I moved recently to start a new job and part of my commute now involves one of those high capacity toll booths where a two lane road suddenly flares out into 5-7 lanes of total anarchy with no lines anywhere, and then narrows back down to two lanes again, and we're just supposed to sort ourselves out? Who designed this

anyway I dreamed up this helpful anatomical guide on the drive home

reminder that numbers and notes do not define your writing. i want you to stop limiting yourself. when you write freely, you don't care about how it will do on tumblr or how many notes it will get. you do it for yourself because you always wanted to write it. trust me on this because the best fic i've written is at 227 notes but a random headcanon got 13k. but you know what? in the end, i always find myself thinking about the reblogs and comments under the 227 one. so don't let the numbers get to your head. you are amazing.

#when i was younger on tumblr in 2020 i made a post and it got attention and i liked that feeling because it validated me #so i started overworking and getting frustrated thinking maybe i am not enough if smtg didn't get the numbers i wanted #but it's been 3 years and my perspective has changed. i read a stsg and csm fic that had like notes under 100 #but they were so beautiful and it made me sob it didn't have more notes because they were amazing. my moots wrote them #so i left all my love in the reblog and then they responded w so much luv and gratitude that i understood it is never about the numbers #pasi.txt

Saturday - Condolences from "the Bank", Alex puts Jones onto Point Blanc, Alex follows Crawley back to the department

Sunday - Blunt threatens to deport Jack

Monday - Alex gets kidnapped on his way home from school

Tuesday - Alex gets briefed on his Alex Friend identity

Wednesday - Shopping/haircut day

Thursday - Invited to see Spider-man with Ayisha

Friday - Alex goes to stay with the Friend family

Saturday - Fiona Friend shows up unexpectedly, Tom comes over w/ pizza
