sorely mistaken to believe that just because he is gone you can sneak away and meet people you haven't seen in months due to the isolation he puts you through. Just remember that Mukuro always finds out the truth and you would only get yourself in more troubles if you were to lie to his face in the naive hope that he wouldn't see right through you. Do you just enjoy being punished by him? If so you could have just asked him kindly instead of getting other people involved. Begging and apologising won't work on him as you plead to leave innocent people out of it. After all both sides have to learn a lesson, wouldn't you agree?

🌫️​Whilst he has no qualms Mukuro is actually not someone who actively gets his own hands dirty. He is the type who lets others do the dirty work for him as he often sends out Ken or Chikusa to do the crude part for him. He does get heavily involved in scheming plans or messing with the mind of other people. He doesn't even spare those who have done nothing wrong besides interacting with you when you were trying to escape or family and friends who you just wished to talk to without his permission. He wouldn't kill them but the illusions and threats that he puts them through have an even worse effect as he essentially turns them against you, installs fear into their hearts so that they won't humor your futile hopes the next time you attempt to reach out to them. His skills of possessing people and playing around with their mind are some of the most frightening abilities to have since he can torment their very sanity and souls, a method he thinks is much more entertaining than simply putting a bullet through someone's head as he can allow himself the time to even take it slow, basking in his sadism.

🌫️​Isn't it only natural to keep a priced possession to yourself? To Mukuro it is and it is his possessive attributes that wind up isolating you from everyone and everything you used to know and love. You are kept in a building, locked away for the rest of your life all whilst Mukuro continues roaming around freely. It is honestly painful to know that he doesn't even bother spending much time with you as he often vaguely informs you that he has other important things he needs to take care of, never telling you what it is he needs to do. Whether it is out of convenience or actual consideration from Mukuro's part, you aren't left completely to your own devices. Chrome is there, Ken is there and Chikusa is there as well, meaning you at least have some company. All of them are only an upgrade from Mukuro's terrifying personality yet none of them would ever help you to escape as all of them are loyal to Mukuro and even try to warn you of the consequences that were to happen if you would attempt to run away.

🌫️​Sometimes you feel like Mukuro doesn't really care about you at all if he is gone for weeks without you hearing anything from him and even if Chrome tells you that he loves you in his own way you almost feel hurt. For what did he take you after all if he doesn't even "love" you? Admittedly, if you happen to be someone who is a naturally very affectionate person and longs to receive lots of affection as well Mukuro would be the worst choice for you. He doesn't show any of the twisted love and the care he has for you easily to the point where you can't help but feel like he doesn't love you at all. He doesn't need to for as long as he has your obedience that is enough for him. Yet whenever he takes notice that you aren't doing well he mostly asks one of his subordinates to look out after you, specifically telling them what it is that they need to get for you before adding that he doesn't wish them to tell you that it was him who told them all of it. It is Chrome though who reveals that secret to you one day, assuring you that Mukuro is actually always watching over you when he returns.

Chrome Dokuro

🟣​Chrome has been severely neglected and mistreated before she was saved by Mukuro and it is this past that has led her to be socially very awkward, inexperienced and shy. For quite a long time she has only ever really clung to Mukuro or the people he associates himself with and it is for that reason that she is quite overwhelmed when she finds a person she herself is interested in without Mukuro being involved in even a tiny aspect. Having only ever relied on Mukuro though initially she tries to avoid you and forget about you simply because she almost views her fondness of you as some sort of betrayal for the man who saved her life. Her obsession though has already gotten out of hand and it certainly doesn't help that she can't even control her own emotions very well either due to her insecurities. You are always a persistent thought inside her head and she doesn't know what to do with you. She wants to get to know you, wants to talk to you but she simply doesn't know how to do it.

🟣​Too shy and even frightened to speak with you Chrome resorts to being nothing more than a stalker for the following months. It is all that she seems to be able to do, watching you from a distance all whilst her own heart is doing sommersaults in her chest. She's still feeling conflicted though, torn apart between her loyalty to Mukuro and her newfound fondness for you. It feels like she is doing something terribly wrong which is why she attempts to hide what she is secretly doing from Ken, Chikusa and even Mukuro himself. She should have expected though that the Mist Guardian has already known about her little obsessive crush though but his disproval never happens as he instead encourages Chrome in his own subtle ways to follow her feelings, even trying to get her to be more assertive and controlling. It is only after she knows that Mukuro doesn't think of her new obsession as any threat or sign of disloyalty from her side that Chrome gains the needed courage to go for you herself.

🟣​Feelings of insecurities and a lack of self-esteem are problems Chrome finds herself fighting with even if she does want to get stronger on her own terms without having to depend on Mukuro. It is her clear inexperience though that makes her all the more awkward and insecure when she tries to get your attention all whilst you are busy talking to other people simply because she doesn't know what she should do or say to let you know of her current emotions. Chrome gets quite easily jealous though most of the time it isn't the kind of jealousy that you might expect. Chrome is just envious. Envious that other people can approach you as easily as they do all whilst she is a few feet away, her legs seemingly stuck to the ground as she stumbles over her own thoughts all whilst trying to come up with something to say to you. You will have to learn how to read her as she will most likely remain quiet despite her jealousy during the first few phases of the relationship until she eventually learns how to speak up and stand up for herself slowly.

🟣​Despite her connection with Mukuro she is not nearly as cruel or bad as he is though she is no saint either. She has a soft spot for people you care about and would never get them in harm's way as long as she knows that none of them are treating you badly. She doesn't hesitate to enter a battle either and she shares some powers with Mukuro, meaning that she is able to use illusions as well. Despite her shy and unsure appearance Chrome is actually willing to murder people but only if she deems them to be as too much of a risk if they were to be left alive for you. She loves you and whilst this realisation takes her a while to figure out she starts feeling a responsibility to protect you as soon as she has found out. Differently from Mukuro who is much more open with the cruel things he does, Chrome keeps very quiet about such things whenever they occur. She understands that you probably wouldn't react very well if she were to tell you that she murders people for you and assumes that for that you would appreciate it more if you would never find out at all.

🟣​She is still figuring things out. Emotions really are quite confusing, especially the love she is feeling for you. She longs to spend time with you but she is never able to shake off her habit to stalk you as her understanding of spending time with you seems to be that of her silently stalking you whilst you aren't even aware that she is there. People like Chikusa have already asked her why she isn't just trying to move in with you as he thinks that her behavior is quite pathetic yet Chrome gets much too nervous whilst considering moving in with her. She isn't used to such closeness and intimacy. It would be a new and unfamiliar experience and she tends to cling to what she knows and is familiar with, even if it isn't healthy. She does like your home though as she is familiar with it from her countless hours of stalking you. It's cozy and just so like you so she'd like to stay with you in there if she were to ever consider living with you. That's why you will always be brought back to your home though she does tell you that for that to happen you will have to follow certain rules and instructions or otherwise she might be forced to keep you somewhere else.

🟣​You should be mad with her and at times you definitely are but at the same time it is hard not to feel some sort of pity for Chrome. Whenever you lose your temper and lash out she just silently stands there and lets you vent out without even defending herself. She has written a lot of letters to you during the time where she was stalking you almost every day yet only a few of those letters she wrote were actually delivered to you and that only after a lot of consideration, hesitation and doubt. All the other letters were thrown away as she sometimes spent a couple of hours trying to figure what she even wanted to write to you. In general Chrome has an easier time standing up for you than she does standing up for herself which may lead you to feel somewhat more protective over her despite the situation you find yourself in and whilst she insists that you don't have to get yourself in troubles for her deep down she is very happy and the happiness only deepens her obsession.

I think this ship has so much potential (to destroy Reborn's superman syndrome), but a lot of the art I find about them is extremely toxic and seeing them just chilling or cuddling would be so nice.

Why Sasagawa Ryohei is considered the 'weakest' of the Vongola Decimo Guardians || A META ANALYSIS

===Spoiler Warning to the Manga of KHR.===This is the only warning you'll be getting.

First, a clarification because this came out of nowhere -- Yes, Ryohei is considered the 'weakest' of the Guardians by both Dino and Reborn, at the start of the Varia arc. This is backed by him being ranked the 5th Strongest in Namimori Middle, preceding Kusakabe (Hibari's 2nd-in-command). It is only after training with Colonello that he gains a semblance of power reliable enough to protect the familiga, besides just being 'really good at punching'. Simply put, at the level required in the series, Ryohei's set of skills - that being a really good boxer - isn't enough to qualify for a powerful guardian.

In that regard, he's even outdone by Lambo, at 5-years old, thanks to his arsenal and 10-year jump potential. How is that possible?

-- To tackle this question, we need to consider what makes a character 'strong' in Katekyo Hitman Reborn. Simple physical strength is of course a factor, but it's hardly the only one; in fact, it's one of the least accounted-for factors. This is backed by the Maximum Cannon being literally the strongest one-hit move among the Decimo Guardians, probably outdoing even Tsuna's 20% X-Burner. So, we have a character who's physically capable of outputting more raw power than his boss in one hit, yet he's still considered the weakest. This is because, the conclusion I have arrived at is: In KHR, a character's 'power' isn't dictated by their strength, but by their effectiveness.

For a simple example -- I-Pin's Mahjong Mega Bomb is possibly the one single strongest nuke in the show. But it takes it 10 whole counts until it blasts off, in which I-Pin is stationary. Is this effective? Not at all. As displayed numerous times throughout the daily life arc, it's perfectly plausible to avoid and nullify all damage from the blast by stepping out of range in time, or just throwing I-Pin away. Sure, it's a gag move, but it exists and we must take it into account. By contrast, we have the Levi Volta. I'm going to be honest, this is one of the least interesting moves in the series to me. It's never even used again after Hayato dispatches Levi. However, we can't ignore its effectiveness. Levi Volta is a sure-hit lightning strike condensed into one spot. Unless you're someone like Hayato who just so happens to have a way to counter, or Lambo who's got immunity, this is a clearcut one-shot. It's even been said that Levi himself isn't impressive, but this move alone is what put him in the Varia Officers rank. Let me repeat that: This move, alone, made him a Varia Officer. This is how effective the Levi Volta is in what it does, without getting into more specifics.

In short, a character's power is dictated by their techniques' effectiveness and skill, as shown in two examples. This is why Hibari for that matter, who's simply strong, hardy and great at fighting, is as stupidly powerful as he is: he's simply that effective. Notice that Hibari does not have nuke-level attacks, or even building-level attacks. All he has is two Tonfa, and his skill brought him to the same level as Dino -- who also doesn't have big bombastic moves.

Back to the subject at hand -- what about Ryohei makes him 'less effective' than the rest of the Guardians?

Not to throw shade at Ryohei at all; despite being labeled the weakest, that becomes arguable once he learns to utilize the Maximum Cannon (and subsequent moves). But, he's still considered on the weaker side, and consistently doesn't win in his fights despite great showcase of strength. Ryohei's boxing skill is also immensely good; blocking isn't a big thing in boxing, fighters mostly using dodging to nullify attacks and open their opponents. In that sense, Ryohei managed to dodge a majority of the damage Koyo attempted to land, while still getting deliberately grazed to charge his Sunlight Bangle. This takes inhuman amount of skill, which Ryohei is able to showcase, albeit with a Cambio Forma. Safe to say, he's easily one of the world's greatest boxers-- in sheer skill alone. He's also the well-reliable Sun Guardian, as shown 10-years later.

But Boxing in general is not a great choice for martial arts. While popular, it is subpar, as judged by several real-life martial arts experts. Him sticking to Boxing exclusively makes him incredibly good at what he does, but limits him in that sense too. Moreover, there is one common denominator for many characters in the series -- and that's, the use of Weapons.

Reborn is the most classic hitman in the series, modeled after the stereotype of Italian mafia. Therefore, he's a weapons expert. But it doesn't stop there: Gokudera using dynamite, Yamamoto learning swordsmanship, Hibari's tonfa -- even Tsuna uses a weapon: while the gloves by themselves aren't 'weapons', the ability they bestow definitely is. How do you expect to throw hands with a guy that shoots fire??

In the weapons department, Ryohei only has his fists. And that already places him at a disadvantageous point. While he's on-paper extremely skilled at what he does, his skill level is compromised by virtue of lack of weapon in the series.

To make a quick run-down of the other pure-martial artists in the series for comparison (almost all of which Ryohei outdoes), we have:

I-Pin and Fon, who use Gyoza Kenpo, a form of martial arts incorporating garlic to disrupt the enemy's nerves.

Joshima Ken, while not a 'martial artist', he is equipped with his fangs to grant him animal abilities and traits.

Lancia, who has a giant steel ball.

Lussuria, who not only has insanely quick movement, but also a metal knee - which by itself is a weapon.

Zakuro, technically, who just becomes a T-Rex and attacks with heat and Storm Flames anyway.

All of these guys have something extra going on for them besides just raw power. Ryohei doesn't have that. Ryohei relies solely on his skills as a boxer, and the principle taught to him by Colonello, to channel the power of his cells. Maximum Cannon is essentially a technique, but it's still just raw strength -- and, it's not even that reliable; requiring a very long recharge time to even utilize at maximum strength. His fighting style subtly changes to suit the Sun Flames' attributes eventually, but in the end it's still a principle that actively requires Ryohei risk himself, oftentimes gravely.

The other reason I feel that is relevant, is the author's emphasis on the Sun Flame being 'not as strong' as the rest of the flames. At least, not by itself.

The maximum healing capacity of the Sun Flames is demonstrated in Daisy, which can regenerate instantly like a lizard. I personally was amazed that this is what they pulled, only to later have my impression thwarted in accounts of the other Millefiore Guardians having even more extreme applications to their Flames. Basically, Daisy is presented to us as the first opponent fought against, because - to be inferred narratively - they are the weakest of the Six Funeral Wreaths. And it just so happens that Ryohei also has this flame, albeit with a different, much more self-destructive tendency. It's worth noting, in terms of effectiveness - Daisy outclasses Ryohei by a landslide, too (in my personal analysis, Daisy is the epitome of Sun Flames effectiveness).

Sun Flames, either through its healing properties, attribution to Irie Shoichi or Gokudera's use, is narratively told to be 'the support flame'. Which means, it's hard-pressed to find any attacks that encompass pure Sun Flame energy. In fact -- Ryohei is literally the only character in the series to even do that.

Ryohei definitely received the short end of the stick, but by no means is he actually 'weak'. As a potential Hitman he's definitely the least efficient among the Guardians, that's for sure. But that's mostly because of the series' focus and variety in its power system.

That said -- KHR is a series with normal humans. Remember that there's not a single person in all of KHR (except Daisy and his stupid hacks) that can tank a Maximum Cannon. So in terms of raw physicality, Ryohei is at the top of the series' list. Does that help him in fights? ...Unfortunately, not so much.

I find it interesting that the strongest Guardian, is actually the weakest; as 'power' is established to be 'effectiveness', and not strength.

Loid is an amazing spy so he defiantly should know about the Vongla mafia family.Yor being an assassin is also familiar with mafias since she is often hired by them and might have worked with reborn himself before.

So imagine Reborn being the amazing tutor he is decided to take Tsuna and his guardians to the Ostania for a well deserved break but in reality is for them to face off against the worlds greatest spy Twighlight and assassin the thorn princess.

I want Loid to be given a new mission to trail to vongola demino but can't get near due to Tsuna’s hyper intuition. I want Yor to have spar with the guradians as favour for Reborn.

I want Anya to find out about the mafia while also becoming best friends with Lambo. And maybe having the ten year bazooka used on her to find out what happen to operation Strix.

Market Day (KHR Flufftober)

Dating in the underground was hard to begin with, especially for a civilian woman who had dreamed of being a Mafia bride but found herself not cut out for it. Kyoko was much safer as a civilian and in spite of Tsuna's feelings for her, she had always had her eyes on her very best friend, Haru. The two girls had been through a lot as the support system for the boys in the future and they still weren't getting the full story from them. Tsuna had promised them that he would one day explain everything when the time was right. Kyoko had a beautiful day planned for herself and she refused to let anything spoil it. She and her girlfriend vowed to take the children out for a bit and have the best day together as possible.

A market date would be perfect for finding produce for dinner and Kyoko was already making a list of the vegetables she hoped to buy and maybe treat Haru to some wagashi and cake. Raindrop cake, castella, mochi, yatsuhashi a type of sweet cinnamon cracker, and amezaiku, animal shaped candies were all delights on Kyoko's list to get Haru to try. But she knew one she had to make sure to find for her beloved girlfriend. It was the Autumn season now which meant chestnuts were in abundance, which also meant there just had to be a cake shop somewhere for her to find a fresh made Mont Blanc for Haru. It wasn't the third Sunday of the month yet, so it wouldn't be a gift of multiple cakes for her appreciation day, but Kyoko wanted to spoil her girlfriend with at least one treat today.

"Haru-chan, are you ready to go?" She called to the other female, waiting for her to come along and adjusted her own skirt, making sure to look her best for her. Kyoko was someone who always treasured her appearance and had a lot of respect for herself and had even earned a reputation as the school idol, even if she was oblivious to her own charms and not interested in any of the boys in their school when her heart was set on her best friend all along.

"Hahi? One second, Haru has to get her purse!" She almost forgot it and would be devastated if Kyoko had been left to cover the date. "Are we bringing Lambo-chan and I-pin-chan too?"

Bright eyed and brimming with delight, Kyoko smiled. "We'll pick them up on the way. They deserve a fun day out too and maybe some treats if they're not too much." She remembered to check her wallet again, wagashi were expensive depending on the type and where they got them from as they were hand crafted and not mass produced like many candies and treats. Maybe she'd be better off taking Haru to a cake shop, while Kyoko got a decent allowance, she wasn't positive she'd be able to cover everyone knowing her own sweet tooth was pretty big to begin with. She wanted to spoil her girlfriend, but needed to get supplies for dinner first, cake could wait.

"Kyoko-chan! We have to get ingredients for dinner tonight. What do you think we should do for the boys?" Haru asked, planning a step-ahead. "Do you think they'll want curry again? We have plenty of rice to cook at the base, but Haru thinks we should get something else. I don't want to see them resorting to cup noodles for a week in a row again."

Kyoko smiled. "If we get sushi grade rice, Yamamoto-kun might be able to give us some pointers. But the fresh fish could be the most expensive ingredient." Trying to cook on a budget for a whole family of over ten would be expensive for sure and they each had different tastes. Tsuna and Hibari often liked savory foods like hamburger steak, while Yamamoto liked sushi with a cold glass of milk, Gokudera was hardly at the table long enough to find out what his favorite was as he often pushed himself through training longer hours resulting in him missing dinner completely and Haru having to chase him down later with a plate full. The girls were always relieved though when the plate still came back empty later, he at least took a break long enough to eat. Onii-san was never really picky, just had a healthy appetite so he would be easy to please. Lambo was hard to feed sometimes as all he wanted was candy and they had to remind him to eat first then he could have sweets. Mukuro wasn't usually around for dinner, but Chrome-chan, though shy was always polite and appreciative of what was given to her which made her one of the easiest to feed. Though they knew her favorite was mizu-ame, water candy and chocolate, they couldn't just let her have it all the time and ignore the proper nutrition she needed.

And that's when they got an idea. The girls had wandered far enough that they found the vegetable vendors and looked for what was in season. Pumpkin, sweet potatoes, mushrooms various vegetables were fresh and ripe now. The girls were so in sync they didn't have to say much. Just a glance at each other and a smile and nod, they were both thinking the same thing as they began picking out the fresh vegetables. "Hot pot!" They both cheered. It would be hot, flavorful and filling, and a little more nutritious for the boys than just another sodium filled instant cup noodles.

Some dates didn't have to be fancy dinners and expensive movie tickets, sometimes it was as simple as taking the love of your life to a market to pick out dinner. A nice home cooked meal and quality time spent with her girlfriend was really all Kyoko wanted to begin with. She might not have had the money to spoil Haru as she wanted, but sometimes all it takes is having the love of your life by your side doing every day tasks together, like going to the market.

So, the only reason why I didn’t mark ‘love it’ is simply because of the fact that I don’t muse I-pin and I never truly did a deep study on her. There isn’t too much information on her, and we don’t know too much about what the TYL Lambo and I-pin are doing. So, because I don’t know too much about them, it’s hard for me to really figure out a ship, so I don’t get as invested into it. Still, I do enjoy the ship and find them cute, so I definitely do ship it!

Again, I’m just throwing out some ideas out there that I think could make sense for the two characters. As I’m not that confident in my knowledge on I-pin (or Lambo for that matter, even tho I muse him lol) take my thoughts with a grain of salt.

We don’t know much about either of them canonically, so this is true NEO HEADCANON ERA! TRUE, IF YOU WON’T TELL ME SHIT, I’LL MAKE UP SHIT, AMANO. YOU SHOULD FEAR ME. So this is going down ‘Neo does whatever the HEKK she wants’ rotue. Truly, just take everything I say with a grain of salt lol.

I don’t recall how much of this I’ve said, but I think Whiskey should know a good bit of this bc we’ve talked about Lambo before. I think that Lambo is a bit of a black sheep of his family. One of Futa’s rankings his something like no.1 person that I’d want to kill and stuff to make into a chair—and that shows just how unliked he is or how annoying others find him. (Funny, bc I adore him and love him. Always have. I was meant for Haru, I know.) He, an actual child, was sent on a ‘mission’ to kill Reborn, the no.1 hitman. You can’t tell me that they were serious with that mission. I dare to believe that it was something someone said jokingly and Lambo went: BET. I’LL SHOW YOU! Then he ran off to Japan lol

I headcanon that Lambo was told that to make him shut up or leave people alone. The fact that the Bovino famiglia knows that he’s in Japan (Bc they are sending him weapons and replacement ammo for the bazooka) and they didn’t send someone over to watch over him is very telling. Even if he was on a mission, or even if he was being looked after by someone, the fact that we never saw any guardian of him is very telling to how little he seemed to matter to them. There is a moment where otona lambo boasts about how he got a trophy for being one of the best toilet cleaners—like… what is that? What kind of an award is that? It gives the feel of just give him something so he shuts up. Or it could even be a mocking award- but he still seemed proud of it.

Like, let’s face it. Lambo is lucky that Reborn never killed him in retaliation for the assassination attempts. He could’ve died many times over and yet the Bovino famiglia still provided him with weaponry. They were letting a literal 5 year old go to his possible death. I don’t give a flying fuck if they are like ‘this is the mafia, it’s a tough world out there’ but to risk a 5 year old? HELLO? A part of me thinks he has to be of relation to someone of rank because I can’t assume the ammo for the bazooka and the weapons he was sent are cheap. They couldn’t send such expensive things to some random grunt. Instead, he may be of relation to someone of status within the Bovino Famiglia. He is even told that if he could kill Reborn he could be the next Bovino boss.

I think regardless of how annoying he may be and how they want him to go away for a while, they couldn’t joke about something as serious as boss position. I think for that to be a thing that Lambo talks about (even in his character song), there may be some truth to it, so he is of relation to rank. YET- this is how they treat him? They leave him alone in a whole ANOTHER COUNTRY? By himself??? We even know in TYL that Futa admits that for a time that he was Lambo’s guardian. HELLO??? WHAT Y’ALL DOING???? When the Vongola reached out to have Lambo as a guardian, I believe it was stated the boss cried and was like ye do take him, it’s an honor. Certainly, it is an honor but also perhaps happy to be like bye bye brat.

It's possible that he is one of the many children who could’ve succeeded in the boss role and people just wanted to get rid of him to lessen the rivals. If so, he likely wasn’t favored among the children which may account for him being somewhat neglected. If so, then it makes some of his behavior a bit more understandable. He wants attention, he wants recognition. He wants people to acknowledge his potential and what he can do. Don’t just treat him like a kid. He is so starved for care and attention. It has to be why he loves the Vongola so much. To him, THIS IS HOME. Haru is a good sister figure to him who actually pays him attention and cares for him. He actually gets to act a kid with her and feel protected.

He can run to her if Gokudera is bullying him. He knows that Haru will dote on him and play with him. Nana is a woman who is very open and loving. She can take care of a number of people and she may very well be the closest thing to a mother to Lambo. So he is allowed to be more of a kid in Japan for once. He’s allowed to just… exist and be a kid and not have to always try to prove himself or need to be useful. That’s so important to have for kids, the time to be allowed to be carefree and childlike. That said, he’s still mafia and a guardian. He wants to chase after the guys and be like them. He wants to chase after them, he wants to be with them and do stuff. He can also do big boy things! Both are equally valid and go hand in hand.

Lambo’s ability to play with other kids is also interesting. He retains a very haughty attitude and is more… callous, at times? I think it can also reflect on his life back at the Bovino’s. That people treated him roughly, and maybe kept a haughty attitude, and may be mean to him. They may risk his life when they play. He was probably lied to by saying ‘this is how we play. If you want to have fun with us, you play like this. Don’t worry about if it hurts.’ So his play often employs dangerous ‘toys’. This is why sometimes we see him having fun trolling around and suddenly he brings out weapons from his afro. I think it’s a show of how dangerous his upbringing was.

Don’t get me started on how he’s never really been called back to the Bovino’s (canonically). I don’t know if anything was ever stated in the secret bullet things. TYL Lambo is hard to be used as an example bc it’s likely that when he’s with the Bovino’s it’s because a lot has gone on with the Vongola and he was sent back to them to be safe or whatever. It’s just upsetting to me that we know so little about the Bovino famiglia. Lambo also barely ever talks about them aside from the boss. I feel the fact he doesn’t ever talk about them shows that he didn’t have close ties to them. He doesn’t really regard them as close family and that’s so sad to me.

The reason he’s so annoying and bothers Gokudera is maybe because they’re the ones that come from similar backgrounds (mafia) and that he thinks Gokudera is cool. He wants to be more like him when he grows up. Even if it’s negative attention, he wants that. He just wants to exist in someone’s world and not to be ignored. How else to not get ignored than be annoying? I think this really shows through when you think that as he grew older, he’s gotten a lot of attention and care from others. He is REASSURED that he matters, and so otona Lambo is actually calm and less insufferable. I truly think a lot of his annoying nature (which I personally love lol like the gremlin I am) stems from his outcry of wanting attention.

Phew that’s a lot. I did say you could sit in for a lecture, right? I-pin, my sweet lil bean. We know that she can get embarrassed easily and when she is she clings to people. We know that she’s also pretty self-sufficient for the most part. She’s responsible and she’s mindful of others. She has a knack for caring for others and she’s got a great empathetic heart in the case of how she took care of Chrome who was struggling to get used to a new environment, especially with people who care. I-pin approached her in a casual way and made it easy for her to realize her hunger and accept the kindness.

Again, HC territory, but I think I-pin was likely an orphan. I think Fon is pretty much the one who picked her up and to help her be able to protect herself and to have the mettle to fend for herself in the harsh world, she was being taught martial arts. Through his teachings, she can learn self-discipline, how to push through adversity, how to have compassion, how to control her emotions, etc. Of course there are exceptions, but it’s quite the norm for Asian parents to provide for their children and try not to let their children suffer/struggle through anything until they are adults who can fend for themselves. So college fees and the like are usually paid for by the parents who want the best for their child. They don’t want their child to be riddled with debt or anything.

This is what a lot of my friends went through and I partially did as well. Financially it wasn’t so doable so I did have to take some loans myself but my parents still paid for a big chunk of my tuition. It’s just—the norm, I guess? Should I say expected? The fact that I-pin was working to pay for her own tuition is very telling for me. I guess you could argue that her parents are very poor or something, but in that case it’s weird to me that she didn’t ever mention parents, or that they never tried to reach out and thank Nana for her caring for I-pin. Even if it’s off screen, it may have been mentioned briefly like oh your parents sent you a card, they sent a care package, etc etc. I dunno, I just… get the feeling in my gut that she is an orphan.

I think that she sees Fon as something like a father figure to her. Not entirely unheard of for master/disciples. If she is an orphan it could explain how she was able to be more in tune with how Chrome felt uncomfortable/nervous around the others. Unsure of if she could accept their kindness for what it was. I-pin, as an orphan could relate to that. I mean Chrome isn’t really an orphan but she might as well be with the parents she had. She discarded that life so basically she’s an orphan too.

I think both she and Lambo can relate in similar ways to wanting a family, to wanting parental figures who would care for them and you know, put the energy into raising them. Fon can only do so much I think, as he’s got his own duties as an arcobaleno, and doing his own whatever Fon does. Not to mention that being an arcobaleno can mean that he could have enemies or that he leads a somewhat dangerous life, so they have to be apart sometimes. So, when Nana allowed I-pin to stick around, he likely thought it for the best. I-pin can finally have a more stable life. She can rest easier.

Once she had a more stable life, she wanted to give up the path of being an assassin and not focus so much on martial arts. Fon respected her wishes and sealed off the Pinzu time bomb. He cares for her and wants what is best for her. When she finally had stability she wanted to keep it. Be at peace, and so she works hard to make money for her tuition so she can lead a calmer life, I feel. That’s what she wants.

Even so, we’ve seen that she’s ready to charge up her fist if need be. Gonna bully Haru-san? Not on her watch. You targeting Haru-san and Kyoko-san? Lambo, get your but over here and help me protect them. You can say that she’s very filial. She may have wanted to settle down for a calmer life, but that doesn’t mean she shuns it. It doesn’t mean she’s completely done with it, because it’s a way for her to protect her loved ones.

I-pin has always been seen playing with Lambo, humoring him, and making sure he stays out of trouble. She likely has protected him at times because of his softer attitude and how he just cries lol. Lambo also plays with I-pin and allows her to just play and be a child. He’s just so wild that he can break her out of her regimen. He allows her to be free by being the absolute nutcase of a gremlin that he is. He is the example of being free and doing what you want.

I think those are aspects about their dynamic that is so important. I love how Otona Lambo calls her lovely I-pin. That’s just SO CUTE to me. I also find it very fascinating that if there is some kind of a mission to protect, it’s ALWAYS Lambo and I-pin together. Why not just entrust it to Lambo on his own? I dare to assert it’s because I-pin would worry about him too much and the best way to ensure his safety is to take matters into her own hands. She knows how quick to cry he can be. She knows how sometimes it’s harder for him to get into the mindset of just fighting because he sometimes has a passive way of interacting with altercations until you cross the threshold of ‘guess I actually HAVE to fight.’

I think growing up with Lambo and seeing how easy it is for him to cry at times, it made her pretty sensitive to his mentality and his emotions. She is pretty protective of him and Lambo surprisingly just lets it be the case. He allows it.

HEAR ME OUT-! Lambo grew up to be a pretty decent guy because of the positive influences around him in the form of the girls. There is literally no way anyone can convince me that Haru and Kyoko didn’t influence the way Lambo grew up. He’d seen the way that the girls could be treated and how they could be harassed by random guys. He’s seen how they get upset when people are rude to them, think of them as lesser, or not take them seriously. He’s seen it, and he’s likely resolved (and was taught by them) to not be like those bad apples.

Growing up with I-pin as his childhood friend, he can appreciate all she’s done for him, the care she has for him. He can be SO PROUD of all that she’s doing. The fact that she is trying so hard to make something of her life and not get disheartened by the cards life dealt her. She, is lovely. Maybe she has her doubts at times, but Lambo always reminds her. He finds her lovely and he 100% means it.

I think they’re such a nice pair because they would understand each other really well and have their own ways of being good influences on the other. He can be a good reminder for her to take a step back and enjoy life. Don’t be such a stickler and let loose every now and again. She is great for being a good grounding force for him, a person who is able to calm him down rather easily, and keep him FOCUSED when in the midst of a dangerous situation. Like, he’s been shown to be afraid and frightened, wanting to just run away or avoid situations when he’s thrown into dangerous situations by younger Lambo (LOL). Sometimes Tsuna seems to have to beg Lambo to actually do something. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT GHOST ROMEO. PLEASE!

However, if you think about the times when he’s alongside I-pin, he seems more courageous, almost? Both instances were pretty big deals. Dealing with one of them murder twins who look like walking ghostly freaks? Literally fleeing from the pursuing Black Spell? Come on, and yet he wasn’t whining, he wasn’t crying. He was relatively calm. He’s willing to just go into danger, not run away, and do what needs to be done. He can do his part to protect people with her directives. I will sit down here and claim that I think, she is his courage. She is a big reason for him to be courageous. If I-pin has come out of ‘retirement’ to be there for him, he has to man up and be brave. He won’t let her efforts go to waste. He won’t disappoint her. KILL ME I AM SO EMOTIONAL RIGHT NOW.

They’d just have such a good vibe, I think. They are good for each other and can support each other. They can help each other in ways that is beneficial.

I think that’s enough yapping about that. So for some cute ideas… hm… a thought that I had was about the password to unlock the pinzu bomb. I think based off my thoughts from above, the reason why a password even exists is because she didn’t want to fully commit to retiring, and for what reason? Remember the password to unlock it? ‘Broccoli monster’ and we know that’s what I-pin calls Lambo sometimes because of her bad vision. If she needs a reason to come out of retirement, it’s for her broccoli monster. She will fight for him and protect him if she must. SOBBU

I can imagine that due to the fact that from a young age some people mistaken I-pin as a boy, it had some effect on her self-consciousness and image. So, it’s possible that some snotty kids had some things to say about her, but Lambo has never seen her as anything but his great friend, someone who means so much to him. I like to think that when he realized she was struggling with her image one day, that’s when he started calling her Lovely I-pin. He wants to remind her that she is in fact lovely and he hopes that by doing so she can believe in his words that she IS lovely. KILL ME I AM CRYYYYYYYYY

Hey everyone! I do see all the wonderful requests in the inbox and know a lot of them have been waiting for a long, long time. I see them and do plan on working on them. I'm just getting back into the swing of writing by doing some prompts so I'll be throwing general fandom prompts, headcanon prompts, reaction prompts, and some smut prompts up for all my fandoms over the next week or two and then will focus on the requests when I feel I'm sufficiently back into the swing of things and will give everyone the best answers I possibly can. The Survivor – Tsuna because of main character syndrome. Tsuna is a final girl, let’s all be real here.

The Culprit – Oh, there’s so, so many great villains that could fit in here but I do believe it would be Xanxus. Kawahira is a great chessmaster, Mukuro has his charming sociopathy, Verde would wipe out everyone for science, Byakuran has already tried to take over the world but in the end, I feel like none of them truly live up to the plain bloodthirst Xanxus has or the thrill of the kill he experiences. Xanxus kills because he enjoys it, like everyone else in the Varia and, unlike the rest of the Varia, has the brains and the charisma to be a horror movie culprit.

The First Victim – It’s Lambo. Half because he’s an idiot and half because child murder….damn, is that ever a real serious turn to a movie that would have started out light-hearted and slice of life-ish.

The One Who Almost Made It – Hibari. I have no idea how he would actually die because it almost seems unthinkable but somehow, despite you feeling for sure that it could never happen because it’s Hibari-sama, it did and it definitely is the death that would make the viewers the absolute angriest.

The Comic Relief – I don’t know why because there are so, so many great options here but I kind of feel like, despite Lambo being my first thought, it’s going to be Yamamoto, actually. Just because the obfuscating stupidity means that he’s going to be mostly all smiles and pretending it’s all a game and all things are cool and as an avid viewer of horror movies, I think that would crack me up and have me shaking my head and rooting for him.

The Genre Savvy – This would definitely be Gokudera. The boy has an almost obsessive love for horror movies. They are his shit. He’ll watch all of them, from slashers to psychological thrillers to horror comedies, though he does tend to enjoy horror movies with very supernatural elements the most. However, because he watches such a wide variety, he’s very well-versed in all the horror movie tropes and he’s definitely going to be outspoken trying to get them across to everyone.

The Pretty One – Kikyo. It’s Kikyo. I mean…have you seen the boy? He puts the work into looking that fabulous, even while getting chased around by a killer. If he’s going to be a corpse, you can bet your ass he’s going to be the best looking corpse!

Why was Gokudera asking him to recount a time he felt safe? He makes a face. This is suspicious. Was he in trouble?

"You mean like when I run to Haru to protect me from you when you get mad at me?" He feels very safe then. Haru will protect him and defend him from the tyrannical Gokudera.

No matter what Gokudera says to him in a fit of anger, Haru always had a way of consoling Lambo-san and reminding him that he's doing great.

Even if his own famiglia didn't really pay attention to him, he had a home here with everyone. Haru, Tsuna, Maman, I-pin, Gokudera, Yamamoto, Kyoko, Ryohei, Fuuta and all them. They're all a lot of fun! They play with him or pay attention to him!

They care!

If he does something dangerous, he gets scolded. Tsuna will warn him about doing something that will get him hurt. It's something his own family didn't do much with him. They cared about all the adults or the older kids.

He'd felt like an outcast, but the innocent child that he was, continued to vie for attention. Honestly? Reborn was to thank for this... sorta. If not for his family telling him 'Stop being so annoying, make yourself useful and do something like get rid of the assassin Reborn,' he wouldn't have found his home with the Vongola.

Sure, he still gets cast aside sometimes, but they also include him in some important battles. Gokudera can get mad at him and maybe bully him, but it's better than being ignored or snubbed.

Anything was better than feeling invisible and worthless.

"I feel safe with everyone. This place is my real home, not where they tell me i'm useless."

Guhahaha! He laughs, acting as he normally does. He just said something sad? No, he didn't!

Guess he didn't really answer the question, huh? He had to speak about a time he felt safe, not say that he always feels safe with everyone.

"I don't really remember, everything hurt bad. I just remember hearing your voice saying everything was going to be okay. I knew i'd be okay! It hurt, but it's okay!"

He was referring to the time when the Vongola were fighting with the Varia for the rings, and for the final battle between the Sky, everyone had been dragged into it.

Taken from the hospital, poisoned, Lambo couldn't do anything but lay in pained silence. Still, through it all, he could remember hearing Gokudera's voice.

It made it easy for him to push through the pain. If Gokudera says it'll be fine, then it will be!

-- Her focus left her the moment the scent came to her consciousness.

Momentarily stopping by the perfume, a warm smile rose to her features as she got caught up, reminiscing. "Tsu-kun," she started, "Do you remember when we got this?"

Several tryouts, many failed attempts and dozens of scoldings from his tutor drilled into him the proper way of putting on a suit. The Tenth had been occupied with his own preparation, clumsily but surely dressing himself for the occasion as the lady grabbed his attention - alarming the young man briefly before he heaved out a laughing sigh. "Ahh, that…" She looked like she was elated to remember.

"What brought this up?"

… …

The boy must have pinched himself about nine times so far. How couldn't he? Reality just didn't align with his self-perception. After all, here he was, walking side by side with the girl of his dreams!

"Ahh! Tsuna-kun, look!" The girl excitedly alerted, unconsciously picking her pace up towards the stand; "They're giving out samples! Let's try some!" Clearly, one of them was far more immersed in the immediate moment than the other.

To see her so happy, excitedly checking stores out like an enthusiastic child, Tsuna couldn't help but mentally tear up. "Yes, l-let's!" A thought crossed his mind. Kyoko-chan was already looking supefyingly good in her chosen attire for this date, but for her to enjoy herself this much was just precious.

…If only they were truly alone.

In this large mall, it was easy for Tsuna to single Kyoko out from the crowd, going as far as the extremely bold hand-holding attempt, shying away every time before their hands actually touched. Daring as he was today, he could even single the girl out from the numerous people in the crowd with them. What he couldn't ignore, was Lambo and I-Pin, chaotically running by them and right under their legs in their unconcerned game of tag.

Why did Mom think it was a good idea to have them join, today of all days!?

The stand was placed right outside a relatively unpacked cosmetics store; an obvious move to promote sales, even going as far as spraying some perfumes to the air in-front, drawing in a few potential customers - Kyoko among them.

"Tsuna-kun, which one do you like?" The girl asked, bending slightly forward towards the stand as she tucked a loose hair strand behind her right ear, with the boy in tow and quick to reply with a silly smile. "I don't know…"

How can he know? His favorite scent was her shampoo, which she just flared in his face with that simple hair movement. But saying that would be too embarrassing! In the spur of the moment, he mindlessly moved a hand towards one of the pinkish-colored samples; "T-This one, I guess…"

-- "Oh! Really??" Her reaction was too gleeful for a simple choice. Was that a hit?? "I really like this one too!" It was!!

Spraying some of the sample on her left wrist, she quickly took the boy's hand in as well-- "Here, Tsuna-kun, you try it too." Everything was so fast. Kyoko had her sneakily quick pace about her when she was excited, that much he learned when she went on her Appreciation Days. But to so casually grab his own hand? When he was struggling with that all morning!? -- Solid blush rose to the boy's face as soon as his hand was grasped, and with an awkward whiff to his wrist, he looked away; embarrassment and happiness oozing out of every corner on his face.

"O-Oh… It's… It's good, Kyoko-chan…"

Ever the air-head, caught up in her own stride -- it took Kyoko a short moment to realize why Tsuna reacted so timidly at the act; only acknowledging she grabbed his hand in her's after he reacted. Heat rising to her own cheeks, reddening her face all the way to her ears as right away, her mood shifted. Showcasing her own embarrassment, the girl looked down, her frame appearing smaller as she enclosed her body language unconsciously; hands held together at her skirt level.

"S-Sorry!…" She apologized - "I got a little, t-too excited…" Kyoko was an honest girl. Straight-forward and unassuming, and it reflected both in her values and manner of speech. In fact, she may have made conscious effort to make that a point. "It's just, strawberry vanilla isn't very common… But it happens that I really like this scent too…"

Damn it. Tsuna's thoughts failed to process anything more than how cute this girl was. Damn it!

In their awkward embarrassment, the clerk failed to draw their attention. They were there for sampling, weren't they…? Fortunately (or unfortunately) for the worker, the two toddlers having away their time just so happened to crash into the makeshift table, causing a ruckus as they always did - alarming both Kyoko and Tsuna far too late, as they knocked the entire stand over, spilling the contents of the samples all over themselves.

"Ahh! Lambo, I-Pin!!" "You kids…."

If there was anyone to count on to break the moment, it was those two. Snapped out of their mutual embarrassment, Tsuna and Kyoko gave each other some well-warranted, awkward laughter. "I'd feel bad getting nothing after that…" Tsuna admitted.

"I know, right…?" Seems like they were on the same page. "--Excuse me!" A single bottle of the perfume was promptly purchased as a result…

… …

"…We still have the original bottle?" Tsuna humorously asked, remembering that time.

"A lot's happened. Now it's just Tsu-kun and me," Kyoko laughed to herself, coming closer to her beloved.

For Kyoko, it was a keepsake more than anything. Vanilla-strawberry wasn't a popular scent for a perfume, especially nowadays. It was associated with childishness, desires of a young girl yet fully fledged. But at the same time, it was special for her. A small reminder of a certain date with a certain man she loved. Of course, she only wore it for very, very specific occasions. Its tendency waning over time.

And yet,

"You think we should get a new one on the way?" She asked.

He couldn't help but chuckle. "Yeah. Let's stop before dinner!"
