THE FAMILY INFO
RELATIONS
Tide: Neutral/Friendly Umbra: Indifferent Summit: Hostile
FOUNDER
Pitch
CURRENT BOSS
Donna
COLONY HISTORY
Pitch was one of the few cats that remained after the original colony's exodus. They were the guiding light to the cats that had been ravaged by the events that split up the great colony they once were. They expressed contempt towards the cats that had fled and “forgotten” their roots in the city. They have been long divorced from the other colonies and frown upon their way of life just as the colonies frown upon theirs.
TERRITORY
The Family rarely, if ever, need to explore outside of the city so they do not have much territory outside of its radius. If anything a few specialized grunts take trips outside to spy on their neighbors.
The Stone Bridge A huge bridge that stretches over the Dividing River and connects Tide territory to The Family’s territory. The Towering Den An abandoned apartment building where most of The Renegades live or have meetings at.
PREY
Human trash/scraps
Cat food
Birds
Rats/mice
Lizards
PREDATORS
Dogs
Aggressive humans
TRADITIONS
A Paw in Each World The Family has no prejudice against housecats and includes them in their ranks. Some choose to leave their owners to stay with the Family full time in the towering den while others offer their services whenever they have some time outside of their human’s den. Human-Speak Somehow the family has adopted words that the separated colonies have forgotten and a few skilled housecats can read human scribble to a very rudimentary extent.

UMBRA COLONY (RAIN COLONY) INFO
RELATIONS
The Family: Neutral Tide: Hostile Summit: Hostile
FOUNDER
Delta
CURRENT LEADER
Ripple Cloud (Formerly Ripplecall) Hemlock
HISTORY
Delta was a denizen of the original colony that fled the city. She and a select few of her followers retreated to the rainforest and created a home among the dense foliage. She even cultivated a lost language between the “big cats” who already resided in the rainforest. Legend says she had the power to call forth rain whenever the colony needed it most. Many cats once believed that cats who had passed on brought forth clouds when she cried out to them at the highest point in the rainforest.
CURRENT HISTORY
(Took place 1 year ago from current timeline)
In a cruel twist of fate this colony was taken over by a huge black jaguar named Hemlock after he murdered their leader in cold blood along with countless others. The broken remains of the colony were renamed Umbra in honor of his own black pelt. A lot of history and stories of the original Rain Colony have been lost due to the senseless slaughter of the elderly cats in the colony. Any cat that speaks of Rain Colony, including mentioning the past leader by name, is brutally punished or killed.
TERRITORY
The Roaring Falls & The Storm Pool A waterfall located deep in the rainforest whose flow entirely depends on the amount of rainfall, thus why the pool in which the water cascades into is called the Storm Pool which is always at its highest during the rainy season. The Mother Tree/Umbra Camp A huge tree made up of multiple trees. This is the colony’s main base and where the dams and kittens reside as they cannot sleep in their nests among the treetops. The Wetlands A swampy area near the Storm Pool. The Dividing River A huge river that comes down from the mountains running through almost all the colony territories.
PREY
Small snakes, lizards, & turtles
Certain types of frog
Tropical birds
Smaller species of monkeys
PREDATORS
Large snakes
Larger bird species
Larger monkeys & apes
Jaguars & other big cats
TRADITIONS
(Any Rain Colony traditions were done away with or lost. Making way for new traditions enforced by Hemlock.) Battle Royale A “chance” that Hemlock gives to all adult cats that wish to have their rank changed. Seen as “an opportunity” for pawns to advance in rank to either a favorite, scavenger, or a gladiator (granted they excel in battle) The Assortment When runts are old enough to begin learning Hemlock assigns them a rank and he leaves the responsibility of teaching to the current favorites, pawns, scavengers, and gladiators. Claws-Out Training All fighting training is done with unsheathed claws regardless of how young or old a cat is. “A real opponent will not hide their claws for you.”

SUMMIT COLONY INFO
RELATIONS
Tide: Strained Umbra: Hostile The Family: Hostile
FOUNDER
Orson
CURRENT LEADER
HawkSun (Formerly Hawkstep)
HISTORY
Orson lost many friends and family during the great colony’s exodus from the city so he fostered much hatred towards humans. He wanted nothing more than to be as far away from them as possible. He found peace and solitude in the untamed wilderness of the mountains. He did not want leadership, yet his followers chose him nonetheless, trailing him up the dangerous terrain.
TERRITORY
The Maw/Summit Camp A large communal cave where the colony sleeps. The Depths An expansive system of tunnels that cavers brave everyday The Founding Falls A series of waterfalls that is considered the source of the far-reaching Dividing River The Wellspring A large pond with fresh water. Fed by the Founding Falls.
PREY
Bats
Lizards
Birds
PREDATORS
Large birds of prey
TRADITIONS
Starlit Blessing When a cat receives their full name and rank they, much like Tide Colony, spend a vigil at the very top of the mountain exposed to the stars and the elements Bouldering Summit is the only colony to hold their kittens back before they begin legitimate training under a tutor. Young students (even kittens) are taught basic skills for scaling the mountain to avoid incidents. Only when a student is around 10 moons old does their rank-specific training begin.

TIDE COLONY INFO
RELATIONS
The Family: Friendly Umbra: Wary/Fearful Summit: Neutral
FOUNDER
Azure
CURRENT LEADER
Moon Tide (Formerly Tidesight)
HISTORY
Azure was one cat among many in the original colony that escaped from the city during a mass purging of cats. She’d always been considered odd by most of her peers for her love of water. Seeing the ocean for the first time while fleeing her home, the stars and the moon unhindered by the city lights she was enraptured. She still harbored some mistrust towards humans so she made her home the seaside caves. Other like-minded cats followed her lead. Becoming devout followers of the Moon and Ocean.
TERRITORY
The Tidepools Self-explanatory. Prime spot for fishers to catch their prey. The Village A small little seaside town. The humans that live here are a lot more laid back and quiet than the city folk. The Docks Where fishers who want an easy meal for their colony will go. Some loiter there to beg humans for their fresh catches while other braver souls are known to accompany the humans on their boats. The Dividing River A river that runs through almost every territory. Some tutors bring their students here to train near its banks or under the stone bridge. Sandy Palms A section of Tide-Kin territory where palm trees grow. A perfect area for sparring. The trees steadily transition into the rainforest territory of the Umbra Colony Tide Camp A small cluster of sea-side caves that have tunnel systems leading into the mountains The Cliffs A rocky area near camp that leads to a sheer drop into the ocean. Some cats are assigned to patrol there to make sure there aren't any rambunctious kittens playing near the edge.
PREY
Seabirds (seagulls, terns, etc.)
Fish (both salt and freshwater)
Crustaceans
Beach mice & ground squirrels
PREDATORS
Violent humans (rarely)
Venomous snakes or jellyfish
Marine carnivores
TRADITIONS
Tide Vigil When a student is given their full name they spend a night near the ocean under the watch of the moon and stars. They are required to stay awake until dawn.
