WHEN YOUR EYES flutter open, your gaze expectantly turns towards Aizen, only to find his seat vacated. Dazedly glancing at the window, the scenery of the setting sun instantly knocks the lingering sleep out of your system, causing you to immediately sit upright. A low chuckle catches your attention and you find Aizen now sitting beside you, watching you with a smug smile.

“Why didn’t you wake me up?” you protest, glancing at the neat stack of finished paperwork with a hint of guilt.

“It seemed like you needed rest, and I can work faster without deciphering your cryptic writing.”

You ignore his incessant jab at your penmanship. “Okay, thank you, but I still need to double check them.” In case he orders the Central 46 to off themselves or something.

“By all means.”

Much to your annoyance, Aizen remains seated beside you, observing you with his chin propped on his palm. After several minutes of enduring his stare, you turn your head to face him.

“Can you please go back to your seat?”

“Why? Am I distracting you?”

“No, you’re annoying me.”

He feigns hurt, though his shit-eating grin gives away his amusement. “Ah, you wound me. Is this how you treat someone who helped you with your share of work?”

“I already thanked you.”

“You didn’t sound grateful enough.”

You roll your eyes. “What do you want then?”

Pleased with your surrender, he fixes you with a suggestive gaze, his hand reaching out to play with your hair. “Come on now. You know exactly what I want.”

Visibly cringing at his innuendo, you slap his hand away. “Are you in heat? Because I wasn’t aware that men can ovulate.”

Aizen regards you with a deadpan expression before lowering his hand.

“You should spend less time with Sarugaki Hiyori and Yadomaru Lisa. I do not appreciate their vulgar influence on your vocabulary,” he remarks, voice so flat that he actually sounds disappointed for once. “Anyway, ignoring the fact that your mind is perpetually in the gutter—”

“It’s not.”

“—you can thank me by staying here in the Soul King Palace.”

“You already know I can’t.”

He hums in challenge. “Are you sure? What if I murder your little division and seize the palace in your absence?”

“Go ahead. If you have the luxury of time, that is,” you retort, tapping the pile of documents on the table. “While I'm in Seireitei, you will be the one handling all the paperwork here.”

Aizen barely stops himself from grunting. When he said he wanted to ascend to Heaven, he pictured something akin to sitting on an exalted throne—not behind a desk full of unfinished reports.

Glaring at you from behind the reading glasses that he has been forced to wear again, he mutters.

“Insufferable woman.”

as promised, the spy x fam parody AU

I had some fun thinking about this like 2 years ago and only made a couple of sketches at the time.. but then I started cleaning them up last month and before I knew it, it spiraled out of control to become this monstrosity. I can't help it, as you can all tell by now, I love coming up with scenarios to get all my little guys interacting with each other

some details i didn't put in:

the Kudou parents are absent like in the show

whatever is happening on Haibara's end is probably super messed up but I haven't thought of any of the details

Akai gets fancy tech stuff, like the voice changer, from Agasa. Agasa comes to help babysit Conan sometimes and he gives him all his little gadgets. Akai hasn't said anything about it but figures he could use it considering the amount of crime he comes across

the facility shinichi was in is like in the original story, it exists to research esp to create super soldiers which is why he knows everything he knows

Conan regularly eavesdrops on Akai and Rei's top secret phone calls which is how he learns their real names. He can't help it, he has really good hearing

Conan and Subaru have different last names because Conan thinks "Okiya" is lame and wants to keep the one he made up on the spot. Their story is that when Subaru and Conan's mother (Edogawa Fumiyo) married, they both kept their own last names and Conan was given Edogawa when he was born. They've kept it this way to "remember Conan's dead mother"

You're not wrong for feeling sad or disappointed or even betrayed when a fic you put time and work into gets very little attention. But I do want to remind you that one (1) kudos is a whole-ass human being who read through what you wrote, experienced it, thought about it, and realized they felt so strongly positive about it that they had to send that feeling to you. Try to let the feeling reach you. Feel that you changed someone's day, maybe even more.

Be proud of what you've done, even as you wish you did more.

some golden guards + caleb

i wanted to take a break and do some character design of a few golden guards based off of some of the ones seen briefly in canon. i also drew hunter and caleb as references for faces and stuff. i tried to make them as similar as possible, but also looking very individual to one another. since belos claimed that hunter looks the most like caleb, i tried to stay true to that while keeping the other three looking similar but not quite as identical. anyways i love them <3 they’re like the most mentally ill family ever to me

these weren’t supposed to be real ocs or anything but then i ended up giving them names and backstories and so i wrote a little about them aaaand now im obsessed. i will try to make a full body ref for them, especially alistair and/or constance, if i have time
