HISTORY

Delta was a denizen of the original colony that fled the city. She and a select few of her followers retreated to the rainforest and created a home among the dense foliage. She even cultivated a lost language between the “big cats” who already resided in the rainforest. Legend says she had the power to call forth rain whenever the colony needed it most. Many cats once believed that cats who had passed on brought forth clouds when she cried out to them at the highest point in the rainforest.

CURRENT HISTORY

(Took place 1 year ago from current timeline)

In a cruel twist of fate this colony was taken over by a huge black jaguar named Hemlock after he murdered their leader in cold blood along with countless others. The broken remains of the colony were renamed Umbra in honor of his own black pelt. A lot of history and stories of the original Rain Colony have been lost due to the senseless slaughter of the elderly cats in the colony. Any cat that speaks of Rain Colony, including mentioning the past leader by name, is brutally punished or killed.

TERRITORY

The Roaring Falls & The Storm Pool A waterfall located deep in the rainforest whose flow entirely depends on the amount of rainfall, thus why the pool in which the water cascades into is called the Storm Pool which is always at its highest during the rainy season. The Mother Tree/Umbra Camp A huge tree made up of multiple trees. This is the colony’s main base and where the dams and kittens reside as they cannot sleep in their nests among the treetops. The Wetlands A swampy area near the Storm Pool. The Dividing River A huge river that comes down from the mountains running through almost all the colony territories.

TRADITIONS

(Any Rain Colony traditions were done away with or lost. Making way for new traditions enforced by Hemlock.) Battle Royale A “chance” that Hemlock gives to all adult cats that wish to have their rank changed. Seen as “an opportunity” for pawns to advance in rank to either a favorite, scavenger, or a gladiator (granted they excel in battle) The Assortment When runts are old enough to begin learning Hemlock assigns them a rank and he leaves the responsibility of teaching to the current favorites, pawns, scavengers, and gladiators. Claws-Out Training All fighting training is done with unsheathed claws regardless of how young or old a cat is. “A real opponent will not hide their claws for you.”

Lactarius Deliciosus or Saffron Milkcup - my most favourite mushroom🧡

Beautiful, tasty, crunchy - this is what lizards think about when they see Saffron. No one knows exactly what kind of slugcat he is, but for some reason he attracts more predators than any other ones. Bad for him on one hand, but good for everyone else on the other. That’s why he is always ready to take the hit and lead the danger as far away from colony as possible. Even if it means he might need to be saved afterwards😅

He didn’t have any sort of special abilities or poisons like many other slugshrooms. So he can only rely on his strength and agility. And after years of training, he really became a good guard, although his work still sometimes leaves scars on his body

Saffron also loves to cook and even has his own secret recipes. With secret ingredient… Very special ingredient…

Yeah, he uses his milk sweat for cooking. It gives dishes a richer, sweet and spicy flavor and, as he believes, makes the dishes much tastier. But, for some reason, other slugcats didn't really appreciate his idea, and now he is not allowed to cook for everyone

However, Saffron continues to cook for himself and create new recipes. In a portable pot made from a snail shell, he always carries some of his signature soup, which he is ready to share with tired and lost travelers)))

This is blue-green stropharia. She forages for the colony and her sticky blue parts are good for storing items and catching batflies, mostly on accident. She prefers to stay in shaded moist areas.

I wish the show explored more with the ideas of Imperium going beyond normal boundaries and forcing their noses into other people's business. They clearly have constant surveillance beyond their own city, as Ras tells Dorama that the ninja's call to the police was intercepted. We also know that sometimes Claws get sent on just regular spying missions, as seen with Rapton in s1e11, spying on the ninja at the Monastery and following them to the World Forest. Then there's the matter of the hidden, underground Imperium train network? At the very least we know there are stations hidden beneath both the Crossroads and Imperium... but what about elsewhere? Are they hidden and burrowed deep in other lands they have no business in, too?

The iterators belonging to Solstice are always in constant exposure to paramount religious practices. If they are not strong willed it is easy to slip beneath the cracks and drown in the delusion. It is a miracle Omni hasn't gone under themselves.

My scugshrooms for @mushroominaforest mushroom slugcat colony!

They two are sisters called rainbow and chanterelle! Based of the rainbow chanterelle mushroom! Rainbow is an exceptional cook, and she can make a delicious meal out of anything. Her younger sister chanterelle mostly provides the ingredients. These two used to have a bigger family, about 7 of them, but they were all slaughtered by vultures. They are both very good at navigating thier surroundings.

I mostly got all the info about these mushrooms from this post I only looked up a few additional things
