can we talk for a moment about how rook can greet the inquisitor if both are elves?

rook will say this;

"andaran atish'an" is considered a formal elven greeting

and lavellan will respond with

and "aneth ara" is not only considered an INFORMAL greeting but is also almost strictly used by the dalish amongst themselves

while lavellan is of course dalish - and rook can be too (? or at least you could headcanon? idk it feels odd to have a vallaslin and not be dalish lol) - my rook is a city elf (while that's not a set character option like in, say, origins, she bears no vallaslin and is kinda implied to be a city elf, not dalish, in the rest of the game)

of course it does make total sense for someone, even rook, to greet the inquisitor formally, them being you know the world's saviour and a person of prestige either way, even if the inquisition was disbanded (which was the case in my run here)

but something about lavellan responding "casually" is quite funny to me lol

Idr) accidentally created a timeline where he never got super speed, and a bunch of stuff was fcked up bc of it. So he finds Batman for help and then like. Basically makes Batman watch Barry straps himself to a giant metal chair in a thunderstorm in Gotham to attempt to recreate the circumstance that made him the Flash. It was intense and I was WAY too young to be watching it at the time it's ingrained in my brain

Soooo. That poll I mentioned about the comic. I'm putting it in this post. I would appreciate all feedback from those of you that are interested in the Rasha comic and its future.

Basically like I mentioned in another post, I'm currently overworked at uni and making next parts for the comic will be difficult with the amount of things I have to prepare to pass the semester (meaning it will take me ages to get it done). That's why I want to know what you guys would prefer.

I didn’t want to derail @maryymaruu’s reply to TSAC’s ask, but I did want to elaborate a little bit more about TSAC’s location in the mountains.

TSAC is located very close to the equator, which allows them to survey the entire celestial sphere. In my head I’ve been referring to the area they’re located in the Equatorial Highlands.

The peaks of the mountains are very cold, yes, but the Highlands are technically a desert- the weather is very arid. TSAC’s surrounding location is very heavily based on the Atacama Desert in Chile, where many telescopes are located due to the lack of clouds.

I made this map a while ago showing TSAC’s location relative to their closest neighbor Fleeting Green Sunsets. FGS is located at the base of the mountain range, on the edge of a large basin. Conditions closer to ground level are much warmer, but are similarly arid and dry. Iterators in this region need special accommodations to account for limited water supply and potential flooding due to their rain output.

While not pictured in this map, there’s a large sea or ocean to the northwest, similar to the Atacama Desert’s location close to the Pacific Ocean.

Ciphertology 📻 The Patriarch

Welcome one and all to ‘Ciphertology, the second ‘tri’ (which is essentially Silas Birchtrees biggest kiss ass, Dale Dixon, taking over the cult after the fall of the cult in the 50s)

This technically isn’t relevant and is mainly just me rambling on my own interpretation of Ciphertology after the fall :P briefly

I’ve always been fascinated by cults and enjoy studying them extensively. Growing up in a religious based one myself before my family left it when I was young I gotta say- it makes it that more intriguing to dive into fictional based ones

A lot of my base stuff for ✨Ciphertology, the second ‘tri’✨ I take from a handful of cults I’ve studied, but the biggest one I model it off of in terms of religious based domineering patriarchy’s has been the FLDS cult (ifykyk)

Naturally the new leader, Emma May’s father, fits into the staple mold of this in his efforts to become ‘half the man Silas was’

I think I honestly refuse to ever draw Emma May’s father’s face directly because he as a force feels far more intimidating as just?? A giant painted eye on the back of a head-

Plus idk it feels correct narratively to only ever show this one facet of him when it would be the main thing Em would remember of her father/and just him looking like in general

Also hi I needed an excuse to use this doodle again bc I just love this image?? I don’t often draw younger Em in the cult, but I’d like to do more backstory stuff in the future

Ironically enough even those most cult leaders take all of the things for themselves I actually don’t envision Dale Dixon to participate in everything Ciphertology ‘has to offer’ ie the multiple wives thing

Like he only keeps his one wife, but everyone else is free to have ‘as many wives as they want’

But when it comes to his children bro is quick to play favorites and put them in line wherever it makes the most sense in the community

Emma May unfortunately is not a favorite

But also hi?? Madeline Dixon as Dale Dixon’s younger sister is so real to me

I know I’ve already elaborated on this and the family a bit more in my ‘Emma May and Ciphertology’ post, but I sWEAR I wanna delve further into Madeline in the cult fr

Cause like..Lowkey lowkey I enjoy the idea of Dale running it as a puppet figure and Madeline being the one to truly be pulling the strings

Honestly this has been less me rambling on anything and important and more so a ‘yall this is all the stuff I wanna doodle and elaborate on in the future’ :3

Hi... I've had this stupid c00lsona on my mind a few months ago and I decided to finally make a post about her. I've settled on a pretty simple design (these screenshots were from 2 months ago or last month)

She was Originally P1X3LPR1NC3SS but then I had to change it for obvious reasons 😭😭😭 Anyway as a brief description , P1X3LP4L is supposedly based heavily on my forsaken headcanon or AU. She is the eldest sibling to c00lkidd. She is also a HUGE Brighteyes Fan, yes that will be relevant surrounding her personality in general.
