Mostly because if I write it, it'll take a lot of effort, and I think I'll be writing for an audience of one, LOL, given that I tend to get slightly technical with vedic astrology, and my whole thesis is based on vedic astrology, LMAO. And, bc this is already in my mind, I didn't really think to elaborate on it, given how much vedic astrology exposition I would have to do. DISCLAIMER: I am not trying to say that any of this is REAL, I am simply pointing out coincidences and patterns that are interesting to me. While I believe in astrology, I don't expect others to, and I'm uninterested in arguing about the causes, effects, and underlying meaning of any of this. I just find it interesting

Basic thing is that Dan has Ketu (South Node) in the first house, and that is interesting, because Ketu is quite an invisible planet. Like, what it rules is authenticity, purity, soul purpose, divine inspiration, isolation. When you think of a planet like this, it's almost impossible for it to get famous, if that makes any sense. Fame would ruin the purity of a planet like this. The ideal expression of this planet is as a saint or a monk, away from the world.

Fortunately, this planet is always expressed to the masses through its opposite, Rahu (North Node). Rahu is a planet that rules glamour, the material world, fame, the occult. Rahu and Ketu are two halves of a whole, often symbolized by an immortal beheaded serpent. Ketu is considered to be the body of the serpent (lacking senses, but has the ability to move using muscle memory), and Rahu, the head of the serpent (ability to speak, think, see, focus, but unable to act). Having Ketu in first house means that Dan's Rahu is in the seventh house, the house of the partner.

Because Ketu is associated with purity, it's also associated with loss, fire, and doom. Kind of like, it burns down whatever is in its way, and what remains is the purest form of the object (According to hindu mythology, the material world is not real, and ashes, then, show the inherent nothingness of the world. brand appropriate for Dan). This is where we get into Dan's first symbolic brand, which is "danisnotonfire". With this branding, Dan sort of erases the effect of the firey nature of Ketu, and increase his Rahu. Funnily enough, according to the Vimshottari Dasha system, his Rahu dasha (activation period for Rahu) began in April 2009. I couldn't begin to make this shit up, because Dan started his twitter account in May 2009, a month after his rahu dasha started. This dasha will end in April 2027, btw.

With Rahu being in the house of the spouse, this name is also what attracted his partner to him (Phil has pretty significant Rahu in his chart, as well, which is why he is indicated by Rahu in Dan's chart, but Dan's Rahu is stronger, just harder for him to access, since it is not HIM). This partner also brought him fame and material gain.

Because Rahu is associated with glamour, it's also associated with inauthenticity, hoarding (material resources are simply not real), anxiety and, also... fun. Ketu is all about purity, doom and gloom, and meditation, but Rahu is about stimulation. If you get too into it, and base your life on it, it becomes anxiety inducing, but if you treat it as a video game you can log out of anytime, it starts to become fun and enjoyable. Unfortunately, this is very difficult for most people to do, because Rahu is the material reality that tries to trick you into thinking it is the most important thing in the world.

Rahu and Ketu require for there to be a balance, basically, for their ideal expressions, because excess of Ketu brings depression and inertia, while excess of Rahu brings anxiety and overstimulation. They are natural cures for one another. Rahu and Ketu are also not real planets, and they are mathematical points that are meant to show the timings for... eclipses. Yes, a classic Dan Branding!!!!

The best way to deal with Rahu and Ketu is by enjoying Rahu, and then burning down the Rahu with Ketu whenever it gets too anxiety inducing. So, when Dan got tired of the inauthenticity of Rahu, he basically burned down the danisnotonfire brand, to be more authentic to himself. And, during this time as Daniel Howell (his true self, in a way), he posted less, and he came out as gay to be true to himself (Ketu authenticity).

Because he actively tried to strengthen his Ketu during this time, he also lost a lot of projects he meant to do (ketu rules loss, if you guys remember), and had a bit of a difficult time. Ketu isn't an easy planet to deal with, AT ALL. Strong Ketu means dealing with constant failures, dislike from other people, and being forcibly isolated in many ways. That said, Ketu is still a force to be reckoned with, and if something is successful even when Ketu is strong, it's considered extremely important, materially as well as spiritually, because it is divinely guided, and Dan executed some of his absolute best work during this time, as well, as is natural for ketu.

Anyway, Dan's new return to youtube is marked by... DanandPhilGames, the channel where he is with Phil, who represents his Rahu. With Phil, he can gain a lot of success, because Rahu allows you to do the fun and silly projects that Ketu will never let you do.

Topic: How the darakaraka and the seventh house lord have shown up in our relationships

To start off this long post my darakaraka is mars and my seventh house lord is Saturn/Rahu (Sidereal Leo Rising) so this post will be centered on these placements. If you have these placements or know somebody with these placements please feel free to reblog and add your/their experience. If not, still feel free to enjoy as I muse on astrology and over share about my personal life to strangers on the internet.

A mars darakaraka indicates that your spouse or life partner may have mars ruled signs Aries or Scorpio in their big three, the mars ruled nakshatras mrigashira, chitra, or dhanistha) in their big three, a prominent mars in their chart (i.e mars conjunct sun, moon or rising), etc. The romantic partners of people with a mars darakaraka may have impulsive tendencies, be inclined to athleticism, may take on the role of protector in relationships, and may struggle with regulating their anger.

Having a mars darakaraka can show having partners with certain physical traits such as:

An athletic figure, skin that is reddish for instance when they run and get out of breath their skin may get flushed, height may be average, or a stocky build.

My first kiss was with a girl who was an aries sun. She was pale with dark eyes but had dark brown hair that looked a bit red in the sunlight. She was American but was the first American in her family because the rest of her family was Ecuadorian (This is where Rahu comes into play by the way). I remember she would do random stuff all the time like climb trees just to do it. One distinct memory I have of her is the time she decided to climb through the second floor window of her house instead of just walking to the front and using the front door like a normal person. She ended up cutting her knee on the window sill pretty badly. Aries placements and their battle scars *sigh*. We didn't end up dating because she ended up pregnant like a month later and after the baby was born she named my older sister the godmother. By the way we were like 12/13 when this all happened. We don't need to discuss this... Lets move on.

With my seventh house being in Aquarius, the ruler of my seventh house would be both Rahu and Saturn. In Vedic Astrology a Saturn ruled seventh house is said to indicate that your partner may have physical traits associated with Saturn.

These traits include but are not limited to:

Prominent teeth (i.e an overbite, buck teeth, a gap between the teeth, or even a missing tooth), darker features, either dark and greyish skin or really pale skin, thick curly/coarse hair or baldness, thin/bony body composition, either looks older then they are or does not seem to age.

Considering how my longest standing celebrity crush in high school was Timothee Chalamet... this adds up.

Also the first guy I "dated" (quotes because we went on one date then I blocked him because he was too passive and demure... also he was not a good lover but mostly the first part) was also very Saturnian in appearance. He was 6'2, rail thin, and dark skinned (as in a dark skinned black person); with my mars darakaraka coming into play he was also an athlete, specifically a college basketball player. My type on paper but his virgo stellium just didn't do it for me. (Sorry to my fellow tropical/sidereal virgos out there. I love you guys but just for friendships.)

My last real crush was a girl I went to high school with. She was short, pale, had freckles, dark hair and dark eyes that she would say looked like demon eyes because they were so black. She was on the schools softball team so she had a more athletic build. She had a very, VERY loud voice and seemed to attract conflict everywhere she went partially due to her own anger issues. We were friends and I never told her I liked her because she had a crush on a girl named Rachel but mostly because my entire friend group hated her. Like, they could not be in the same room without screaming at each other.

I love you guys but oh my lord Martian people really do attract problems everywhere they go.

Relocation in the natal chart

There are a few indications in the natal chart (Rasi or D-1) for which it is better and more beneficial for an individual to relocate (including immigration):

Empty kendra houses (1, 4, 7, 10 houses) - kendra houses are the strongest houses and having them empty means that an individual doesn't have enough support in those areas of life making relocation potentially beneficial and useful

The birth chart is stronger if looking from the 12th house which is occupied by planets ( "putting" the 12th house to the 1st)

Note! A natal chart from the 12th house will only be the additional chart to analyse. Rasi, D-4 (Chaturhamsha divisional chart which shows inner happiness, home matters and relationships with family and homeland) and Navamsha (D-9 divisional chart) remain the most important to evaluate the relocation.

HOUSES AND RELOCATION

THE THIRD (3) house - short-distance trips and relocation (to another city or a part of the country)

The FOURTH (4) house -homeland and actual place of living

The SEVENTH (7) house - relocation due to business matters, a spouse

The EIGHTH (8) house - relocation due to medical treatment

The NINETH (9) house - relocation to distant lands, relocation due to getting higher education, work abroad, pilgrimage. Generally successful trips.

The TWELFTH (12) house - relocation to distant lands, immigration, pilgrimage, peregrination, loss of connection with the homeland

PLANETS (OBJECTS) AND RELOCATION

The north node RAHU - foreign connections and influences, unexpected, extreme relocation.

Note! Considering a big planetary period (dasha) when the relocation occurs is always good.

The quality or reason for relocation depends on the planet…

SUN - relocation due to father or other authority figure, governmental support (or issues), or work/business matters

MOON - relocation due to family matters (including marriage), mother, and/ or spouse (for males)

MARS - swift relocation (when decision was taken quickly), relocation due to lover (for females), or due to brothers

MERCURY - relocation due to business, studies, friends. Mercury might give issues with documents during relocation

JUPITER - good relocation and lucky trips. Relocation due to opening or expansion of a business and financial matters, higher education, spouse (for females) and pilgrimage (relocation e.g., to remote sanctuary abroad)

SATURN - relocation due to some duties and responsibilities (including forced relocation), older people (e.g., family members or older partner), relocation due to some pressures and obstacles

RAHU - relocation due to connections with foreign lands, foreigners and partners. Unexpected, unusual, swift and even extreme relocations

KETU - relocation due to unexpected sickness, losses, and spiritual pursuits. Sudden, unusual, mystical relocation with possible strange situations ( including disappear).

REASONS TO RELOCATE

THE 4TH HOUSE - one of the most important houses to evaluate the reasons to relocate. The house governs the place of living, level of inner happiness, relations with mother and homeland.

Factors affecting the desire to move away:

Afflicted 4th house (malefics and their aspects to the 4th house) in Rasi (D-1), Chaturhamsha (D-4), and Navamsha (D-9) may push a person forward to move away.

Rahu and Ketu bhavottama is not that much auspicious in this 1st-7th axis as the afflicted planets/shadow planets are getting double the power and thus enhances the not-so-ideal characteristics in the individual. Bhavottama is less powerful when compared with vargottama planets.

If a person has 1st-7th Rahu-Ketu axis and its either vargottama or bhavottama, it denotes that their materialistic desires or detachment issues in partnerships are more heightened than people who have it only in their D1 chart. It is advisable to find a partner who understands their thought process, dreams and priorities when it comes to marriage making.

During their planetary period, the native may have exaggerated desires and likes to be create a very popular self image which can be deceiving at times, they may ignore or do not focus much in commitments like marriage and can grow disinterested or detached with people around them, especially their partner.
