Finn crashed through the undergrowth of the forest, her highly customized messenger bag making a racket as she ran. Snowflakes drifted down, thick enough to settle on the ferns and grass without melting. It wasn't too cold—at least, not by Finn's standards (Idiot Canadian). It was only -6° outside, or at least it had been last time she checked.

She wasn’t wearing a jacket, just a graphic tee, baggy jeans, and flannel.

Finn skidded to a halt as she reached the creek, her breathing shallow. She collapsed onto an oddly flat rock beside the gurgling water. Normally, she would take in the beauty of the place—the way the snowflakes touched the rushing creek before vanishing—but her mind wouldn’t settle.

Her thoughts had her in a chokehold, tightening around her lungs, cutting off her oxygen.

Easily replaceable.

Retarded.

Stupid.

Not even worth staying here for.

You'll never be enough.

Rather die than stay with you.

She brushed her paw against the cold rocks, trying to ground herself. It didn’t work. Her mind buzzed like static on radio station 1.07. The longer she sat there, the louder the voices became.

"That's fucking it," Finn whispered, surprised her voice was steady.

She dug hastily through her bag, searching for the small object. Her fingers brushed against it, the edge sharp enough to scratch her skin as she pulled it from the side pocket.

She had come to the creek to calm down. She thought it would work—it usually did.

The shiny blade trembled in her paw. Her conscience screamed at her to stop, but the crashing wave of thoughts drowned it out. It'll help, she told herself, willing it to be true.

Holding her arm out over the creek, she pressed the blade against her fur and dragged it diagonally. The pressure wasn’t much, but it still stung.

Coward.

Her hands shook—not just from the cold—as she pressed deeper. A sharp gasp escaped her as blood trickled into the water. She knew it was bad. Still, she did it again. And again. Tiny red lines bloomed against her arm, fur matted with blood.

The sight startled her. The blade slipped from her fingers, tumbling into the rushing creek. She reached out instinctively, but pain shot through her arm, making her recoil with a whimper. Clutching her wounded arm to her chest, she curled up on the snowy rocks, silent tears slipping down her cheeks.

A part of her tried to be rational. Stop the bleeding. Do something.

But another part of her—the one that had been whispering in her head for months—relished in the pain. You deserve this.

She hadn’t thought about what to do next.

She hugged her knees to her chest and let the buzzing in her mind continue—quieter now, at least.

"Finn! Finnsy?!"

The frantic shouts broke through her thoughts.

Her best friend, Lucy.

Snow scattered as Lucy pushed through the ferns, panting. The moment she saw Finn, she gasped and dropped to the ground beside her.

"Oh... Finn, no..."

Tears welled in Finn’s eyes as Lucy took in the scene. Without hesitation, she pulled Finn into a tight hug. Then, gently, she took her arm, examining the wounds.

"C-C'mon, I'll help you clean this up."

Finn expected her to demand an explanation. To get angry. But she didn’t.

After a moment, Finn’s sobs quieted. She took a shaky breath.

Lucy slipped off her own coat and draped it over Finn’s shoulders before helping her stand. Together, they walked through the snow covered ferns, heading toward Lucy’s house.

Guys wait whenever I think about this I actually laugh ok.

So I remember reading pokespe and when yellow was introduced I was super interested in him, like oh? And I was so excited when I was able to read the books about her when they were at the library. BUT. I distinctly remember me saying that I liked him cause she was a girl, but like, she was disguised as a boy. And like. Sighhhhhh. I really hated when I opened a later book to discover that she was just a girl now?! I unno man. No child me didn't know what trans or any of that whas I just was in love with how yellow disguised a boy. I don't remember why he decided to pretend to be a boy anyway................ I wanna read the books about yellow again though.

( also ik I said gold used to be my favorite but it was actually yellow. Gold was my favorite to draw, yellow was always my all time favorite I just didn't know how to draw her.)

Kay so. My English teacher. I think hes new to this school cuz I've never seen him but I think he teaches a drama class so that might b why I don't know him. But I'm in his English class and, hes not that bad. Parently hes mostly known as the gay teacher. But uhh yeah he answers questions like they genuinely dont bother him and they aren't stupid questions, which is weirdd. He scares me just a bit tho, cause he actually cares. He noticed I literally am struggling to keep awake in class and I obviously probably look like shit. I pray he will leave it alone tho.

My sis once again wanted to see silver and I showed her this page. And like. Heh silver is so silly.

This page made me laugh. Gold is like okay!! Were even now! And silver is like nahh fuck off. Silver is written so good in the manga! From what ik anyways cuz ik spoilers. In the game hes a dick for no apparent reason.

Then this.? Gold just decides never mind abt catching silver, i juz wanna be his friend. Is he just gonna follow him?! Cuz after this he goes straight on his way to follow where silver went. But bro...he told ya not to follow him. Idk. I did peek in the second book and I don't really know what golds plan is.

Excited to read more tho. Nd cant wait till crystal appears!, I remember really liking her and golds relationship and she also has chikorita!!!

I also really liked bugsy here but I didn't get a picture. Also apparently bugsy's a boy.........I had no clue in all my years of pokemon, I thought he was a girl. Oops. How did he know silver was a boy but not bugsy!!!??!

Also gold and silvers rivalry is so stupid it's funny. To me anyways.

Oh and also I lovee the art style in here, it looks so cool. They look so smol. I can definitely believe they're 10.

I got motivated to play it again because uhh stupid reason.

Anyway, I'm noticing it's a lot different than pokemon black. I mean, obviously they're different games duhh. But in gold I only have 1 (one) rival. oONE?? it's so. Guh. One rival. And its silver. Silver hates my ass!! But in black I have 2 rivals, we meet regularly in each town, battle eachother and stuff. And there's also N, hes a rival too. 3 (three!!!) Rivals/friends in that game!! Awesome! Its always something too look forward too, N randomly showing up, cheren and his pokemon battles, bianca and. Yeah bianca is awesome. Never gonna be bored in the next town you arrive in cuz someone'll be there! but in soulsilver, I have silver as my only rival. And JHHHGFSSGGHHH. Hes such a JERK and hes not even in every town like??? Idk when I'll see him again!! Silver just be my friend and we can travel all across johto together^^ yay whimsy! But no, he hates me because he thinks I'm a weak wimp bruh. Smh probably cuz I stole his wallet at the beginning but like,,cmon bro I gave it back.
