Gale is deep in thought, staring at the papers in his hand with a slight frown. He doesn’t look up when someone knocks on his open office door — mainly because he can tell it’s Bucky without having to check. It’s evident by — well, everything, the rhythm of his steps when they approached, the way the air smells of smugness and his favorite cologne, and the firmness in which he knocked.

Fair enough, the footsteps continue further without waiting for invitation. Gale puffs out a breath, gesturing with his occupied hands, still not looking up. ”I know we’re supposed to be having dinner right now but I just got the new evidence on the Hausmann case this afternoon and- Mpfh!”

He’s very rudely interrupted by a pair of insistent lips pressing to his. Bucky isn’t bothered by him not being ready for it in the slightest, just pulls him close by the waist — which is not tiny by the way, no matter what Bucky keeps insisting every time he grabs it in bed — and bites into the lush lips with his own with a passion that suggests it would’ve been quite a while longer than a couple of hours since he last did it.

Gale surrenders to the antics like it was a natural disaster — why fight what is inevitable? — but when John snatches the papers from his hands and throws them carelessly to the table behind himself Gale makes a protesting sound and presses his newly freed hands to his chest in mild protest.

”John,” he whines and the smirk on Bucky’s face makes him want to punch him almost as much as he wants to kiss is again, ”what are you-” ”The damn new copying machine jammed again, and I figured the only way I wouldn’t kick it was if I could jam my tongue to the back of your throat in turn.”

Gale looks at him blankly. ”That’s. Not-” ”I would of course prefer to destroy it by having you over it so hard that they’d have to buy a new one. We could really help the whole office with one easy, selfless act, doll.”

Gale scoffs but he knows Bucky can tell he’s fighting a smile. The second kiss is more gentle but still quite too intense for a work environment. Bucky has one hand around Gale’s waist and the other on his cheek, Gale’s are resting lazily on his hips as they indulge in each other, breathe quietly in their lovers lips and enjoy the forbidden bliss of doing this at work — it feels more meaningful than it is, really, like they’re not only breaking the rules of their office but also the deeper system it is embedded to; pleasure at work fights with the ideals of capitalism themselves, Gale would probably muse if he wasn’t so damn busy not thinking about anything but how lovely it is to kiss someone you love. He pushes John gently towards the table behind him and exhales as he bites his lowelip when John pulls him against his spread legs.

He needs to catch his breath though, and that’s when he realizes they are not even as thinly veiled as he would have hoped. ”You left the door open,” he says, trying to push him farther so the pose wouldn’t be so damning, ”my secretary-” ”I sent him away,” John says, uninterested, and tries to pull Gale closer by his tie. The younger doesn’t budge, though, but rather lifts a hand to his own lips and then looks at the fingers as if he could from there see how swollen, how incriminating, the scene they make looks.

”Anyone could walk in.” John groans and bites the air between them, running his hands down Gale’s sides. ”Don’t get me more excited than I already am, damn, sweetheart.” ”Oh for fuck’s sake-”

Bucky kisses him again to silence him, and despite a weak fight Gale allows it well enough. After, when Bucky pulls away, he takes Gale’s face between his palms and makes him look into his eyes.

”Baby. Everyone else left like an hour ago. It’s 8pm. You work too much. Time to call it a night.”

Gale stares at him, blinking a couple of times before slowly checking his watch and realizing John is not joking. He really has been at the office for more than 13 hours. Oops.

”I…” ”Save it, cowboy,” Bucky says with the easiness that Gale so loves about him as he stands up straight and takes Gale’s jacket from the chair. ”I love how much you care. I also love that I get to be the one who tells you when you’re an idiot workaholic and need to go home for a bit so you can be an idiot workaholic tomorrow too.” Gale sighs dramatically but does put on the coat Bucky is holding up for him.

”Well,” he says sheepishly as Bucky drags him out of the office by the hand and stops to lock the door, ”I can’t cook anything nice to apologize at home but maybe I can think of something else to reward such patience for my crime of attempting to serve justice.”

Bucky chukles, leaning up from the lock and and taking Gale’s hand to his. ”That copying machine gets to live one more day then,” he says and kisses Gale’s knuckles. Gale tries to swat him but he dodges. They’re both giggling and Gale knows he must be too tired when he’s this careless at the office but to be fair it is late and everyone truly is home. He dares one more kiss when they wait for the elevator.

People at their office don’t need to know about his personal life. They don’t need to know he’s fucking his boss. They don’t need to know that it’s been going on for years but it wasn’t until yesterday when Bucky had taken him into a fancy restaurant and told him he loves him and wants to be more than friends who have sex sometimes (quite frequently lately) (and exclusively) but still, he wants to be even more than that. They don’t need to know Gale’s heart had bursted in the moment when his deepest, most hidden dream had come true, and butterflies don’t even begin to explain the sensations those words set in motion. They don’t need to know he and Bucky made love all night, that he fell asleep in Bucky’s bed, and that he plans on doing that again tonight.

He looks at Bucky and feels a fondness that’s almost like pain as it stretches over the places in him that used to be longing and achiching. He looks down shyly before raising his eyes again, kissing Bucky’s knuckles in turn.

These first two months of the year were hard, but I am on track.

I finished the ISC2 training and assessment, and I am ready to take the ISC2 CC exam (I am so nervous)! But I must know if there's a Pearson's office here in Rio or if I will have to go to Sao Paulo.

I will start the CISCO CS soon and then the Google CS. In the middle of such a huge task list, I am doing my best to read as much as I can too.

Acclaimed actor Jace Stardiamond was known to be perpetually single throughout his lengthy career. In reality he was screwing in five year long committed relationship with, yes, his very own agent, Porter Cliffbreaker. An absolute shark in the industry with a list of star-studded clientele.

Jace was a walking cliche, sue him.

It wasn’t his fault Porter opted for a blazer that barely fit his hulking arms the day they met. It ended in their completely professional conversation turning to Jace catching Porter’s lips in a chaste kiss on the front steps leading up to his mansion in the hills. He apologized and Porter continued on with his pitch like nothing happened, like a fierce blush wasn’t passing over his cheeks and ears. Jace signed the paperwork and Porter kept him at arms reach.

Until he took Jace out for a nice dinner to celebrate acing an audition. It wasn’t a special or memorable one. He wasn’t the lead. That night, Porter peered at him over his champagne flute (filled with ginger ale instead) before saying, “I’ll celebrate your wins, no matter the size. A win for you is a win for us.” Us.. he liked the thought of being an ‘Us.’

In the industry, there hadn’t been much opportunity for dating. Hookups were few and far between with trusted partners; none of them serious enough to commit to but they took care of each other’s needs. Porter took care of his career, but he wouldn’t mind if he took him apart instead. He sat across from the man fantasizing about how easily he could pick him up and pose him into whatever position he saw fit. The idea left him desperate.

When Porter summoned him for a meeting, he definitely wasn’t expecting the best agent he’s had in a decade to drop him. He was always the one trading up, not whatever the hell this was. They’ve only been working together for a year..

“Mr. Stardiamond, I have a conflict of interest and I can no longer be your agent. I apologize.” Jace didn’t make it a habit of screaming at people on his payroll. It was a level of disgusting he didn’t tolerate, but if what he was hearing was true.. Porter was quitting- or? Firing him? He wasn’t exactly sure which suited the situation better, but he knew he wanted to scream.

“What the hell? Don’t Mr. Fucking Stardiamond me. What conflict of interest?”

“I’m attracted to you. I could get fired.” Jace’s mouth goes dry and his heart kicks off into overdrive. Porter.. liked him back?

“We can’t just talk to HR or something?” Porter looks up from his computer screen, realization dawning on him as Jace’s bright, determined eyes peer back at him. “We’d only do that if- oh?”

“Yeah, you fucking idiot. Be my boyfriend, be my agent, be both. Who fucking cares. We don’t have to go public. I don’t like- dating and publicity gets messy.”

“You’re not seeing anyone, I take it?”

“Christ, Porter. No, I jerk off thinking of you in plane bathrooms like a loser. I’ve had more wet dreams about you than I can count. I- can I kiss you again? A real kiss.”

“After I fill out the paperwork for HR.” Jace rolls his eyes, resting his chin on his hand, smiling at Porter across his desk. The walls were glass, he couldn’t do anything now, he knew that. Every inch of him burned to close the distance. To push everything off Porter’s desk and let him drill into him while the corporate jag offs milling about watched.

“Let me take you out tonight.”

Porter hadn’t considered that he’d be on a flight later when Jace offered to take him out. But here he was, on a private plane headed across the world for a dinner date. LA had all the food they could ever want, but Jace insisted this Parisian restaurant was the best of the best. He was right and Porter was almost impressed. Almost.

“You don’t have to throw money around, I already like you.” Jace hums, taking a deep sip of the top shelf wine he requested for the both of them. Porter was familiar with it. “Can you just enjoy the nice date thing I’m trying to do with you?”

“I am. But I have to meet with a client at six am and I’d like to go to gym at five without being jet lagged,” he smirks.

He knew provoking Jace like this would only push him to brat territory. He liked when Jace got bratty with him. He’d only seen it in a professional sense- as professional as Jace could manage (not much.) It was like he was allergic to playing the part outside of watchful eyes.

From what he heard, Jace was on his best behavior once he waltzed into a place where he was know, where anyone could be watching. But Porter loved how candid he could be when they were alone. Clients were entitled to their masks, he wore his own to get by, but Jace? He took his off the minute Porter closed his office door. The entire floor could see them, his body language remained tactful, but his words? Blunt, opinionated, and clever.

He was so charming, Porter imagine you had to have that quality to be an actor. Actor charm never quite broke down his walls until Jace. Something about those golden eyes and that bright smile. He was also attractive. Even in the dim restaurant lighting he looked breathtaking.

This was a good first date, but Christ he needed more. He needed to know what Jace sounded like when his fingers explored his body.

“Porter?”

“Yeah- sorry. Wine’s getting to my head a bit.”

“You took one sip,” Jace raises an eyebrow. “I don’t usually drink.” Jace eyed him curiously.

“Do you wanna head to the tarmac? We could fuck on the flight home.”

“You fuck on the first date?”

“I don’t date, remember.”

“Still dunno if I believe you or not.” Jace shrugs at that. “Is it that hard to believe? I’ve been on camera since I was a month old. There isn’t enough time or privacy in the world.”

“And you think this’ll work out?”

“I do. I’m confident.”

Five years later and Jace was still confident, but more importantly, he was right.

study consistently

I am a bit of a crammer, I've never built healthy habits of studying day by day and always focused most of the effort in the last weeks before an exam. Since I noticed how draining and counterproductive this is, and since I have more material than ever to study this semester, I need to learn to be more consistent before the exam season and to make studying an integral part of my daily life all year long. (This will require a lot of romanticization).

not skip lectures

I've always been good at this, and only missed a few lectures (we are talking 10 at most) at the end of the second semester last year. But life made me regret a lot those few lectures I missed. So I made a point to never miss one this year, unless I am sick. It is simply too important both to understand the material and to enjoy the university experience overall.

learn to study by myself

This is the hardest. I've always relied a lot on body doubling to do anything difficult, having someone watching me study or studying with me is the best way I know to stay focused and motivated. But when it's the exam season and I need to study a lot, and I am in my hometown where I have limited access to libraries, this means studying with my boyfriend all the time. We love studying together, but this summer we noticed that it drains the relationship to spend most of the time together studying, and I need to learn to focus alone in my bedroom in these months when I can afford it, so I will be able to do it when I'll be in my hometown.

phisical activity 🧘‍♀️🏞️

For the first time ever I'm interested in excercizing more and moving my body to relieve stress and feel more present. I plan to try to stretch on a semi-daily basis and to:

join a yoga/pilates class

My university offers very cheap classes for a plethora of disciplines, I'm interest in joining either a power yoga or a pilates class once a week, I will as soon as I'll get my student gym card (it's a pain in the ass I hate the uni's sport centre's office).

learn cuban salsa

Me and my boyfriend are starting a cuban salsa class in my hometown which we will attend when I'll go home on the weekends. It will probably be a private class since we are the only couple who wanted to join and it'll start next week. I'm so exited, neither of us ever danced a caraibic dance and the teacher will be the same woman who taught my parents when they met.

go hiking

In the past couple years I've been hiking maybe twice a year and I learned I really enjoy it, both because I love being in the nature and enjoying the view and because the kind of struggle it's needed helps a lot my self esteem and self discipline in the weeks after the hike. I plan on hiking at least once a month from now on and on going skiing when the weather will be colder (this is not a new thing since I learned to ski when I was 5 but it's still a goal to do it more often).

I am a messy girl, always been. I'm always running late, rarely looking put together and my space is mostly a disaster. I'm getting better and better everyday, but I still have a lot of work to do. I'm trying to be more intentional by getting ready early so I can be on time (for lectures, friend dates and catching the train), I'm meal planning more often and meal prepping when I know I won't have a lot of time to cook me lunch, I'm planning my outfits in advance and writing very detailed to do lists to make the best of my time.

explore the city

Last year I didn't explored Trento a lot, I spent most of my time in the comfort zone of the known places close to my apartment and university. It's understandable, but it's such a waste to be living in the city center of a "new" city and never explore it the way I could. It's difficult to do it while studying and taking care of myself, expecially considering that most weekends I go back in my hometown, so I will try to plan a few hours of free time once a week I will spend by going only in unknown places here in the city.

I also feel the need to spend more time in the nature both when I am in Trento and when I am in my hometown, and I probably need to plan it too.

hobbies and interests

I have a duolingo spanish class that's (angrily and aggressively) waiting for me to come back.

I have tons of fiction and non-fiction books waiting to be read.

I have a colouring book that hasn't been touched for a while.

And shows and movies that have been in my Netflix list for months while I keep rewatching Gilmore Girls over and over.

To read, to start back duolingo, to colour and to escape my comfort zone with movies and shows are not difficult things to do, I've been doing these things for years, but in the past few months I've been kind of absorbed by short form content and social media in general, I need to be more intentional in how I spend my free time. I know I can do it, I've done it before, it's just a matter of chosing to do it.
