This is a blog for collecting phandom content with image/gif/video/audio descriptions or transcripts, and creating descriptions or transcripts where they don't exist.

right now I'm just one very sleepy guy (@antiadvil) so I can't promise I'll be the most active, but I want to encourage other people to add transcripts/IDs to posts they make and see as well! And if anyone is interested in helping out feel free to write some descriptions and send them my way, I also might add people to this blog if I feel reasonably confident that they'll be somewhat active.

if you're OP feel free to copy any of my descriptions into your original post, in fact I'd encourage it. okay that's it so far really. I will replace this with a real pinned post later probably.

note: I use a screenreader sometimes, but I'm not very good at it and don't have any problems seeing. I have no real qualifications here and if I'm not following best practices I welcome advice on how to do better!

New funny Medieval English knowledge: Mystery plays

So first off, they aren’t called that because they involve mystery, they’re called that for the Latin word mysterium, which means “guild”. They’re local plays sponsored by guilds, which from what I understand are basically just like medieval unions

The plays would also be stories from either the Bible itself or important religious figures’ lives, and the stories used had some correspondence to the guild putting them on. Like for example, the shipwright guilds would put on a play based on Noah’s Ark

But the one my professor mentioned as one of the more morbid, and in my opinion one of the funniest, is the nail making guild putting on a play about the Crucifixion

I noticed someone on Reddit commented something similar to my theory about how Betelgeuse and Lydia are linked (this post I wrote in October) and instead of crediting me they wrote something like "I read someone say...". I didn't think much of it, but was a little startled to see someone clearly referencing my theory without crediting me. I let it go and didn't mind it originally because I thought it was cool that this particular idea about how Betelgeuse and Lydia are linked is spreading. But now I saw a second person post, this time under a YouTube video, about the same theory but saying "Something interesting I read on Reddit about the wedding ceremony". Now THAT annoyed me because the comment on Reddit they are talking about is the one that clearly referenced my post without crediting me.

Why not say my blog name or post a link or something? Like I said, the first time I wasn't too bothered because I think it's cool that my little theory is spreading around in the fandom (and hey, maybe someone wrote a similar theory and I just never saw it, after I wrote mine, and maybe that was their source), but now that I saw this second person post about it referencing the Reddit post like it was that person on Reddit who came up with it, now I am bothered.

The person who posted on Reddit wrote "I read somewhere" so it wasn't their original thought, why not credit the source? It might not even be MY post that was their source, who the fuck knows? But I think it's shitty to make a post with someone else's ideas and NOT credit them, and then those ideas keep spreading around from that uncredited post and nobody knows where the theory actually originated.

Anyway, if their source was someone else who hadn't read my post, then I think it's cool that more people are reaching the same conclusions and coming up with the same theories, but whether it was my post or someone else's who inspired that person to post that comment, they should have credited the source of the idea they wrote about.

If you're going to make a post using the ideas someone else wrote about, then CREDIT that source! Because then the ideas just keep spreading around and then the person who originated those ideas is left uncredited and I think that's unfair.

Eden - Deep Eclipse

Enstars song was to be expected - I would not be playing rhythm game after a year if I didn't like the songs. Picking one was really hard tho! Every group has at least one song I like.... Choosing between Majestic Magic, Artistic Partisan and this was so hard :/ Went with this since it's been stuck in my head for half a day lol.

CHANGGWI (Singyeo cover)

Okay I kinda debated between using this or Sailing but chose this since there's something I really like about how it's sung. I do not know enough music terms to actually say anything deep about it tho ^^' Anyway, SIngyeo has lots of other cool covers too so I recommend checking his channel out for more.

Zen Zen Zense (Mafumafu & Soraru cover)

Go watch Kimi no Na wa. No seriously, it's a good movie. And Zen Zen Zense is it's theme song that manages to make me still feel very fuzzy and wet eyed years later. Chose the Mafumafu and Soraru cover instead of the original RADWIMPS one because it has subtitles and I really like how their voices fit the song. For anyone wanting extra brainworms to work through: lyrics of this song would make for GREAT EmetWoL (or EmetHyth or any angsty ancient x shard) ship things :3c "Or maybe I should start the whole universe again from zero? (you can't prove this song was one of the reasons Firn came to be)

Bluish Light (Arknights)

Lumen's leitmotif! Nice and calm one, with some emotional singing and a pretty catchy chorus to hum along. Stultifera Navis event had bunch of good songs, not to mention all the other songs this company churns out. I was so close to picking Mizuki's leitmotif Y1K or CC#11 main theme.

Rearranged Touhou music, yay! Again, debated between picking this or KILLOVE FIREPROOF, but I've lately ben really into the lyrics on this one. Esp the chorus - "Go forth and create, oh earthborn children of Adam who pray" is just a really cool line haha. And the whole theme of a deity granting people imagination to create their future too!

So I think with the new Ancients, people aren’t having that same mentality of “CRK’s gonna end soon with this update” that people were yesterday, but if I’m being honest…why were we all thinking that??

Granted I’m not sure if this was so much of a problem on here, I think this may have been a CRK Twitter thing more, but screw it, I don’t have a character limit here and I feel like questioning this. So this may come off as an unnecessary rant (because it probably is, but I just have to get this off my chest)

Now I mean yes, this update has the group going to Beast Yeast, but reminder that as the Episode 18 epilogue tells us, this is not the full attack on Beast Yeast, this is a preliminary scouting mission to Beast Yeast before the attack, and the traveling party only consists of Gingerbrave’s group and Pure Vanilla, not anyone else. The final battle comes later

Another reason people were saying we’re near the end of CRK is because this is the release of the final Ancient in White Lily. I mean yes, the Ancients are central to the story, so having them all released would mean we’re probably moving into a turning point in the story, similar to when they started to be released, but I really don’t think all the Ancients being released would signify the end of it. If anything, I’d assume Dark Enchantress being released would be a better signifier of the end, since she’s the big bad of the main story and hasn’t yet been released, unlike the other villains. Also they were probably going to release her this year anyways, just because any other time would be far too long (I know Golden Cheese was a year and a half wait, but I’m willing to take that as being due to the writers having to rewrite her and her story)

And also, I’ve brought this up before, but there’s also the fact that there’s the Dragon rarity, which was just introduced and currently only has one member. If they were ending it soon, they wouldn’t introduce a whole new rarity, they’d just make Pitaya a Legendary like in Ovenbreak, it’d be pointless to have a new one just for one or two characters

I think I had other points, but I’ve forgotten what they are by this point. Bottom line, I don’t see why people thought we’d be ending the story soon with this next update
