"Three hundred kisses? That's nothing! I'll give you FIVE hundred!" Aaravi is basically going to pounce Zoe. The kissathon will commence immediately. She has no idea what the date is going to be, but even besides her enjoyment of Zoe's company, the promise of XP was enough to stoke her interest in virtually anything at all.
"OOOOH brave adventurer, I bequeath upon thou this quest most personal..."
"Come with me on a date. But first give me 300 kisses."

"Hell yes I am! I'm always up for a quest, you know that, especially from you!"
"Oh adventurer, I do have a worthy quest for you, though. Art thou brave enough to accept? Dareth thou tarry forth?"

"Well damn, I was kinda hoping the distortion was quest-worthy." She supposes if it was a yearly event it made sense they didn't need to go on a quest to fix it.
"Wahahaha~ That's better. It's just needing to readjust to the energies of this realm. Leylines are resettling themselves, that's all. Nothing too interesting on that front."

The dame produced a card in a practiced motion, and something told me that she'd done it innumerable times before. Was she a businesswoman? Or just well connected? A glance at her card told me it wasn't the former. Nothing besides a name and a number.
"I'll admit, Miss Granja, this isn't the sort of work that I'm accustomed to." I gestured lazily, the smoke from my cigarette curling lazily into the fan. "But I can walk you through my process, if you like. Unless you'd just like to pick my brain... you can call me Avery, if you like. Or Desroches, if you don't."
He shifts around in his seat and rummages through an inner pocket beneath his coat, producing a small card out of it and placing it on the table in that same practiced grace, aged to perfection. On the fine card stock, his name was written. Only one word. Underneath was a phone number. That was it.
"Recently I got into detective serials. I want to know more about the logic that comes with the line of work. I came looking for a detective to watch at their work. Will that be too much to ask? I'll compensate you for your time."

The dame entered like no other dame ever had- walking with the confidence and assuredness of someone who had no need of a private eye. Had a face of experience and a voice to match, which told me that he knew exactly what he wanted- and some part of me couldn't help but hope he wanted me. I quashed it down, that small voice, and got back to the question. No one had ever asked me that in those particular words, so I had to consider it for a moment, chewing over a proper problem.
"The way I see it, if I wasn't good at my job, I'd be out of business or dead by now." The exact correct amount of nosey to be. Enough to solve problems, but little enough to avoid creating new ones.
"No need. Already have mine." No matter where he went, he carried a pack with him. Nicotine to calm the nerves, to heighten awareness, to feel the rush after the gaps in life. A strange femme fatale entered the office, body clothed not in a dress, no makeup to hide the wrinkles around the eyes and the laugh lines of disappearing smiles. Simply one that walked with a straight gait, the sway of the hips implying a bad knee more than anything, and the graceful movements one of a practiced writer taking the seat again. "Do you consider yourself good at your job?"

@royalreef
"Monster High, of all places..." I didn't abhor the hustle and bustle- I lived in the city, after all, but dealing with high schoolers was usually beyond my pay grade. They had teachers for that, didn't they? I did my best not to get mixed up with royalty, now- the crown is heavier on the ones around it than below it. And with how close this case was taking me, I could feel the ache working through my skull.
"I just had to take this case..."

It was a miserable day, gray skys and drizzling rain... a perfect day to sit in my office and smoke. I didn't expect any clients to arrive- I had made enough to pay rent and buy a spare pack of cigarettes. I took my one available indulgence happily, even as my eyes caught a shadow moving behind the frosted glass of my office door. If someone was here to intimidate me, it wouldn't be the first time, but my intuitions told me that a small amount of the luck I was owed had finally come through. As they entered, I shook another cigarette from the pack and held it out to them. "Can I offer you a smoke?"

"You want me to keep a secret? Hypothetically, if I were to keep this secret, who would it be from?" It really depends... she loves keeping secrets, but something big enough she would have an obligation to report.
She was just going to move on- hell, she wasn't going to engage with this lady either, she was on this mission to gather intel, not get into pointless conflict that would just leave things more unstable even if she did manage to survive the encounter. Buuuuuut now she was tempted. She wasn't going to ask him to look, but now he was offering a secret...
❝Ah…yeah, I forget Urahara-san rubs a lot of people the wrong way… Can't say I blame you on avoiding the ire of Soi Fon…❞ He nods, closing his eyes in contemplation. Maybe it was worth it to offer…?
❝Say…would you keep a secret for me, if I helped you find this lady? Hypothetically.❞ Ichigo's been pointedly ignoring the mention of him attracting trouble, and ignores this insinuation that he can't take care of himself in a fight. It makes him bristle, but it may have been genuinely her being concerned. People tended to underestimate him all the time, after all. But he's going to offer to help anyway. Because he's stupid, probably.

"Shou, truly, neither of us would be the same, should we not know one another." She shifts, turning to face Shou, her free hand coming to rest on her shoulder. "I love you, Shou. I cannot even describe how it felt to see you leading the effort to free me and bring me back... it's something I'll never forget for the rest of my life."
"I wasn't originally a Buddhist till after meeting you. Though certainly meeting you was one of the happiest occasions of my life." Not that she learned such words for hitting on girls, far as she's concerned, Byakuren all she needs. If anything as a youkai born from stories, using her free time to read such stories, especially while waiting for a chance to free Byakuren, had her learning quite a bit.

"No debts! I am totally debt free!" Admittedly, there are things she probably should owe people for, but she decided she didn't. "Are ya gonna take care of my finances for me, Riley? Want me to start collectin' reciepts?" She chuckles. "A nest egg? If I want a chunk of change, I'll sell off some of the devil crap I've got lying around."
“Yeah, fair. God forbid you start paying back any of your debts. Remind me how you used the proceeds from our sparring sessions?" It's not that serious a rebuke. Riley shrugs, going for a different tack. "I’m not really saying you should sell out. I’m saying that a little merchandising and a little nest egg couldn’t hurt.”

"You just seem to attract trouble, so instead of following you I thought I might be direct." Not that she hadn't followed him before.
She makes a face at the mention of Urahara. "Hardly. The last thing I need is for my captain to find out I asked Urahara for anything." Not to mention- the man was dangerous. She didn't want to get tangled up in... all that.
"Well, if you haven't seen her, I'll keep looking. If you see her, try not to get her attention. She's already killed one shinigami this month."
The russet-haired boy sighed, ruffling his hair a bit. ❝It's not like I'd be able to sense her, even if she wasn't hiding it.❞
Ichigo knew that he was still pretty pathetic at most things shinigami, save for his zanpakuto and fighting skills, but it didn't help to be reminded of it. ❝Have you checked with Urahara yet? I think he's maybe got something that you could use to track or keep an eye out for her?❞
Or…he could try to track her if the other had something from the fugitive. But was it worth the risk of her killing him over his hollow reiatsu coming through?

Ah, the subtle tightening of the face. That usually happened when younger shinigami heard tell of the nibantai. Kyoko didn't think it was unfair, the nibantai was, of all the divisions, most likely to get their hands dirty.
It was inconvenient, though.
"It makes sense, they'd suppress their reiatsu, especially traveling through here," A town inexplicably ripe with spiritual activity- a perfect place to hide. "A shorter woman with a bob cut. Usually carrying her zanpakuto across her back. Besides techniques, that's really all we have on record."
❝Nibantai… A rogue shinigami? I can't say I've seen anything suggesting one passed through.❞ Ichigo's face closed off a bit when the second was mentioned, he didn't bother hiding it. It wasn't his favorite division, but he didn't bother lying to the woman or impede her investigation. He really just didn't want to get involved with them.
❝Can you describe them to me, at least? So I can keep an eye out for them.❞

The cafe is going to be relocated soon! There's going to be a dip in stream activity starting November 1st and extending for about a week, maybe a little less as we move everything into an upgraded space! An upgraded space means there are going to be a bunch of improvements in the time after, such as being more available to everyone, improved interior and exterior design, and possibly even a makeover for myself!
That is to say, in the coming months I plan to buckle down and start multistreaming, doing art streams again, and improving the visuals of my stream! I hope you all support me as I do the best I can to improve!
Basically, I'm going to be moving on November 1st and it's going to disrupt things a bit! Any support you can offer would be super appreciated in the meantime as I try to improve my setup and my streams/pay for expenses etc
