It Will Be Okay
Pairing: Eddie Diaz x reader
Summary: You're a new recruit at the 118 and Eddie is there for you after an emergency.
Word Count: 910
A/N: Hey guys! This is part of the Buddie August and I hope you like it!
Divider made by @firefly-graphics
Buddie-August hosted by me and @buckys-wintersoldier
Prompt: Recruit
911 Masterlist | Main Masterlist
Today would be your first day as a firefighter recruit at the Fire Station 118. You were so excited when you were told which station would be yours and couldn’t wait to meet your new colleagues. In the last few days you have become more and more nervous. Being a firefighter has always been a dream of yours and now joining a station is so exciting. You have heard that firefighters are like a family and hope you get along with the others there and you maybe build a good friendship.
As soon as you walked into the fire station and were greeted by a very friendly Captain, you knew you were going to like it there. Captain Nash went upstairs with you where your other colleagues were. Some sat at the table while someone else cooked something. When you walked into the room, some of them were already looking over at you and Bobby.
“Guys, listen, I already told you that a recruit is gonna join us today. And here she is.” Bobby announced with a smile. The others came closer and started to introduce themselves.
“I’m Hen. It’s great to finally have another woman here.” She said and you had to chuckle. The next ones to introduce themselves were Chim and Ravi.
“I’m Evan Buckley, but everyone calls me Buck.” He said with a smile.
“Hey, I’m Eddie and welcome to the 118.” Eddie greeted you and you smiled back at him. You all talked for a few minutes about the station and some random things. You quickly realized that they were all really good friends.
“Eddie will show you around and then we’ll have dinner later.” Bobby said and Eddie nodded.
“Come, let’s start downstairs.” You followed him downstairs, and Eddie showed you everything, from the firetrucks, where they have everything they need and the locker room. Eddie talked a lot, and you asked him a few questions too. He was really friendly and nice to you.
“If you ever need anything, you can always come to me. And there’s really no need to be nervous, everyone here is really great and I think you’ll like it here.” Eddie told you.
“Thank you.” You said with a smile and Eddie smiled back at you. After he showed you around, you had dinner. Shortly after you all finished dinner, you had your first call. You mostly stayed by Eddie’s side, trying to help as best as you could.
It’s been two weeks since your first day at the 118. They have all become good friends of yours, especially Eddie. You were mostly paired on calls with him and sometimes Buck was also included. Sometimes you also spend some time together after work or text each other.
On this day you were called to a major emergency. Captain Nash ordered that Buck, Eddie, Ravi and you would go into the burning building while Chim and Hen dealt with the people outside. Then everything happened so fast. When the fire was almost gone, you saved a young man and Buck helped you bring him out of there. Hen took care of him, but then he suddenly collapsed….and then you heard Hen say the time of his death. Buck put his hand on your back but you couldn’t look at him now, you just looked at the ground. Then he quickly pulled you into a comforting hug. You tried not to cry and looked out for Eddie as you pulled away. You saw him standing next to Bobby and giving you a small smile.
Later when you got back to the station, you walked straight to the bathroom. You needed to be alone for a minute. When you came out, Eddie was already waiting for you.
“Are you okay?” He asked worried and you just nodded, but he could tell it wasn’t true. Your shift was over and you all left the station. You could tell the others were worried and Buck nodded at Eddie. Eddie then turned to you and walked closer to you.
“Do you want to come with me to my house? Buck picks Christopher up from school and takes him to the zoo…so it would be just us.” He asked.
“Yeah, I would like that.” Eddie smiled at you and you walked with him to his car. You were really calm on the drive to his house. When you walked into his house, you both sat down on the couch and after a few minutes you suddenly started to crying. He pulled you into a hug and started rubbing your back.
“It’s okay. Everything will be okay …. I’m here.” He whispered a few times. He held you close and with every word he said you began to calm down a bit. After a while you stopped crying and pulled away.
“I’m just thinking what if I had found him sooner or-“You wanted to continue but were interrupted by Eddie.
“No, don’t do that Carino. It wasn’t your fault.” Eddie said in a soft tone. This was the first time he had decided to call you that and you wondered what it means.
“It’s just so hard to believe that, Eddie.”
“I know and it’s completely normal that you feel that way.” He reached for your hand and then started telling you how he feels sometimes and somehow you had the feeling that he was right and everything will be okay.

Maybe an enemies to lovers thing? 😭 I was also wondering if it could be set when bunk’d was taking place if that makes sense! If not that’s ok :) Have a nice day or night.(excuse my English not my first language lol)
Lost (Ravi Ross x GN!Reader)
Summary: You get lost with one of the only people at camp you can't stand and somehow it's your fault? Who's leaving the other if a bear comes? Who's taking the last life jacket and leaving the other? Whose dislike of the other is just intense admiration that they don't know how to handle? Pronouns: You/Yours Warnings: They talk about/to each other rudely, in depth about parental issues lol, but other than that none Word Count: 3.4k A/N: Me saying requests are (ever) closed just means I won't respond to them quickly or look at them closely. If it's open it means I can write for them and I know for a fact I'll be able to post it. Don't worry, you can still send stuff in, it's okay.
Camp Kikiwaka was a summer camp placed in the outskirts of Maine where a bunch of kids would either complain due the lack of cell service or would find comfort in one another through competitions. Most everyone at Camp Kikiwaka got along, that was mainly due to the counselors who pushed everyone together almost against their wills. That worked for almost everyone, almost.
You were extremely likable, people wanted you on their teams, in their campsites, at sleepovers, etc. You were a caring and sweet person who people got along with. This meant you were basically friends with everyone. That wasn’t true though, it wasn’t true because someone in the camp absolutely despised every single thing you did.
That person's name was Ravi Ross, someone who people enjoyed the company of. They thought he was intelligent, helpful, resourceful, and interesting as well as fun. He was also someone you decided to name ‘Try Hard Rich Boy’ because he tried way too hard for a camp where the main objective was to have fun. From the nickname alone, it’s clear the sentiment he shared for you was reciprocated.
Both of you understood the lack of bond the two of you had, and neither of you cared. Sure, you had the same friends, and you were friends with his siblings, but that didn’t matter. You tried to keep any sort of conversation short, and it lasted the majority of the time at camp.
You had to go to the Grizzly cabin one day to grab something from Xander for Zuri. The curly haired girl was currently busy on the docks and kindly bribed you to go instead, to which you agreed after much persuading. You took your time and knocked before letting yourself in due to a lack of response, Zuri said the item was in a bag with her name on it, it should’ve just been on one of the dressers. You knew Xander wouldn’t mind, so you shrugged and began your search.
As you looked you heard a bit of a heavy walk so you turned around and were met face to scales with Mrs. Kipling, one of your favorite campers of Camp Kikiwaka. You smiled gently and crouched down to her, gently using your finger to gently rub from her head to her mid-back. Mrs. Kipling let out a small hum of a hiss which you always took as enjoyment since she never did much other than scoot a bit closer to you.
You were so caught up with the seven foot long lizard that you didn’t notice one of the Grizzly cabin members walking in.
The person scoffed and walked forward, “Can I help you?” They asked, the familiar accent filling your ears, causing your eye to lightly twitch in frustration.
You stood up and turned to look Ravi Ross in the eyes with a blank expression, “Nope.” You spoke simply, moving your head to the side and walking to the dresser on Xanders side, quickly snatching the bag and walking out the cabin, closing the door behind you.
Ravi rolled his eyes, not even looking back to where you walked away. He simply tilted his head down to Mrs. Kipling and frowned, “Traitor.” He spoke with a huff, walking towards the bathroom.
He never enjoyed the fact that his closest companion enjoyed your presence at all. He thought his best friend since his childhood would at least be on his side, but every day he is proven wrong.
Short exchanges, dirty looks, sighs of frustration, and that was it. That was your dynamic, which the two of you were fine with. Everyone else on the other hand, absolutely hated it.
All of your friends were sat in the middle of the cafeteria as you were helping a camper put up banners and Ravi was on the other side, clipboard in hand, giving other campers directions to follow.
Emma put her head down on the table, “I’m sick of this.” She groaned, lifting her head so her chin would sit on her forearms.
Xander nodded, rubbing circles into her back as he looked around the table. “There’s gotta be something we can do, right?” He asked, looking between the two sides of the cafeteria. “I mean, they’ve been so rude to each other since camp started.”
“I know!” Zuri interjected, “I’m tired of trying to get them to talk by sending them to do my chores.”
Everyone looked over at Zuri with confusion, Lou especially. “For once, I’m going to ignore that you just said that.” The brown haired girl said, turning to face Xander. “I don’t know how we would fix…” She paused, waving her hands in the two general directions, “that.”
Tiffany gently rocked herself, “I mean, if they were forced to be together, maybe that would help.” She suggested to which the table hummed in agreement.
“I know if Gladys told them to be partners on something, they wouldn't be able to argue it.” Jorge nodded to his own words, crossing his arms on the table, “That woman is scary.” He spoke lowly, staring down as if he was getting some sort of flashback to every horrifying thing their camp owner has ever done.
Xanders eyes brightened up and he stood up suddenly, “I have an idea.” He told everyone before rushing off, leaving the group at the table with no explanation.
Before the end of the day, Xander was walking into the cafeteria with the menacing woman herself. She looked…bored to say the least.
“Campers!” She yelled out, causing the attention to be drawn to her immediately, which she genuinely enjoyed. She sighed before scratching at her leg that was shown under her cargo shorts, “We’re having a camp activity in a few days, something of the sorts of an ‘adventure quest’.” She told the campers surrounding her, air quotes around ‘adventure quest’. Gladys rolled her neck a bit before continuing, “I need two campers to go out to one of our set up camps about half an hour from here to gatherer the supplies from this list.” She explained, paper list in hand
No one raised their hands so Xander coughed a bit, before whispering into Gladys’s ear.
The woman rolled her eyes and pointed to you, “You, and…” She trailed off, looking around before her sharp gaze set on Ravi, “you.” She spoke, pushing the list into Ravis chest before walking off, not letting either of you argue with the decision. “And you need to leave today! Supplies will be provided by your counselors!” She yelled out her final demand before her footsteps got quieter by the second.
The cafeteria was silent as they watched you and Ravi Ross glare at each other. Everyone was highly concerned whether either of you would return from this trip since neither of you are very team friendly with one another.
Not another word was passed between anyone as you and Ravi walked out, in silence, to your own cabins. Xander and Lou looked at each other, a bit of worry in their glance but they hoped it would work. You two were responsible enough to at least take care of one another if the time came, right?...Right?
Lou sent you on your way with a backpack full of camping gear just in case it took longer to get to the camping site. It was pretty late in the day so she wanted to be safe rather than sorry. She sent you off with ‘Be safe’, ‘Don’t kill each other’, ‘If you see the cases of sodas we hid there, bring back a few cans.”
When you finally walked out of your cabin, away from Lou’s smothering, you found Ravi getting the exact same treatment from Xander, an equally heavy bag on his back. The sight was honestly kind of funny, Xanders hands gripping Ravis shoulders as he gave him a stern ‘talking to’.
After the warnings ended, Ravi turned to go to your cabin, but noticed you were already ready, grin on your face.
“What’s so funny?”
Your smile dropped, “Let’s just go.” You spoke, turning to the trail path, Ravi following with no complaints as he wanted to get this over with as quick as possible. The two of you passed by your friends and other campers waving you off and wishing you well, telling you both to be careful, which you both would try to.
Once you got to the path, you were met with a fork in the road almost immediately. Ravi suggested right, near the deeper portion of the forest where you’d be able to find more signs for where the campsite was. You suggested left where you guys were closer to the shore of the lake.
Both of you knew that either direction would lead to the camp site since it was just ahead, it wasn’t in the middle of the forest, but it wasn’t on the beach.
After a bit of debating, you decided to choose Ravis way. His way was helpful as you saw the arrow signs directing you both to the site. You guys were making good time, the sun hadn’t set and you guys were almost there, you were almost hopeful.
Almost. And that almost was crushed the moment Ravi stopped walking.
You nearly ran into his back before stepping to the side, “Why’d you sto-” Your sentence was interrupted when you saw the large sign practically screaming at them ‘WAY BLOCKED, UNSAFE TRAIL’
Both of you groaned, and looked around for another way.
Ravi huffed, “If we go back without even getting to the camp in the first place, Gladys will have our heads.”
“You don’t think I know that?” You snarled, rolling your eyes. “Let’s just try to find a way around.” You spoke, stepping around to find a different trail that went the same direction, but was longer than the original one.
Walking, walking, and more walking with extremely heavy bags and short patience, wasn’t fun.
“Why did we have to go this way specifically?” Ravi asked, knowing there were two other paths that could have potentially been better than this one.
“Because it’s easier.” you answered quickly, stepping forward, looking around more, using the lasting sunlight to get as far as you could.
“No, it’s no-”
You quickly turned around to face him, “Im sorry.” You spoke suddenly.
“You’re…sorry?” Ravi asked, clearly confused from his expression and tone of voice.
You nodded, “Yes, I’m sorry that you're such a control freak that you can't have anyone but yourself have their way.” You told him with a tilt of your head, a glare forming on your face.
Ravi gave you a sarcastic laugh before pushing past you, continuing to walk. “If you only have insults to spit out, just be quiet.” He told you without turning around.
You simply rolled your eyes before following him.
It was getting dark, dark enough to the point you guys couldn’t see where you were going and you felt like you were going in circles.
Ravi hit his forehead slightly, “You’re the reason that we’re lost, you don’t even know where this trail leads!” He suddenly groaned out, turning towards you, you thought. You couldn't tell, it was pitch black.
“We’re in the woods, I think we have bigger problems than ‘who got us lost’.” You started, pulling your bag off your back to pull the tent. “Which is you by the way.”
“How is this my fault?” Ravi asked, doing the same as you, pulling out flashlights so neither of you would mess something up with the excuse of it being nightfall.
“You took over walking in the front, you lead us deeper into the woods.”
“And you didn’t want to speak up?”
You turned and faced him, puffing out your chest and holding up your finger, “If you have nothing but insults to say, just be quiet.” You repeated his words before rolling your eyes and turning back to putting up your tent.
Ravi simply scoffed and went to get firewood, deciding not to talk to you because he felt as if his head was being constantly twisted past its limit when speaking to you.
Over time, he got the fire started, and pulled out some food to cook for you to choose from. You found a pretty good stone slab to set one of your prepared towels onto so you weren’t just placing food on the forest rocks. You also pulled a few snacks out of your bag, tossing a few to Ravi without a word. He turned to you with furrowed brows, confused by your sudden act but you were turned towards the fire, already beginning to fix up the food you guys had brought along.
You both sat in a tense but a more comfortable silence than either of you were used to.
Ravi broke the silence, looking up at you for a moment before looking back down to the snacks he just opened as he waited for you to be done with cooking. “I still think we could’ve taken another path.”
“And I’m still sure the path I chose is less deadly and still faster even though we’re camping out.” You answered, the light glistening in your eyes.
There was no response to that, so you left it at that…until you heard rustling.
You looked back and noticed only one tent was set up, yours. Ravi seemed to be having trouble with his and you couldn’t even find it in you to laugh, because it really was late.
“Do you need help?”
“No.”
“It’s been half an hour-”
“I don’t need your help, okay?”
You blinked at him before taking the food off the fire so you wouldn’t burn it. You stood up, brushing yourself off, “You are so incredibly stubborn, to the point that it’s ridiculous.” You stated, walking to him and helping him put in the rods, ignoring his protests. “You hate asking for help, even when you really need it.” You continued on, snapping at him to move to the other side to which he reluctantly followed. “You think you need to do everything yourself, fix everything yourself, for what?” You asked him, finishing the seemingly simple set up of his tent.
Ravi shook his head, choosing to ignore you, sitting on the side of the campfire.
“It’s as if you think no one sees how hard you’re working, trust me everyone sees it.” You grumbled, crossing your arms as you walked to the other side of the camp fire, “It’s infuriating how hard you try with something you really don’t need to put that much effort in.”
“What about you? Huh?” Ravi interrupted, tilting his head, stepping closer to you. “You just blank on people.”
“Blank on-?”
“When you believe you failed at something, it’s like you go dark in your head .” Ravi explained, expression hardened. “What’s up with that?” He asked, raising a brow. “You do so well in everything and when you don’t get the results you want, you shut down.”
You blinked at him and looked him up and down, “Why do you watch me so hard to notice that I get into my head?”
“Why do you observe me to the point you notice how hard I work?”
There was silence from the two of you, just a stare from across a dancing fire. A stare of two campers who believed they were comfortable in each other's hate, that they didn’t notice how much they really knew each other more than anyone.
Ravi seemed to be the person who spoke up more, which was surprising, but at the same time it wasn’t.
He looked away, tongue poking the inside of his cheek, “I don’t ask for help because my parents weren’t much help.” He spoke, sniffling ever so slightly as a distraction to his far off gaze.
“What do you mean?”
“Me and the majority of my siblings are adopted.” He told you, finally turning to look back at you, not expecting your eyes to already be on him. "Since my parents are famous, they have to be gone a lot, so we had nannies.” He began to explain, swallowing harshly, “Those nannies took care of us more than our parents did.”
You furrowed your brows, “So, them sending you to camp…?”
“It's like another nanny situation.” He answered, sighing a bit. “We had nannies as we grew up, and our last nanny was our longest nanny, she was great.” He told you with a small smile, “She was there for years, and honestly was the best person who deserved only great things.” He explained to you fondly to which you listened. “She left so our parents could stay for good, but clearly, that didn’t last that long.”
Your expression formed into something Ravi couldn’t explain, he couldn’t tell if you were sad for him, felt sympathy, but the feeling was comforting since he never really talked to his own siblings about this.
“What I’m trying to say is that there’s a freedom you have when you feel as if you’ve been abandoned.” He swallowed harshly as he tried to explain, “It just kind of sucked because I already felt as if I was abandoned as a child since there was a need for me to be adopted. Going through that twice isn't a good feeling.” Ravi told you, trying to laugh through it. “I don’t ask for help, because I didn’t really get help until our recent nanny, and now that she’s gone, I just don’t have that kind of easy connection to ask anymore.”
You hummed a bit, “I wasn’t necessarily saying you not asking for help is a terribly bad thing.” You told him slowly, tilting your head to the side as you looked away from him. “It’s admirable, you do things on your own, you’re intelligent, I know you’re capable of more than the average person.” You complimented him, to both of your surprise.
Ravi continued to listen, adjusting himself to be more comfortable.
“I was just saying that because it’s worrying.” You answered truthfully. “We keep our conversations short, I know, but I still see you working on millions of projects a day.” You explained, smoothing out your knitted brows, “I’m worried you’re going to drop and that’s when people are going to notice that you’re overworking yourself on things you shouldn’t be overworking yourself on.” You told him, puffing air out of your cheeks.
The boy across the fire nodded a bit at your words, “You weren’t telling me to stop trying so hard because you thought I was irritating, you were saying it because…”
“Camp is where you can relax for a minute, you don’t have to prove yourself in anything that much.” You completed his thought for him. “You are a try hard and it’s annoying, because it’s concerning.”
“Well, since we’re sharing concerns, why do you shut down?” Ravi asked you, wondering if you’d answer or not.
You chuckled a bit before inhaling deeply, “If things don’t go perfectly for me, I feel as if it was better not trying at all.”
“Why?”
“Because everything I’ve ever done to this point was never good enough unless it was absolutely perfect.”
Ravi hummed a bit, nodding, “Was it because of family?”
You nodded with a bit of a scrunched nose, “It’s hard to let go of what your parents put onto you for your entire life, when they’re not around.” You answered honestly, waving at a few bugs around. “If I don’t get everything perfect, what use will I be to anyone?”
“You’re plenty of use.” Ravi interrupted your words, “You help everyone at camp, even the counselors, even Gladys.” He began to list off, scratching at his neck. “I notice that you get in your head, but now that you’re telling me this… you’re comparing yourself to a standard you’ll never reach.”
“Perfection is reachable, actually, if you try hard enough.”
“Not at camp kikiwaka where the boats are about to fall apart and the food barely looks edible.” He answered with a slightly straight face.
His blank tone and expression caused you to burst out into laughter and nod, “I guess you’re right.”
It was a sudden camp trip where suddenly the two of you felt like you could actually talk to each other. A night of camping where you both realize you had more in common than you actually thought.
A night where neither of you minded that you would be spending extra time with one another to get to the other campsite and back to kikiwaka.
You smiled at Ravi, the food now done as you exchanged stories about your friends and activities you’ve done over the summer. “You know, even though I’m sure we’re lost, I guess I’m glad it’s with you.”
Ravi chuckled and shook his head, rolling his eyes playfully, “Me too.”

word count: 2.9k
warnings: mentions of small injury, minor blood, lmk if anything else
you collapsed on your bed the moment your knees hit the mattress. burying your face into your pillow, hoping the day just fades away. you arrived home, the house empty due to your parents still working. you were relieved because you truly had no energy to greet anyone - even the trudge up the stairs was a challenge enough.
your day had been rough, to say the least. you'd woken up late, sleeping past your alarms and snoozes. when you'd awoken you had less than twenty minutes to get ready, which meant no time to come up with a cute outfit. you slapped on some jeans, a cropped graphic tee, and jewlery and called it a day. you managed to put on some lipstick and mascara in the school parking lot before you ran to clas.
in the process of running, you also fell and scraped your knee; you didn't even check the wound because you were rushing to avoid the tardy bell. spoiler: your knee was crying in pain.
you were late by a minute, yet your first-period teacher had given you a berating in front of the whole class for it. even though he literally walked in a few seconds before you.
you went toward the back of the class to put your phone in the mandatory basket with everyone else's phone, and that was when you realized you'd left your phone at home. you mentally facepalmed yourself as you remembered you'd left it on your bed when you were hastily putting on your shoes. hopefully, ravi didn't require anything urgent that couldn't wait til you got home.
you later learned, after a random kid pointed it out, that you had a splotch of red on the knee area of your light colored jeans. turned out your skin had scrapped enough to draw blood.
at lunch, pip, the prepared person she was, helped clean your cut with anitbacterial wipes and put a bandage over your knee. cara even tried to get the red stain out, but it was smudged it further around your legs.
cara apologized profusely , but you brushed it off, telling her it didn't look that bad and they were just jeans. however, inside, you were ready to lose your last straw and mourn your favorite jeans. you swore you had the worst luck today.
you repeated it over and over in your head, school's almost over you can do this. but it was certainly not over for your luckless day. the librarian, who already hated you, dress coded you for your shirt, and sent you to the office. the principal was ready to call your parents to bring you a shirt, but you quickly said you had friend who'd be abe to give you one.
to be honest, you were even sure if cara or pip had any spare clothes, and to add to your misfortune, they didn't have any spare shirts. you were ready to break down right there and then, but held it off and reassured them it was alright.
you were ready to throw the towel in and call your mom and face her wrath for disrupting her at work when connor entered the conversation saying he had an unused gym shirt. it could've fit like adress on you, but you gratefully took it.
the final bell finally rang, signaling the end of the day. you didn't waste time in packing up and look for your car keys inside your backpack. but being so distracted led you to stumble down the school stairs. you were utterly humiliated and knew multiple people had witnessed the scene. you had no choice but to just get up and walk out.
traffic was horrible on the way home, and multiple angry drivers honking didn't help. when you finally parked into your home's driveway, you leaned your head against the steering wheel and burst into tears. the events of the day weighed on you heavily. suppressing all your emotions all day made everything you were feeling just come crashing down in that moment.
after half an hour, you were calmed down, but your eyes were swollen and your throat was sore. you prayed none of the neighbors witnessed your breakdown, you think you'd start crying again if that were the case.
now, you were in bed, exhausted from your crying, and ready to just sleep whatever hours of the day were left.
the moment you closed your eyes, your phone chimed, letting you know you received a text. you knew it was ravi because you'd set his notification sound to be different. you hadn't spoken with your boyfriend all day since you forgot your phone, so he likely was asking why you didn't send him your daily random school photo. but you were just too tired to pick it up and type of reply. you told yourself you'd take a fifteen-minute nap, then call him.
your slumber was disrupted when a force was shaking your body back and forth, the repeated call of your name in the distance. you were still somewhat mentally in your dream state, so you weren't quick to respond.
"y/n!"
"babe."
"light of my life."
"my little honey butter biscuit."
"huh?"
your sleepiness was starting to fade away, and you were able to deliver a somewhat coherent response. you had to blink a few times to focus your vision on the face before you. it took you a moment to process ravi in your vision, kneeling in front of the side of the bed where your head lays. "ravi? what are you doing here?"
you yawn as you sit up on your bed and stretch out your spine, turning to face ravi. you rubbed your eyes a bit to keep them from drooping. ravi then immediately engulfed you into his arms, pushing you back onto the bed.
you were thrown aback by the gesture, but you would never object a hug from your boyfriend, especially given the day you had.
ravi pulled away, sitting down next to you on the bed. "oh my god, i thought something happened. you hadn't answered any of my texts and any time i called you, it went straight to voicemail." ravi anxiously explained, holding your face in both his hands.
"i'm sorry," you gave an apologetic peck to his lips, "i was gonna text you when i woke up from my quick nap after school." you went to grab your phone from the corner of your bed. you clicked the power button a few times, but it wouldn't turn on. your phone was dead, the reason why your alarm didn't go off and ravi's calls weren't going through. the world had to be playing a prank on you at this point.
"quick nap?" ravi furrowed his brows, "it's already 7 pm."
"what?" you exclaimed, wide-eyed. how could it already be so late? you were going to take a half-hour nap to recover your energy. you still had homework and chores to do before your parents got home. you went MIA almost the whole day, likely why ravi was so worried and came into your house. with all the murderous events this town has faced, you felt guilty for having him alarmed. horrible girlfriend award goes to you.
automatically, your face made its way into your hands from guilt and frustration of every going wrong today. you sighed heavily, holding back tears threatening to fall. even though you had a full crying session before coming in the house, you still had tears left to shed. you were trying very hard to not cry in front of ravi.
ravi reached out toward you, putting a hand on your back and a hand on your knee, “baby, what’s wrong?” he voiced with concern.
"it's nothing," you responded in a cracked voice, suppressing all your emotions. a blatant lie, that didn't even convince you, and one ravi could see through.
"c'mon, it's obviously something if it has my girlfriend so upset about it. let me see your pretty face." ravi grabs your wrists and pulls them apart to uncover your sullen face. not having the energy to resist, you opted to face your head down to your lap and have your hair cover most of your face.
“dont hide from me baby.” he whispers to you. he parts your hair behind your ears and sees your face and then moves his hand to your chin, making you look up to him with watery eyes. “now, tell me what happened. or i’m gonna just stare at your really hard until you do.” he says the last part playfully, but you wouldn’t put it past him to actually do it.
looking into your boyfriend’s eyes was enough to spill your guts. and his genuine concern for you only made you love him impossibly more. you knew it was safe to cry your eyes out around him, so finally, you let your emotions through.
you choked up for a moment trying to get a word in, but all you could do was start with a miserable sob. you go to cover your mouth with your hands to reel some of it in, but hot tears are already coming down from your eyes.
immediately, ravi pulls you into his embrace, and onto his lap - your face now smushed into his chest. tears likely staining his graphic tee, but he didn’t seem to care. he rubs a hand soothingly along your back, cooing and shushing you in attempt to help calm you down. all you could do your hold onto him tight for comfort in your troubles.
it took you a few minutes before your cries were getting dulled and you were able to breathe steadily. ravi just held you the whole time, patiently waiting for you to settle, so you can recite to him the issue.
you sniffled and moved your head away from his chest, ready to finally have a proper conversation without interruption by your hiccuped breaths. ravi began wiping any wetness from your face with his hand, then removing hair from your eyes and putting it behind your ears. “do you feel better now?”
you nodded, taking a deep breathe to further calm yourself. he gives you a small smile then plants a quick kiss on your lips. “good, now tell me what has my girl all down in the dumps.”
you crack a smile at his corny phrases, slightly feeling better. you began to recount all of the day's incidents, starting from waking up late and ending with your hysteria in your driveway. all through it, ravi held you close, rubbing small circles on the side of your thigh in a calming manner.
“so that was my shitty day pretty much. it all sounds kind of stupid now that i say it out loud to someone. sorry for worrying you over dumb stuff like this.”
“hey, anything that makes you upset is reason enough for me to start worrying.” ravi’s hand trails toward the area of your knee still stained with some of your blood, “you know what, i’m boycotting stairs. i refuse to associate with anything that harms my girlfriend.” he responds in faux seriousness. you can’t help but laugh at his behavior and playfully slap his chest lightly.
“thank you. for being the best boyfriend ever,” you say with sincerity. only ravi was the type of person who could make you laugh after bawling your eyes out.
“well, i am quite ravi-singh-ing aren’t i?” ravi cockily boasts. he flips his wrist, flipping over imaginary hair dramatically.
you rolled you eyes, “oh god, are you ever going to let that go?” you one time joked his name looked like the word ravishing when he had written it down. ever since then, he loved to constantly bring it up to boost his ego.
“never. it never gets old. and you know what your amazing boyfriend proposes?” you wait for him to continue, “a movie to remedy your shitty day.”
you pretend to think about it for a moment, “okay, but i choose.”
ravi's mouth goes agape, “what! it was my idea.” he protests.
“yeah, but its my crappy day.” you counter back.
he narrows his eyes at you, and you give your best pleading pout, “fine, i suppose it's lady's choice tonight," he relents. "you should be ever so lucky to have such a gentleman as a boyfriend.” he adds in an overdone proper tone.
“yup. i’m just the luckiest girl.” and you meant it.
"now," ravi manured his way out of your bed and stood up. he proceeds to carry your bridal style, being careful of your knee, "let's fix up your little injury."
"babe, i can walk; my leg isn't broken." despite your small protest, you move to wrap your arms around his neck for stability.
ravi, with you in his arms, walks out of your room and toward your upstairs bathroom. "excuse me for being chivalrous." he states defensively, "you should be fawning over me with heart eyes at this moment." he says a matter of factly.
you give another eye-roll to his antics, "your right my bad, let me try again." you clear your throat for effect, "on my god, ravi, you're so dashing and charming, and your good looks just stun me." you exclaim with melodramatic affection.
ravi sets you down on the gray granite counter of your bathroom next to the sink. he looks at you with a crooked smile, "that's more like it. you just forgot to mention how you dream of me at night, but it's alright - i've sleep next to you enough nights to know how much you say my name in your sleep." he winks at you with he last bit of his sentence.
you lightly hit his chest, "are you gonna continue to admire yourself or put a bandaid on me so we can watch a movie?"
"while, i'd love to do the former, i'll go with the latter. actually," he pauses, and starts digging through his pockets in search for something, "aha! here, this should make your frown turn upside down." cue another eye roll for his corny humor. he opens his palm toward you to reveal a bandaid, a hello-kitty one.
you take it with a cheerful smile, "thank you, but why do you have this?" you look up at question him.
"you mean why do i carry bandaids for my accident-prone girl?" he rhetorically counters, while kneeling down in front of your bruised knee. "i just figured if you're hurt you can at least look cute being injured."
you can't help but smile at him lovingly as he replaced your dried bloody band-aid with the pink hello kitty one. to finish off, he places a quick kiss on it. "there, all better."
yeah, it was all better now.

"hunger games? again?" ravi questions exasperatedly. you two were currently settled under your bed sheets, facing your television. ravi is sat up with your head settled on his chest and his arm wrapped around your shoulders.
the netflix app was open, and the two of you were in the process of deciding on a film. well, you were picking, and ravi kept adding in his own personal opinion that prompted you that annoyed you enough to not choose a movie. netflix recently added the hunger games movies, and you couldn't help but want to watch it - no matter how many times you'd seen it with ravi already.
is having a movie about children dying and killing each other and government control as a comfort movie a red flag? maybe.
"are you judging me, your girlfriend, right now?" you challenge with an arched brow.
ravi holds a hand to his heart, "no, no, of course not. if my girl tells me to do something, then my only option is to obey," he replies mockingly.
you nod in approval, "exactly. glad you get it." you pat the top of his head as if he were a dog who just learned a new trick.
he mimics you and then tickles your side, causing you to jolt in your spot. "shush it, and put the movie on." you give him a glare but move to grab the remote next to you, pressing play to start the film.
as the movie began and went through, the two of you commented on scenes as they came on the tv.
"if we were tributes from the same district, would you kill me?"
"most likely." you say nonchalantly.
you scoff, "gale gets more annoying the more i watch this."
"i would kill for ceasar flickerman's job." ravi expressed.
"i just know you would've fallen off that tree on your own."
"ow!- ok sorry."
after a good three-fourths of the film, your eyes get heavier. yet, you try to remain awake and respond to whatever ravi was saying. but you decide to close your eyes for a moment, claiming you'd open them again when ravi says something. however, that never came to be because you were out like a light, the noise of violence and yelling from the screen lulling you to slumber.
"okay, this is a good movie, but i refuse to watch the sequel after this too." ravi frowns when you don't respond. "baby, i was just kidding, don't give me the silent treatment." he looks down at your body, then takes notice of your closed eyes and steady breathes.
he laughs, "of course, you fell asleep, not even surprised." he leans his head down and plants a kiss on the crown of your head. he whispers to your ear, "good night. hopefully, you have a better day tomorrow, and if not, i'll always be here to cheer you up."

I see your requests are open! Would you write a ravi x reader? theres almost nothing for him lol
Baking together
Ravi Singh x fem! reader
a/n: Thank you for your request. This is my first time writing, so excuse me if it's not super good or if you think it's a bit awkward. It's short because I wrote it quickly. And thanks for being understanding while I wrote this.
The sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow over the countertops. While Ravi and I stood in the middle of the kitchen to dove into our culinary adventure, which wasn’t going to turn out well given our skills of course.
Ravi glanced at the recipe card and then back at me, a mischievous grin playing on his lips. "Ready to turn this kitchen into a battlefield of flavors?" he quipped, a twinkle in his eyes.
I chuckled, dipping my fingers into the bag of flour and sending a cloud of it into the air. "Oh, you're on! But just remember, the messier it gets, the better the result."
Flour dusted our aprons, our cheeks, and somehow, even our hair. As we mixed ingredients with both precision and a splash of spontaneity, laughter filled the air. The scent of vanilla and the warmth of cinnamon swirled around us, creating an intoxicating aroma that felt like a comforting hug.
Ravi's fingers brushed against mine as we reached for the same sugar container and shared a playful glance. "I think we might need an official referee for this baking duel," he teased, his voice a melodious rhythm in the room.
I picked up an egg and pretended to examine it like a precious jewel. "Referee, you say? Should I make a call to the baking association?"
He feigned shock. "You'd dare challenge my secret weapon—the unbeatable whisk technique?"
As we bantered, the ingredients slowly transformed into a cohesive mixture under our hands. The batter formed, smooth and tantalizing, promising a treat beyond our imagination. Ravi reached for a dollop of it and extended his flour-dusted finger toward me. "Taste test?"
I accepted the challenge, taking his finger into my mouth and savoring the sweetness. Our eyes locked, and amidst the mess and flour-covered chaos, a soft tenderness emerged in that shared moment.
Ravi leaned in closer, his voice softer now. "You know, I've heard that kisses are the best way to seal a baking alliance."
My heart fluttered as I wiped a streak of flour from his nose. "Is that so? Well, I wouldn't want to defy tradition."
Our laughter faded into a hushed pause. The kitchen, once bustling with playfulness, seemed to hold its breath. And then, with the scent of baking surrounding us like a sweet promise, our lips met in a kiss that was both tender and full of promise—much like the batter we had mixed with laughter and shared glances.

AGGGTM Pinterest fans stop being racist towards Zain Iqbal just because he isn't what you imagined. Contrary to your belief, Ravi isn't a 15 year old Pinterest model - he's 20 years old and looks like a regular guy.
Zain does not look 50 (I actually saw someone say that) and he'll be fine. If you don't like it, then don't watch - it's that fucking simple. Just say you expected a whitewashed version of him and fuck off.
