Day 3 was absolutely heart warming and breaking!! Warming cuz we get to choose flirty choices and cute reactions from our boi, and especially another side of mychael that is really relatable🫶 Breaking, cuz I we on a severe cliff hanger frrrrr😭😭😭

I just wanna say that I love the new update so much❤️❤️‍🩹❤️ it got me giggling and kicking my feet🤭

Ren'Py Ramblings below:

There's multiple ways of implementing animation, but in my case I did it with multiple frames. Here's the grabbing animation split into 8 images in the 'objects' folder:

Within the code, I define an image labelled "yank" like so, starting from the second frame to the last, leaving a time period of 0.1 second in between:

image yank: "images/objects/yank 02.png" pause 0.1 "images/objects/yank 03.png" pause 0.1 "images/objects/yank 04.png" pause 0.1 "images/objects/yank 05.png" pause 0.1 "images/objects/yank 06.png" pause 0.1 "images/objects/yank 07.png" pause 0.1 "images/objects/yank 08.png" pause 0.1

So it shows up in sequence when written as a normal image under that label:

I also did the same for Laika's tail wagging in the 'laikada' folder:

In this case the sequence ends on a repeat so the image loops:

rating broadchurch book covers

hello i like broadchurch just a tiny little bit and here is my ranking of all the different book covers (forgive me if I missed any)

1. the english paperback

8/10. pretty iconic, most popular version. i quite like the colouring but i do feel like a better picture could've been chosen?? it very much works and looks nice but it's just a little bit awkward. they're making me a tad uncomfortable. something like the s1 DVD covers might have been nicer?? but the colouring is nice and the text is well spaced at the top. plus the sticker isn't obnoxiously large

2. the german version

4/10. im kind of confused about this one, because when you search up the title it brings up a completely different movie. but it's definitely still the broadchurch book, same writers, and the sign gives it away. it's not HORRIBLE but i kinda just don't like it. the png rusty sign with the logo tacked on doesn't look fantastic. it looks a bit canva-esque and cheap, imo.

3. the french version

7/10. see, more space!!! it's the same image but a bit further away. I feel like if the colouring wasn't so yellow and that sticker wasn't so obnoxiously large then I'd actually like this more than the english one. the spacing just makes it less uncomfortable and it looks nicer. again, I don't like how yellow it is so we've lost a point for that. very close to the english paperback though

4. the hardback

9/10. i kinda love this one. it would, imo, be perfect - if it weren't for how silly danny looks and the fact that the older silhouette is very clearly none of the characters. when you look up close it's just some random guy and i just find it kinda funny. other than that, i think the blue colour really matches the vibe a lot more. the text is nicely spaced and - especially irl - it's quite nice to look at and feel. inclusion of waves + cliffs!! a lot less claustrophobic than the others.

5. the short stories

7/10. it would be 6 if it was a printed cover, but since it's just an ebook I'm giving it some leniency. we're back to being extremely claustrophobic but I do like this picture more than the other one. i feel like if alec had even a tiny bit of head room and some of the text was above them it'd be nicer?? very cluttered with all the text. but again, it's only an ebook, so doesn't matter as much.

Have you drawn Prince Cliff?

Here's Cliff!!! My plan is to make most of skywing royalty be based around chickens so my first thought I had for him was "oh my god... little chick!!!" so I tried to capture that energy. I'll eventually post the png version of the finished full body seperately. [Image ID: Two images. The first being a digital colored drawing of a skywing dragon named Cliff. He looks like a baby chicken, being extremely fluffy with early developing bird plummage, short and chubby. He is a brown red with a light orange yellow underbelly. He has dark red markings on his forehead that is pointed, and extends down his back and on his little feathery wings, knees and shoulders. He also has dark red markings right where his eyes and cheeks meet. He has pink-orange colored bird feet. He is standing, looking up happily with a face of endearment and child like wonder.
